Obama Wins The Presidency
by Big Dog on Nov 5, 2008 at 00:27 Political
I was working on this post before Obama had officially won though his victory was inevitable. Then he was declared the winner and John McCain conceded. I listened to the concession speech John gave and it was graceful and eloquent. John said that his former opponent was now going to be his president and that he [John]would have the honor of continuing to serve this country. John had to be gracious, I don’t.
I have stated in several posts that if Obama won then, as an American, he would be my president and I would pray that he led us well and did a good job. I hold true to that but I cannot support him or his ideas. I do not believe that government is the keeper of my brother. I do not believe Americans should be disarmed. I do not believe in globalization. I do not believe in liberalism and I do not believe in socialism or the redistribution of wealth. I don’t believe that government or its surrogates should attack private citizens as we saw with Joe the Plumber and the black panthers. I swore to protect this country against all enemies foreign and domestic and I believe that Barack Obama is a domestic enemy. I will do everything possible to ensure he does not bring his visions of America to fruition.
To my liberal friends, congratulations on your victory. I hope you are not hypocritical when your guy receives the criticisms you so eagerly and viciously leveled at George Bush. I can’t wait to see how you cover for him when he does the same things Bush did. I can’t wait to see how you attack people who are less than kind to Obama considering how you treated Bush.
I also hope you don’t mind a few I told you so’s along the way because Barack Obama will set us on a bad path. Hitler and Castro promised change and we know how that worked out. While Obama will not exterminate Jews he will sign legislation and appoint judges that guarantee the unborn will be murdered for any reason and at taxpayer expense. More unborn children have been killed in the abortion Holocaust than Jews died in Germany and under Obama that number will only grow. Unfortunately, Obama will not stop at the unborn as those who survive an abortion will be left to die. His Socialist ideas will rival Castro and that is an America that I cannot tolerate.
The upside to all this is that Hillary will likely never run again. The Democrats will not be able to blame George Bush or Republicans for the problems this nation faces because they will have control of the government so all that happens will be on their watch. I also am happy that I can disregard the cries of racism and the claims that America is racist. The white vote won this election for Obama. Now we can ignore the noise made by people like Sharpton and Jackson because a black man has reached the pinnacle. The racist past of America is well behind us and Obama’s victory erases any debt that people believe is owed.
Just to be clear, I do not wish any harm to him. That is not how America should work and anyone who attempts such things should be sent away for a long time. I will oppose him in the political arena and work from his first day in office until his last to see him defeated.
Good luck, we are going to need it.
God Bless America.

For the first time in my 28 years of voting, I am compelled to say this: Barack Obama is not my president. He never will be. There obviously are two Americas. The first is the USA and values individualism, capitalism, and the values that helped create this country. This America chooses Jeopardy as entertainment. This America is vanishing as I type this, and I fear it is not coming back.
The second is the USSA, the United Socialist States of AmeriKKKa. This America expects handouts and government to take care of everything. This AmeriKKKa chooses American Idol as its entertainment.
I will not be part of any of that. Ever.
Thank you for your blog. It has been a joy to read your posts.
Jim
Jim,
Thanks for your comment. Your last sentence sounds as if you won’t be reading it anymore!
Keep coming back! I value the people who read this and appreciate their comments (even the ones I don’t agree with).
I am tempted to say he is not my president. He is because he was elected as it but I reserve the right to disown him. I just have to give him more of a chance than the libs gave Bush or I will be no better than they.
You said it better than I ever could. Thanks for all your coverage during the election months, you’ve been a regular read of mine for a while now.
I pray he is exposed before inauguration, if indeed he is not Constitutionally eligible to be the POTUS – because if he is indeed sworn into office, we will officially be under an anarchist’s rule.
But – if he is sworn in and no proof is ever given to the contrary, I will respect him as much as I disagree with him.
Jim, I agree with you. Obama may have been elected President of the United States, but I will never regard him as MY president. I did not vote for him, and one has to respect the President, and I have no respect for Obama. I am a naturalized citizen, originally from the UK. Take heart that Obama WILL go wrong. In 1997, Britain was in the exact same position as the United States – a despised conservative government, and seemingly everyone in the country going gaga over a brand new, young, charismatic newcomer with a talent for speeches and flowery prose, and who was, in essence, a great actor and little else. He also turned out to be an empty suit. After the first term, he wasn’t doing the wonderful things he promised, but the idiot electorate voted him in again. Five years later (it’s a five year cycle in Britain and no term limits) the country was being overrun with immigrants from the gutters of the third world, all holding their hands out for a chunk of the welfare state – free housing, free healthcare, free schooling, cash handouts for each child, etc., etc., etc. All of which the indigenous population has a hard time obtaining, of course. The idiots voted him in AGAIN!!!! Then, after being the most hated P.M. in history, he turned the reins over to Gordon Brown, who carried on the downward spiral, and the country is pretty much destroyed – economy, history, culture, you name it. And we have no hope of an election until 2010. Stealth taxes under Blair/Brown’s Labour Party have increased more than 66% on the individual since they took office. It’s doubtful Labour will get in again, but the longlasting damage is done. Beware – Obama is Tony Blair with a different accent and a nice tan.
The upside to all this is that Hillary will likely never run again. The Democrats will not be able to blame George Bush or Republicans for the problems this nation faces because they will have control of the government so all that happens will be on their watch.
I guess this maybe some small consolation as we watch our country destroyed. They are all right here–this is no longer America and this is not my president.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away man’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.
Abraham Lincoln
Victoria – nice quote and still true today. Too bad so few people believe it. Someone said that democracy will fail when people realize they can vote themselves a big raise and benefits. Another truth going unnoticed.
People are celebrating a new era for America but what are they saying? That what was working so well for the country for so long is now all done and we need to move towards big government and fewer liberties? The great thing about capitalism and America are the opportunities we have to make the best of our lives. How can we do that if we are forced to subsidize those that do not want to make the best of it but rely on the government to make the best of it for them. God help us all. I’m afraid we’re truly going to need it.
God help us all. I’m afraid we’re truly going to need it.
We are going to need it because the “rich” in this country where ever the number starts cannot support 47 million people and they are going to keep on moving out of this country to elsewhere along with their jobs. And more and more employers are going to lay off more and more people.
I still have not given up on the Lord’s intervention. Obama is not in office yet and we could find out he is not a citizen or his fraud, etc. could really be exposed. He and his wife have been referred to as Ahab and Jezebel and that says it all. If he does stay in office, I will give the people who voted for him a year and they will all be crying the blues and I will have no empathy for them.
[…] Dog: A ranty but sincere-sounding […]
I am no longer proud of my country. I’m terrified. I’ll get past the tears soon enough, morning loss takes time. Then as Joe Biden warned us to do, I’ll gird my loins and fight.
I’m still trying to process this result and gather my thoughts about President-elect Barack Obama. One thing I’ve doing is remembering my elementary school days during the civil rights movement. The horrific assassinations of JFK, MLK Jr. & RFK.
How far we have come as a nation. We’ve truly left racism behind us. This election proves it. And that’s a good thing for this country because racism and the politicization of it has been very damaging to this nation.
Having owned a business during the Carter Administration, with 21.5% interest rates, 14% inflation, 11% unemployment, the Middle East oil embargo and the Iran hostage crisis, I know what lies ahead for business. And it’s not good. In fact, it’s all bad.
Everything we went through during the Carter era is about to repeat itself and then some. Why do I say this? Very simple; radical, far-left liberalism & socialism are failed ideologies that, have before and will now once again, destroy everything that has made this country successful & strong.
I am sad, very, very sad. I am also disheartened to have to accept the fact that so many Americans don’t have a clue about what makes this country run. Government is the problem, not the solution and Americans just chose the wrong road.
It’s going to be a very bleak time for the next few years. Woe is me.
Pat
Tissue anyone?
you are full of s**t. and that from a guy that calls himself big dog… what a silly name anyways… you’re too afraid to say things like this in your real name? pathetic…
Pataki and fidelio,
Screw both of you liberal punks.
Victoria @ 1:48: the Lincoln “cannots” are bogus. See the Illinois state website here.
i will gladly do that for you my friend, BIIIG DOG.
Hi Fidelio,
Did you expect to be taken seriously with that “retort”? Come on now. String some real sentences together, formulate an argument based on real, verifiable premises and generate a conclusion. otherwise you are just a 5 year old with your thumbs in your ears and your tongue sticking out saying “nanny, nanny, boo, boo”.
Oh and so that you don’t feel all alone at your level… you’re also a fricken idiot who should stapple his mouth shut and super glue his fingers together so that you can’t say anything else that will make you look stupid and more importantly… you can’t type it for the rest of us to endure.
fidelio and Pataki why dont you punk asses go screw each other
Sounds like a bunch of sad, sad, losers.
Yes, John … we are sad. We know what’s coming and it’s not good for anyone from any political party. When the country is harmed, when it’s weakened all Americans are adversely affected. Liberals will not escape the consequences of the far-left, radical policies which are about to be unleashed, enmasse. We will all share the same amount of nothing.
Is it wrong to wish for a bit of schadenfreude through all this??
John,
Your not knowing what we are truly sad about is sad.
Is it wrong to wish for a bit of schadenfreude through all this??
A big resounding NO. I was listening to Rush this morning and maybe they even started getting some of it last during that persons (I cannot even call him president) acceptance speech when he said,”We are all going to have to sacrifice,” to his tearful adoring crowd because Rush said it was like they were saying, “wait a minute, we–I thought they were going to have to sacrifice.” It is also like Rush was saying we didn’t have a chance because conservatives weren’t even on the ballot and McCains concession speech was his whole campaign. Unify!!!!Can you unify over Fairness doctrine, unions, capital gains, federal funded abortion, death tax, national health…..?
Hamas praises Obama win as ‘historic victory for world’
Terrorists drafting letter of congrats to be sent directly to president-elect.
This pretty much speaks for itself.
This is not a win for black America. Yes they were once oppressed and Martin Luther King, who I believe was a Republican and others fought for the oppression to stop and now the oppression is on the unborn including a lot of unborn African American babies but a lot of African Americans just voted for it to continue for the pleasure of seeing someone black in the oval office.
Agreed, Victoria. You can’t unify over things like the Fairness doctrine, unions, capital gains, abortion, death taxes, socialized medicine – that’s why I believe “bipartisanship” and “reaching across the aisle” is a myth. What kind of agreement and unity is to be had over issues that ultimately divide a nation? Should we burn all history books? Because obviously people haven’t learned from the lessons of Russia, Nazi Germany, socialist Venezuela, communist Cuba, communist China, or any other country that has attempted what Obama is swearing to attempt – and they all failed.
Furthermore, look who he has already picked for his chief of staff. An extreme liberal, Chicago politician. So much for all the morons on Fox (which I usually like) last night who were so weepy over a black man finally getting elected (which is great, don’t get me wrong, and a huge step for America, but pardon me if I didn’t want THAT black man elected – libs may call me racist now) that they ended up saying crap such as, “Well, we don’t really know who he is right now, we’ll have to wait and see,” and “He was extremely liberal in Chicago, but over the last year he’s definitely drifted more to the center of things and shown he can be a little more moderate.” What I have to say is, Obama is a man that did and said anything to get elected, so forgive me if I don’t believe that it’s possible to ignore the last 25 years of his liberal, radical life to somehow discover that he’s become a “moderate” in the last 6 months. Baloney.
