I’ve Joined The Marine Team

As many of you know this old Dog is a retired United States Soldier. I am proud to have served my country and am willing to go back if ever needed to end the reign of terror throughout the world. There are many patriots out there and they are coming home with horrible wounds. I was asked and have gladly accepted an offer to be part of the Project Valour-IT Blogger Fund raising Competition. I am on the Marine Team! When it deals with sports and other friendly competition I will always side with my Army but in this fund raising competition no one loses because the outcome benefits all warfighters who have a need.

WHAT: Friendly fundraising competition for Valour-IT.
WHEN: November 2nd through Veterans Day (the 11th).
WHERE: Based in the blogosphere, spreading everywhere else.
WHY: Because giving wounded warriors with hand and arm injuries access to a computer supports their healing and puts them back in touch with the world.
HOW: Blogger teams will be divided along military branches, with civilians “up for grabs.” Prospective team leaders were approached yesterday Wednesday (waiting for replies). When the leadership is announced, you will have the opportunity to join the team of your choice.

Additional information: every donor during this time will receive a Soldiers’ Angels Coin. We are also working on providing T-shirts for larger donations.

Holly Aho is our team leader and I know she is as tenacious as a bulldog. She worked long and hard last evening to try fixing a trackback problem (I owed her that mention). This is what our fearless leader says:
