Obama Admits Liberalism Betrays America
by Big Dog on Aug 17, 2008 at 00:15 Political
Barack Obama and John McCain were at a pastor’s forum discussing different social issues and they had the opportunity to answer questions about their views on them. They discussed personal failures and answered questions about abortion and same sex marriage and civil unions. Obama punted the abortion issue. He gave the canned response about keeping abortion legal but reducing unwanted pregnancy. I guess to Obama it is OK to murder as long as we do it less often.
On one of the questions Obama basically said that the whole idea behind liberalism is wrong:
Obama was asked what he would say if he could say whatever he wanted and face no public repercussions. He answered, “solving big problems are not going to be easy. We are all going to think about how we using things [energy-wise]. If we pretend like everything is free, we are betraying the tradition of America. [emphasis mine]” CNN
Liberals always pretend like everything is free. They always feel free to tax the hell out of people in order to keep spending money that does not belong to them. Their blatant disregard for fiscal responsibility and the way they spend money shows that they act like it grows on trees. They are in favor of welfare (free money), taxpayer funded educational opportunities (free money), rebates to people who pay no taxes (free money), and earmarks for every person or group to whom they owe favors (more free money).
Because the Democrats always pretend like everything is free they are able keep their base flocking to them by giving more [free] money away.
According to Barack Obama, the Democrats are betraying the tradition of America.
Finally, he said something with which I agree.

Yeah, too bad it’s Bush who’s been spending the moeny we don’t have. At least taxing provides a reasonable and responsible method of making money to fund projects (such as unnecessary foreign wars). Bush just spends it and dumps it on the next president to worry about how to cover the cost. Because he sure as hell won’t tax the people who rape the average American, i.e. businesses that don’t pay income taxes, or shareholders in businesses that reap the profits of healthy economic conditions but get bailed out by taxpayers when they mismanage themselves into the ground (ahem, Freddie Mac) – yeah, Republicans know nothing is free, they just love to steal from average Americans to fund their big business crony pals.
But hey, maybe you yourself are one of these money-stealing morally-bankrupt country-killing criminals, and that’s why you’re so quick to spout this nonsensical drivel? Too bad your time is coming to an end. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Joe, unnecessary foreign wars? Maybe if we get hit again like on 9/11 that will refresh your memory and this war won’t be so unnecessary. It wasn’t well planned or thought out but defeating Islamic Extremeism is necessary. And for that matter, the money we are spending on giving all the illegals free everything is costing us more than the Iraq war. But you aren’t going to hear that from the MSM. And it is mostly the Democrats who want to keep handing illegals a free meal ticket. Just like they want to give everyone free healthcare and these two things alone are not reasonable and responsible projects, let alone all the other projects the Democrats want to fund with our hard earned dollars because their answer is more and more government to cure everyone’s ills in this country. It is a fine pipe dream for Mr. Hope and Change, but it is just that. And I believe it is a Democratically run Congress and Senate–so who bailed out Freddie Mac?
That’s not the Barry I knew…
Joe, far be it from me to correct the bad job of education the public school system did with you but President Bush (or any other president) does not spend money.
Congress appropriates the money. The president signs the bills but Congress is the one who appropriates all the money. They are the ones who decide what it goes to and how much to spend so blame Congress (both parties) for spending like money is free.
Paying for the military is a Constitutionally authorized expense. Social programs are not.
Most businesses pay income taxes, more than in most other countries. We have one of the highest tax rates.
Just so you will know taxes is not MAKING money. It is TAKING money. They do no work for it. We do the work, they just take it.
another site redesign? No archives. No contact page? What are we hiding from? Are we afraid of people finding out what you’ve been up to with this so called blog.Wouldnt want to have to answer to the truth would we?
Are you blind?
BD,
re: “…taxes is not MAKING money. It is TAKING money…” etc., someone recently (musta) slipped me some funny brownies, cos I had a ‘dream that Congress both grew some balls and discovered a moral imperative to abide by the Constitution (that congresscritters are pledged to uphold) and 90% of our “feddle gummint” created problems disappeared overnight…
David, You must need detox LOL 🙂
“Maybe if we get hit again like on 9/11 that will refresh your memory and this war won’t be so unnecessary.”
Victoria, ima let you in on a little secret sweetheart. Yeeeaaahh Baaaby. Those guys that hijacked those planes on 9/11 weren’t Iraqis. This has been well known for years now, but I’m happy to be the first to tell you.
“It wasn’t well planned or thought out”
Those damn details. Do you consider planning or “thinking things out” an important part of warfare? Just curious, as you seem to just gloss over these very costly mistakes.
“And for that matter, the money we are spending on giving all the illegals free everything is costing us more than the Iraq war.”
Can we get some #’s supporting your claim? I’d love to see them.
PEACE
Bunny Colvin, I would be glad to provide you with some numbers. I never said those guys who hijacked those planes were Iraqis and don’t call me baby, just like you asked me not to call you Mr. Bunny Colvin. Thank you very much.

I can’t seem to get my comment through.
Perhaps because it composed entirely of bullshit?
PEACE
Well that was some of the numbers, but I can’t seem to get all of them to post. They all add up to $338 billion dollars according to the stats.
Don’t call me baby or sweetheart just like you asked me not to call you Mr. Bunny Colvin.
numbers like that make me mad as all hell being a disabled American born person who could use some of that help for him self and his family . It makes me sick that so much of the money I paid in taxes goes not to help Americans but to criminals. See if you did not come here legally then that is just what you are a criminal a thief and your stealing from me and my family and my fellow Americans. I am all for helping out any one who wants to come here legally and fallow the rules it is the illegal that I have trouble with and always will. To me round them up ship them out and return American to Americans and the legal immigrants.
