Democrats and Their Words

The anti war Hillary (as opposed to pro war Hillary) showed up to speak at General Petraeus (none of them speak to him) and she said that it would take “a willing suspension of disbelief†to accept the General’s assessment of the situation in Iraq. The General has been on the ground in Iraq for a bit longer than a photo op or two with the troops and he is a leader, unlike Hillary who people follow out of morbid curiosity. It is interesting that Rodham would question the veracity of the statements made by a hero while ignoring those things that really take “a willing suspension of disbelief” such as:
- “I did not have sex with that woman”
- that Hillary was unaware of Bill’s many affairs
- That hubby worked harder than anyone to get bin Laden (BTW Dems, where is the criticism in this regard?)
- That Hillary did not know where her billing records were
- That Hillary and Bill were victims in Whitewater
- That Hillary was not involved in illegal fund raising
This is just a small list of items that take “a willing suspension of disbelief.†The clincher is that Hillary has Sandy “Hot Pants” Berger as one of her foreign policy advisers. Now it takes a suspension of a lot of things to think that Berger, who pleaded guilty to taking classified material without authorization, would be a top adviser to anyone but another criminal, but I digress…
Bill Richardson participated in a debate in Florida hosted by a Spanish network. I wrote a post about what he said to the people at the debate , which was conducted in Spanish (Spanish questions were translated to English and the answers back to Spanish). In case you missed it, Richardson said:
“I’m disappointed today that 43 million Latinos in this country — for them not to hear one of their own speak Spanish, is unfortunate,†Richardson said. “In other words, Univision is promoting English-only in this debate.â€
However, in July he said this:
Speaking to a group of about 100 supporters before the forum, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson promoted his status as the first Hispanic to run for president.
“I’m not running as a Latino candidate. I’m running as an American governor who is enormously proud to be Latino,” he said to cheers. Fox News
If he is running as an American governor who is proud to be Latino then why was he disappointed that the Latinos would not get to hear “one of their own” speak Spanish. It sure seems that when he spoke to the Latino crowd he was running as a Latino.
These are just two that happened to pop up while I was searching for something so I figured I would show them in the appropriate light. Now it is your turn. Use the comments section to write about the Democrats you know who talk out of both sides of their face in short periods of time. Don’t give me some guy who was pro life 20 years ago and changed to pro abortion last year, people can change over time. Give me the ones who change back and forth depending upon where they are and to whom they are speaking.
Have at it.
A reminder that I will be in DC for the Operation Eagle Justice this weekend. I plan on taking a lot of pictures.

I do not have a Hemmingway nor a Faulkner pressing my mind at the moment for you, because I am overcome with a feeling that is very foreign to me. It is overwhelming. It is raw. It is good. The feeling for which I am referring is Friendship.
