Elizabeth Edwards Plays the Race Card

The wife of John Edwards was on Hardball with Chris Matthews and he asked why it was that Bush went right to Virginia Tech but did not get to New Orleans as quickly after hurricane Katrina. She said that it was because of race. She basically called George Bush a racist and said that white issues in America get attention but black issues do not. How this twit can make a statement like that given that there are black organizations for everything and the blacks have Sharpton and Jackson harping for them is beyond me.
Let me set it straight for this idiot, the Virginia Tech murders happened in a few hours and afterwards there were no dangers. Bush did not rush right in while the police and other responders were working. He waited until that had cleared and then he went to deliver his condolences. When Katrina hit there was disaster everywhere and there was pandemonium for days on end. The President said that he was not going right there because he would get in the way of rescue efforts.
It is important to keep in mind that black people failed the blacks in New Orleans and that more white people, as a percentage of population, died there. It is also important to remember that since people refused to leave and since their Democratic leaders abandoned them, they needed to be rescued. There were tens of thousands of helicopter rescues in the weeks following the disaster. I would venture to say that many of the rescue crews were white so are we to believe that the color of those being rescued was taken into consideration? I think not. This is just one more example of the left trumping up race charges in order to win seats. They are creating a racial divide where one needs not exist.
The people of New Orleans received BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars in violation of the Constitution. WE TAXPAYERS footed the bill and a lot of us are white. The President pledged that money and he is white. I am tired of hearing about this kind of crap. I guess next these idiots will want us to believe that the storm hit there because the area was largely black in population.
The aftermath of Katrina showed the failure of the welfare system where people had for years been so dependent on government that they did not know how to take care of themselves. It showed that the Democratic government in Louisiana was unprepared and left people to die. It showed that after years of Democratic corruption the city was ill prepared because money had been used illegally to support gambling interests and it showed that there was not plan. It showed us the Democrats there COULD NOT LEAD. Though, they were able to save their own asses.
Chris Matthews and Ms. Edwards should stop race baiting. They should be seeking the truth. If Matthews ever wants to discuss it he can talk to me and I will be happy to set his dumb ass straight. I will not play that yelling crap and if he thinks Zell Miller was tough, he crosses me and we will have a duel. This soldier will set him straight.
I guess when George Bush prayed for Edwards and sent his best wishes with regard to her cancer it was because she is white…

I guess all the homeowners whose homes were destroyed were black, then? Hurricane Katrina was able to distinguish between which homes were owned by whites and spared those? What a pile of crapola. My stepdaughter and her husband lived in St. Bernard Parish, a suburb of New Orleans for15+ years. They owned both a home and a small business, paid both for hurricane and flood insurance for the entire time and neither policy has yet to pay them a dime. Each claiming the other disaster is the cause of the total loss. 73,000 people lived in that parish and it’s uninhabitable now. Most were insured like my family. And the race of the the residents was evenly split and they ALL lost everything. Elizabeth Edwards is nothing more than a spoiled, rich bitch, stupid idiot. She knows nothing about America or Americans. I’m sorry about her illness and the loss of her child, but her bitterness is uncalled for, she still has much to be thankful for.
