Donald Trump Should Not Run For The Presidency
Nov 9, 2022 2022 Election, Opinion
I was hoping to be invited to play golf at one of Trump’s resorts, but I think this will put an end to that.
I was, and to some extent, still am a Trump supporter. I think his first term in office was effective and good for America. We had record employment, low inflation and a stock market that was humming right along. Despite 4 years of constant torture by the left (and some on the right) Trump managed to stay effective. I know in my heart he won the election in 2020 and that it was stolen from him in a grand act of treason by the left and some on the right. The swamp needed him out. Trump, unlike Biden, could not be manipulated by the people who really call the shots.
But there were then and are now things about Trump that drive me nuts. His ego and his mouth constantly get in the way. He is like the child who will do or say anything to be noticed by others. Look, here I am see me!!! He is a counterpuncher and I like that. I like that he will fight back but he does not know when to keep his mouth shut. His biggest issue in that regard is that he must always be the center of attention. He must be the one all others look to. No matter what, his actions are designed to keep him in the spotlight.
That might seem great to some, but it is detrimental to the team. Two things from the past week lay that out quite clearly.
At an event Trump called the Florida Governor Ron Desanctimonious. Trump likes to give people little nicknames. Most are degrading (though accurate like Crooked Hillary) but DeSantis is an ally. He is the younger wing of the party that is every much a counter puncher as Trump but without the mouth, the ego and the baggage.
Trying to be cute and call DeSantis a name in an effort to diminish his status got some chuckles but it did not play well with the base. DeSantis is genuinely liked and when Trump violated Parkinson’s 11th Commandment, popularized by Ronald Reagan, “Thou salt not speak ill of any fellow Republican”, many felt it was inappropriate. This has been a problem with Trump for a very long time. He simply does not know how to keep his mouth shut.
Case in point. It has long been speculated, and Trump has hinted, that he will run for the presidency again. That appeals to the base of avid Trump followers, but it scares many on the outer edges of the party. While Trump works hard, there is no doubt about that, and could outwork many people half his age (and could outwork Biden on Trump’s worst day), he is in his 70s. He is an old man, a hard-working old man, but old none the less. Many younger folks want new blood in the races and many older folks are not ready for a return to the chaos that Trump creates.
I often wonder if his business empire is full of this amount of chaos.
The second thing Trump did that demonstrated a lack of restraint is announcing, on the eve of what was anticipated to be a wave election, that he had a very big announcement to make and that he would make it a week from election day (look here I am, see me). Speculation had been that he would announce his intention to run for the presidency on election eve, but he teased everyone with the very big announcement nonsense.
What was supposed to be a wave election focused on all of our candidates turned into a spotlight back on Trump and the belief that he just announced without actually saying it. Once again, he opened his mouth and sucked the air out of the room. He made it all about him. He could have waited until the day after the election. He could have waited until next week, but he lacked the discipline to keep his mouth shut for the good of the nation. How many people were terrified that if they put more Republicans in office Trump would see it as approval of his intention to run again? How many people decided not to vote after he opened his mouth in hope of reining him in and avoiding a future return to chaos? Maybe Dr. Oz underperformed in PA districts that Trump carried because people were not willing to vote after Trump’s announcement. We will never really know but Trump should have remained silent and let the election play out.
Trump is worried about others announcing they will run in 2024. Trump has stated that if anyone runs against him it will be seen as disloyalty. Sorry Sir, the presidency does not belong to you and no one owes you allegiance. They, just like you, are free to run and in fact, many will run but they had the discipline to keep it to themselves. Trump is worried that Ron DeSantis is gaining a lot of steam in the party and will be the preferred candidate for 2024. DeSantis is young, a heavy hitting counter puncher, a conservative and a man who has the discipline required to lead. He knows when to speak and more importantly, he knows when NOT to speak.
So, after Trump insulted Governor DeSantis and after his non announcement, announcement what happened? The people of Florida promptly gave DeSantis a landslide election in Florida and that was in most seats up and down the state. They made it clear he was the future of the Republican Party. They made it clear that of the two heavy hitters in Florida, DeSantis is the one they want leading them. DeSantis led Florida through the Covid nonsense, and he showed true leadership during Hurricane Ian and he did it without the chaos and drama that seems to be inherent in Donald Trump’s character. The state is markedly improved because of DeSantis’ leadership. Floridians respect that and they rewarded that.
I like Donald Trump, but I now think his time has come and gone. He should come out next Tuesday and say he has decided to semi retire and let his kids run the business while he enjoys his remaining years playing golf at his golf courses. He should also make it clear he is passing the torch to Ron DeSantis.
On Tuesday the wave never came, some Republicans lost their seats, and the Senate is in peril. The people Trump endorsed for national office floundered and only a few made it across the finish line. What did Trump do the day after an embarrassing election? He made it about himself once again by touting how well his endorsements did. Trump said it was a great midterm because he was 174-9 in endorsements. I think he might be embellishing but the reality is it was not a great midterm when the Republican Party that he is the de facto leader of failed to pick up very many seats against a senile president with economic woes and tons of other issues that should have made wins easy. Once again Trump had to make it about him.
The big winner in all this is not Donald Trump and it is not the Republican Party. It is certainly not the American people. No, the big winner is Joe Biden. That man is a demented doddering old fool who was in a position to suffer an embarrassing loss. He did not and he might actually suffer fewer losses than Trump did in his first midterm. Trump lost 40 seats. Biden will probably not lose that many (though I firmly believe cheating helped out in this regard).
While Trump celebrates a Pyrrhic victory, Joe Biden is taking a victory lap.

All States Should Run Elections Like Florida
Nov 9, 2022 2022 Election, Opinion, Tyranny
If I were in charge, we would have things like they were a long time ago. There would be an Election DAY. There would be no election weeks or months, just Election DAY. The only people who could receive an absentee ballot would be the people who are not present to vote on election day (military out of state, persons on vacation or travel) or who have a condition that prevents them from going to vote (in nursing home, in hospital, home bound due to illness). My idea for an absentee ballot would require you to go to a polling place if you are able to leave your house for any other reason such as to shop, go out to eat or for entertainment. Certainly, if you can do that you can go vote. I would also require paper ballots with absolutely no use of electronic voting machines.
But absent some seismic event such as federal election GUIDELINES or an amendment to the Constitution, we are certainly stuck with early voting and absentee ballots**, both of which (particularly mail in ballots) are easily used for cheating.
If your state is unable to count all your votes by the next morning, then there is cheating going on. While it certainly happens that some races are too close or turn out has increased such that it takes longer, there is no reason that all ballots cannot be counted by the next morning. The idea that mail in ballots take up to a week is a self-inflicted wound. Without widespread use of these tools of deception and cheating the count would go more quickly. The only reason it takes so long is because shenanigans take place. Pennsylvania takes forever to count (and has a history of election cheating) No, being a hugely populated state like Pennsylvania is, is not an excuse.
Florida has 9 million more people in it than Pennsylvania does, and Florida managed to count MILLIONS of ballots and have results before 10 pm on election night. Some races took a little longer, but the counting went quickly. As of this writing the total counts for Florida are well over 85% of the vote and only one Congressional District race has not been called. Pennsylvania will take days to have some results and it did not recently suffer a catastrophic hurricane like Florida did. Hell, PA is quick when it looks like Democrats are winning (or they cheated sufficiently) but takes days when Republicans are ahead.
There is no doubt the election system in our country is broken. The responsibility for running elections belongs to the state legislatures but the part of the Constitution that states that, Article I section 4, also states that Congress may alter such regulations.
“The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.” ~ US Constitution, Art I Sec 4.
The choosing (chusing in original text) of Senators is done by popular vote now instead of selection by state legislatures as Article I Section 3 prescribed. Changing that was a huge mistake.
So while it would be great to have states run elections like Florida (they learned from the hanging chad days) the reality is most states do their own thing and criminal activity is baked into the process. There is a lot of cheating in elections. It exists because it works (Biden is in the White House) and because there are little to no consequences for those who get caught cheating.
We need the federal government to write a basic guideline describing the minimum standards for elections. They are allowed to, by law, make new or alter eisting regulations. A federal standard for elections is long overdue.
We should have an election day. If there is a worry about people getting off work or not being able to make it then I propose the first weekend in November be designated election weekend. You can vote on Saturday or Sunday. The standard workweek in America is Monday through Friday so most people should be off. Anyone working both of those days and whose shift covers the entire 13 (or so) hours each day that the polls are open can get an absentee ballot. Voting is not just a right (now) it is a civic duty. If it means that much to you then voting on “your” weekend should be ok. Hell, most people early vote on the weekends before elections anyway. Maybe we make it 24 hours from Saturday through to Sunday so people can vote at any time removing the worry about having to work. This is something the guidelines can spell out.
All ballots should be paper ballots that come in a packet that has a bar code or QR code (or other security device) that must be scanned to activate the ballots in the packet (like they do for scratch off lottery tickets). When more ballots are needed a new packet is activated (by the poll supervisor and only that person) by scanning and then can be used. Any ballot that comes from a packet that has not been activated will not scan (a warning will show on the scanner screen) and it will be instantly obvious that something is wrong. This will keep people from producing fake ballots (or stealing ballots) and introducing them into the election like was done in 2020.
People absolutely MUST have ID to vote. I do not want to hear any crying about how unfair it is to minorities. That is a racist construct by people who want to cheat. Minorities are just as smart as everyone else and they can figure out how to get an ID. In fact, nearly everyone has an ID. You cannot do much of anything these days without an ID. The government that tells you ID is racist is the same government that requires you to have a Real ID (that is very burdensome). If that ID is good enough to verify identitiy then it is good enough to use to vote. Anyone who does not drive can get a non driver ID card at no cost.
An ID is required to buy alcohol, buy tobacco, open a bank account, apply for government social services, apply for Social Security or Medicare, apply for unemployment or for a job, rent or buy a house or apply for a mortgage, drive, buy or rent a car, get on an airplane, get married, purchase a firearm, adopt a pet, rent a hotel room, apply for a hunting or fishing license, buy a cell phone, visit a casino, pick up a prescription, hold a rally or protest, donate blood, and purchase certain cold medications.
Certainly, nearly everyone does at least one of these things so nearly everyone has an ID. If we have to show an ID to do all the things listed (and that is not a complete list) then we should have to show ID to vote. If anyone is against showing an ID to vote, then they are in favor of cheating. Anyone in government who is opposed, fosters and encourages an environment of cheating.
There needs to be stiff penalties for cheating in an election. It must be a federal felony and the punishment must be, loss of right to vote, prohibition on working for campaigns or at the polls, and a 5 year minimum sentence in federal prison. The left is up in arms about J6 and the alleged insurrection. People have been in jail for over 2 years without a trial and without bond. They are political prisoners. Surely the same can be done to those who attempt to manipulate the election process for political gain. They are more dangerous than the J6 people…
It will likely never happen and I imagine, much to my dismay, that we will be engaged in another Civil War before we ever get these things fixed. Our nation is divided, and it is so because politicians of all stripes refuse to uphold the Constitution and they have used tax dollars to create a dependent/victim class that is always aggrieved and looking for more things to which they are entitled. Politicians violate our Constitution and the tyrants in black robes allow them to do it.
Until we either fix the system or have the next revolutionary act we should follow the model that Florida has provided. It is not perfect, but it is better than anything else out there.
(**) Maryland adopted the widespread use of absentee ballots and changed the law to rename them Mail-In Ballots. This language is required by election officials. They should have called them what they really are, election fraud documents.
Coming up: Donald Trump should not run for the presidency again.

They Told You They Were Going to Cheat
Nov 9, 2022 2022 Election, Opinion
Flashback 2020:
Poll after poll showed Donald Trump would cruse to reelection. The left needed a better cheating plan than the one used for Hillary (they thought she was going to win). They had the plan and Trump “lost”.
Present Day 2022:
In this election the polls showed a red wave and possibly a red tsunami. There was no doubt the Republicans would take the House by big numbers and that they might take the Senate. But funny things happened on the way to the election. Biden told us that he thought they would be OK. Turns out he might have known something like in 2020 when he told us they put together the biggest election fraud machine in history…
Joe Biden will call me an election denier. The same guy who ignores the election deniers in his own party (Abrams, Clinton, etc.) would be the first to attack me for what I am about to write. I do not care, of course, because Biden is demented. He is not of sound mind. The toughest choice he makes each day is what flavor Jello to eat.
As an aside, he and John Fetterman are brain damaged, and I do not blame them for their afflictions. They are not stupid, just sick. The people who vote for them are stupid.
I am not an election denier. I merely challenge the narrative that we have free and fair elections. Hell, the elections are always rigged or interfered with if a Republican wins and are free and fair when a Democrat wins. I do not look at it that way. There is cheating in every election and now they are getting more brazen about it.
It requires a willful suspension of disbelief to accept that Biden received 81 million votes. That means he did better than the first black guy (Obama) and the first woman (Clinton) who ran for that office. This requires you to believe that despite winning the bellwether states and 19 or 20 bellwether counties and increasing his previous vote totals by millions of votes, Donald Trump lost to a guy who campaigned from his basement and could not draw a double-digit crowd. Anyone who thinks Biden legitimately won is a special kind of stupid.
In 2020 we were told that the numbers we saw were a red mirage. They told us that the Republican votes showed up first, it appeared as a huge lead and then the mail in ballots (many of which violated their own state election laws) were counted and bingo, the blue overwhelmed the red. This is how they explained the five battleground states that “stopped” counting around midnight (nearly all at the same time) and then boom, at 4 in the morning they all “reopen” and Biden is in the lead.
This election a red wave was expected. I was cautiously optimistic, and my wife was completely skeptical. She said the Democrats cheat and they will in this election. She appears to have been correct.
The red mirage game was played again. Fetterman, a man who will probably die of a second stroke** in a year or so, said that the red would appear as a huge wave and then the mail in ballots would swallow that up and the mirage would disappear. Only Pennsylvania counted the absentee ballots first. Many of the previously suspect states that claimed the mail in ballots were counted last in 2020 counted them first in 2022. This was by design. These states know they are being watched closely so they had to devise a way to know how many ballots they needed. By counting those first they could easily slip some in during the same day vote count. This certainly explains why Fetterman outperformed in traditionally red areas. He needed to in order to beat Oz (I am no fan of Oz but his brain works).
There is no way anyone can convince me that traditionally red areas with strong records of voting for Republicans suddenly decided (in a year where the inflation, the economy and the country are in the dump) that a man whose stroke has left him unable to understand what is said to him and who cannot speak coherently was the guy they wanted to vote for. Of course, early voting allowed him to get votes before people could see how damaged he was. But Trump endorsed Oz and Oz did not perform as well as Trump in many red areas of the state. That defies logic particularly given the defective opponent Oz faced.
The Democrats cheated again but this time they spread it out. Couple this with the duplicate ballots and other issues with the ones mailed to people who are not eligible to vote, and the fix was in.
I certainly hope that they cheated and that the people of PA are not as stupid as they appear to be by electing a man who is obviously medically unfit for office.
Polls usually get the Republican vote wrong (underestimate) because Republicans, by and large, do not answer polls. The polling that was done showed Republicans set to take three seats in the Senate with an outside shot at a few more. If Republicans are undercounted, then they should have performed better than the polls projected. Fetterman was cheated to victory for a pickup for the Democrats. Then it was on to Nevada and Arizona. Right now, it looks like Nevada will go red and even out the Fetterman pick up. In Arizona the state miraculously had voting machine issues on election day, the very day when most Republicans vote. People were told to go to other polling locations and then when they got there, they were told they had already checked in to vote (because they checked in where the machines had “malfunctioned”). How many votes were lost so that Mark Kelly can hold on to a seat that polls showed he could very well lose? As of this writing there are plenty of votes to count so it is far from over, but it looks good for him, and the malfunction certainly helped him out. Keri Lake might lose because of this as well. She was up double digits in the polls…
Democrats (with assistance from Lisa Murkowski) enacted ranked choice voting in Alaska. That system is designed to favor certain people and it helped Murkowski make it through the primaries. She might end up losing but the process has a chance of hurting Sarah Palin’s chance to win Alaska’s only House seat. The traditionally red state went blue in the special election because of ranked choice and Palin might lose again because of it.
Georgia conveniently failed to send about 1000 absentee ballots to those who requested them. Those folks are suing to get their ballots, be allowed to vote and have the deadline for their ballots to be in extended to the 14th. How convenient that such an action will allow the Democrats to see how many votes they need to keep from having a runoff in the Senate race. Then they have until the 14th to manufacture what they need (how will they be able to tell which ones coming in were from the disenfranchised 1000).
(**) Fetterman has a bad heart, and he threw a blood clot that caused his stroke. The care for this is lots of rest and rehabilitation and to avoid stress. The odds of dying within a year are pretty high particularly if one does not follow the medical advice. The stress of the campaign and the stress of being in the Senate will probably kill Fetterman within a year. No worries, they will appoint his Marxist wife to fill the seat.
Coming soon: All States should run elections like Florida.
Here are some articles describing the foreshadowing of cheating and one from the UK describing how our process is full of cheating. It is unfiltered because they do not have to worry about the media wing of the Democrat Party.
