Fowler Apologizes For Offending, Attacks Recorder

Don Fowler, the Democrats caught on video laughing and showing his glee that a hurricane would hit New Orleans just as Republicans were starting their convention, has apologized. Well, sort of. Fowler apologized if he offended anyone, not for being wrong and insensitive on this issue. He then went on to attack the “right wing nutcase” who recorded him:
“If this offended anybody, I personally apologize,” Fowler told ABC News. “It was a mistake, and it was a satirical statement made in jest. And one that I clearly don’t believe.”

“One doesn’t anticipate that one’s private conversation will be surreptitiously taped by some right-wing nutcase,” said Fowler. “But that’s the nature of what we’re dealing with.” Political Radar
He is sorry if anyone was offended and it was just satire and a statement made in jest. What he really means is that he is sorry his true feelings were exposed.
The other thing he did was attack the person who exposed him. He said that one does not expect a private conversation to be recorded. Mr. Fowler, if you are on a plane or anywhere else in public, your conversations are not private. If your conversation can be heard by others it is not private. The person who heard you had every right to record what was going on. If it had not been recorded you would have denied it.
Your true feelings were exposed and Michael Moore demonstrated that your comment was not an isolated thought. Many Democrats are keeping their mouths shut but inside they are very happy that this is going on.
I wonder how this will play out should the evacuations go well and should there be minimal loss of life. What will happen if it all goes real well? The image in people’s minds will not be Katrina and the problems there but in Gustav and how well things went. The freshest image will be one of success. Will the Democrats be as happy if the American people equate success with a Republican Governor and failure with the Democrat who was in power when Katrina hit? What will the Dems do then?
If I were McCain I would start my speech by thanking people and saying that this shows what can happen when a competent Republican Governor coordinates with the federal government early on and requests assistance well in advance of the problem. Put the onus for Katrina on the Dems.
Then we would see crying instead of laughing. As it stands, Fowler and the others are happy no matter how they “apologize.”

Absolut Apology to Protect bottom Line

I wrote earlier about an ad campaign by Absolut vodka that was developed to target the Mexican market. In the ad Absolut displays a map from the 1830s in which California, Texas and much of the south west was Mexican territory. The wording over it reads “In an Absolut World.” There have been calls for a boycott of that product and I indicated that the company had more to lose in the US than it did to gain in Mexico. It would appear as if they now realize that they offended Americans because the company has issued an apology.
“In no way was it meant to offend or disparage, nor does it advocate an altering of borders, nor does it lend support to any anti-American sentiment, nor does it reflect immigration issues,” Absolut said in a statement left on its consumer inquiry phone line. LA Times
It does not matter what they meant or what they say they meant, the reality is that Americans saw this as offensive an counterproductive. The company can say it did not mean to do a lot of things but they put up the map and said this is how it would be in an Absolut world thus indicating that in their world this is the way it should be.
By displaying the map and indicating that in an Absolut world the Mexicans would still own that property they have given legitimacy to Mexican groups who believe that America stole territory from Mexico. The fact that Absolut indicated in the original story that most Americans are unaware of the history shows the company’s contempt for the US and it shows they underestimated American response and understanding of the issue.
The history of the issue is quite clear. America did not steal any land from the Mexicans. The land was gained in war (as a condition to the end of hostilities) and it was gained when America PAID for it. Mexico had a ton of debt and the country could not afford to pay it. Very few Mexicans lived in California so the Mexicans sold it to get rid of their debt. Texas had fought for its independence long before it became a state and it was acquired legally. Absolut does not help the hard feelings that exist by indicating the territories should belong to Mexico.
In an Absolut world the vodka company would go broke because it lost its American customers. Its apology shows that it realizes it made a mistake and that it is worried.
Let us put the heat on them and ensure they pay for their insult to this country. Let us show them that Mexico cannot possible provide them more business than America.
Boycott Absolut.
Time for Obama to Disown Racist Pastor

And it is time for him to start apologizing for what that preacher has said.
Geraldine Ferraro stepped down as an unpaid adviser to Hillary Rodham Clinton after statements she [Ferraro] made about Barack Hussein Obama. Ferraro was absolutely correct when she said that if Obama was a white guy he would not be giving Hillary a challenge. If he was a white guy or another woman Hillary Rodham Clinton would be getting the bulk of the black vote. As it stands right now Obama is getting about 90% of that vote and he is getting it, for the most part, because he is black. Ferraro mentioned that she was selected as a VP candidate because she is a woman but failed to mention that Clinton would not be where she is if she was not married to Bill Clinton. Despite what her supporters say, it is an undeniable truth.
Obama does not want to play the race game, or so he indicates when he says issues, not race will prevail. For her part, Clinton had to jump in and apologize as if she had done something wrong or as if what was said was racist or wrong. The fact is, it was the truth and apologizing makes Hillary appear weak. Hell, when Ferraro stepped down it gave the appearance that she said something wrong and she did not. But when will Obama really remove race from the equation?
When will Obama apologize for the racist things his preacher, Jeremiah Wright, says? Wright has blamed white people (and black Republicans) for all the woes in the black community. Wright has called America the US of KKK and he has stated:
“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people,”
His contention is that the government targets black people and they are the victim of a plot to get the poor brothers. Wright is a racist pig and Obama needs to quit that church and sever all ties with him. If Obama wants the issues and not race to prevail then Obama needs to remove his own racists from the equation. Otherwise he is proving what we evil whites have known all along. Blacks get away with racism all the time but the slightest hint of racism from a white brings the wrath of the race baiters down. It seems to me that if Wright paid attention he would know that it is buffoons like him who hurt the black community by continuing to encourage them to suckle at the teat of the Democrats who will provide everything for the poor blacks who are supposedly not able to do for themselves. When you espouse dependency then you are admitting you are inferior to those who are not dependent and you become subservient to those who provide. People like Wright ensure that blacks remain enslaved. They removed the cotton fields but not the shackles.
Obama was married in that church and he has listened to Wright for 20 years. He must agree with what Wright says or he would have left the church. Surely if he and his peeps think that Clinton staff should step down for making what they perceive as racist remarks then Obama needs to leave his church and sever ties over what we absolutely know to be racist remarks from his pastor.
I can only assume that Barack Hussein Obama agrees with the message coming from that church and its racist leaders since he has stayed there for 20 years. Obama is a bright man and knows what is being said. Even an idiot would know what kind of message comes from that so called House of God and since Obama stays there he must like what he hears.
I want to know when the Obama followers are going to demand this of their prophet. I want to know when they are going to demand the same things they demand of his opponent.

Berkeley Knows that Money Talks

The city of Berkeley is taking a slightly different position on their feelings toward the Marines there. It seems they now believe that their words were a little harsh and, of course, they never intended to insult the Marines. This is all a bunch of horse dung because they know exactly what they wrote and they know exactly what it would do. They have changed their opinions, at least the ones they express publicly, because of one thing; MONEY.
Six Republican Senators are working on a plan to remove all federal funding from Berkeley. This will include money for the school lunch program and money for the university as well as anything else our tax dollars pay for. This is reasonable given that certain behaviors are expected by those entities that receive federal money. Of course, the liberal dingbats Sen. Barbara Boxer and Rep. Barbara Lee said they would fight the bill. Where were these two when the city was harassing the Marines? They were silent when their fellow moonbats were messing with the best people that town has ever had in it and yet they are now going to have a say in this. Screw them both. There is an acronym that applies to them; Can’t Understand Normal Thinking.
We should keep the pressure on Berkeley and they should have their federal funds withdrawn for an undetermined amount of time. When they learn that they have to behave a certain way to get the money then we can think about sending it. I still want everyone to boycott the place. Stay away from there and do not do business there. Let the moonbats there support the businesses.
I also want to mention that the Marines did absolutely nothing to anyone. They have done their jobs each and every day and they are not clashing with protesters nor are they out stirring up trouble. God knows they have every right to go out and rid the Earth of the slimy vermin that cause all the problems but they have not. So I take issue with this statement made by a moonbat in the school system:
Ann Cooper with the Berkeley Unified School District wants both sides to play nice.
“Senators sitting 3,000 miles away are trying to take food away from the children of Berkeley,” said Cooper. “Why? Because the Marines and the city aren’t playing nice — and that’s just not OK.” NBC11.com
Ms. Cooper, the Marines are not playing at all. This issue is about a bunch of moonbat protesters and a bunch of moonbat politicians that have decided to harass the Marines. You can try to pin some of the blame on them but it is inaccurate and misleading. Also, the Senators are not trying to take food away from kids. They are trying to teach you moonbats that you have to do certain things to get federal money and you folks in Berkeley are not doing them.
Besides, obesity is the number one health issue with our children. Either the government is feeding them too much or they get all the food they need elsewhere. Either way, they will not starve to death. Maybe the enlightened liberal elite there can come up with any money you all need.
Boycott Berkeley.
