Obama Is Looking For A Few Good Snitches
by Big Dog on Aug 5, 2009 at 04:54 Political
The propaganda machine at the White House is in full gear as it tries to put a positive spin on the recently released video of Obama (and several other Democrats) saying that they wanted a single payer system of health care. Obama is seen telling his union buddies that this is what he wants. The video was on the Drudge Report and contained excerpts from several speeches which showed how Obama really feels. He wants a single payer system.
The White House ministry of propaganda put out a video today in which Linda Douglass tells us that the same people who always spread rumors to stop health care reform are busy splicing together things that take Obama out of context. Breitbart, the site that posted the original video, responded by posting the uncut quote from Obama. In that clip he clearly states he is in favor of single payer:
“I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program. I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its Gross National Product on health care cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody. And that’s what Jim is talking about when he says everybody in, nobody out. A single payer health care plan, a universal health care plan. And that’s what I’d like to see. But as all of you know, we may not get there immediately. Because first we have to take back the White House, we have to take back the Senate, and we have to take back the House.” [emphasis mine]
I don’t know how the ministry of propaganda will spin this because it is the entire, uncut version and Obama says he is in favor of a single payer system. He says that they might not get there immediately because they need to take over the White House and the Congress (which they now have control of). There is no doubt what Obama said and what he means. His propaganda minister tells us that Obama has said he is not for a single payer system and since he has said so we should believe him. He also said he DID want single payer so which version of Obama should we believe.
My money is on the version that gets us closer to Socialism.
In the White House video Linda Douglass tells us that the Obama Administration needs us to spy on our neighbors and report them:
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov. Stop The ACLU [emphasis mine]
Since Obama’s SS Troopers are not up and running the government cannot keep an eye on all of us at the present so they are asking that you report anyone who opposes the health care plan. If you see something that seems fishy report it so they can send the jackbooted Obamabots over to rearrange your dental work.
Perhaps Obama was trying to intimidate people into accepting his plan. Not gonna happen. I am not intimidated by him or any other employee of mine in elected office. Obama works for me not the other way around. Any of you libtards out there who want to tell him I said so, the email address is above.
As for the request to report fishy stuff, I think I will comply with that. I will be reporting each time a member of Congress or Obama tells me something about the plan. For instance, when these morons tell us it will not cost more money, that is fishy because it is a down and out lie. Nothing the government does is cost neutral or involves savings because Congress is full of people who have no business experience. Most of them have never held a real job and they do not know what fiscal responsibility is.
So folks, if you want to help Obama get a handle on this health care thing remember to email him each time he or a member of Congress says anything about the plan because whatever they say will be fishy.
For those of you who think the request for neighbors to report neighbors is no big deal, remember what the Nazis did. They asked people to report on who the Jews were. We know what happened to a lot of Jews.
And no I don’t think that could happen here (though Obama might think he could pull it off) because the people he would have to go after are all the Second Amendment adherents.
Remember when the black community was saying that Obama was not black enough, or that he acted white? Maybe they were on to something. He is asking for people to snitch which means he must not have seen the Stop Snitching video.
He better be thankful he is from Chicago or his street creds would be shot to hell.
Points to remember; Obama wants a single payer system and he voted against health care reform nearly 10 times when he was a Senator. It is not about health and it is not about care. It is about control of your life.
One other thing to keep in mind. If the video was insignificant and full of lies the White House would not have needed to respond. The fact that they had a video up in less than 24 hours shows that they know Obama has been caught in a lie and they are trying to change the perception by claiming it is a bunch of right wingers who manipulate the truth and exercise creative editing. How will they explain the entire, uncut, quote?
Hat tip to STACLU (idea to email the White House with its own lies)

Does anyone else feel the winds of Marxism? Next, they will have the teachers tell their students to inform on their parents.
I guess the gulags are next.
Wonder why anything that does fall inline with The Republican thought process is labeled, Marism, Socialism, or Unamerican. Seems the Repubs said, You’re either for me or against me. If your against me you’re unpatroitic. A good American would support the President. Where’s President Obama’s support? After all he is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
As you libs said about the war, you support the troops but not the war. We support Obama just not his policies. And the Republicans did not say what you attributed to them. They told foreign nations that they were with the US or against the US.
The things that are labeled Marxist, Socialist or un-American are called that because they are that.
Is he?
This is about the Constitution- that is our thought process here- turning your friends and neighbors in is a chilling detriment to free speech, isn’t it, Paula? And this is from your side, not ours.
A good American does not BLINDLY support anyone, but asks critical questions, the first of which should be, “Is it Constitutional?” If the answer is yes, then one might ask, “Is this good for our country?” If the answer to that is yes, then the question should be, “Do we/ can we afford it?”
If the questions survive those questions, then we can debate whether we need this or not, but this Healthcare bill does not pass the first of these questions, much less the rest of them.
As far as supporting the PRESIDENT, as you put it- did you support Bush? If not, you are being a hypocrite, a word the left seems not to recognize when it applies to them.
A government run VA healthcare plan, A government run medicare plan, and a government run plan that members of Congress enjoy. Wonder why it’s okay for the government to run these healthcare plans..which incidently receive good satisfaction reviews and whose cost increase at a slower rate than private insurance….but it’s not okay for the rest of America to have the same quality and affordable healthcare. Wonder why these programs don’t seem to fall under Socialism…after all they are government run.
Well Paula, these systems do not run well. Ask any veteran about the VA and Medicare hides administrative costs. If it ran efficiently it would not be spending more than it takes in.
Medicare is paid for through payroll deductions and is partly socialistic because people who paid little or nothing receive care but some folks actually paid. The VA is not Socialism because veterans had to pay with blood, sweat and tears to ge eligible to use it.
Paula
which incidently receive good satisfaction reviews
What? Walter Reed is the VA crown Jewel. Good satisfaction reviews?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Reed_Army_Medical_Center_neglect_scandal
I have to partially defend WRAMC. They are under BRAC and one of the buildings was not theirs. They are not supposed to spend money when they are going away.
The care is great, the administration and red tape is what causes the problems. Most veterans get good care (until they get real old – sound like a plan we are hearing about) but they wait forever and they have to deal with lots of red tape (sound like a new plan going around).
Big Dog, I was just refuting Paula’s claim of good reviews. Also, feds = red tape.
Congress enjoys a PRIVATE plan, actually they have a choice of 10 to choose from- they will not use the plan they want for us.
Medicare and Medicaid are BROKE- this is why government run health care sucks, Paula- and as for the VA,well, you do not have someone you know who has experienced their delays in care, have you?
It’s not a pretty sight.
Incidentally, Medicare will be GONE when 500 million dollars are ripped out of their budget as Hussein has promised.
How can they argue that there is DISINFORMATION out there? No one – NO ONE knows what the final bill will entail. NO ONE can say that ANY DISCUSSION is disinformation at this point.
This melding of activist campaign machine and governing is a very, very bad thing.
OBAMACARE is a CONCEPT, an IDEA at this point in time – how is asking questions, pointing out discrepancies and simple realities spreading disinformation? How is showing Obama’s speech of a couple years ago spreading disinformation when it is his own words? And how can anyone be spreading ‘disinformation” when the bill has not been written yet? There are so many details to be worked out and discussion is what it is all about. Because it MAY be a bad idea – and that’s all it is right now – AN IDEA.
Obama wants you to turn people in for DISCUSSING an IDEA.
This is insane.
Oh I know Mike and I know you are correct. I wanted to make sure that the care vs administration was pointed out.
You are absolutely correct and refuted Paula’s claim.
Everyone needs to turn themselves in- how are they going to handle that? Overload the system- it is what the libtards would do if the situation were reversed.
I’ve been forwarding all the spam I get. Crash the server!
Maybe we could keep sending the video they put out as well as the bill. That should be big enough to bog things down.
Send it ALL, and send it now- crash the server. I am thinking of sending a xerox of my butt- that should do it- it’s not a pretty sight.
I just have a couple of questions for you:
1) What’s inherently wrong with a single-payer system? Wikipedia states that “Single-payer health care does not mean that the government or some government agency delivers or commissions health care services. The single payer may pay for health professionals and services that are delivered in either private or public sector settings according to the needs and wishes of the patient and his or her doctor.” (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-payer_health_care)
And just because Obama came out and said that he favors a single-payer system does not mean that that’s the system that we will adopt. It just means that he’s given the debate some thought and that’s where he, as a person, stands on the issue. If you disagree with him, that’s your prerogative. What’s your solution? Or do you think that our current system works just fine?
2) Do you have a source for your claim that “Congress is full of people who have no business experience. Most of them have never held a real job and they do not know what fiscal responsibility is”? Because I have difficulty believing that that’s true, but I’d be willing to capitulate if you can prove it.
3) While I admit that the comments by Linda Douglass regarding reporting fishy health care information is alarming, especially because it does bring to mind the Stasi of former-East Germany and the KGB of Russia, I fail to see a strong connection between that and “Obama is the new Hitler”. Obama has never indicated in any way that he is anti-semitic, nor that he believes in eugenics. In fact, all evidence points to the fact that he genuinely cares about the well-being of the citizens of the United States, and before that, his constituents in Illinois.
A single payer system takes money from people who make it and spends it on people who do not. We should not be required to pay for the health care (or most anything else) of others. If we have single payer then insurance companies go out of business and there is no competition. There is little now because of government rules.
I do not believe what we have is OK and that is the straw man argument used by Obama. The only choices are his way or what we have. He voted against about 10 bills that would have made things better.
What we can do. Allow people to shop for insurance across state lines. Not allowing this creates monopolies that raise the costs in a state because there is less competition for your dollars.
Stop the mandates about what has to be in a plan. There should be about 5 basic items covered which would meet basic needs. It makes no sense to have 60 items you are paying for if you will not use most of them. Why should a single male pay for abortion or OB/GYN? Why pay for aroma therapy if you do not believe in it? Why pay for drug and alcohol abuse counseling if you don’t use either of them. People can add these services as needed and pay more for them.
Provide doctors a tax credit for each uninsured person they see. The uninsured can go to the doctor and be seen and the doctor will get a tax credit for seeing that person. This will provide a service and a benefit.
There are a number of things and I have written about them before. Government does not belong in these businesses.
As for Obama, he attended functions for Middle Eastern people where Jews were mocked and he laughed. His actions toward Israel have called his motives into question.
If Congress knew what fiscal responsibility was we would not be in debt. How many have been there for decades? Some of these people have spent nearly all of their adult lives in elected office.
as to #3- all you have to do is google John Holdren, one of ussein’s “Czars”, and you will have part of your question on eugenics answered- but you should also look up writings by Margaret Sanger, the mother of Planned Parenthood, to further your education.
as for #2- look up how extensive some of those people have been in Congress- Biden has been in for thirty- six years, Barney Frank almost as long- the list goes on. They could not have had very much in real world experiences. Most of Barama’s Czars come straight from universities, where, once you have tenure, you have a job it is truly hard to screw up, and it is hard to call that real work- no wonder they never grow up into a real- world view.
Megan- regarding eugenics, go here. This is Hussein’s Science Czar
