Pelosi Supports Tibet, but not our Troops

Nancy Pelosi and a Congressional delegation visited Tibet to offer support in wake of the continuing crackdown by China. Tibetans have been killed by the Chinese for protesting. Pelosi gave her support and thus the support of the US to the Dalai Lama:
While standing next to the Dalai Lama, she denounced “China’s oppression of people in Tibet.”
“If freedom loving people don’t speak out against China’s oppression of people in Tibet, we have lost all moral authority to speak out against any oppressed people.” ABC
Notice here that Pelosi did not tell the Dalai Lama that he and his people should retreat. She did not tell them that they should cease fighting against oppression and she did not tell them to give in to the terror of the Chinese. She even offered support in the struggle and said we will have lost our moral authority if we don’t speak out.
This is the same Nancy Pelosi who does not believe that we should be offering support to the Iraqis and has no ideals about moral authority when discussing leaving them at the mercy of the bad guys who are just waiting for the US to leave a weak Iraq in place so they can swoop in and take over. This is the Nancy Pelosi who has not said that our troops need to continue to fight on and she certainly has not offered her “support” to them by letting them finish their job.
Perhaps it would be nice if Speaker Pelosi spent time in Iraq and Afghanistan meeting with our troops and telling them she supports them and is with the Iraqi people in their struggles. Maybe she could indicate that we will have lost our moral authority if we fail to support the troops in the mission of ending the war by winning it.

Thank God some one sees the light of day. Who the hell put her in Congres?
Yes, you are right. Tibet and the Dalai Lama’s struggles against China are just like the US invasion and occupation of Iraq on faulty evidence of threats that didn’t exist. When will these godless liberals wise up?
Adam’s last blog post..A Hillary Clinton Stalwart?
Only a blind liberal would use a phrase like threats that didn’t exist. Threats don’t exist in Tibet if they do what China tells them.
WMD, there, used on Iran and on his own people, moved to Syria. Remember a little bombing not too long ago in Syria. A bunch of bad stuff was blown up? Where do you suppose it came from? I know a little about getting rid of the stuff and you do not get rid of it legally without leaving a footprint. Where is the waste? Where are the plants designed to get rid of it? When you know a little about how it works you will be able to make a statement on that. Since you have no idea what you are talking about, you are not qualified to say they were or were not there. Talking points from dingbats on the left does not count. If Hussein got rid of them we should have hired him because it is costing us billions to get rid of ours.
Is Pelosi the Secretary of State? Then she is violating the law. But then again, this is the second time and liberals believe laws do not apply to them.
What threat exists to the US if China oppresses Tibet? Your claim is that we went to Iraq and there was faulty evidence of threats that did not exist [to the US]. I want you to tell me what threats exist to the US in the China/Tibet struggle. Since you think we were wrong to go into Iraq because there was no threat we are equally wrong to get involved in Tibet where no threat exists.
However, if you make the claim that people are being oppressed and we have a moral authority then the same holds true of Iraq where hundreds of thousands of Iraqis were killed by Hussein. We have a moral obligation to help. If you read the authorization for force that CONGRESS VOTED FOR only 3 or 4 items mention WMD. The rest talks about regime change (the official policy of the Clinton administration).
The problem is you are too blinded by liberal idiocy to see that when Clinton was in charge all Dems wanted to charge into Iraq and get rid of Hussein. They all said he was a threat. Bush actually did it and you whine.
Read the authorization and read the history of what your favorite Dems all said.
It is sad to see you led around by the nose. I am so surprised that you would belong to such a racist party but then again, libs have a hard time thinking for themselves.
Since you missed the sarcasm, Iraq and Tibet have nothing in common. Get real. You’ll do anything to try and make the other side look bad about this war when really the trouble lies solely in the lap of your stupid Republican party and their moronic actions taken on the premise of a war against terror. It would be hilarious to watch you guys twitching around pointing fingers and distracting from the truth if it weren’t for all the people who died because of it.
Adam’s last blog post..A Hillary Clinton Stalwart?
I did not miss the sarcasm I just happen to think you are incorrect. There is no looking bad as far as the reason for the war and certainly not as one side vs the other since a hell of a lot of Dems voted for it even if it was just to make people think they were patriots.
The facts are the facts. The articles for the action only mentioned WMD 3 or 4 times with about 15 other conditions. You guys continue to ignore it because if you say something enough your sheep will believe it. I was not opposed to the war but was opposed to the plan for it. I think we should have hit them with about half a million troops and all the firepower we had, a true shock and awe.
There is no distracting from the truth, it is what it is. Now, 4000 Americans have died in 5 years of this war. 50,000 Americans die each year in auto accidents and more than 5000 a year die from violence in this country and we are not at war.
The amazing thing is all that violence is in parts of the country run by Democrats. Look at the top most violent cities and you will see Democrats in charge. Maybe we need to get rid of Democrats so we can end the violence in America.
Iraq, oppressed people. Tibet, oppressed people. If we do not belong in one we do not belong in the other. In any event, Pelosi does not belong there. She is not a diplomat. For a wench who cries about the President overstepping his authority she sure does it herself quite a bit.
I know, rules do not apply to the people on the left.
