Hillary Finally Takes a Position
Nov 14, 2007 Immigration, Political
Hillary Clinton finally took a position on issuing driver’s licenses to ILLEGALS (she calls them undocumented) by declaring that she agrees with New York Governor Spitzer’s decision not to issue them. Hillary sort of supported his position when he was going to issue them, then said no, then say yes and left it at a maybe. Since Spitzer has finally decided the Hildabeast figured it was OK to take a stand. She also indicated that, as President, she will not issue driver’s licenses to ILLEGALS and that she will fix the immigration problem in America.
The President is not the person to fix these things. Congress is the body that is supposed to come up with bills that address these kinds of issues. After it is worked out it is sent to the President to be signed into law. The President can tell Congress how he wants things and they can work together but the biggest thing the President gets to do is sign it into law or veto it. Hillary Clinton will have little success with immigration if the Congress does not act. She had a better chance of doing something as part of the Senate and yet I can’t seem to find any bills she has authored to address the problem. The only thing she has done is criticize GOP efforts to toughen criminal laws regarding ILLEGALS and blame the Bush administration for a problem caused by Democrats long before he ever took office. In fact, Bush and Congress tried to ram amnesty down our throats and Hillary voted for that plan. She wants to give them licenses but not until she gives them amnesty. Hillary Clinton votes to help ILLEGALS.
I am sure this is not the last we have heard on this issue. If a poll comes out in a few weeks indicating that Hispanics are supporting another candidate and they cite this stance as the reason, Hillary will change faster than you can shake a stick.

Warren Buffet Should Heed Own Advice
Nov 14, 2007 General
Billionaire Warren Buffet said that he favors the estate tax and that it should be higher to tax the wealthy on the amount of their estates. The estate tax currently sits at 45% (and will increase to 55% without reform), which means that 45 out of every 100 dollars someone leave to an heir goes to the government. This is a tax on money that was already taxed at least once in the lifetime of the person and probably more than once, in all reality. The government taxes the money when it is earned, taxes any interest on investment and then gets nearly half of it when a person dies. This is why estate planners make a lot of money, to figure ways to pass wealth without paying taxes AGAIN.
Buffet though, does not live by this philosophy of taxing estates. He has ensured that his estate will be given away so that he avoids any taxes. His fortune is well over 40 billion dollars so his heirs would have to pay around 20 billion in taxes when he dies. This would help with the burden he says that the middle class bears but it is not what is good for him. He is giving a lot of his money to five foundations, most notably the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. There will be no taxes when he gives this so he avoided paying an estate tax. He has set up one billion dollar foundations for each of his children and they are to do philanthropic work with the money, no doubt after they draw hefty management fees from the foundations. This will avoid estate taxes and allow him to pass a great deal of money to his children.
Buffet is another do as I say liberal who thinks it is perfectly acceptable for the government to take money it did not earn from the pockets of people who received it from a loved one. He feels that it is OK so long as he (or technically, his estate) is not the one paying the taxes. Buffet cries about the plight of the middle class but he could make 1000 people millionaires for every billion dollars he has. If he is so concerned about people why does he not take 20 billion and make 20,000 people millionaires?
That would probably do more good than giving money to foundations that already have billions of dollars. But Buffet would rather see the wealthy taxed to death and since he has figured out how to avoid the estate tax he really does not care.
Of course, he assumes that other rich people are not as bright as he and therefore cannot avoid paying estate taxes.
Tax schemes created by the government lead people to think of creative ways to avoid paying those very taxes and the richer people are, the more creative they become. Besides, if Buffet is really concerned about the government, he can donate money to the treasury and they will be happy to take it.
I wonder why, if he really cares, he didn’t send his money there instead?

The Unreported Crime of Illegal Immigration
Nov 14, 2007 Immigration
The City of San Francisco has decided to give ID cards to residents including those who are here ILLEGALLY. On Tuesday the Board of Supervisors voted to issue municipal ID cards to residents regardless of their immigration status. As with all these feel good ILLEGAL immigrant pandering schemes, the basis is public safety (reporting crimes). According to the people who are in favor of this it will bring the ILLEGALS out of the shadows and they will not be afraid to report crime. Ignoring the idea that ILLEGALS commit crimes that they will probably not report, why does anyone think this will help and why do they care if crime is reported?
“People are afraid to report crimes,” Ammiano said, referring to illegal immigrants who avoid local law enforcement authorities over fear of being arrested or deported by federal immigration officials. SF Gate
Places that pander to ILLEGALS have no regard for the law. They are perfectly willing to issue ID cards and driver’s licenses to ILLEGALS to bring them out of the shadows and make them unafraid to report crime and yet these same officials ignore the crime that the ILLEGALS committed to get here. Why are they so interested in ILLEGALS reporting criminal acts when they are reluctant to act upon the ILLEGAL act of entering this country in violation of the law?
What these officials are saying to ILLEGALS is; “we will ignore the crimes you have committed if you report the crimes others have committed.” The other thing to consider is, if these officials are so worried about crimes being reported why do they refuse to allow city workers to report ILLEGALS to immigration officers? Why do they do everything they possibly can to shield ILLEGALS from the law but assist them in reporting others who have broken the law?
This is a stupid idea. Certain types of identification cards are used for all kinds of access. Driver’s licenses are used to board aircraft, to gain access to certain buildings and to register to vote. Registering to vote when one is not eligible to vote is a crime! The politicians seem to have a mindset of selective law enforcement doing everything they can to shield ILLEGALS from the law while using them to report other crimes.
Imagine the irony of an ILLEGAL reporting some crime committed by a citizen. That citizen will have to face the legal system while a person who is not here legally reported him. This ILLEGAL will not have to answer for his crimes and can continue living here ILLEGALLY while sucking the resources out of the American taxpayer.
I say that if they want people to report crime then have citizens report people who are here ILLEGALLY. Along with the report comes the responsibility of government to act upon the information. Until they start doing that, how can anyone take them seriously?

The Hillary Attack Machine
Nov 13, 2007 Political
I wrote a post about the fear the Clintons have struck in the media. Most places are afraid of saying anything negative or writing one word that might be offensive. I certainly do not have that fear but that is a different story. It looks like the attack machine is in full swing preparing for the next debate which will be moderated by Wolf Blitzer. Drudge has a developing story that indicates the campaign has warned Blitzer not to make the debate about Hillary:
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer has been warned not to focus Thursday’s Dem debate on Hillary. ‘This campaign is about issues, not on who we can bring down and destroy,’ top Clinton insider explains. ‘Blitzer should not go down to the levels of character attack and pull ‘a Russert.” Blitzer is set to moderate debate from Vegas, with questions also being posed by Suzanne Malveaux… Blitzer says he is not being pressured by any campaign: ‘No one has pressured me. No one has threatened me. No one is trying to intimidate me’… Drudge
Blitzer is saying that no one tried to intimidate him but the words from the campaign tell a different story. If I were the moderator the first question I would ask is if she thinks it is appropriate for a campaign to threaten debate moderators.
She will be out for blood in this next debate but the guys who are chasing her have closed the gap significantly (3 points separate all three of them according to a new poll that will be released) and they will be looking to jump on her for recent planted questions and other gaffes. I might actually watch this one just to see if she gets a smack down.

Why is the Media Good to Hillary?
Nov 13, 2007 Political
When a politician is named Clinton he can usually be assured of good press, or no press at all if there is something bad going on. The same press that can’t wait to run to press with our nation’s secrets is much more respecting of the wishes of the Clintons. The press does not want to do anything that will upset the darling couple. The MSM sat on the Monica/Bill story and only released it after Drudge had made it public. I believe that the liberals in the MSM will do anything to get the Clintons elected but I also now think they are afraid of Hillary. She does not like them and has treated them badly in the past. Additionally, she has alienated them since about 1993 but they do not seem to go after her and the reason boils down to one word; FEAR.
Members of the media are afraid of Hillary and her mean spirited ways. They are afraid of being left out, should her majesty be elected. Hillary was able to stop a recent GQ article by threatening an unrelated article that dealt with Bill. It is easy, play ball the way the Clintons want or you do not get to play.
If grumbling about a basketball story seems excessive, it’s also typical of the Clinton media machine. Reporters who have covered the hyper-vigilant campaign say that no detail or editorial spin is too minor to draw a rebuke. Even seasoned political journalists describe reporting on Hillary as a torturous experience. Though few dare offer specifics for the record–“They’re too smart,” one furtively confides. “They’ll figure out who I am”–privately, they recount excruciating battles to secure basic facts. Innocent queries are met with deep suspicion. Only surgically precise questioning yields relevant answers. Hillary’s aides don’t hesitate to use access as a blunt instrument, as when they killed off a negative GQ story on the campaign by threatening to stop cooperating with a separate Bill Clinton story the magazine had in the works. Reporters’ jabs and errors are long remembered, and no hour is too odd for an angry phone call. Clinton aides are especially swift to bypass reporters and complain to top editors. “They’re frightening!” says one reporter who has covered Clinton. “They don’t see [reporting] as a healthy part of the process. They view this as a ruthless kill-or-be-killed game.” The New Republic
The Clinton camp does not view it as healthy and Hillary has a disdain for the media after the way they treated her husband in 1992. Evidently, Hillary took exception to the fact that her husband was treated just like any other skirt chasing, sex abusing rapist. It is obvious that the media is lacking in the tenacity required to go after someone like the Hildabeast. it is just amazing to me that a person like Hillary could inspire fear in anyone especially reporters. In the real world it is the politicians who should be afraid of the media but the MSM of today has sat back and had Obama and Edwards do the attacking for them. I am certain that if Obama or Edwards had broken campaign laws and it was caught on tape they would have been attacked relentlessly in order to prop up the Hill. If it were a Republican they would be calling for a head on a platter.
Do we want a person as president who has so much control over the media? The Clintons got away with quite a bit of crime the last time they were in the WH. Imagine what they could do with the media covering for them even more than it did back then.
Say no to Satan.
