Putting Illegals on ICE

Federal agents raided six meat processing plants belonging to the Swift & Co in search of ILLEGAL aliens. The feds have been investigating a ring that uses other people’s Social Security numbers and forges documents to help ILLEGALS gain employment in this country. The raid netted an unknown number of people who are being held on a variety of charges. So far, the company has not been cited but Tom Tancredo (R-CO), a strong advocate for tough immigration laws, shared his thoughts about that:
“I congratulate all law enforcement agencies involved in the successful raid,†said Tancredo, Chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus. “My hope at this point is that the U.S. government has the courage to prosecute the Swift & Company executives who may have been complicit in their hiring.â€
Tancredo concluded with, “When something of this scale happens, it’s pretty likely that the plant managers were aware of it, often with the consent of management.†The Tribune
Fox News is carrying the story and the photo accompanying it is a sign with the words “Don’t take my parents at Christmas.” The sign is held by a 26 year old so it is not like some toddler who does not know the law is protesting the activities. Even if it were a toddler, sorry kids, this is what happens when mommy and daddy break the law. They do not belong here and they used stolen identities to get work so perhaps American kids should be out there holding up signs reading “Do not steal my parent’s identities at Christmas or any other time.”
It is good to see the feds rounding up the ILLEGALS and I hope this continues until they are all gone or all in jail. I really do not care if it is Christmas or any other time, a law breaker is a law breaker regardless of the season. It is particularly nice that they raided all six plants of the Swift company forcing them to shut down. This should cost them plenty of money and hopefully they will learn from it. I am also hopeful that in addition to lost revenue, the owners are fined heavily and lose any government contracts they might have.
These raids should send a clear message to ILLEGALS and those who hire them. Hefty fines and/or jail time will reinforce that message.

As an aside, I wonder if someone uses my Social Security number and pays into my account, will I be allowed to keep the money and then get it when I retire?
