ILLEGALS Take Jobs Americans Won’t
Dec 22, 2006 Immigration
At least that is what we keep being told. They are here to take jobs that Americans will not apply for and do not want. Those of us on the other side of the debate believe that there are plenty of Americans who will do the jobs if they were available instead of occupied by ILLEGALS.
Last week the feds raided Swift Meat Packing and carted off over 1000 ILLEGALS. Swift worried prior to the raid that any such action would reduce their workforce by 40% (meaning of course that they knew their workforce might be 40% ILLEGAL). They were very worried that they would not be able to produce with their employees arrested and on their way south. But a funny thing happened on the way to the border.
Seems that the line of people seeking jobs at Swift stretched out of the building and into the street. As strange as it might seem, there are a lot of citizens who are trying to get these jobs that, supposedly, only ILLEGALS would do. So let us throw this whole won’t do the work argument out the door and crack down on ILLEGALS.

Anyone Up for a Fight?
Dec 20, 2006 Immigration
It would appear that a bunch of half baked lunatics has declared war on the United States. I say we accept the declaration and wipe them out. Then others will think twice before doing such a stupid thing.
THIS DECLARATION OF WAR ON THE UNITED STATES WAS SIGNED ON DECEMBER 13, 2006
Declaration of Los Angeles
A project of the Pacific Southwest Region of the Anti-Defamation LeagueRECITALS
- Security precautions are necessary to protect the integrity of the United States border and the well-being of the American people. The United States has every right as a sovereign nation to control its border and immigration policies. However, immigration policy must also take into consideration and strive to protect civil and human rights of immigrants.
- In response to the alleged threat that undocumented persons pose to American society, unauthorized vigilante civilian groups have formed to put pressure on the U.S. government.
- These groups, which have conducted their own unauthorized patrols along the United States-Mexico border, use anti-immigrant and xenophobic rhetoric to exploit mainstream fears of unchecked immigration, especially Latino immigration.
- Anti-immigration rhetoric also is used to promote a message of intolerance of undocumented persons and of Latinos in general.
- Vigilante civilian patrol groups are usually armed during their border patrols, creating the potential for violence and creating an atmosphere of fear and lawlessness.
- Members of hate groups, such as neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups, have expressed support for civilian patrol and anti-immigration groups, through participation in patrols, protests and rallies.
- Although there is a continued risk of terrorists and criminals misusing the immigration system to illegally enter the United States, a safe and secure border cannot be achieved through civilian vigilantism.
- Coordinated efforts by federal, state and local law enforcement officials are necessary to monitor the activities of civilian border patrols and extremist groups in order to maintain safety and public order and to protect human and civil rights.
- Anti-immigration and anti-Latino rhetoric ignores the valuable economic and cultural contributions these groups have made to American society for hundreds of years.
DECLARATION
Based on the foregoing recitals, the Pacific Southwest Region of the Anti-Defamation League, together with the undersigned concerned members of the Los Angeles community, call upon local, state and federal government officials to do the following, when crafting immigration policy which affects the US-Mexico border:
- Recognize and protect the basic human rights of immigrants.
- Support human rights and the humane treatment of undocumented persons as part of the tradition of fighting intolerance and bias.
- Recognize and publicly denounce xenophobia and anti-immigrant bias as having no place in United States’ immigration policy.
- Monitor and respond to extremist groups who advocate bigotry or racism, armed citizen response, vigilantism in any form, violence or any other tactic that subverts the democratic process.
- Hold to the highest standards of human rights and dignity all law enforcement and judicial processes that relate to deportation, detention and immigration status.
- Recognize the need for a safe and secure United States.

Every group that declared war is full of misfits and malcontents as well as those who support breaking the law. I also love the way they say the groups patrolling the border are creating an atmosphere of lawlessness. No, sneaking into our country creates an atmosphere of lawlessness you low life law breakers. Perhaps we need Sean Penn to speak with them about the importance of upholding the laws of the land.

Management Admits it Knew About ILLEGALS at Swift
Dec 13, 2006 Immigration
I wrote yesterday about a raid at Swift and Company meat processors in which an untold number of ILLEGALS were removed from the workplace. There were people complaining and asking officials “who will pick up their children?” As far as I am concerned ICE can pick up the children at the same time they pick up the rest of the family. They all need to go back to their country of origin. Now i realize that some of these children might be citizens because they were anchor babies so that means parents have a choice, go home without your kids or take them with you.
The company indicated that it never knowingly hires ILLEGALS:
No charges had been filed against Swift. In a written statement, President and CEO Sam Rovit said the company has never knowingly hired illegal workers and does not condone the practice.
It is interesting for them to make that statement because they admitted to knowing that they had ILLEGALS working for them. The article indicates that ICE notified SWIFT that they would conduct the raid on Dec 4th and the company tried to have that raid halted because they would lose up to 40% of their workforce and it would cause them irreparable harm:
Immigration officials last month informed Swift that it would remove unauthorized workers on Dec. 4, but Swift asked a federal judge to prevent agents from conducting the raid, arguing it would cause “substantial and irreparable injury” to its business.
Swift estimated that a raid would remove up to 40 percent of its 13,000 workers. After a closed hearing, a judge on Thursday rejected Swift’s request, clearing the way for the raids.
So, if they do not condone the practice of hiring ILLEGALS, how could they estimate that a raid would cost them 40% of their workforce. If they truthfully did not hire ILLEGALS and they did not condone the practice then they would not have to worry about a raid and could have said that it would cost them business in down time while the raid was conducted. Instead, they came right out and said it would cost them 40% of their workforce which means they knew that they had about 5200 employees who were ILLEGALS.
The company has admitted that they knew they were using ILLEGALS and therefore should be fined for the practice. They should have to pay a $10,000 fine per ILLEGAL they employed and then they should have to reimburse the government for the cost of the raid and the deportation proceedings. Additionally, the company should have to provide protection to any American citizen whose Social Security Number was used illegally through credit monitoring.
A $52 million fine and credit monitoring plus cost reimbursement should make this company, or any other, think real hard about who they hire. If that puts them out of business or hurts the bottom line a bit then they will have no one to blame but themselves. It will make the PETA folks happy as well, so the donks should not be too upset that their new voter base is being sent south, despite protestations by, who else, labor unions.

Putting Illegals on ICE
Dec 12, 2006 Immigration
Federal agents raided six meat processing plants belonging to the Swift & Co in search of ILLEGAL aliens. The feds have been investigating a ring that uses other people’s Social Security numbers and forges documents to help ILLEGALS gain employment in this country. The raid netted an unknown number of people who are being held on a variety of charges. So far, the company has not been cited but Tom Tancredo (R-CO), a strong advocate for tough immigration laws, shared his thoughts about that:
“I congratulate all law enforcement agencies involved in the successful raid,†said Tancredo, Chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus. “My hope at this point is that the U.S. government has the courage to prosecute the Swift & Company executives who may have been complicit in their hiring.â€
Tancredo concluded with, “When something of this scale happens, it’s pretty likely that the plant managers were aware of it, often with the consent of management.†The Tribune
Fox News is carrying the story and the photo accompanying it is a sign with the words “Don’t take my parents at Christmas.” The sign is held by a 26 year old so it is not like some toddler who does not know the law is protesting the activities. Even if it were a toddler, sorry kids, this is what happens when mommy and daddy break the law. They do not belong here and they used stolen identities to get work so perhaps American kids should be out there holding up signs reading “Do not steal my parent’s identities at Christmas or any other time.”
It is good to see the feds rounding up the ILLEGALS and I hope this continues until they are all gone or all in jail. I really do not care if it is Christmas or any other time, a law breaker is a law breaker regardless of the season. It is particularly nice that they raided all six plants of the Swift company forcing them to shut down. This should cost them plenty of money and hopefully they will learn from it. I am also hopeful that in addition to lost revenue, the owners are fined heavily and lose any government contracts they might have.
These raids should send a clear message to ILLEGALS and those who hire them. Hefty fines and/or jail time will reinforce that message.

As an aside, I wonder if someone uses my Social Security number and pays into my account, will I be allowed to keep the money and then get it when I retire?
Obey the Law Entering, not Exiting Mexico
Nov 25, 2006 Immigration
Since a few months before the last election the whole issue if ILLEGALS entering this country took a position on the back burner and, except for a few mentions, has remained there. President Bush expressed that he might be able to get his guest worker program passed now that Democrats, the party that favors all kinds of ILLEGAL entry, are in power. Many in this country want the border secured and now that Democrats are in charge it is unlikely that it will happen. They are already talking about not building the wall that they recently mandated. Those of us who oppose open borders have been called all kinds of names, like the Liberal’s favorite, racist, because we oppose those brown folks from coming here. Truth is, we oppose everyone, regardless of color, who is not legal.
I have already pointed out, as have many others, the draconian immigration laws that Mexico has. There laws make ours look like rewards and they do not mind enforcing them and trying to ensure their own sovereignty. However, let the US try to secure its borders and the members of the Mexican government come unhinged. They scream about what a terrible mistake it is and that their people are just looking for a better life, blah, blah. You see, to the Mexicans, and the Liberals, it is OK for any country to have tough laws and look out for itself just so long as that country is not the United States.
There is a story out today about a border patrol agent who was detained in Mexico because he had 650 rounds of ammunition in his car. He was held in jail for a day and finally released hen the US negotiated some sort of deal. You see, there is a sign at the Mexican border that reads “no guns or ammo.” Heaven knows those law abiding, honest, Mexicans can not let someone entering their country break the law. Who does this border patrol think he is some Mexican or something. How dare he break a law while crossing the border of another country. The only people who can do that are Mexicans.
I am not condoning what the guy did. He broke their law though it is likely he forgot the ammo was in his car. The Mexicans could have easily turned him around and sent him back into the US instead of making a big deal about the whole thing. Having said that, they were well within their rights to enforce their laws. There is the difference. If they enforce their laws they are entitled, if we try to enforce our laws they riot in the street and burn flags. We hardly ever put this scum in jail and most are held for less time than the border patrol agent was.
It is time for us to get our acts together and oppose any form of amnesty or guest worker program. We need to make it clear that we will not discuss any item dealing with allowing people into this country until this country secures its borders. It is time for a bunch of good ole’ boys in the south to get together and stand on the border (much of which is private property) and shoot all trespassers. The law might not want to allow us to handle the people who cross the border into the country but trespassing onto private property is a matter that landowners can handle without the bumbling idiots in law enforcement. If the landowners just started shooting out the back and dropping the ILLEGALS, they would stop crossing. Let’s face it, no one is going to miss a bunch of scum that tried to break in. Just like no one misses them when they die of exposure on the way over.
Besides, the buzzards have to eat too.
