Democrat Congressman Assaults Airport Worker

Congressman Bob Filner of California is in a bit of hot water after he got into a tussle with an airport employee. Evidently the Congressman’s bags were slower arriving than he thought they should be. He tried to enter an area that is for employees only and when an employee tried to stop him he pushed the employee.

It appears that this is not the first time Filner has had a display of temper and it might just land him in a little trouble because the employee fled charges. I am willing to bet that Filner’s people will be trying to bury this and get the airport worker to drop charges. They will work this person over to see that it gets “taken care of.”

I travel quite a bit (not as much as the Congressman) and I know that baggage is always delayed. It takes time to unload the plane and then load the stuff on the conveyor. Filner must have been pampered so much as a member of Congress that he felt the wait was unacceptable for a man of his position. So, the best thing to do is to take it out on some poor fellow who is trying to make a living. Filner is a jackass.

I am sure the employee did the right thing. If this guy had pushed me they would be referring to him as the late Congressman Filner. He would have been buried with his luggage firmly placed in his baggage chute…

If he did grab this person then that’s felony assault. Gee what a time for him to go on a road trip. I guess this will go the same way as McKinney did. Of course we would be in jail. Assualting a Police Officer and she gets more defensive? I’m sure like her he must be a special person. If he wanted his bag so fast why didn’t he carry it on with him?

Just courious did anyone every hear anything more about the Webb gun charge? Allen says something as a joke and gets kicked and the whacko has a gun in DC which is not allowed and it’s oh well. I bet his son feels real good at getting hung out to dry by Webb.

They all make me very ill.

I believe Webb finally fessed up to it being his gun and all charges were dropped against his aide; but no charges were brought against Webb. Go figure …

The article said that Filner was on his way to Iraq. I guess he was getting in the fighting spirit before he left so that he could come back and vote to cut and run…

Amazing, even retired PD can not keep their guns in DC. But Webb, Oh well. When your a dimwit and Bush hater I guess it’s ok.

As I sitting on the Key Bridge one Sunday morning going to work a hispanic male was brandishing a gun at me and other cars and I called and let them know about it in DC and VA because that was where he was heading. I didn’t know if he was going to shoot or not.

They didn’t see anything. When I got to work I let them know I didn’t see any of the PD cars either. Mind boggling.

This is similar to when the police beat up a girl at Reagan National Airport in DC. They assaulted this girl and gave her a serious brain injury and made her entire body black and blue. Then they arrested HER and charged her with a made up crime to cover up the police brutality. The airport police are supposed to be there to protect us from terrorists, not beat up and harass young women, mothers and Congressmen. I seriously doubt Congressman Filner, who devoted his entire life to public service and was on his way to visiting our troops in Iraq, assaulted anyone! Fly through Washington DC at your own risk.

Jenn, I guess time will tell. I think that since he has a history of outbursts it is not beyond reason that he tried to push someone out of the way. That is still assault.

I am not sure if he was really going to Iraq. Kind of convenient…
