Peaceful Leftists Sure Don’t Act Peaceful

A secret trip to Iraq was just completed by the Gold Star Families (thanks to Move America Forward) and they are back to tell America what it is really like in Iraq. Since the MSM and other outlets refuse to report on any of the good things that take place, the Gold Star Families went for themselves to see the progress that their loved ones died to bring about. Here is the exclusive from the Sacramento Union:

In a stunning and historic trip under the utmost secrecy, a delegation of families of fallen U.S. troops have traveled to Iraq to counter critics of the war effort, just days before the Nov. 7 midterm elections.

The delegation of “Gold Star Families” agreed to provide the Sacramento Union with an exclusive account of their trip to Iraq based on the assurance that news of their mission would not be published until they had safely left Amman, Jordan.

So secret is their trip that even members of the Bush Administration were kept in the dark about their planned activities.

They’ve come to Iraq from cities throughout America as part of a 12-person delegation in a history-making effort – no other coordinated group of “Gold Star Families” has ever traveled to Iraq, and they come with a message that is sure to ignite a firestorm of debate.

“The American people are shown a skewed picture of the situation in Iraq day after day by the international news media. We felt it was time to allow the families of U.S. troops who died in Iraq to come see the progress being made in Iraq and report it back to the American ,” said Melanie Morgan, Chairman of Move America Forward.

Move America Forward, a Sacramento-based pro-troop non-profit organization is organizing the 10-day journey to Iraq. The group previously led a contingent of radio talk show hosts to Iraq in July 2005.

To demonstrate their contention that things are better in Iraq than what has been portrayed in many news accounts, the delegation is intentionally traveling to Iraqi provinces that have largely been free of the violence that has erupted in Baghdad and the surrounding Sunni triangle.

“Shouldn’t the American people be told about the good things happening in Iraq? Isn’t it legitimate news for example to be told of the success enjoyed by the people of northern Iraq who have established democratic institutions in communities that are almost entirely free of violence?” Morgan asked.

Of course, when ever an organization or group does something positive for America and her troops, especially close to an election, the moonbats have to come out from their holes and criticize the whole issue. This trip must be particularly stinging coming on the back of John Kerry’s remarks this week. When moonbats discuss the war they always discuss peace, holding hands, singing songs, and everybody all getting along in ignorant bliss. They decry American troops as killers and say that the deaths are tragic. Yet, these very same moonbats constantly wish death on people in America with whom they disagree. This is true of the feeling expressed toward the Gold Star Families:

“psst…it ain’t a secret anymore. I’m posting this article on every islamist and anti-coalition message board i can find.

“it would be such an ironic tragedy if these hacks died on their trip…hahaa”
-> Posted by jar jar / Nov 04, 2006

Some idiot named jar jar claims he will post the information in a place where it could cause problems which means he feels compelled to help the enemy (are we sure this is not John Kerry) but the most disturbing is when he says it would be an ironic tragedy of they died on the trip. This is the kind of hatred that the left has for people with whom they disagree. This is why the left is looked at as unpatriotic and as a bunch of hypocrites. The decry killing yet have no problem if their own people die.

These kinds of people are no better than the folks at the Westboro Baptist Church. They go on death watch every time the VP goes to the hospital and they look forward to his death so much they are actually disappointed when he does well. When someone lobbed a grenade at the President, the complaint from the left was not that someone tried to kill the POTUS but that they did it in another country and if they had been successful we might have started another war. The comment was along the lines of, that is all we need, him to get killed out of the country, as if in the country would be fine.

When Bill Clinton went in for surgery Conservatives said prayers for him. When John Edwards’ wife went in for her breast cancer treatments, the people on the right prayed for her and sent her well wishes. One would also find it difficult to see people dreaming about the death of momma moonbat, Cindy Sheehan. I guess it is only taboo to think ill of liberals who are victims. It is troublesome to think that the these are the people who want to run this country.

We need to ensure that these folks are not in charge when we wake up on the 8th.

I wish you wouldn’t look at a few crazies, distort a few honest comments, then make a giant leap to the conclusion that liberals call for the death of those who disagree with them and conservatives instead pray. You act as if people like “Freepers” just don’t exist. You act as if “moonbat” is a term reserved only for liberals.

You’re so stuck on the idea that liberals are bad and conservatives good that you’ve fallen asleep on watch and awoken to a 100% republican government that is no longer working to help Americans and there is nobody to call them on it. There is no one to apply real oversight to this government and you don’t mind.

There’s always going to be idiots who key cars for bumper stickers, there’s always going to be death threats and harmless white powder in packages to scare campaign offices, there’s always going to be somebody taking something too far, and none of this changes the fact that the average Democrat and average Republican is working hard to change America in the way they see fit and is not hypocritical simply because of their political leanings.

It makes me sick at my stomach to watch you write such distortions of the truth. You make no distinction between kooks and normal liberals in your writings. You’re mad to suggest such garbage about the bulk of liberals in America. It’s just not true and you know better.

    Adam,
You go read the stuff at Daily Kos and or Huffington and tell me that this attitude is not pervasive among that whole group of people. I never acted like the right is full of angels but let’s face it, I do not have to defend the right because we are fighting the war. If we asked that those who disagree with us to die it would be in character, though most on the right don’t wish others to die. The left preaches peace and time and again they advocate violence.

Funny how you say the average Democrat and average Republican is working hard to change America and yet you hardly call most Republicans average. How many times have you equated one Republican with all of them or one military member with all of them. We both know that a search of your archives would yield a number of times where the broad brush was used.

And read this again, no where did I say everyone, though I did say the left. I believe I wrote THESE KINDS OF PEOPLE…

And I want you to tell me how I distorted a few honest comments. If they were honest then the guy wants them to die. Secondly, I wrote exactly what he said so there is no distortion.

I know, I didtorted what Kerry said. I am sorry, he must be right. This military guy is too dumb to understand that. You realize of course that this jackass just killed any chance he had of running for president again?

I wonder if he will put himself in for a Purple Heart for another self inflicted wound…

  3. Adam says:

I have not in a long time equated one jackass Republican with all Republicans.

The distorted comments I’m talking about come from the conversation about the grenade on my site. That was blown way out of proportion by you. Nobody was actually saying it was okay for Bush to die like you took it then and still take it now, yet you use it as an argument for how bad the left is.

So what you’re saying is conservatives can say whatever they want and do whatever they want because they don’t pretend to be non-violent? Don’t make me laugh.

You also know that John Kerry is not stupid enough to insult the troops like that even if he thought that for real, so it was obviously a botched joke. Yet, you keep hammering on that whole thing like a drone or something. It confuses me to see so many smart people be like this. Bill O’reilly gets it. Why can’t you? Is it because you’re so damned partisan?

  4. Big Dog says:

Adam, Which part of I am willing to believe it was probably a botched joke but if he messed it up he has to pay the price did you miss? It is beyond me how smart people like you, and I mean that sincerely because you are a bright guy, say things like Kerry is not stupid enough to insult the troops. He did it in 1971, 1972 and earlier this year when he said they terrorized Iraqis. He has a history and if you read my post you would see that I said he probably meant to say something else but that this was Freudian….I guess you must have missed that. Not a drone, I just expect accountability. Like in when I said it would have all blown over if he would have come right out and apologized. You probably missed that too.

That grenade comment was not blown out of proportion. The fact is, the comment was more about concern he would be killed out of the country and that would lead us into another war, rather than our President would be dead.

I did not say that Conservatives could say what they wanted because they don’t pretend to be non-violent. You are twisting the words. Let me clear it up. Many on the left say they believe in peace and yet they often either advocate violent acts or, as in peaceful protests, they engage in violence. The fact is, if a Conservative wrote that he wished everyone at the Cindy Sheehan Crawford tree house would be gunned down, or meet an unfortunate death, or ironically die from bites by infected mosquitoes then that Conservative would be excoriated as a mean spirited person (hell pointing out Michael J Fox did not take his medication when he made appearances led to me being called a number of names and I only pointed out the truth). Christ Adam, when one of us says to drop a bomb in the middle of a Hamas rally and kill a hundred thousand of them you guys on the left go berserk. Why is it OK for a guy to discuss a bunch of Gold Star Family members dying?

  5. Adam says:

Your problem is you act as if a guy discussing a bunch of Gold Star Family members dying is always the same guy who would go berserk when you talk about dropping a bomb at a Hamas rally. This is where you and others sell us all short.

You see, we’re not a unified group. We’re not one body. When one of us says something, we’re not speaking for every other liberal. That doesn’t matter to you I suppose. I imagine though that you see the difference between the crazies and those of us with a little common sense. I just don’t understand why you keep acting as if you don’t.

Maybe you don’t see it though? Maybe you actually do believe all liberals hate this country and want the terrorists to win? If so then there’s really no point discussing anything…
