High Tech Lynching
Oct 31, 2011 Opinion
While the left screams about TEA Party members wanting blacks lynched (a baseless claim) the left is engaging in a high tech lynching of a black conservative. The story that Herman Cain was accused of sexual harassment and that an investigation turned up nothing has not stopped the left wing media (the Democrat wing) from lynching him. The baseless claims line up with the smear job The New York Times did in manufacturing (in 2008) the equally baseless claim that John McCain had an affair.
The left is very fast to jump on the lynch train when it comes to Herman Cain even though the allegations appear baseless. When it comes to their own they ignore the facts to provide protection.
Bill Clinton accused of rape and caught (and verified via DNA) having sex with an intern. He lied about it and the Democrats defended him during the impeachment he suffered for perjury. The left said it was a personal affair, a matter of sex between consenting adults. Nothing to see here so move along.
John Edwards is another example. He denied, denied, denied and then bam, the facts came out and not only did he have an affair while his poor wife was dying of cancer, he fathered a child. He was eventually shunned by his party but not until the evidence was so overwhelming (and sleazy) that there was no way to deny it.
Jesse Jackson, the paragon of virtue, fathered a child with someone that was not his wife. He is still regarded as a spokesperson for the disadvantaged minorities in this country (or those who have been told so often they are disadvantaged that they act like it).
We are all human beings and we all make mistakes. These men suffered their issues in public because of who they are. The untold numbers of people in the same situations are unknown to all except their family and friends because they do not live in the public’s eye.
The problem arises when allegations such as those against McCain and Herman Cain are manufactured and people do not give them the benefit of the doubt because of politics. Clinton and Edwards deny it so it must be false. Cain denies it and he is lying…
Wouldn’t it be better if the NYT did not make up the McCain story?
Wouldn’t it be better if Cain received the same consideration Clinton and Edwards did when the left kept telling us nothing was going on? It has not been shown that Cain did anything wrong. If it turns out that he did then fine, skewer him and send him on his way.
The idea that he needs to be ruined over baseless accusations is one of the things wrong in our political system.
It would have been nice though, if the MSM had spent as much time vetting Obama as it does looking to destroy Republicans.
Certainly there were a few things in Obama’s past that were liabilities. Of course they are not a problem when the MSM is burying legitimate stories.
Then again, the left only lynches blacks who have strayed away from the Democrat plantation.
Cave canem!

A Fallen Hero And Some Disrespectful Behavior
Jul 28, 2011 Military, Opinion
I had the solemn honor of being on an aircraft today that was carrying one of our fallen heroes. His escorts were on board our plane. When we landed in Atlanta we were asked to remain seated until the escorts left the plane.
Everyone on board remained seated and quiet as those men gathered their belongings and left to do one of the hardest jobs a service member has to do. It is an honor to be on a funeral detail but one we hope never to have. We would rather do that for an aged veteran who lived a long life.
I was proud that everyone remained seated and allowed those heroes to leave unmolested by the surge of people that happens when a plane empties.
I went inside and was able to look out of the window where I saw two people holding a flag or guidon but my view was obstructed so I could not make it out. I also saw the American flag and workers standing with their hands over their hearts.
A special carrier pained in red, white, and blue was in place with the words “Some Gave All” inscribed on the back. As the flag draped casket was coming down the conveyor I stood at attention with my hand over my heart. Soldiers (the fallen hero was Air Force) from an Army unit were there and stood and saluted. Many people around us saw what was going on and when they realized what was taking place, they stood. Men removed their hats and all of us who stood waited until the hero was placed in the special carrier.
I was very unhappy with a number of people who knew what was going on but chose to read their papers and play with their electronic gadgets. They looked at all of us, looked outside to see why we were doing what we were and carried on as if nothing was taking place.
No matter how one feels about war or the military the fact remains that our fallen heroes deserve our respect.
Reading the paper or playing with an electronic gadget is not a sign of respect.
You people, and you know who you are, should be ashamed.
And for those of you who showed respect, I will take the liberty to thank you on behalf of the family and friends of that fallen hero.
I took two pictures of the carrier and I think I got the Flag draped casket in one of them. I will not post that out of respect for the fallen and his family.
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Obama Puts Toes In The Water
Jul 25, 2011 Opinion, Political
Barack Obama was speaking to the racist group the National Council of La Raza about immigration reform. The group basically wants open borders and unlimited free entry into this country as well as amnesty for those here illegally. Obama is more than willing to oblige but told them he needs a dance partner. What that means is he wants Republicans to get on board so he will have political cover.
Obama told the group that the idea of doing things on his own is very tempting, and not just with immigration reform. He then went on to say that this is not how our Democracy works. But was that statement his attempt to test the waters?
Obama has already loosened immigration law enforcement by Executive Order so what does he want to do on his own?
Perhaps he is releasing a trial balloon with regard to the debt limit talks. The idea has been floated by Obama’s henchmen that he should invoke the 14th Amendment and bypass Congress in order to take on more debt. Even Slick Willy Clinton thinks Obama should do that and Bernie Sanders thinks so as well and says they can worry about the courts later.
Here are supposed leaders in this country discussing ways to subvert the Constitution and do what they want knowing that the damage will be done long before the courts ever decide the issue. You can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube and they know it. They can get slapped by the courts and yell “my bad” but they will have gotten away with it.
Or will they? Obama might be testing the waters to see if there would be much opposition to going it alone. As stated, he has already loosened immigration laws, not to the satisfaction of La Raza, but he has done an end run around Congress. The sad thing is that Congress seems willing to sit by and let him.
However, there is one thing the courts can’t weigh in on and that is impeachment. If Obama tries to invoke the 14th Amendment then Congress should draw up articles of impeachment.
The 14th Amendment does not give any president the authority to borrow money. The Constitution is clear that this is the responsibility of Congress.
He might have been speaking out of frustration but with this guy one has to be careful because he is one who thinks the Constitution is too limiting. He does not like it and he is willing to ignore it (see Obamacare).
So go ahead Mr. Obama, test those waters and see how things pan out. Perhaps all your supporters will be behind you. Hell, you already have Clinton in your corner and the liberals all love him.
But keep in mind that if you do anything on your own Congress might just show its teeth with impeachment proceedings.
And that is something the courts can’t help you with.
Of course the Senate would probably save him but the courts and the Senate won’t be able to stop the folks with their pitchforks and torches…
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Where Is Dr. Obama’s Scalpel?
Jun 26, 2011 Opinion
Barack Obama told us that John McCain wanted to take an ax to the budget and that he, Barack the Magnificent, would take a scalpel and he would go line by line in the federal budget to make cuts. Two and a half years into his first (and hopefully only) term and Obama has failed to do much cutting.
The first thing he did was raise things about 25% and then pretend that he was making cuts by backing off that number making it appear as if he cut when he was well ahead of what was taking place when he took office. In his time in office the deficit each year has been in the trillions of dollars and there is no end in sight as Democrats work hard to spend more and more to satisfy their need to continue to spend.
Democrats gain constituencies by promising free stuff which is only free to the people getting it. The rest of us must pay the bills for the free stuff Democrats give away. The Stimulus was nothing more than a nearly trillion dollar slush fund to pay off Democrat constituencies. We are in bad shape and things are continuing to decline as the so called experts act surprised at the news each month that is always “unexpected”. Perhaps if the economic news continues to be unexpected and the experts can’t understand what is going on then it is time to find real experts who know what they are doing.
Obama is telling us now that cutting is not going to solve our problems and this is his way of saying that we need to raise revenue. Raising revenue is Democrat speak for raising taxes.
Half of the workers in this country pay more than enough in taxes. The other half pays little of no taxes to the federal government and many pay no taxes and get money from the government. This is total redistribution of wealth and it is what Obama thinks is just and fair.
How about we have a fair tax code that requires ALL workers to pay a portion of their income in taxes. Close the loopholes and make everyone who earns wages pay taxes. We will increase revenue and then the people who benefit the most from Democrat wealth redistribution plans will see that things are not free.
However, the most important thing we can do is cut the spending at the federal level. Obama promised to go line by line but all he has done is expand government. Cutting is the way to go and we need an ax not a scalpel.
The only revenue problem we have is that half the workers do not pay any of the revenue. The real problem we have is a spending problem and that is where we need real change we can believe in.

We can’t just cut way to prosperity
We damn sure cannot spend our way to prosperity…

Will There Be A Post Office Bailout?
Jun 22, 2011 Opinion
The postal service is a Constitutional item that is run by the federal government and it is run like a typical government bureaucracy, that is, there is a lot of waste and a lot of overhead and a lot of cost overrun. The kicker is that the postal service actually charges for its service and should, if run properly, be able to pay its bills. Unfortunately that is not the case. The postal service is billions in the red and has suspended its share of retirement contributions for its employees.
Will Congress and Barack Obama step in and bailout the postal service? The government already believes that it has the authority to force you to buy products. Obamacare mandates that we all buy health insurance and the Democrats stand by that generous and incorrect interpretation of the Commerce Clause of the Constitution. The Democrats assure us that health care is unique because everyone will, at one time in their lives, enter the health care system so it is OK, according to them, to make people buy insurance.
What would stop the Democrats from making the same argument about the postal service? Everyone at one point in their lives gets some sort of mail. What would stop Congress from forcing us to use the postal service or force us to buy a certain dollar amount of postage stamps each month? Maybe Congress will decide that in order to boost postal revenue all online bill paying activities must stop and people have to mail their bills in. Maybe they will take down the email contacts for all members of Congress and make us send them letters via the postal service.
It is not unreasonable to assume that the government could force us to use the postal system citing the Commerce Clause like it did with Obamacare.
I would not put it past them to step in and screw over the taxpayers in order to make the postal service solvent.
There is nothing that prevents the government from moving the postal service to the private sector. The Constitution says Congress has the authority to establish post offices and postal roads (which actually means they don’t have to but have the power to) but it does not say that Congress (or the government) must run the post offices and postal roads. Congress could establish the post offices under the private sector and let that company compete for business against other similar services. Congress would have oversight and a portion of the revenue could go to the Treasury.
In any event, I would not put it past the Democrats and their messiah to try to bailout the postal service by putting into place policies that would force people to use the service.
Let’s face it, we are losing more and more freedom so it is not hard to imagine this taking place.
Then again, perhaps they could start reducing the number of employees, increase the amount employees contribute to their pensions, force them to pay the same rate for insurance as the rest of the federal employees (contrary to popular opinion, federal employees pay quite a bit for their health insurance), and stop delivering mail on Saturday. They could also cut the number of post offices and consolidate routes. Greater efficiency would help the bloated system to be more solvent.
Then again, why do all that when Congress could force us to use them.
Be wary. The Socialists in our government would love to intrude even more into our lives.
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.
