Obama Says 57 States, If McCain Did This
by Big Dog on May 9, 2008 at 21:25 Opinion, Political
They would be attributing it to his age
B. Hussein Obama did something that no one else has ever done. He has visited an impressive 57 states! He is the only person in the world who has ever visited 57 of the United States and considering the fact that there are only 50 of them, that is quite a feat.
I am sure that he meant to say 47 states and it sure appears that way given the context. However, he said it and it is out there for everyone to see. If John McCain had made an error like this the nutroots would be talking about how senile he is and that he is too dangerous to have near the nuclear buttons.
The Kos kids would be hammering him as a demented old fool and say that this shows he is too old to be president.
So can we ask if Obama’s mind is gone, if his brain function is not good, if he is mentally sound enough to be president?
Yes we can…

Too late.

Not too late. The post was about how the left would question his sanity, his mental faculty if he made such a mistake. I was right, of course, as evidenced by the comments to the piece. Here is an example:
You guys had better quit pointing out how senile McSame is acting.
You’re going to piss the old coot off.
Did anyone use the word senile to describe Obama?
Dogmeat knows that McCain has made an error very like the error that Obama made. Yet he does not ask if McCain’s mind is gone, nor whether McCain is mentally sound enough to be president.
Dogmeat is the living embodiment of the obsession that wingnuts have with attacking Obama on non-policy issues. He is simply incapable of any serious discussion.

Meathead,
Let’s get one thing straight right off the start. You don’t come here and insult me and you don’t run the show. You want to play games at your site fine, I won’t tolerate it here.
You can do all that convoluted crap at your place but it won’t fly here.
The fact is, my post stated that if McCain made such a mistake the left would attack his sanity and discuss his age. I then made the point that since Obama made the kind of mistake can we ask about his sanity.
The post was all about how the left would act, not Obama’s sanity. This post is not an attack on Obama it was an attack on how they will be treated differently.
As for an obsession on issues, it depends on what you call the issues. In your post you call them economy, health care etc. To many people associations with others, feelings about the country and actions are issues as well. Michael Moore certainly made a lot of money off the left by selling what you would consider non issues as in Bush’s family ties to the Saudis and other items which have been debunked.
I certainly would have expected you to understand the meaning of the post because even though you are a complete jerk you seem to be a smart person. However, take great care in your responses because I will not tolerate the crap you sponsor over at your place.
There is a comment sitting in moderation from Meatbrain. It is full of the games that he plays at his site. I stated that I would not tolerate insults and that he does not run the show.
His first sentence is:
Dogmeat believes that he can dictate how others comment. He will find that he is incorrect on this.
I actually cannot dictate how others comment but I can dictate whether those comments see the light of day. I will not find myself incorrect in the fact that I can decide what gets published and what does not. I said that he will not come here and insult me and try to play the games that he plays at his sight.
Meatbrain thinks he can do what he wants at MY site. He will find that he is incorrect on this.
Ask Billy Troll if his stuff see the light of day. I never minded his opposing views, it was his name calling and abuse. He was warned but had no respect for the rules. My house, my rules.
Dogmeat is, quite simply, afraid of any discussion of policy issues. He much prefers — and in fact, is capable only of — focusing on trivia.
meatbrains last blog post..Wingnut blogs obsessed by non-policy issues in re: Obama
Untrue.
Discussion is fine. Your idea of discussion is name calling, berating, and abuse. That is not a discussion and quite honestly would never be tolerated in a face to face conversation. If you talked to me or many or the people who comment at your site, in person, as you do on the web you would get your teeth knocked out.
Since it is impossible to punch you in the mouth on the web you just get moderated.
If you want to discuss then discuss without the innuendo, abuse, and name calling. However, people are free to discuss what they see as issues. There are plenty of policies. If people are bothered by an issue then it is worth discussing. But it will not take place in the fashion that it does on your site.
“If you want to discuss then discuss without the innuendo, abuse, and name calling.”
This high-minded admonition is brought to you by the same Dogmeat that finds the following to be perfectly acceptable:
You are delusional. That is what happens when you take too many drugs.

I published this comment to allow people to read the other comments around what meatbrain wrote and how he attacked people. Everything written by me was in response to attacks by him on me or on my friends.
Once again, this is the kind of engagement that takes place at his site because he is abusive and attacks people. If he says the sky is green and you say it looks blue to me he will not say well we see it differently, he will say you lying lizard bit*h, you need to ask a third grader about colors.
I have given him plenty of time to be civil and to make a case or point or whatever but like at his site, his first instinct is to attack.
My responses are the only thing he understands. He is abusive and delusional.
Now, that is all the publicity he gets from here. He has gotten more face time today than he does in a week at his site.
He is now just trolling.
The ******* usually hangs out in the state of confusion, state of socialism, state of welfare, state of liberalism, state of leftist elitism, state of panic, and state of *******. Guess he can visit 57 states, at least seven are not on our state of the union list.
Good post, Brother.
BTW, what is up with meatbrain, he sounds like an angry liberal 🙂
Later Bro.

Why do you call Barack Obama “B. Hussein Obama”? Once can only infer from your choice that you are trying to stigmatize Obama for a name that he did not choose. How many children are born each year and find themselves saddled with a family name?
By trying to demonize Obama for his middle name, you are pushing a hateful line of bigotry that tries to make Obama an other, a foreigner, someone with a non-Western name. That’s appalling!
The only Americans who truly have “American” names are the Native Americans. Their ancestors have been in the Americas for over 20,000 years. The rest of the American population came here with the last 500 years.
Not too long ago, Americans with Irish surnames were treated as third class citizens. Eastern and Southern Europeans were considered a danger to Anglo-Saxon America. Many changed anglicized their names to fit in to avoid discrimination.
People like you are the reason why those immigrants had to change their names to protect themselves and their children from this kind of shameless bigoted attack.
P.S.
Saint McCain has experienced very little criticism. There are legitimate concerns about his relationships with lobbyists and campaign donors who benefited from his actions.
Similarly, some of Christians don’t think highly of a man who calls his wife a c-nt in public for joking about his hair loss. I don’t see how any good man, a gentleman, could say something like that about his wife at all especially not in front of a large group of strangers. That c-word is horribly hateful term to use against women.
I could never imagine Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush or George H.W. Bush ever using such language to describe their wives. Throughout the Reagan years, Ron and Nancy always presented the image of a loving, supportive couple. President Reagan was a gentleman who respected his wife and other women.
I don’t see anything wrong with using his full name. If he didn’t like it, he could always change it. I don’t believe using his name indicates or incites racism, people do that for themselves.
I think meatbrain has visited some of those other 7 states BD, state of delusion, state of insanity, state of stupidity, state of dementia…
“I published this comment to allow people to read the other comments around what meatbrain wrote and how he attacked people.”
Remember, kids: Whenever Dogmeat employs innuendo, abuse, and name calling, it is always someone else’s fault.
He is incapable of taking responsibility for his own actions.

Blake,
The same reason people insist on calling her Hillary Rodham Clinton. Why did he change from being called Barry to being called Barack?
Obama is another. He is a bigot, a racist, closeted but one none the less. As for names, don’t care. His parents gave him the name, we should be able to use it.
As for McCain. I don’t care for him either and I think we should have a do over. However, I agree with some of McCain’s positions and none of Obama’s or Clinton’s so I would rather have someone in office I have some common ground with than those with whom I have none.
Can meatbrain get any more childish and immature?
As for the whole “foreigner”, immigrant, and Native American thing people need to pull their head out of their arses.
First, if you look at history migrations that end up driving the “native” peoples out of prominence are quite frequent and common. The whole American & “Native” American thing is just one of the more recent. The Normans did it to the Saxons in England, there are numerous accounts during the Roman Empire. Were some pretty terrible and underhanded things done during that time? Sure, no question about it, but human beings have been treating each other poorly for thousands of years and the advent of the internet surely hasn’t done much for our manners, civility, and kindness to one another. Am I saddened by what happened to them? Yes. Do I have sympathy for them? Sure. I won’t apologize nor feel guilty for something I had no hand in, no control or influence over, nor should anyone else.
As for “racism” …please. People act like prejudice and bigotry only exists in America and is only practiced by whites in general and white males specifically. What a load of horse manure. There is prejudice and bigotry everywhere in this world. Black people are prejudice against people who aren’t black, and even other black people. Heck they are killing each other and committing horrible atrocities to each other over religion and tribal affiliation. Asians are prejudice and bigoted against non-Asians and other Asians who aren’t their nationality. Hispanics/Latinos are prejudice against non-Hispanic/Latinos and also have hatred and bigotry amongst themselves based on nationality and some other factors. The list goes on.
I don’t think bigotry, prejudice, or racism is right no matter who practices it and I don’t think people should get a free pass because they aren’t white. Barack Obama has gotten just that, a free pass to make remarks that coming from a white male would have ended his political career a long time ago.
As for McCain calling his wife a name, please provide a link to substantiate that statement. Also you don’t know their relationship, so who are you to judge? I’ve known people who joke with one another in such a manner but loved one another very much and though the words might be vulgar there is no maliciousness behind it. So provide the link to the sound byte please so I can hear it myself.
Blake I also find the fact that you have several sentences devoted to the man’s language where the real political concerns only get one fragment of a sentence very telling. Please don’t allow yourself to be so easily distracted by media fluff and stick to the real issues. I could care less if the man curses like a sailor when in private or around friends as long as he does his job well and when required deports himself in a dignified manner when representing this nation in public.

Good one June,
The MSM does not ignore anything Republicans do that can be embarrassing.
Of course given McCain’s age he would be more likely to say 13 colonies….
