Illegal Alien Smugglers Should Get Life

Police in Arizona have broken a human trafficking ring that is responsible for smuggling ILLEGALS into this country for generations:
Police have arrested more than 40 people and broken up a family-run smuggling ring that hauled illegal immigrants from Mexico to Arizona for generations, officials said on Monday.
The operation, which began in 2001, broke up a ring that smuggled undocumented immigrants to Bowie, Arizona, southeast of Phoenix, from Agua Prieta in Mexico, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. al-Reuters
These 40 people need to be placed in jail for life. They dealt in lives and now they should get life. Any judge that allows any type of leniency should be executed by firing squad.
Our country and our laws will not be taken seriously until we start making examples of the people coming here ILLEGALLY and those who are helping them. Until we make the punishment more painful then the money they can earn, we will get more of this.

The United States of America is slipping further into the abyss and one day we will all wake up and find our country over run by ILLEGALS and Muslim Terrorists and there will be no one to help rectify the situation. This is the result of the constant assault on those who stand ready to protect this country and its borders. It is also a result of feel good policies that grant rights to non-citizens and criminals who do not deserve them.
Members of our military are under constant attack and when ever anyone makes a claim of abuse they are immediately believed. Members of the military are believed to have lied and must prove their innocence rather than the courts prove their guilt. In many cases charges are brought to appease someone of questionable credibility or to smooth over hard feelings with people from other countries. There is never any consideration given to the idea that the claimant is lying or has an agenda. Instead, our valiant men and women must not only fight a war on terror, they must also fight a war against their honor. The liberals in this country are particularly fond of pointing to our military and accusing them of horrific crimes without a shred of evidence. John Kerry and Jack Murtha are two such people. The liberals are only happy to point fingers at our troops while dismissing the acts of terrorists.
It is not bad enough that our troops are being excoriated for doing the job most people in this country have neither the will nor the courage to do but now we have border patrol agents being prosecuted for doing their jobs. Yes, as unbelievable as it seems, two border patrol agents were found guilty of obstruction of justice and violating the civil rights of some ILLEGAL piece of cow dung that was sneaking drugs into this country. The drug smuggler was able to file the complaint from his jail cell and the officers were tried and found guilty. There are many who say that evidence was withheld and that the jury has serious misgivings about the verdict they rendered. These officers are waiting to see if Congressional hearings and an appeal will change things for them.
Can you imagine this taking place in America? First of all, what civil rights does an ILLEGAL have? ABSOLUTELY NONE! They are here ILLEGALLY and if they would just shoot them when they are crossing the border then there would be no problems. Instead, we allow them in, let them bring their poison here, and then let them make claims against the very people who are here to ensure we have safe borders. Despite the best attempts of every politician in Washington, these folks are making a dent in the problem. The deserve to get medals instead of being prosecuted. Who could blame them if everyone walked off the job in protest of the way their fellow officers are being treated? Hell, it is hard enough recruiting people to do this thankless job in the first place. I guess since they were successful in getting one of the ILLEGALS the do nothing jackasses in government felt it was necessary to make examples of these two guys for actually doing their jobs.
Imagine if you were a bank guard and two guys, let’s make it two ILLEGALS, came in to rob the place. They pull out guns and say “dénos el dinero” (give us the money). You, as the bank guard pull your weapon and tell them to drop theirs (el dropo el pistolero, hombre’). They turn to shoot at you and you shoot them. Thirty years ago you get a medal, a write up in the paper and the Mayor wants to have you over for lunch. Now, you as the bank guard, would be sued by the one guy who made it but ended up paralyzed. You will be tried for excessive use of force, violation of civil rights and any other thing that the ACLU and the liberals in government can charge you with. Instead of being a hero for saving all the people in the bank and catching the robbers, you would be castigated for placing those folks in the bank in harm’s way by shooting at the bad guys.
We need to fix this problem and we need to do it quickly. First, there needs to be a complete review of the case to see if vital evidence was left out of the trial. If these guys are still found guilty then the President needs to pardon them and let them get back to work. Long term, the do nothing Congress needs to get up off their fat asses and work on legislation that gives immunity from civil suits based on claims made by ILLEGALS sneaking in this country. We also need to clearly spell out that ILLEGALS are not entitled to Civil Rights. These rights are bestowed upon LEGAL Citizens of this country. This whole liberal idea of hand holding Utopia and singing while ILLEGALS are welcomed with open arms as if they belong here has got to stop. Our border patrol agents need to be immune from frivolous things like claims from people who are breaking the law. If there is no credible witness then they are not charged. The border patrol agents need the same kind of immunity members of Congress claim when they are in trouble. It is the misapplied Speech and Debate Clause. If members can misapply that to be free from penalties in the performance of their duties then we need something similar for the border patrol agents. Come to think of it, we need this for our troops as well.
The US is heading in the wrong direction. Each day brings a new story about a person doing his job being prosecuted while those who are out to hurt this country are given a slap on the wrist. We give rights to terrorists that are better than the rights we give to our own troops, we prosecute border patrol agents for doing their jobs and let those who are caught sneaking in go with impunity and we give those, like Lynne Stewart, who help our enemies slaps on the wrists instead of the full burden of the law. We gave soldiers who were convicted of abusing prisoners longer sentences than we did the woman who was passing messages on to the terrorists so they could kill us. No matter how you slice it, that is wrong and it is a path that will lead to our eventual destruction. One day, there will be a crisis and no one will be there to answer the call. They will have either been jailed or said the hell with it, it is not worth the effort. Once this happens the people who want to destroy America will have succeeded and our government will have been only to happy to assist.

US Reaches 300 Million People

A few seconds ago at 0746 EST, the population of the United States reached 300 million. This is, of course an estimate because we have no way of knowing just how many people sneak into this country each day.
Many in the world have opined that the US is growing and consuming more than its fair share (as if fair share can be determined). I have an idea. We can send the 11 million or so ILLEGALS back from whence they came and reduce our draw on the fair share of supplies in the world.
Maybe some of the countries who are complaining could take them off our hands.

US Ends Catch And Release?

The United States is claiming that it is ending the catch and release program. Not of fish but of ILLEGAL Aliens. The report is rather strange:
Nearly all non-Mexican illegal immigrants caught sneaking into the United States are being held until they can be returned to their home countries, the Bush administration said Wednesday.

The new policy, dubbed “catch-and-detain” generally does not apply to Mexicans who are almost immediately returned to Mexico after being stopped by Border Patrol agents.
I can certainly understand why Mexicans are treated differently. Their country is right next to us so we can send them right back. People from other places will be held until they are sent home. The problem I have is that local jurisdictions are being prevented from asking about immigration status. This prevent us from having an effective catch and detain or send home program because we can not weed out the ones who are already here. The only people this affects are those who are captured sneaking in.
We need to allow the police to determine immigration status of all people who are stopped. The police and other agencies should be able to check on any person they consider suspicious. Hospitals should be able to check (not deny emergent care) and ANYONE registering to vote or trying to get a driver’s license should be verified.

Corrupt Border Patrol Agents Should Get Harsh Penalties

It is no secret that the US borders, especially those in the South, are porous. People walk in here ILLEGALLY all the time and there is little being done about it. Politicians who are more worried about being reelected than national security are either turning their backs on the problems or putting forth legislation that has little bite and rewards ILLEGAL activity. The politicians are more worried about upsetting the Latin American community and the ILLEGALS, which they view as votes (or the new of civil rights victims) than they are about ensuring our country’s laws are obeyed and that our national security is protected. With this in mind, is it any wonder that Border Control Agents are involved in corruption?
I am not making excuses for the agents but am only pointing out that if Congress can use ILLEGALS for personal gain, why not the agents? However, this mentality is what gives us liberals who excuse ILLEGAL behavior for a number of reasons. I actually know of a liberal who, while watching the people steal TVs and other items during Katrina, asked “Well why can’t they take it. It is only going to get ruined by the water.” That might be a great way to rationalize but the answer is BECAUSE IT DOES NOT BELONG TO THEM. If a bank caught fire could people run out with the money because it would just get burned up?
There have been a number of Border Patrol Agents involved in taking bribes to allows ILLEGALS and drugs into this country.
Federal law enforcement officials are investigating a series of bribery and smuggling cases in what they fear is a sign of increased corruption among officers who patrol the Mexican border.
Two brothers who worked for the U.S. Border Patrol disappeared in June while under investigation for smuggling drugs and immigrants, and are believed to have fled to Mexico. In the past month, two agents from Customs and Border Protection, which guards border checkpoints, were indicted for taking bribes to allow illegal immigrants to enter the United States. And earlier this month, two Border Patrol supervisory agents pleaded guilty to accepting nearly $200,000 in payoffs to release smugglers and illegal immigrants who had been detained.
I really do not care why these agents sell out but I do care that their greed is allowing people to get in this country ILLEGALLY and that drugs are getting on our streets because of their actions. I believe that any Border Patrol Agent who is convicted of these crimes should receive a MANDATORY 25 year sentence regardless of the amount of the bribe. If they allow ILLEGALS in and anyone is killed as a result then they should be put in jail for life and if the agent allows drugs in the country that agent should be sentenced as a drug smuggler and sentenced under Federal guidelines.
We need tough rules for people with whom we entrust our safety and security. Members of Congress are protected from their stupidity by the Constitution but Border Patrol Agents have no such protection. They are there to enforce the law and if they do not they should be punished more severely than the average guy on the street. If you want to stop people from committing crimes then you need to make the punishment so severe that it is not worth the effort. No one wants to go to jail for 25 years for taking 10 grand in bribes.
Congress should keep this in mind when debating the ILLEGAL immigration issue. ILLEGALS come here because they are not punished when caught. The only place they are really punished is in one part of Arizona and the Mexicans there are protesting people being locked up as unfair! We need to make ILLEGALS pay for their crimes. I think that instead of a wall on the Southern border maybe we should build a huge prison that we keep ILLEGALS in. That prison would be there when they cross and they will have a reminder of what awaits them if they come in ILLEGALLY. We could also use it to put the crooked Border Patrol Agents in.
