Congress Won’t Hurt Economy So Obama Will
Jan 4, 2012 Political
Barack Obama took an unprecedented step today by making the appointment of Richard Cordray to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Why is this unprecedented? Because the Senate is still in session. The Senate is the body that advises and consents to Presidential appointments and presidents are only allowed to make an appointment when the Senate is in recess and unable to take up the process.
The Senate is in pro forma session. They meet every three days so they are still in session. It is obvious that this is being done to prevent recess appointments and it is not something new. Harry Reid did the exact same thing to prevent George Bush from making recess appointments.
Of course, Reid supports what Obama did because he now views the process as obstructive. Got that? When Democrats do it then it is good but when Republicans do it then it is obstructive.
The morons at the Daily Kos are happy with Obama and support the move. Imagine how they (and Harry Reid) would have reacted had Bush appointed someone during the pro forma sessions held by Democrats. We don’t need to imagine. We know they would have lost their minds and called Bush King George and a dictator. But when messiah Obama does it then it is fine and dandy.
It was reported just yesterday that Obama would not make any appointments during this recess (that is not a recess) but he evidently was persuaded by his handlers to do this.
Obama has engaged in a power grab in order to hurt the country. Obama himself said he did this because Congress refuses to do the things that will hurt the nation:
“I refuse to take ‘No’ for an answer. I’ve said before that I will continue to look for every opportunity to work with Congress to move this country forward. But when Congress refuses to act in a way that hurts our economy and puts people at risk, I have an obligation as president to do what I can without them.” [emphasis mine] USA Today
Obama makes two admissions here. The first is that Cordray will hurt the economy and people and the second is that if Congress refuses to hurt the economy and the people then it is up to Obama to do so.
Obama has been doing things that circumvent Congress since he took office. He continually claims that he wants to work with Congress but if the Congress does not do what he wants then he will look for other ways. This is not how the country works. Our government is supposed to be one of checks and balances and the Constitution spells out how things are done.
Obama has rejected the checks and balances and the Constitution in order to push his agenda. This is the mark of a dictator and Obama has left no doubt that he fits that bill.
He sees himself and his position as being above the rules and the process.
He sees himself above following the Constitution.
And he will end up getting lots of pushback from Congress. This matter will end up in court, it will end up being an issue in the campaign and it will end up biting him in his rear.
The Republicans in Congress need to refuse to do anything for this man from now on. Do not debate legislation, do not take up what he wants, and do not do any of it at all. Tell him that he gets NOTHING.
King Barack Hussein needs a swift kick in his donkey.
And to the liberals, if you think this is OK then you all need to remember that a Democrat will not always occupy the White House. If this stands then a precedent has been set and a Republican president can appoint anyone during any pro forma session and you all will need to STFU about it.
Looks like this appointment runs in opposition to the view of Obama’s own Justice Department…
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Democrat Politicians Bully TEA Party In Richmond
Nov 29, 2011 Political
The Occupy crowd in Richmond has been there sucking up resources and causing trouble. The group has not paid for permits and the city has provided extra police, portable toilets, and trash clean up for these people. In other words, taxpayers have had to foot the bill for them.
The TEA Party in the area has paid about $10,000 for three events that it held. It paid for its own toilets, the extra police and it cleaned up its own trash. In other words, the taxpayer did not foot the bill.
That TEA Party group sent a bill to the city of Richmond claiming that the city owed them the money because the Occupy folks did not have to pay. The TEA Party was demanding a refund because it should not have to pay for the things that the Occupy crowd does not pay for.
Instead of the city rectifying this situation it has done what governments do when challenged, it issued a threat. The city has notified the TEA Party that it is being audited and that it needs to provide information or the auditor will pick an arbitrary number (they claim it is based on the best information available) and taxes will be levied based on that.
The TEA Party has provided all necessary paperwork every month as required by law and the numbers have always been zero, zilch, nada. It is obvious that the audit is a retaliatory action because the TEA Party dared to demand that it be treated equally under the law.
No worries though. The TEA Party is filing an FOIA request for everything dealing with the issue so there might be some embarrassing disclosures of how this was done as a political move. The ACLU is involved and though I rarely agree with that organization I can commend them on getting involved in an issue that is against a bunch of liberals and not in favor of them.
The city of Richmond is full of corrupt Democrats who belong in jail. Perhaps this effort will land some of them there.
At the least let us hope it shows the voters how crooked these people are and how they are wasting tax dollars. Perhaps this will inspire the voters to throw these cretins out of office.
It seems to me that the Chicago Way is alive and well. It also seems that one day real soon these politicians are going to get pushback they won’t like.

Where Were They For Geithner And Rangel?
Mar 15, 2010 Political
Two IRS agents showed up at a car wash in Sacramento to collect back taxes. The agents incurred travel expenses and were paid their salaries in order to collect a whopping 4 cents.
It was every businessperson’s nightmare.
Arriving at Harv’s Metro Car Wash in midtown Wednesday afternoon were two dark-suited IRS agents demanding payment of delinquent taxes. “They were deadly serious, very aggressive, very condescending,” says Harv’s owner, Aaron Zeff.
The really odd part of this: The letter that was hand-delivered to Zeff’s on-site manager showed the amount of money owed to the feds was … 4 cents.
Inexplicably, penalties and taxes accruing on the debt – stemming from the 2006 tax year – were listed as $202.31, leaving Harv’s with an obligation of $202.35. The Sacramento Bee
OK, so with penalties the balance was a little over 200 dollars which begs the question, how much interest and penalties are levied to turn 4 cents into 200 dollars in just four years?
The troubling thing here is that the IRS would waste time and money to collect 4 cents (plus the penalties and interest) when it ignored Tim Geithner and Charlie Rangel along with who knows how many others who failed to pay their taxes. And to top it off, the IRS waived any penalties and interest for Geithner.
This is nothing more than an abuse of power and whoever authorized this should be fired. Let’s face it, the 4 cents that was originally owed would not make a dent in the budget deficit and the IRS does not require anyone to pay taxes owed if the amount due is less than one dollar (and it will not refund any amount overpaid if it is under a dollar unless a refund is requested).
This also means that the owner should not have had interest and penalties assessed.
From the IRS:
How To PayIf you have an amount due on your tax return, you can pay by check, money order, credit or debit card. If you filed electronically, you also may be able to make your payment electronically.
You do not have to pay if the amount you owe is less than $1. [This emphasis mine]
I guess this is a sign of the times to come. The government is so anxious to spend our money that it will go to any length to squeeze out every last cent from us.
I don’t know how this happened but it is wrong no matter how one views it.
