No Wonder They Are Running From Health Care Takeover

When Democrats were ramming the health care takeover down our throats they kept telling us how wonderful it was going to be and that we would love it. Despite the fact that the majority of the public opposed the plan the Democrats were hell bent on ramming it through. Many of them claimed to be proud of health care and voted for it. At the time they made a big show of support and the bill signing was a spectacle.

Now that the election is near and Democrats are expected to take a beating, many of them are running from health care. It is hard to find one who claims to have supported it and none seem to be running ads telling us how great it is and how proud they were of their vote.

No wonder they are running away from health care.

Don’t fall for it. Make them pay for their arrogance.

Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Which Democrats are running from Healthcare and in what way? What role does Lincoln play in this? Her campaign was hosed the minute Boozeman entered the race and has little to do with health care.

On the other hand, FiveThirtyEight found healthcare to be the most mentioned subject on the websites of 23 of the 29 Democrats they examined that are likely to be on the ballot in November.

Those that aren’t emphasizing healthcare above all else in their their campaign are probably figuring that the voters care more about jobs…and rightfully so.

538, what scandal were they involved in? Seems I read something about them and something fishy.

Of course they found this. Did they investigate if these are in safe seats so they can mention it? The majority of them are running from it. They are telling us how they stood up to Pelosi blah, blah.

I love the way you spin this stuff when you know better. And Lincold was toast when she voted for the bill when her constituents said not to. END OF STORY.

Jobs, you make me laugh. If these morons in office cared about jobs they would have done something about it instead of going for health care and the other non job creating items. But didn’t stimulus create a billion gazillion jobs? HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

“538, what scandal were they involved in? Seems I read something about them and something fishy.”

You’d have to find that one yourself. I haven’t heard about it.

“Of course they found this. Did they investigate if these are in safe seats so they can mention it?”

Just proof you didn’t read the article. They state clearly that they were looking into races listed as toss-up. Did you even click the link this time? Try reading it first and then we can talk about it.

“The majority of them are running from it.”

Well, then surely you can name a few, right? I know some are of course but I’ll wait patiently for you to give us something to base your opinion that the majority are doing it.

“And Lincoln was toast when she voted for the bill when her constituents said not to. END OF STORY.”

The state is opposed to the healthcare bill but the vote was not a turning point for her support. In August 12, 2009 a poll inside the state already showed 60% said they would not vote to re-elect her if the election were held that day. The state has cooled on her in a big way and health care is one of many reasons but certainly not the number one reason.

The fact is Boozeman is a very popular Republican from the most conservative (and a very populous) part of the state. The minute he entered the race it was over for Lincoln.

“But didn’t stimulus create a billion gazillion jobs? HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA”

I sometimes forget how allergic you are to reality and informed opinion on the stimulus. But by all means continue to shout about how useless you think it was despite and growing number of actual economists who believe the stimulus improved conditions and saved millions of jobs from being lost.

    • Blake says:

Adam, it is only in your liberal mind that the stimulus actually worked.
I live in Texas, where the jobless rate is not nearly as bad as it is in some other places, but then we are not hamstrung by unions all over the place, like vermin- no, we are a right to work state, and we have our priorities set a little better than other places.
But if you take Bari at his word, there is a cabinet shop I know of that nets slightly over $250,000 BEFORE it pays the employees, and the man would like to expand, but he won’t as long as the tax situation is hanging over his head- he is not a fat-cat gazillionaire, but what he is experiencing is typical of many others in his same position.
Much like a shark, if you are in business, you have to keep moving or die on the vine- and that is exactly what will happen to many of these businesses- either that, or “amputate” some employees from the payroll, and that is just as bad.

  3. Big Dog says:

Right Adam, as if you actually have informed opinion especially on the stimulus. You parrot the stupidity of the people who are doing the same things that failed under FDR but allowed government to expand way beyond the boundaries of the Constitution.

Lincoln voted against her constituents too many times. Health care was the final straw and the people in that state realized they should never have sent her to DC.

I did not read the article. I rarely read anything from the NYT, it is a mouthpiece of the Democrats. And mentioning it? Really? So they mentioned it. Some challenged constituents and said it was a good start which is not what they said when they rammed it through. It was the best thing since sliced bread at the time. How many mentioned it in a way that gave the impression they were not happy with it ir that they were closer to constituents than they really were?

As fr reading it, get something worth looking at and we can discuss it.

538 was involved in the pollster ratings thing with Kos. Transparency and all.

The guys there are smart people but the place is billed as non partisan and that is not the case. Let them do their thing but saying health care was mentioned is not very helpful when how it was mentioned is the issue.

You see, WHAT they are mentioning is the important thing.

“You parrot the stupidity of the people who are doing the same things that failed under FDR but allowed government to expand way beyond the boundaries of the Constitution.”

Right, based on that revisionist 1930’s history that you’re always spreading around? It’s a pack of lies of course but you keep it coming.

“Lincoln voted against her constituents too many times.”

Well, that is not entirely true. She has a mix of conservative and liberals that backed her for two terms. Moderates are out these days though and so is she. We love our partisan divide.

“I did not read the article. … 538 was involved in the pollster ratings thing with Kos. Transparency and all.”

As far as I know you are incorrect and 538 actually was part of the investigation into Kos and the bogus polling they were sold. The group was not involved and has been recognized many times now for it’s non-partisan analysis of polling. There is no reason for you to think they are biased other than that they counter one of your view points.

But that’s the problem lately isn’t it?
Funny how every source I ever post now just goes in garbage bin for you these days. They are sources you’ve used yourself but when they run counter to your world view then they become useless to you and you smear them as biased.

If you’re trying to make this site a complete waste of time for anyone other than those who share your world view then you’re doing a great job. This is pathetic and you used to do things better.

      • Big Dog says:

As far as FDR, the only revisionist history is the progressive history that has sold it as successful. It was a disaster and it prolonged the depression in our country wen other countries were rebounding. There are plenty of actual historians who have written about how bad it was and people in his administration discussed all they did that cost money but dd not wok.

I might have the guys at 538 confused with someone else, if so my mistake. However, it is not a matter of they disagree with my view. It is one thing to say tat health care is MENTIONED so many times. How is it mentioned, where is it mentioned and does the website conflict with what they are saying.

Sorry Adam, it is not a matter of my world view or anything else. Not every source you provide goes intot he garbage bin. I do not read the NYT and I discount groups funded by Soros or left wing hacks and that is the bulk of your sources. You like to pick stuff that supports your view (understandable) and then say it is the ONLY source despite plenty of things presented to refute the information. Your point of view has always been that the source you provide is best and no one else’s is worth anything. Darrel does the same thing. (and cherry picks to do it).
