Obama Will Give Amnesty And You Will Pay For It

Not to long ago nearly the entire Congress, John McCain included, tried to ram an amnesty package down our throats. That package would have given million of illegals a path to citizenship by largely ignoring the fact that they committed a crime to get here. The country went nuts and flooded the switchboards at the Capitol and the legislation went down in defeat.
More than 80% of this country opposed the idea of allowing illegals a pathway to citizenship that amounted to nothing more than amnesty. Now, a large portion of that opposition is prepared to elect a man who has stated that he wants to give the illegals a pathway to citizenship. Barack Obama is in favor of allowing millions of people to become citizens and thus gaining the right to vote. Obama will put politics ahead of country and allow millions of Democratic supporters to infiltrate our voter rolls and change the dynamics of politics for generations to come.
Under Barack Obama these new “citizens” will turn Texas into a deep blue state and it will take many of the other southern states with it. Traditional Republican strongholds will be infiltrated by millions of people eager to keep the party that gives away taxpayer money in power. This will spell disaster for the Republican party but more importantly, it will spell disaster for our country. Millions of people will flood government offices for Social Security benefits, medical care, and any number of other taxpayer funded social programs thus evaporating already scarce resources.
People need to wake up and see what is happening. Obama’s open secret is that he believes in Socialism. He told that to Joe the Plumber and said it in 2001 during an interview. Barack Obama believes that wealth in this country should be taken from people who earn it and given to those who do not. His idea of Utopia is wealth redistribution and no matter how Joe Biden tries to spin it and no matter how his supporters try to ignore it the plain fact is, the words came out of Barack Obama’s mouth.
If it isn’t bad enough that Obama is willing to give taxpayer money out like candy at Halloween, the government wants to confiscate more of your money in order to redistribute it to others. There is a plan being bounced around to force you to move all of your 401 (k) retirement money into government accounts. The plan will either involve putting it in a different pool or adding it to “your” Social Security fund which is a misnomer because the money goes to the general fund where Congress takes it and spends it. To top it off, government will require you to contribute 5% of you pay to the fund thus taking more of your money to redistribute.
This plan, which was discussed by some economist, involves redistribution of wealth. She said that it would give everyone an equal share (wealth redistribution). This is money that you have worked for and that you have invested in different accounts that, despite current problems, will do well for you. The government will require you to pool all the money you saved with the money of others and then the government will decide who gets how much of it. If you have $100 and someone else has $50, you both get $75. In other words, Obama and the Democrats will redistribute $25 of your money to someone else.
If Barack Obama becomes the president and allows millions of illegals to become citizens they will be standing in line with their hands out waiting for you to hand them the money you saved for your retirement.
I have said before that Social Security was a method used by the government to gain and keep control over people. They hold Social Security hostage in order to influence the lives of the elderly and the way they vote. They keep people dependent on government so that the government can control the population. Allowing them to take your retirement will ensure that instead of retiring and living the life you worked hard to achieve, you will live the life government decides you should live.
That, my friends, is nothing more than Socialism and it starts with Barack Hussein Obama.
Polling agencies have been using inaccurate methods based on unrealistic projections and Obama is continually reported to have a big lead. The race is much closer and this is evident by several things. One, Gallup used the traditional polling method in its last poll and Obama only has a 2% lead. Obama is reported to have a 10% lead in Pennsylvania and yet he and Biden are spending huge amounts of time and resources in that state. If their internal polls showed the 10 point lead the external polls show they would be campaigning in other, more closely contested states. The fact that they are spending all that time in a state they are shown as winning easily speaks volumes about how close this really is. Last night’s Rasmussen polls showed Obama with no larger than a 4% lead in any battleground state. The pollsters do not want to be wrong on this so now they are reverting back to the proven methods and those methods are showing a very tight race.
Don’t let the intentional deception of the last few weeks keep you from voting. John McCain and Sarah Palin can win this election but they will need all of us who oppose Socialism to go out and vote. No matter what the weather is like, no matter what else is going on, no matter what you hear, you must get out and vote. If all the people who oppose illegal aliens getting citizenship and those who oppose Socialism as well as gun owners (those of us who cling to them) get out and vote we can defeat Obama.
They have told us what they want to do. They want to increase taxes, make illegals citizens, spend 300 billion dollars more on a stimulus package, ban guns, and cut military spending by 25%. Barack Obama has told us he wants to spread our wealth around. We can stop that by getting out and voting.
But if you vote for Obama or if you sit this one out, don’t say you weren’t warned because they told us what they will do to us and if they control Congress and the White House that is exactly what they will do.
Your money will no longer be yours and Karl Marx will be laughing from the pits of Hell.

Using projections from so-called “safe states” Obama has about 230 ECV in theory. He’s campaigning in places like PA because his campaign doesn’t live or die based on OH and FL like in past elections. He doesn’t want to take a chance so he’s trying to close the deal in PA for sure and then depend on a combination of smaller states like CO, NM, and VA to push him over 270. Then OH and FL would just be bonus if he can secure the states.
At this point McCain needs pretty much every battleground state to break his way and for all of the state by state polls to be incorrect projections.
I want to go out on a limb and say that’s a pretty tough way to win at this point. Nothing is certain until the vote is counted but you have to like your chances if you’re pulling for Obama at this stage in the game.
One idea I keep hearing is that McCain lead Bush in the last few weeks and still lost. This isn’t true. Numbers broke Bush’s way in the last 4 weeks of the 2004 election and it translated to a Bush win.
I’d like to say I’m shocked but I’m not. So many people have stated their concerns about illegals, about securing our borders, about misuse of funds. This is what the people want yet they do not get it. The only reason dems want the illegals to get a “path” to citizenship is so that they can horde their votes. Illegals should be penalized by immediate deportation and confiscation of all their property. The government could then auction that stuff off and add that to the money rather than tax us further for benefits for people who do not belong here. Illegals are a constant and heavy burden on our society and everyone knows it. Saying we should give them amnesty because they’re here and have been here for a while is like saying that we should let serial killers off because they have already been doing it for a while, so let’s just give them a pass.
I’m also disgusted by the mere mention of tax increases. It’s proven that lowering taxes on both businesses and individuals is what provides economic growth and development. BO does not want economic growth and meritorious prosperity, he wants to spread hard-earned dollars from the working class to the dependent welfare class. I’m sick of hearing it and I can’t believe anyone with a mind can hear the phrase “redistribution of wealth” and not want to run like hell from this man. He chastised the Court because they didn’t use the civil rights movement to redistribute wealth at that time. Wonder who he wanted to redistribute the wealth to?
As far as I’m concerned, if BO wins this election those of working hard for a living are going to be the ones to suffer. He is already encouraging people to take off on election day to volunteer and help him win, that is going to be his basic theme. Don’t work, let others do it for you and I’ll give you a share of their money. Nice.
Kerry lead Bush I mean, not McCain lead Bush.
Vxnschatzee:
The problem with the topic of what to do with illegal immigrants is the conversation is often laced with illogical and biased statements.
First of all there is a huge difference between amnesty and a path to citizineship. We need a smart debate about this and to come up with a good solution that factors in the moral values of our country and all economic factors involved, not just the supposed burden on our society.
Secondly, there are many reasons for a path to citizenship, all of which are debatable of course, but to say it’s for the vote alone isn’t accurate. Hispanics are a small population in the US of which nearly half voted for Bush and Bush would have lost without it. It wouldn’t be a factor in this election if anti-Hispanic sentiment hadn’t been whipped up in the last few years under the guise of concern of illegal immigration.
Third, you’re comparing illegal immigrants, most of which are working individuals who pay income taxes for the work they do and simply want a better life for themselves and their families, to serial killers? Get real. You’re poisoning the well with rhetoric like this.
We don’t have to agree on what to do but can we at least not make arguments based on personal bias against illegal immigrants alone instead of taking into account the complexity of the situation? It’s not really doing anybody any good and in a way this only makes it worse.
The DEMS are whores for any vote. They are thieves, evil and should be thrown out of this country which they don’t deserve to live in, The illegal immigrants, many of which are as criminal as the DEMS themselves, should be thrown out of this country ASAP. They are leaches on society and hard working people, which doesn’t include the baby-killing DEMS
I have a plan. Build a wall on the border. Post armed guards there while it is being built (better yet, use the illegals as labor to do it). Once the wall is built offer illegals the opportunity to go home after they spend time in jail for breaking the law.
However, any illegal who joins the military and goes to Iraq or Afghanistan and serves honorably will have his crime forgiven and be able to become a citizen.
If they are only here to make a better life then they need to provide something in return.
And…They consume more than they produce, large numbers pay no taxes (under the table money), and they are a burden on our social structure.
In order to pay taxes you need a SSN or TID which can only be obtained by people here legally. If they are using one then they have broken mor elaws.
You get more of what you reward and if we reward them for breaking the law more of them will come. We have seen that with the last two amnesties in which we were promised that there would be no more need for amnesty in the future and that it would solve the problem. it did not and we got more of them.
Adam, the moral values of our country involve respect for the law. When your first act here is breaking the law, you have no respect.
And, the Hispanic vote will make a big difference in many states. Texas will turn ans will many others along the South.
Yes, respect for the law is essential. But it’s not like the average American has never broken any law, never been caught speeding, got a parking ticket, or something of that nature. Why the righteous indignation towards illegals? Not every crime committed gets you jail time. Why do illegals need to do jail time when a fine will do?
I just hold with those who say we can beef up the border and offer incentives for coming forward out of the dark and on a path to citizenship. Obviously the criminals and those who fear the government won’t come forward ever, but a large portion of the law (other than the border crossing) abiding illegal immigrants would come forward.
The military idea is good too. I’m sure you can say more on the subject but that’s always been a good accelerated path to citizenship for immigrants not to mention a jumping off point for a future career.
Don’t discount the number of illegals paying taxes. Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers can be been assigned to folks who don’t have a SSN and the number of filings with the ITIN is in the 2-3 million range though they don’t know how many of those are illegals. Yes, they do use false SSN sometimes. The Social Security Admin doesn’t know for sure the exact number of illegals that pay taxes or exactly how much tax money it is, but they estimate as many as three quarters of illegals pay taxes.
You speak of laws that are broken by AMERICAN citizens. They break the law and are held accountable.
There is a difference between speeding or illegal parking and entering illegally.
We don’t have the same punishment for those crimes and someone who breaks into your home. That is what illegals are doing.
How do we expect them to follow the rules now when they did not follow the rules to get in. Actually, I would rather not jail them unless they committed some other crime. I would rather deport them and bar them from applying for citizenship for 5 or 10 years. We need to be tough or people will continue to skirt the system in order to benefit from the next amnesty program.
Maybe 75% of those working pay taxes but not all of them here are working. They use more resources than they pay for and they have many family members who do not work.
Show me information on what resources they use more than they pay for.
Also where do you find a poll showing 80% of folks in the country opposed the idea of allowing illegals a pathway to citizenship?
Here are the only recent polls I could find on the matter:
ABC News/Facebook poll. Dec. 16-19, 2007. N=1,142 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3. Fieldwork by TNS.
“Would you support or oppose a program giving illegal immigrants now living in the United States the right to live here legally if they pay a fine and meet other requirements?”
49% support, 46% oppose, 5% not sure
Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg Poll. Nov. 30-Dec. 3, 2007. N=1,245 registered voters nationwide. MoE ± 3.
“One proposal that has been discussed in Congress would allow illegal immigrants who have been living and working in the United States for a number of years, and who do not have a criminal record, to start on a path to citizenship by registering that they are in the country, paying a fine, getting fingerprinted, and learning English, among other requirements. Do you support or oppose this, or haven’t you heard enough about it to say?”
60% support, 15% oppose, 25% not sure
CBS News/New York Times Poll. May 18-23, 2007. N=1,125 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3 (for all adults).
“If you had to choose, what do you think should happen to most illegal immigrants who have lived and worked in the United States for at least two years? They should be given a chance to keep their jobs and eventually apply for legal status. OR, They should be deported back to their native country.”
62% Chance to Keep Jobs, 33% be deported, 5% unsure
In a Gallop survey they found similar answers:
“Givn these three options, the majority of Americans, 59%, support the government allowing illegal immigrants to remain in this country and eventually become U.S. citizens if they meet certain requirements.”
I haven’t seen any recent poll showing a lack of support for a path to citizenship. They support a common sense approach to illegal immigration which says that we can’t just deport them because that plan is too complex, against many of our morals, and just generally a bad idea.
Good job adam,
And big dog, your name suits you perfectly!!
Big Dog – double standard much?

(referring to this link, not your post, which is right on, by the way)
MsWA, I think I called that one. As soon as someone hangs an Obama effigy, it is a disgrace and there is no place for it.
You are right, double standard.
Adam:
Opinions Are Strongly Opposed
GALLUP NEWS SERVICE June2007
opposition outweighs support by a four to one margin among those who do have an opinion. Among those who say they are following news of the immigration bill most closely, opposition is at the 80 % level. There are only minor differences between Democrats and Republicans in terms of views of the bill. Independents are most likely to be opposed.
Vitter added that their vote does not mean they are anti-immigrant, and to suggest that the 80 percent of Americans who opposed the bill are racist “I think itself is the height of ugliness and arrogance.” Fox
The questions of the polls are designed to get a certain response and there were many news stories showing that about 80% were opposed to the bill.
The large majority supported securing our border FIRST before we decided what to do. That was not one of the questions in these polls.
At the state and local level, illegal immigrants already cost more in public services such as education and health care than they pay in taxes, the Congressional Budget Office reported recently. USA Today
Hi Adam – first of all I want to address one of your comments directly regarding moral treatment of these criminals. How come liberals are the first to argue that we cannot legislate morality when it comes to abortion or the death penalty but now that it works in your favor we want to use morality to make decisions. You can’t have it both ways. The fact is that both illegals and serial killers (some even qualify for both of these titles, go figure) have committed crimes for a length of time without penalty and should not be allowed to just go about their business because they have managed to escape detection all this time.
Illegals in certain areas put a great strain on hospitals as well as schools for a number of reasons, the first of which is their absolute disdain for learning our language and respecting our country. I don’t have any problems with people of different backgrounds so I don’t consider my thoughts to be biased, just common sense. What I do feel is that people who come here legally should be given all the rights and freedoms that we, as born citizens, enjoy. Anyone found here illegally should be treated without regard to these laws and rights because they are not entitled to them.
There are ways for people to become citizens. The current ideology of immigrants is that they are entitled to become citizens and they expect it. That’s not the case – just because they are here does not make them citizens and should not entitle them to a pathway to citizenship. The path should lead back to their home country from which they can take the steps to legal citizenship showing their allegiance to our country and their desire to respect our laws from the very beginning. Not as an afterthought.
We could save some serious money by no longer offering bilingual teaching and education. If you want your children to learn English, then pay for it yourself. They do that with driver’s education – they can do it with English. My tax dollars should not go towards paying for illegal immigrant children to learn to speak the language of this country. They should be speaking English before they enter school or not admitted.
I know some of these things are harsh and not nice things to do but our country is going to hell by trying to be so nice and politically correct. Once again, personal responsibility and respect for self and country are the major points. Not just where the people come from and how they got here.
Yup, you called it – we knew you’d be right but thought you’d like the proof 😉
Adam. You asked if the average American broke the law speeding etc. Got caught is the key words. The illegals should be caught and deported. That is the punishment for being here illegal. I paid the fine set by our laws so should the illegal. You just want to give them a free pass. You pay their way and take care of them.
MsWA,
It is great that it happened so quickly…..
Do any of you actually have any idea what people from other countries need to go through in order to come here legally???? If you did you mihght have some understanding as to why so many are illegal. I am by no means condoning coming here illegally but I am in the midst of applying for my husband to come here and as an American citizen it is quite overwhelming as well as exhaustive. I can’t imagine what it is like for someone from another country who does not speak English nor understand some of what is required to come legally might go through to do it the right way. Most of the time even when they try to do it the right way the visa is denied. Many more illegals are not bad people. Lets say your mom and dad were sick and you and your family did not have the money to have them live out the rest of their life with dignity. You decide to apply for a visa to the US so as to work and send money back to provide for their graceful ( to say the least) death. You were denied the vise – twice. Now what????
Diane, the fact that it is hard or people are denied does not make it right for them to break the law no matter why they want to come.
It is tough to get a business loan but it being tough or being denied one is not a reason to rob the bank.
Sometimes the answer is no. And it is hard to get in here legally, it should be.
Really how easily would you take a visa denial from where ever it is that you’d want to go in this world. As a United States citizen we do not know the feeling of being denied going anywhere our hearts desire. I never said that it was right for them to break the law. The system is very frustrating. They make those from other countries jump through hoops of fire to come here. How many hoops would you or have you ever jumped through to go anywhere??? And getting a business loan is probably far easier to get than a visa from some other country. Do you have any experience with the system and the paperwork that it requires???
Also, why should it be hard to get in here?? I just came back from an international trip and it was not difficult for meto arrange that trip by any means so why should it be hard to come here??
It should not be so easy that people fill out a paper and come in. They need to be vetted to ensure they are not criminals or gang members or any number of other problems. They should be checked to ensure they are not carrying diseases that would cause problems or cost us a fortune when they start getting health care here.
It has to be a difficult process. I don’t think it should take years but it should not be done in a day. If it is that easy then those who want to do us harm could come in unfettered and wage war from within. 9/11 hijackers got in easy.
I totally agree with you – wholeheartedly – 100% but the fact remains that it does take years and that is just wrong.
Well, I never said it should take forever, only that it should be hard rather than easy. Yes, it should not take years without very good reason.
I have worked on the paperwork and I know it is extensive and cumbersome but such is the price of liberty. We can travel many places as we wish but your liberties are further restrained in those locations not to mention if you wanted to become a citizen of such country it may be a different story.
I’m not saying it should be impossible and I don’t believe us against illegal immigration are without sympathy for those wishing to come here for legitimate reasons – to truly live the American dream. Then they need to learn the language and customs, go through the legal process, and pledge their allegiance to our country before they should be even considered for entrance here for permanent residency. Further, I don’t think anyone new legal citizen should be eligible for any governmental benefits whatsoever for a period of time (say five years) after their legal entrance and becoming a naturalized citizen.
This is a free country but our freedoms are not free. They come with a price that our forefathers have paid and those wishing to come here should know that this was not an easy job and understand how things work BEFORE they start coming through the gates, so to speak. Freedoms and rights come with responsibility including the responsibility to follow the law, regardless of how long and arduous it makes the road you are on.
What an Bullshit, those illegal getting legal, than they can pay tax. And none of them will live on someone elses back.
You guys should really take those KuKuxClan Hads of….
