Harry Reid Plays Racist Card
May 19, 2006 Immigration
The Senate voted to make English the official language of the US. This has been a long time in coming and I think it is about time we had an official language. This country was founded by English speaking people and English has been the standard language since that time. High School students are required to take English, all other languages are electives. Democrat Dingy Harry Reid says the move is racist.
“This amendment is racist. I think it’s directed basically to people who speak Spanish,” the Democrat said during the already tense debate over immigration reform.
Someone should tell Reid this is directed at people who do not speak English. Spanish speaking people just happen to be the bulk of the offenders thanks to the lax immigration rules in this country. I am constantly amazed at how politicians bend over backwards to appease people who think that when they come here they are entitled to everything and have no regard for our cultures and traditions.
When I lived in Germany the military required me to attend a two week Headstart course so that i could learn some German phrases and words to help me assimilate into the culture. I was not great at the language but spoke it the best I could when communicating with the people who lived there. I did this out of respect. BTW, none of the phrases I was taught included asking for hand outs, social security, or free health care.
As I have stated, the more I see the people in Congress in action the more I want to vote them all out and replace them with folks, regardless of party, who want to run this country correctly. Perhaps if more average citizens were invited to address Congress and let them know how we feel they might get their acts together. I know I would give them something to think about. Only problem is most of us to not have the access fees required to get to a Congressman. They are so entrenched in their comfy jobs doing nothing while looking busy that we will never get on the right track.

Senate Votes For Amnesty! Illegals Get Social Security
May 19, 2006 Immigration
The Senate voted to allow ILLEGALS who obtained their jobs with forged documents to still collect Social Security. You read that right. If an ILLEGAL came here and used forged documents to get a job they may still collect Social Security. In a period where SS benefits are in doubt for future generations and where the government continues to extort money from American taxpayers to fund other’s retirement, this smacks of bad form.
“There was a felony they were committing, and now they can’t be prosecuted. That sounds like amnesty to me,” said Sen. John Ensign, the Nevada Republican who offered the amendment yesterday to strip out those provisions of the immigration reform bill. “It just boggles the mind how people could be against this amendment.”
It is absolutely amazing to me how out of touch members of the Senate really are. They continually give our money away while rewarding non-citizens for breaking the law. People in this country who commit a crime and make money doing so lose that money when they are arrested. This is no different than telling a bank robber that he can keep the money he stole from the bank even though he committed a crime to get it.
ILLEGALS should have to forfeit that money as a penalty for being here ILLEGALLY! When will the members of the Senate realize that when you reward bad behavior you get more bad behavior. Tell me where this idea will stop people from committing crimes. We have laws for a reason. The moonbats in the Congress are all over the ENRON fiasco demanding that Ken Lay and others pay for getting rich while others lost money. Maybe we need to tell Lay that he can KEEP the money he got. Maybe they should have allowed Congressman Randy Cunningham to keep the millions he made illegally and just told him not to do it again. He went to jail, Lay faces jail time and the ILLEGALS are getting away with all kinds of crimes. It would appear that the only mistake made by Lay and Cunningham is not being ILLEGAL aliens. They would have been given amnesty if they were.
I am so tired of the political leaders in this country doing STUPID things. They are not good leaders and the only thing they work hard at is staying in office. By the way, for those of you who still think John McCain is the answer, he voted to allow this amnesty. That should put the final nail in this RINO’s coffin.
I read somewhere that millions of us should show up at the Capital and tell them we are undocumented Congressmen and we are there to do the job that Congress will not do. At first it was a funny line but the more I think about it the more validity it has. Remember, our members only work about 100 days a year and yet they still cause tons of damage in so short a time.
Vote them all out and replace them with people willing to do the job and do it right. Term Limits have never looked so good.

Immigration Policy Addition, Conscription!
May 16, 2006 Immigration
These draftees will get valuable job training and will be taught ENGLISH by the military. They will be subject to the laws of the Uniform Code Of Military Justice so if they screw up or go AWOL, bang, right into the stockade. These ILLEGALS will now be members of our armed forces and their first duty assignment after training will be one of the areas where we are currently engaged in combat. These are jobs that most Americans truly do not want to do. They will pull their duties and be sent back to the US for stateside duty. Maybe, in a twist of irony, they will be on border guard. In any event, they will serve a mandatory 6 year hitch. If they make it with an honorable discharge they can become a citizen. If they are wounded and released from service they will still be eligible for citizenship. Those who are released with a less than honorable discharge will be sent back home. Anyone killed in combat will get citizenship posthumously and their families can stay.
Now this is a plan that has many merits. It will give them job skills and teach them English. It will allow them to actually earn a place here and if they make it alive they will have shown they are willing to die to become a citizen. It will also give us more troops so that the moonbats can quit crying about the “strain” we are putting on our military and it will reduce the number of deployments. It also gives us an advantage of putting people who are use to crossing the hot desert into a hot desert. It is a win win all around.
Write Congress and tell them to start drafting a bill to conscript the ILLEGALS. They can call it the Americans Making Illegals Gain Ownership by Supporting Immigration (AMIGO-SI) act. Tough love baby, that is all that is needed.
Facts About Mexico, Past and Present
May 16, 2006 Immigration
If the southwestern United States had remained part of Mexico, this region would have been governed under Mexican laws — and would probably be as impoverished and bereft of opportunity as Mexico is today. The Southwest’s vigorous cities and universities, its medical centers and Silicon Valleys, its upward mobility and thriving middle class, its transportation, communication and power generation systems would be a mere shadow of what they are today. Las Vegas and Hollywood would still be sleepy desert way stations.
If the reconquistas were to “take back” these lands, they would likely impose the same disastrous policies that have enfeebled Mexico. They would squander, rather than capture, America’s prosperity and opportunity — turning America’s gold into lead, like a reverse King Midas. Countless poor Mexicans would still be drawn to the magnetic North. And our immigration problems would simply move to the southern borders of Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Oklahoma.
Anyone who has visited the Southern border of the United States can see this already. The areas where immigrants congregate are impoverished and there is little hope for advancement. I have been to several areas and they are full of poor people who have no means to make a better life. If they had held on to the south (or if we continue to give it back) it will become as criminally poor as the place they left.
Quotes Of The Day: Immigration
May 16, 2006 Immigration
- “In Alabama, you knew who the Klan were. They openly paraded around in sheets,” Johnson said. “In California, racism has taken on a more covert approach. Here they wear suits, they have Web sites and they use initiatives to spread their message of hate.” [It is racist to want lawbreakers denied services BD]
- “This will burden our local taxpayers with unnecessary costs simply because Washington, D.C., has failed in its immigration policy. This makes no sense at all,” the mayor said. [As opposed to the MILLIONS of dollars ILLEGALS cost us BD]
- “People here have more important things to do then watch Bush,” said Carlos Amado Luarca, a Dominican monk who works in the shelter. “This plan to send soldiers is one more sign of the decadence of the American empire.” [More important, like sneaking in to the US while everyone is watching TV BD]
- Roberto Arreola, 30, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, addressed the council before the decision.
“We are not criminals and it doesn’t make sense for the city to pass a law against us,” said Arreola, speaking in Spanish with a translator. [An ILLEGAL immigrant says he is not a criminal. He said it through a translator because he can not speak ENGLISH. Why did they not arrest and deport this guy?]
There you have it, loony quotes from people who do not have a clue.
