GM To Taxpayers: SUCKERS!
Dec 17, 2013 General
The CEO of Government Motors (GM) does not think his company should pay the government (read taxpayers) the 10 BILLION dollars that were lost when the Treasury sold its interest in the company. According to Dan Akerson the Treasury knew it was taking a risk, the same risk as anyone who purchases stock, when it spend billions of taxpayer dollars to keep the company from going bankrupt.
Akerson points out that the bailout helped prevent the loss of the company and kept jobs from being lost. But he also points out that Treasury took a chance when it infused money into the company by purchasing stock.
So what this guy is saying is, you took a chance with taxpayer dollars and that chance did not pan out to the tune of a 10 BILLION dollar loss. He does not feel the need to reimburse the taxpayers whose money kept the company around.
Isn’t it funny that this guy feels the government took a chance that had a risk associated with it and lost so it has no obligation to pay the money but he had no problem with taxpayers spending money to bail his company out. Owning and running a business has certain risks associated with it and one of those risks is going bankrupt. But Akerson does not feel his company should have to suffer the consequences of the risk associated with owning or running a company.
He feels his problems should be paid for by others but that any loss those folks suffered was their problem and not his.
The bankruptcy of GM was not the problem of the taxpayer. It was the problem of GM.
Mitt Romney said GM and other auto companies should not receive a bailout and should go through bankruptcy and solve THEIR problems that way.
Obama and his followers hammered Romney and said if it was up to him the auto companies would have gone under.
Romney had it right. GM bit the hand that fed it and we lost 10 BILLION dollars in the process.
Ford did not take a bailout and was able to work through tough times. That is why my new car is a Ford.
I loved my Jeep but could not replace it with another after Chrysler took a bailout.
Remember that you suffered a 10 BILLION dollar loss when you are out shopping for a new car. Do not buy a GM product.
No sense in rewarding a company that took advantage of the people who were forced to spend their hard earned money enriching executives and keeping union workers employed so they could continue voting Democrat.
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

RIP GM Roper
Nov 28, 2013 General
It is Thanksgiving Day and I am as always thankful for the many blessing God has given me and my family. I am thankful for our health, my family and that I am blessed to live in the greatest country on Earth. America has her scars and wrinkles but she is my country and I am blessed to be her citizen wrinkles and all.
While it is true that I am thankful for many things I take this particular Thanksgiving to give thanks for the friendship of Mr. George Roper. I found out that GM passed away a few days ago and I have been bummed ever since I heard the news. I decided to take the time to give thanks for his friendship.
It is strange to think of it as a friendship when I consider that GM and I have never met face to face. He and I became acquainted because we belonged to the same groups and we both worked at Wide Awakes radio. GM and I would log into each others shows and chat back and forth. He was a true patriot and loved this country dearly. He was a true conservative and he wore his passion on his sleeve.
I am a health care professional as was GM. He worked in mental health and he and I would communicate and bounce things off each other. It was always great to get his advice and to see things from a different perspective.
As I stated, I have never met GM in person but I felt as if we had been friends all our lives. He just had the kind of personality that was addictive. Even if he disagreed with you he did so with kindness. I know he did not like liberalism and the things that are happening in this country but GM had a way of expressing his feelings with dignity and without taking away the dignity of the person with whom he disagreed. I think as a mental health professional he always remembered that a person was at the other end of the opposing opinion. I have always admired how he was able to keep that fact in mind when he disagreed. I am not so able and often times allow that to escape me when I disagree with someone. I think the world would be a better place if people could remember that a living, feeling human is on the other end.
Yes, sometimes that is difficult but GM made it look easy.
GM had lung cancer some years ago and he was able to beat that disease and was in remission for a number of years. Our tight knit group always waited for his latest results and were overjoyed when they were good.
Unfortunately, GM developed another cancer and it took his life.
The world is a little darker today because of the loss of this caring man but Heaven is a little bit brighter.
My family and I wish to express our deepest sympathies to GM’s family and we will keep them in our prayers as they go through this extremely tough time.
God bless GM Roper and give comfort and strength to his family.

Never surrender, never submit.
Stop While We Get Your DNA
Nov 20, 2013 General
People in Fort Worth Texas were funneled into a single lane and then they were asked to move into a parking lot. There were contractors working on some government program to collect DNA to see the number of people on the road who were driving with an intoxicating substance in their system. People could give a mouth swab, blood or do a breathalyzer.
All of this was voluntary and there were plenty of signs indicating so and people were paid if they gave a mouth swab or blood.
BUT, it did not feel voluntary. People who read the signs and did not want to participate were still forced to pull into the parking lot by Fort Worth police officers. People indicated that they were told it was voluntary but it did not feel voluntary. They were detained even if they did not want to participate.
One of the handouts indicated that the air inside the car was passively monitored for alcohol (this is done with small machines that sample the air which contains the exhaled air of the driver). No one volunteered for that but it was done as part of the process that forced them off the road and delayed them.
It does not matter if the entire exercise was voluntary if the police did not act like it was voluntary. If people believed they were being compelled to participate and if they indicated they did not want to participate and their car’s air was sampled and they were delayed then their rights were violated.
I hope those who did not agree are able to get this resolved with perhaps some sort of legal action. I am not normally a sue them first kind of person but government and its police state is getting more and more brazen in the way it violates our rights.
If we make it hurt by taking their money then perhaps they will get the message and stop violating our rights.
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

If Al Gore Had His Way We’d Have Fried
Sep 12, 2013 General
For a very long time now Al Gore and the followers of the Church of Global Warming have been telling us that Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is the culprit in manmade global warming and that we need to reduce this greenhouse gas or we would all suffer from rising temperatures.
These allegations flew in the face of history which showed cyclic climate activity with periods of cold and periods of heat. The planet was not boiling over tens of thousands of years ago when the CO2 level was many times higher than it is now.
This did not stop the climate alarmists from screaming about the end of the world if we did not spend tons of money to solve the problem (even though we do not have the money and cannot change nature).
The revelations about phony data and data manipulation did not stop the adherents to the Church of Global Warming from continuing their quest to enslave us under the guise of saving the planet.
They pressed on with their plans and they did so while they flew in their jets and rode in their limousines. They have continued to press on even as data show the polar ice caps getting bigger.
But if Al Gore had his way and we had actually been able to lower the CO2 level then we might have all fried from increased planet temperatures. You see, NASA has conducted research and concluded that CO2 (and other greenhouse gasses) in the atmosphere actually blocks up to 95% of the harmful solar rays that would increase the planet’s temperature.
NASA’s Langley Research Center has collated data proving that “greenhouse gases” actually block up to 95 percent of harmful solar rays from reaching our planet, thus reducing the heating impact of the sun. Principia Scientific
The entire global warming/climate change scheme is designed to rid you of your money and your freedom. Al Gore got very rich off this sham as did many other people.
This is not to say we should not be good stewards of our planet. We should clean our mess and find ways to create less pollution BUT we should not do so at the expense of phony science and our freedom.
Al Gore said the science was settled. I think he meant the phony science was settled.
The real scientists have found that CO2 is beneficial to our existence and increased levels keep us from heating up.
Maybe Gore should return his Nobel.
Perhaps he can get a deal on shipping if he sends it back in the same box with Obama’s.
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

This Is America
Sep 11, 2013 General
On the 12th anniversary of the cowardly attack on our nation I, like many others, sadly remember the horror of the day and the senseless loss of life.
I also think of the liberty lost as this nation changed.
This video of the song “This Is America” by my friends The Oak Ridge Boys is my post for the day.
May God bless this great nation and those who faithfully serve it.
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.
