ACLU To Provide Cameras To Tape Police

The ACLU in Saint Louis will begin issuing video camera to people so they can tape encounters with the police. Citing the negative experiences in black neighborhoods, the ACLU decided that people should tape the encounters. I do not have a problem with people filming the police. They film people when they stop them so turn about is fair play. I take issue with the fact that the ACLU has taken complaints from poor minority neighborhoods and extrapolated that to some widespread problem.

The police mistreat all races equally. I have seen a number of police officers act in a manner I would not consider professional with people from the entire spectrum of the rainbow. By giving out the cameras the ACLU is asking a certain population to film what they believe to be wrong and ignores the plight of anyone who has an encounter with the police. Since every demographic will not have cameras, it is impossible to determine if the treatment is specific to one group because the other group is assumed to have been treated better.

I am willing to bet there will be an increase in calls, many bogus, just to film the police or to bait them. Crowds will taunt police and try to incite bad behavior. You can bet the behavior will be edited out of the film. One only needs to watch Cops to realize that people who break the law come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Each episode invariably features some half drunk or half stoned guy in a wife beater T shirt resisting the police. There is the obligatory fight and people who resist arrest or fail to listen to the police and end up arrested. There are good and bad cops and it seems this program is designed to increase the ACLU’s coffers by generating bogus lawsuits.

I also have a suspicion that half the cameras will be pawned and the other half used to film everything but encounters with the police.

Newdow Wants Atheism To Be Official Religion Of The US

Michael Newdow, the atheist lawyer who has decided that his wishes are more important than greater than 90% of this country has now filed a suit to have “In God We Trust” removed from our currency. The absence of a belief in religion is atheism, which the Supreme Court has, ironically, ruled a religious belief. Therefore, Newdow wants his religious belief to be the one upheld by the government which is truly a violation of the First Amendment. As I have stated many times, Congress is not making a law establishing a religion (has anyone seen such a law enacted by Congress?) and GOD is not a religion. God is the Deity in whom many religions believe. The money does not say We only trust in the God Christians, or Jews, or Muslims, worship, it says in God indicating the God that any religion believes in.

Our founders had deep rooted religious beliefs (mostly Christian) and the founding documents mention God as the Creator. God is mentioned in a number of our historical documents and now Newdow wants to wipe out a couple hundred years of religion to favor atheism. This man has to be stopped but it is expected the 9th Circus Court will side with him. The issue is expected to end up before the Supreme Court where I am sure they will interpret the Constitution correctly and leave the national motto on our currency. This will not stop Newdow who will find some other cause to involve himself in and attempt to further erode the Constitutional rights of the citizens of this country to participate in the free worship of religion, any that they so choose, including none.

The US has had enough of this guy and the manner in which he allows his hatred for his ex-wife to spill over to the rest of us. He is a scurvy little spider spinning his web bigger and bigger to capture and erode the fabric upon which our society was founded. It is time to reject this loser and the losers on the 9th Circus.

As usual, the ACLU is involved and you can bet it is for the money they make off the taxpayer. We will be better off without Newdow and the ACLU. How on Earth did we ever make it before they were around to tell us right from wrong?

ACLU Against Flag Desecration Amendment

Now here is a news flash. The ACLU is against an amendment to the Constitution that would ban Flag Desecration. They have a link at their site where people can send a canned text message to elected representatives asking them to vote against the amendment. The ACLU goes so far as to compare America to communist countries where people can be jailed for doing such things. Leave it to the communist ACLU to compare to commie countries.

Anyone who reads this site knows how I feel about the subject and, contrary to the claims made by the ACLU, most veteran’s organizations are not against the amendment. We understand that there are freedoms in this country but no one can convince me that burning a flag is free speech. It is an act and even if it were speech, what is the person trying to say? I can not figure out why it is if a person burns or flushes a Koran it is a hate crime and the media jumps all over it. Why is it that when the KKK marches and holds up racist displays they are attacked by onlookers and when people paint swastikas on their property they are hate mongers, but when some twit burns a flag, he is expressing himself.

I have an idea. The election year is around the corner and many elected officials will talk a good game about supporting the amendment until they get elected. Then, they will forget about it or work to defeat it. It looks like it will probably be a long time, if ever, before it gets passed so why don’t local jurisdictions take matters in their own hands? They can make a law that you have to have a $1000 permit to burn a flag and it must be burned on private property with the consent of the owner. Any person who burns a flag without a permit or on public property would be hit with a $10,000 fine. Since most of the flag burners are mindless losers still floating around in their drug induced euphoria from the 60s, they probably don’t have enough money to afford to burn flags.

There is no law saying that a jurisdiction can’t charge for a burning permit. The ACLU and the rest of the hate America crowd can file all the lawsuits they want but I am pretty sure that since they can make people get permits for mundane things like putting up fences and sheds and for burning trash, they can make them get a permit to burn a flag.

I personally would like to turn a fire hose, full blast, on a flag burner. I would just love to watch the little jackass bounce around the street gasping for air. But, since that is not allowed I will have to settle for the permit idea until they can pass an amendment forbidding the practice of Flag desecration.

The strange thing is, the ACLU and the rest of the jackasses do not want to allow Americans the right to choose this. After the amendment gets through the Congress it still must go to all the states to be ratified. If the ACLU was so concerned about Americans and what they want, isn’t it reasonable to expect them to let the people decide? Of course not! Like the moonbats on the left and the liberal twits in the media, the ACLU thinks they know what is best for people. They truly have worn out any welcome that they might have enjoyed in the past. I would like to know who allowed them to form so we could kick that person’s butt.
