Bill Clinton Wants To Go To Copenhagen
by Big Dog on Dec 5, 2009 at 05:29 Satire
A lot of people are going to Copenhagen for the Climate Summit where they can discuss how to impose massive amounts of taxes on countries (read taxpayers) in order to force rich countries to pay for what now has turned out to be an unsettled issue.
The prostitution industry thrives there and Copenhagen Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard sent postcards to the hotels telling guests not to visit the brothels. It seems she does not want this trade, that is legal there, to continue.
The prostitutes are fighting back. They will give free sex to anyone who arrives at a brothel with one of the postcards.
Bill Clinton has now asked to go to the Summit. Word has it that he is collecting as many of the postcards as he can get his hands on.
He promised to split them with Hillary.
Barack Obama cut back his schedule for Copenhagen and when asked about the free sex he replied; “I don’t need any more sex. I get to screw America everyday and I get paid to do it.”

Ha ha ha! That is hole-hair-ious!
Split the cards with Hill-up-Dummy Rod-Ham!
Adam! You-who! Adam! Get your Copenhagen ticket while they are still cheap! Every Democrat and his dog…I mean wife…will be “snatchin”” those tit-kits fast!
“…for what now has turned out to be an unsettled issue.”
I love how you pretend it was once considered settled until these emails came out despite the fact that you have always believed it to be unsettled. If only it were true that there was anything in those e-mails to cast doubt on the reality of climate change.
I have always said that the science is unsettled. I am pointing out that it now is unsettled for those who could not see it.
The emails and other data show plenty of data manipulation. They show that data were manipulated to fit the science. This is not how things should be done.
You can’t take 150 or 200 years and show anything. The data must go much farther back. Besides that, these guys had a vested interest in making things give a desired outcome.
To me, that means it is not settled and the whole thing is now falling apart.
Everything you’re saying in this comment is debunked on multiple occasions such as here since the “climategate” came up.
You can pretend that you were right all along but you are left with as little evidence to prove your point this month as you were two months ago.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the
rational mind is a faithful servant. We have
created a society that honors the servant and has
forgotten the gift.
– Albert Einstein
In the case of gloabal warming, to believe it is a primarily man-made problem, one must ignore both the sacred and the rational and rely on faith, as Ann Coulter defines Faith, in her great book, “Godless.”
Adam, I admire your faith, even misguided, you are a man of God, as liberals define it.
INON: “In the case of gloabal warming, to believe it is a primarily man-made problem, one must…”
DAR
Set aside ideological nonsense and make themselves aware of the science.
Notice the weasel words “primarily.”
Seems even inonit is coming to accept that our actions have had some influence on earth’s climate. That’s pretty obvious, and a good first step.
Albert Einstein, a good atheist fellow who would have certainly followed the science on this matter. When he suggests using the “intuitive mind” he obviously isn’t saying throw out solid science and use your imagination instead, as you seem to suggest.

“Scientific research is based on the idea that everything that takes place is determined by laws of nature, and therefore this holds for the action of people. For this reason, a research scientist will hardly be inclined to believe that events could be influenced by a prayer, i.e. by a wish addressed to a Supernatural Being.”

But on a less argumentative yet related note, it looks like our first little bit of winter weather today. How about you?
Not so bad. Still enjoying the global warming trend, here!
We got some snow but it was just enough to stick to the grass. Made for a soggy day. It was a chili for dinner day.
I tried to get out and do some jogging but I was chased back inside by some pretty harsh wind.
It was ugly for a while
Adam, the science is not settled. But if you want to keep making that claim based on science that has been manipulated go ahead but I want to play the same game with you.
When Clinton was president he and his wife tried to push universal health care and the country opposed it and it went down in flames. More than 50% oppose it now so the issue is a settled one, Americans do not want this. It is settled, it does not matter that a few outliers like you want it, the issue is settled and it should not be debated.
I know this much, we should not spend billions or trillions on this issue when the affect on temperature will be negligible if there is any affect at all and anyone who thinks that spending all this money on the issue is a moron who thinks money grows on trees.
But if you feel compelled to do something send me $500 and I will plant a tree for you.
Obama is flying back and forth to Copenhagen and there are a lot of private jets going there. Until the people who want this learn to practice what they preach and until their followers call them on the carpet for it, you all can shut the hell up about it. I will not be dictated to by people like Gore who use 20 times the average family. I will not pay more money to make people like this rich.
And I will continue to drive my SUV and run my lawnmower. Whoever does not like it can KMA.
Funny thing. People criticize SUVs and then when we have a bad snowstorm they call us SUV owners up and ask for a ride. The state will talk bad about the SUV and how everyone needs a fuel efficient car blah blah but when the snow is bad the state asks for volunteers with SUVs to take doctors, nurses and other mission essential people to work.
I say if you oppose SUVs then you should walk.
It is sort of like Christmas. If you oppose someone mentioning Christmas then you should have to work that day.
Your comparison might have worked if decades of scientific data related to climate change was equivalent to a few months of polling data on a political issue. Keep trying though, I can see you’re struggling.
How do you know since they destroyed that data?
Also, while not have info for thousands of years. Focused beams do not tell large stories.
You are struggling to understand why your heart keeps telling you to believe something that your brain should know is untrue.
Why don’t you believe me when I say climate change is real? I’m a computer scientist and I know how you conservatives love to get the opinion of any old scientist when it comes to global warming…
A computer scientist? Do you tell the monitor to turn to the left and cough? Please- do us all a favor and just admit that these scientists were LYING- because that is the plain truth here- and destroying the data is not the act of someone who wants “transparency”(God I hate that word), but the desperate acts of people who know they are about to be found out for the fakers they truly are.
Change is what climate does ON ITS OWN- humans do not necessarily affect climate as badly as these people would have us believe.
Do humans do things to the environment that should cease? Hell yes- but not in such a way as these people would have you believe.
Water pollution is the worst problem we have, and one that is being totally ignored in this debate- the air can wait, while we do incremental fixes on that, but the water CANNOT wait, what with all the phosphates and nitrites we put into our runoff with ordinary fertilizers on our lawns, and the depletion of our aquifers.
No, if we truly want to do something substantial NOW, we should back off of the Co2 fiasco, and concentrate on fixing our water supplies.
Bigd:”Americans do not want this.”
DAR
Americans overwhelmingly want health care reform. To the extent they may not want what is being proposed now, it is largely attributed to the blatant lies and misinformation campaign being put forward by misinformed ideological political hacks, like yourself.
Bigd: “Obama is flying back and forth to Copenhagen”>>

This is Bigd pretending that Obama is being a hypocrite if he doesn’t travel by bicycle or row boat when he works to address climate change. Absurd + stupid.
Bigd: “I will not be dictated to by people like Gore who use 20 times the average family.”>>

Again with the lies. Unlike you or “the average family” Al Gore’s carbon foot print is ZERO. He lives in an award winning energy efficient home and…
“In his private life, Gore tries to reduce his emissions as much as possible. He drives a hybrid, flies commercially whenever he can, and purchases green power. In the few instances where work has demanded that he travel privately, he purchases carbon offsets for the emissions.”
–Spokesperson responding to a smear campaign by Hannity in ’07

We’ll see how much you really need your SUV when gas is $5 a gallon. I bet you’ll come to find that a front wheel drive hybrid gets you to church on time just fine. Even if the higher cost of gas doesn’t wake you up to this reality, it will for enough other people that we will find these gas hogs become a scarce commodity (plus the huge tax subsidy is now gone). If you find you do need a Hummer, you can always order one from China.
D.
Oh please, D- do you have Al Gore brand kneepads? Such lies- but what does one expect from someone who has no moral compass?
Darrel, don’t pretend to know what Einstein would have followed. He might have been laughing at the faux science.
Scientific research is based on the idea that everything that takes place is determined by laws of nature, and therefore this holds for the action of people. For this reason, a research scientist will hardly be inclined to believe that events could be influenced by a prayer, i.e. by a wish addressed to a Supernatural Being.”
It should read “everything determined by the laws of nature or the manipulated data to get the results desired.”
Would not be inclined to believe that events would be influenced by a prayer.
I wonder how many of them said prayers before big exams in college.
I wonder how many are now praying that they don’t lose their jobs, their grant money, and their reputations though it is a little too late for that.
The unsettled science of man made global warming is a scam to make people rich. But if all the people who stand to make money will donate 100% of any they make on the issue to alternative energy (not invest, donate) and if they will start living like they want us to live then maybe they will have some credibility.
If cap and tax is ever imposed then we should start hunting down politicians who are using too much energy (we pay for it) and hang them and we should find people like Gore who wastes more than a lot of people and beat him senseless and seize his property.
I have a degree in science as well but it is medicine. However, there are plenty of scientists who disagree. What I say is that it is not settled.
And the recent events show that.
Darrel, all lies about Gore. You lick his boots too I see.
Zero my a$$. But I planted a few trees.
Gore rides in big SUVs and has caravans. Her also flies in private planes and if, and it is a small if, his house is what you say it has just been made that way after his hypocrisy was exposed.
People want reform and not this because it is BAD. There are better, less costly options.
And some of your Democrats express the same objections as I so they must be hacks as well.
Darrel, you can play mightier than though but you are a hack who shills for the libs.
You are no freethinker, you are a partisan hack.
Bigd: all lies about Gore.>>

Talk is cheap. I back up my claims as usual, with citation. You just throw insults.

When necessary, and he buys offsets which consume precisely the equivalent amount of carbon he uses. Your criticisms, as usual, fail.

I’ve already posted documentation of this. Let me know if you would like to see it again.
Bigd: it has just been made that way after his hypocrisy was exposed.>>

You’ve shown you’re an angry person who can really hate people, but you have shown no hypocrisy. Is it really so hard to believe that someone like Al Gore, who has shown a life long interest in such matters, would consistently care about the environment? No, not so hard to believe at all. If you’ve anything besides the same old tired poo to throw, let’s see it. I’ve made this challenge many times, you’ve got nothing.
Bigd: People want reform and not this because it is BAD.>>
DAR
Yes, let’s just keep spending 18x times as much as France for the same medical procedure. This problem should have been dealt with years ago. Canada fixed this in 1966.
Bigd: And some of your Democrats express the same objections as I>>
DAR
You’re right about that. And they are the political whores who have been paid off by the trillion dollar greed machine that lives off the public teat. At least they have a rational reason for selling out. You’re just a ideologue who actually believes this nonsense for free.
Bigd: “You are no freethinker”>>
DAR
Again, for the 14th time, freethought specifically refers to religious metaphysical claims and has nothing whatsoever to do with politics. Nothing. No thing. Do they have a medication for your learning disorder?

free-think-er n.
A person who forms opinions about religion on the basis of reason, independently of tradition, authority, or established belief.
— Webster’s New World Dictionary
Atheists are what “free thunkers” are- a person who thinks, by virtue of his having no moral absolutes, wrongly believes him or herself to be “free” of restrictions on thought- when in reality, they are prisoners of their own particularly poisonous brand of dogma.
Blk: “having no moral absolutes”>>
DAR
You have moral absolutes? Great. Can I have one too? How come you can never give me a single example of one of these babies when I ask? Still waiting…
D.
I have no learning disability. Your religion is the religion of the messiah Obama and the liberal policies he espouses. You give it no free thought, you just get pulled around by the nose.
This whole citation carp. It is worthless because no matter what people post you make some excuse as to why it is not correct. Gore buys offsets, big deal. Because he is wealthy he can buy offsets to live the lifestyle he wants.
People plant trees so leave them alone and let them drive what they want and use the light bulbs they want.

Dealt with this one years ago. The debunk:
***
Hoover Institute and the art of slander
You know you’re winning the PR battle when your adversary switches from attacking the message to attacking the messenger. Here’s an example that also includes the common spin tactic of cherypicking: removing information from its context in an attempt to mislead.
In a recent USA Today opinion piece, Peter Schweizer, (a “Senior Fellow” at the oil money-laden Hoover Institute) tries to undermine Al Gore’s efforts to enhance public education on climate change. Specifically, Schweizer attacks Gore’s personal commitment to the reduction of green house gas – fair game as long as the accusation is accurate.
But Gore staff members criticize Schweizer’s claims as either misleading or outright falsehoods.
For example:
Claim: Schweizer claims that Gore receives royalties from a zinc mine on his property.
Fact: Gore receives no royalties from the mine, which shut down in 2003. Like many owners of small farms in Smith County, Tennessee, the Gores received royalties on their mineral rights when the mine operated. (A correction ran in USA Today on page 10A, as did a letter to the editor from Gore’s Communication Director)
—-
CLAIM: Schweizer says that Gore controls stock in Occidental Petroleum.
FACT: Gore has never owned or personally controlled stock in Occidental. His late father, Albert Gore Sr., worked at Occidental and the stock he owned at the time of his death was sold in the 1990s. Gore’s mother also owned stock at the time of her death and it, too, was sold by the trustee of her estate.
—-
CLAIM: Schweizer attacks Gore for not using green energy alternatives at his home.
FACT: The Gores have signed up for every “green power” option their utilities make available and are in the process of adding photovoltaic panels to their home.
—-
CLAIM: Schweizer says that Gore does not offset his carbon emissions because Paramount Classics pays for the offsets.
FACT: The Gore’s personal carbon offsets are achieved independently of and in addition to the carbon-neutral leadership shown by Paramount Classics, Participant Productions and Rodale.
LINK.
Four claims, roasted. Did they miss anything? I don’t think so.
