Never Trust The Democrats

I remember when the Republicans were all full of bluster and said they were going to use the nuclear option to keep the then minority Democrats from screwing things up. Then they got together with Democrats and worked out a plan. I pointed out at the time that the plan benefited the Democrats and that they would not honor it. Within a week they were back to their old tricks and the Republicans would not put the screws to them. This would have been a justified move because Democrats were not fulfilling their obligations. I even commented at the time that if the shoe were on the other foot the Dems would screw the Republicans without thinking about it. Looks like the Dog is right again.
Stung by defeats at the hands of Republicans, Bella Pelosi has decided that she is going to change the rules so that the floor of the House will be shut down to Republicans. This is how the party of tolerance deals with people who are opposed to their ideas. They shut off debate and they change the rules to keep the minority silent. The Republicans will be screwed if the Democrats carry through with this. I realize that this is the House and the earlier issues were in the Senate but a stinking Democrat is a stinking Democrat and they will always screw over the opposition.
What this proves to me is that Pelosi is an ineffective leader who can not get things done. She has to use this method to accomplish things because she lacks any leadership ability. She is a disgrace to the Democrats (and that is saying something) and she is a disgrace to the many women out there who can lead effectively without throwing a hissy and getting their panties in a wad. Perhaps if Pelosi was not so busy trying to secure great deals for her husband she could lead that group of malcontents in the House.
Then again, probably not. Pelosi could not lead a group of people out of a burning building.
