Democrats Fail to Support the Troops
Nov 20, 2007 Political
Too often the word is put out that the Democratic Party supports the troops and anyone who dares to question that is castigated by anyone associated with that group. People can’t really be blamed for the perception that the Democrats do not support the troops because they have a strange way of showing their support. In the past year they have voted on over 40 pieces of legislation designed to hurt the mission and to lose the war. They opposed the troop surge and now that the evidence is clear that the surge is providing benefits they claim it is not and that a decorated general is a liar. They have trumpeted the cry that we have lost the war and they wave the white flag in front of our enemies. This is what passes as support and how dare anyone question that. The same holds true with funding the war.
The Democrats have tried very hard to take money away from the troops who are in harm’s way. They haggle over cut and run strategies while those who are in harm’s way are denied the very items they need to survive. The Democrats have taken a beating from their fringe kooks who have chided them every time they voted for more money yet the Democrats are never voting to fund the troops. They are voting on a military package that they have loaded with pork because they realize this is the only way to push their unpopular agenda. They have added minimum wage increases and all kinds of other items that have nothing to do with the war to the spending bill because they know that the President will sign it as long as it does not have a time line for withdraw.
After taking a beating for the past year the Democrats are again playing politics with our troops. The president has asked for $196 billion to continue the war effort and the Democrats have responded by offering a $50 billion dollar package but only if it contains provisions for the withdrawal of our troops. They want to begin bringing them home by the end of December and have them completely out by the end of next year. This is a debate that has been rejected time and again so now the Democrats, fed up with the beating they are taking, have decided that they will not provide any money unless it includes a cut and run strategy. This is going to cause problems.
The Pentagon has announced that about 200,000 federal employees will be furloughed between now and February if the money is not authorized. The Secretary of Defense has reported that many military bases will operate with only enough people to provide protective services (fire, police, security) for the people living on those bases. The furlough notices will go out before Christmas and people will begin being told to stay home just after the first of the year. The troops will not have money or equipment and now they will not have the federal employees here to support them and their mission. This is nothing but pure politics and it comes at the cost of peoples paychecks which is always bad but even more so around this time of the year. Even more importantly, our troops will be placed in increased danger because of the politics of the Democratic Party, a party that does not have the guts to just cut off all funding for the war.
The Democrats have failed to pass any of the required budget items this year. They are months overdue and it does not look like they will be getting this accomplished any time soon. In addition to neglecting their Constitutional duties with regard to the budget, they have also neglected their Constitutional duty to provide for our war fighters.
So I have news for you Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and all you other left wing pukes. Don’t you dare tell me that you support the troops. Don’t you dare come out and act like you care about them and don’t you discuss how wonderful your party is with regard to them. You have abandoned them time and again and you have put their mission and their safety in jeopardy. If you ever say that you support the troops again someone should punch you right in the mouth.
I want the people in this country to remember that it is the Democrats who are screwing our troops. No matter who gets the nod in the primaries, none of them are fit to serve as Commander in Chief. The ones who are in Congress have voted to cut funding for the troops. They want to be the leaders of the greatest military in the world and yet they lack the guts to properly fund the people who make up that military and whose lives depend on Congress doing its damned job. This should be a wake up call to those who are sitting on the fence with regard to the next election. None of the Democrats are fit to serve. They are selling out our troops and are selling out our country. To hell with all of them. It is also important to remember that many of the ones who are not running for the presidency are up for reelection next year. It is time to send everyone of them packing.
Obviously, the Congress has to appropriate money for their own salaries and they need to send that to the President to be signed. The President should veto the appropriation for their pay until they get money to the troops without the strings attached. If the Congress votes to override the veto for their own pay it will send a clear message that they care about their own asses more than they care about our troops.
My challenge to the twits in Congress is simple. Either cut off all funding for the war completely right now or appropriate the money needed to properly fund them. You have the power to vote to end the authority for the war and to end the funding. Ask your older colleagues, they know how from their cut and run days during Vietnam. If you oppose the war have the testicular fortitude to cut off the funding and bring the troops home. Otherwise, let the President run the military and you fund it as the Constitution spells out. I realize you don’t want to be seen as weak on national security or not supportive of the troops but believe me, that ship has sailed.
Your party is weak on national security and none of you filthy slugs supports the troops. Perhaps instead of asking Hillary about what jewelry she prefers someone could ask this stinking wench why she does not support the troops.
And President Bush, let me show you how to deal with these jackasses. Tell them that you will veto every thing they send up until you get the money for the military and that there will be no money for anything including their staff and all federal employees will be furloughed, including Congress, if they don’t get their act together.

Martin O’Malley is a Pompous Ass
Nov 20, 2007 Political
I have written several times about the huge tax increase that was just passed in the state of Maryland by the tax and spend Democrats who were led by the pompous ass himself, Martin O’Malley. It is common knowledge that these idiots did this now so that we would forget about it when the next election rolls around in three years. I also informed people that O’Malley has dreams of serving in a Democratic administration in DC so he really does not care how he screws us. O’Malley, who proved he cannot lead when he was Mayor of Baltimore, was interviewed after he signed the tax increases into law. Let us look at what this dimwit had to say:
“And I’m very, very proud of them,” says Governor O’Malley. “Also know, that this would not have had happened were it not for some really courageous leadership by President Miller and Speaker Mike Busch. Both of whom had to bend and had to yield and had come together in the center in order for us to forge this consensus.”
Governor O’Malley said, for the most part, the people of the state, on both sides of the issues during the special session, handled the public discussion in a civil way.
“Even among the Republican members of this body, there was an understanding that this was a deep and serious problem,” said O’Malley in his exclusive interview with WBAL. “There were very few of them once the debate arrived who were feeding any longer that myth that this could all be accomplished by cuts alone.”
And what would he say to the strongest critics of his tax increases?
“I would say that I have yet to meet any citizen of our state, Democrat, Republican or Independent who wants to pay more in taxes,” said O’Malley. “However, none of us want to leave our state to our kids in a weaker condition than we received it ourselves.” WBAL Radio
So O’Malley thinks there was a consensus? All the Democrats voted for the tax increases and all the Republicans voted against it. The fact is, Maryland has a super majority of Democrats so they win the vote in the legislature. Regardless, this is in no way a consensus. Of course to a Democrat it is consensus because as long as people are forced to do things their way it is consensus. I might expect this guy would not understand the definition of consensus because he believes a flat tax is unfair and raising the percentages on those making more money is. How anyone can believe the mindless tripe that spews out of his pie hole is beyond me.
He also discusses courageous leadership. These two guys, miller and Busch counted heads and then let those Democrats in vulnerable seats vote against it so long as they still had the votes to pass it. Additionally, these cowards kicked the can down the road with regard to the slots issue. Instead of having the courage to pass slots NOW they decided it would go to referendum and be on the 2008 ballot. This means that it will be six years after the last governor first proposed slots before it is even voted upon. If these cowards that O’Malley thinks are courageous would have voted for slots in 2002 we would be well on our way to fiscal health. Instead, these whiny little school girls played games while Maryland got deeper in debt, a debt created because these jerks do not know how to control spending.
No Republican who left the special session has indicated that he had some epiphany and realized that this could not be accomplished by spending cuts alone. None of them voted for the tax increases and they continue to say that it could have been handled by controlling spending but Democrats do not know how to control spending. O’Malley is already starting the lies and the spinning so when the state goes in the dumper due to the inflation and high taxes he can blame it on someone else. This jackass is famous for crying and blaming everyone else. Any time you want to discuss your stupidity Marty, contact me and I will be glad to put you in your place and expose your stupidity. I will give you something to cry about.
Finally, O’Malley could not discuss screwing everyone without playing Democrat and telling us how this is for the children. O’Malley raised taxes, allowed the electric rates to increase after promising they would not and he has added even more spending to the budget in the form of free health care. He is screwing the children over because their parents will not have enough money to feed them. This little loser twerp is trying to justify the biggest tax increase in the state’s history by saying it is for the kids.
I have an idea Marty. If you want to leave this state in better shape than you found it, replace all the Democrats in office with Republicans.
Folks, don’t let this lying little piece of maggot feces pull the wool over your eyes. He intended to raise taxes and would have done so if we had billions of dollars of extra money floating around. This twerp is no leader. he could not lead a group of people out of a burning building.
Screw you O’Malley and all the Democrats who voted for this ignorance.

No Hablas No Problem
Nov 19, 2007 Political
To a rational person it only makes sense to require workers to speak the native tongue of the country in which they work. This is not to say that people who do temporary work in other countries should have to learn the native language, that is what interpreters are for. However, when a person moves into a country and decides that he will live and work there then that person has an obligation to learn the language of the country in which he lives. If anyone does not want to learn the language then no employer should be required to hire that person. That is, unless you are an employer in the United States and your elected leaders pander to groups of people, many of whom are here ILLEGALLY, that vote overwhelmingly for a particular party.
Nancy Pelosi has threatened to block an amendment to a bill that would protect employers from lawsuits if they refused to hire someone who does not speak English. This all came about because some Hispanic Democrats threatened to vote against a patch that would fix the Alternative Minimum Tax for a year, a move that would prevent millions of wage earners from being taxed as if they were millionaires. In other words, the Hispanic Democrats are willing to hurt wage earners in favor of helping people who pay little in taxes, would probably never be affected by the AMT and who refuse to learn English. I thought that members of Congress represented this country and not people who, in large part, do not belong here. The main antagonist is Representative Charles Gonzalez of Texas, a man who probably swan across the Rio to get here. Gonzalez said “If it is not relevant [speaking English on the job], it is discriminatory, it is gratuitous, it is a subterfuge to discriminate against people based on national origin.”
Just how is this discriminatory and who gave Congress the right to tell a private employer what qualifications he is allowed to set for employees? I understand that they may legislate against discrimination for race, creed, age and a number of other things but if an employer requires English then it is none of Congresses’ business. The fact that the Hispanics would screw the rest of the country in order to force Employers to bow down to the wishes of non English speaking people is wrong.
How did these people get the job? If the employer does not speak Spanish (or any other language) is he required to get an interpreter so he can communicate? Should we force the employer to learn a new language or should we force the person who wants the job to learn a new one? It seems like an easy choice to me but to Pelosi and her amigos in the Congress it is not as obvious. Someone should tell Gonzalez to take his sorry rear back across the Rio and run for office there since he is more concerned with that way of life than the American way.
I have lived in or visited several foreign countries and I made the effort to learn enough of the language to communicate my needs. I did not expect them to learn my language because that would not be appropriate. I would not expect them to hire me for a job there if I could not communicate with their customers. As for the issue of telling people they have to speak English to each other while on the job, the issue of free speech does not apply. An employer in private industry may tell employees what they are and are not allowed to discuss and in what language they must do it.
It is important to remember that the employer is the boss and may set job requirements including dress codes, uniforms, hair styles, body piercings, tattoos and LANGUAGE. The Congress has no business getting involved and they certainly do not belong holding up legislation in an effort to blackmail other members of Congress, especially legislation that is designed to keep people from paying taxes they were never meant to pay.
I wonder if Gonzalez would support me if I went to a Spanish speaking establishment (whose customers all spoke Spanish) and I was refused a job because I do not speak that language?
The Democrats have been an absolute failure as the majority and Nancy Pelosi is no leader at all. She cannot even whip a bunch of malcontents from the Hispanic group into shape. If she knew what she was doing this would not be an issue but then again…
If she knew what she was doing she would be a Republican.
I wonder what Ron Paul would do if he was running the place?

The Maryland Tax Rape Plan
Nov 19, 2007 Political
The legislature of Maryland wrapped up the Special Session called by Governor O’Malley and the result is going to be very painful to Maryland residents. For the past three weeks the legislature has been mulling over how to screw the citizens of this state out of their hard earned money and they finally succeeded at doing just that. When O’Malley was elected I predicted that he would raise our taxes and hurt us. I think he believes that Hillary will select him for a position in her administration and he will not have to worry about paying for what he did when the next election rolls around (in Maryland it will be 2010).
The special session was called to address a budget shortfall for a budget that does not yet exist. They then addressed gasoline taxes, which do not go into the general funds and cannot reduce any perceived deficit, then they increased health care assistance which adds to the budget which is contrary to why the session was convened. Additionally, a half billion dollars in cuts were recommended to the governor but he is free to dismiss the cuts which he likely will. The whole process was a sham in order to raise our taxes starting on 1 January despite the fact that the current budget is in place until July and I might add that it is balanced.
Marylanders received a 20% increase in the sales tax and the income taxes, which were a fair flat tax, were changed to a progressive tax so that wealthier people pay more of the share for government than other wage earners. Yep, the wealthy in the state will now pay more to government despite the fact that the wealthy use far fewer government services. This is Socialism 101 and Governor O’Malley is the Karl Marx of Maryland.
There are many wealthy liberals who are very upset that they will pay a higher percentage of taxes than much of the state and I am happy about that. The service industry will also take a big hit because taxes have been extended to a lot of things that were not taxed in the past. The people who provide these services are getting screwed as well and many of them will likely question why they voted for O’Malley in the first place. All I can say is I hope it hurts the people who voted for him so badly that they are eating cat food for dinner so they can afford to heat their homes. I am tired of the liberals in this state imposing their will upon the people and screwing us so it is time that they paid for their stupidity. I hope the cat food tastes good.
I know which of my elected ‘leaders’ voted to increase my taxes and I will actively work to defeat them during the next election. I will work to ensure that the citizens of this state do not forget who they were and what they did. I am hoping that this is the straw that finally broke the camel’s back and people will vote the Democrats out of office so that we can get true leadership in here.
There will no doubt be an exodus of people from this state. Some will sell their homes and move and others will just go to other states to shop. I will not purchase any big ticket item in Maryland and I will try to get my services from entities outside the state. and I know there will be many others who do the same. Those living close to Delaware or Virginia will go to those states for gas and other items in order to pay less in taxes. I imagine it will not be long before the tax Nazis from Annapolis are waiting at the borders to confiscate good purchased elsewhere.
The bills will be signed into law today and that will be the death of this state and, as is true of all bad times in Maryland, it will come on a Democrat’s watch.
Interestingly, the legislature decided to put a slot machine bill on the ballot for referendum which means the people will vote on it in 2008 and, if it passes, it will become part of the Constitution of the state. Only a moron would make this part of the Constitution because then any changes will require a change to the Constitution which means by referendum and vote of the people. Slots have been a big issue for five years and the Democrats have always voted them down because they are evil (actually they did not want the Republican governor to get credit for the income) and now they are pushing the issue farther down the road because they lack the leadership necessary to address the issue. If the people pass slots the revenue will not begin to flow for a few more years. It could have been flowing by now were it not for the obstructive Democrats. If the measure fails they will raise our taxes again because a lot of what they are spending is based upon projected revenue from slots and many items in the special session were tied to slots.
I would have preferred they put the tax question directly to the people. Of course, since nearly 80% of the citizens opposed raising taxes they were not going to let us vote on it. They do not trust us to make those decisions even though they work for us.
We need a recall election in Maryland to get rid of O’Malley and we need to vote every person who raised our taxes OUT OF OFFICE.
This Thursday is Thanksgiving. Today however, is Thankstaking, the day Maryland government will give thanks for what it will take from its citizens.

The Ron Paul Revolution
Nov 17, 2007 Political
I have to start off by saying that I like Ron Paul. I don’t know that I like him enough to vote for him for president yet but I like most of his positions. There is a Ron Paul Revolution that appears to be coming from the youth in America, those of college age who are most likely fed up with politics as usual in this country. The problem is, will there be enough of them to help him win? If the history of voting shows anything, it might not be an issue because the youth in America tend NOT to vote. That is why the mainstream politicians court the vote of the seasoned among us. The elderly vote in droves compared to the young however, Paul’s age might help him with the elderly vote. One other thing; is Paul the candidate that can beat any Democrat on the ticket?
Paul has great ideas about retuning this country to following the Constitution. His Congressional nickname is Dr. No because he votes no on any item that does not conform to the limits of the Constitution. As far as any of the candidates are concerned, his voting record is the only one that shows conformity to the Constitution.
Paul is for placing us back on the gold standard and for abolishing the IRS and he would repeal the income tax, all are not bad ideas. Placing us on the gold standard would not allow us just print money to handle inflation. Our country did well under the gold standard and it is time our money was backed by something of value. The backing of the words of politicians is not very strong. The tax system in this country is a sham and it allows government to take our money and redistribute it anywhere they so desire. Congress has shown that it does not know how to handle money and that it is fiscally irresponsible. The XVI Amendment, passed in 1913, is reported to have never been ratified by the required 3/4 of the states because Ohio was not “a state” due to an administrative error. Regardless of the arguments, the tax code has been in effect for nearly 100 years and the only way to do it right is to repeal it and start over.
The IRS is nothing more than the enforcement arm of the extortion racket the government runs. In the days of the mob, people were forced to join protection rackets. If they refused to pay some big guy named Bruno showed up and beat the hell out of them or their business mysteriously burned to the ground. The government extorts money from us and we cannot limit them when they do it. If they passed a law requiring everyone to pay 80% of income in taxes we could not stop it. If we refused to pay, the IRS (their Bruno) would come looking for us and make life miserable. Paul is on to something when he says that we should get rid of this stuff. I like his Constitutional approach. He is not like by the status quo because he says the things DC insiders do not like.
One thing that Ron Paul is adamant about is getting out of the UN. I agree 100% with him on that and believe that we should dissolve all treaties with regard to the UN and we should kick them out of our country. They are worthless and oppose us at every turn.
There are negatives though. Paul is in his 70s and that is a liability though he seems to be in good shape and is handling the rigor of a campaign well. It is still a concern though being young is not necessarily a guarantee one will not die while in office (JFK), it just means that they have a better chance.
There are also the fringe groups that support Paul. The Skinheads is probably the major one but I am sure there are others. I do not think for one minute that Ron Paul courts these people or that he agrees with their message but it is disconcerting that these kinds of folks would flock to his message. Regardless of how Paul feels, perception is reality to many people and many will perceive that he has their philosophies.
The other thing to think about is can Ron Paul beat any of the Democrats that are running? He certainly can garner votes from young people fed up with the system and he can garner votes from moderate conservatives who want the country run in accordance with the Constitution but there are a lot of liberals who are going to vote and they do not like this idea of limited government or repealing the income tax. Liberals are for big government and lots of tax money to spend on worthless programs. Since universal health care is not part of the Constitution, they will not like Paul’s positions because he would deny those things liberals believe to be entitlements.
While I agree with Paul on domestic issues, I am not in agreement with his foreign policy ideas. Regardless of what one believes about the war in Iraq, a complete withdrawal would result in disaster in Iraq as well as here at home. If we are perceived as weak then the radical Muslims will increase their attacks upon us. Clinton’s decisions not to attack them after they continually attacked us led to 9/11. Despite the rewritten history and the Berger stolen documents, it is undeniable that this is what happened. Bin Laden told us that he attacked us because of the weakness displayed by Clinton. If Ron Paul displays a similar weakness then we will be hit again.
If Ron Paul is unwilling to use our military then he should not be President. If, on the other hand, he has some idea as to how to use them to keep us from being attacked then I can listen to what he has to say. I realize that Paul believes we attacked illegally and that the money is being wasted and I know liberals would love to spend it on street corner abortion clinics or other such things. With regard to Paul, the money is worthless if we are attacked here at home and with regard to liberals, they will not get the money if Paul is President. However, if Paul agrees to withdraw all of the financial support we provide around the world and bring our troops home from all nations and put them on bases guarding our country from enemies (and ILLEGALS) then we might be on to something. This means ALL support but it also means that we would be abandoning our allies like Israel, unless Paul has some idea about a treaty with them to help protect them from the Muslim world. I doubt that would happen because Paul seems convinced that since we were able to stare down a Soviet Union with nukes that an Iran with nukes would pose little threat and should be of no concern. I am not sure that he understands that Ahmadinejad is not plating with a full deck and would launch on Israel. In that case I would have to throw back the Ron Paul supporter’s question; WWRPD?
I have not decided on a candidate as of yet. I am watching and listening to see who will do the best job for this country and who can beat the Democratic candidate. I will continue to watch Paul with the rest of them (I never discounted him like the media did) and will decide as we get closer to the election.
One thing is for sure, thoughtful comments and dialog will be beneficial to the process but Ron Paul spammers calling names does little to help the process.
Someone from the Revolution enlighten me and my readers.
