When Will The Left Ever Accept Responsibility?

Hostess, the maker of Twinkies, Ding Dongs, and Wonder Bread (among other things), has closed its doors and will lay off over 18,000 workers. About a third of the workforce is composed of union members and those thugs went on strike. Their refusal to work with the struggling company led to everyone, union and non-union alike, losing their jobs. Isn’t this wonderful? A month before Christmas and 18 thousand people are out of work all because union employees insisted that Hostess get blood out of a rock.
The company has had problems in the past and went through a bankruptcy some years ago. It hit financial troubles again and again filed for bankruptcy. The union was not too helpful with restructuring so that jobs and the company could be saved.
The union employees decided they would rather everyone lose their jobs and get the little money from unemployment than to accept lower wages and reduced benefits so that everyone could continue to get a paycheck. Now they get less money and have NO benefits. This is how unions work.
Richard Trumka (let’s call him Dick), head of the AFL-CIO blamed Mitt Romney in a backdoor way by claiming that the greedy company and its vulture capital methods caused the end of jobs. It is Dick’s assertion that the leaders of the company were so greedy and rolling in so much money that they wanted more at the expense of the workers.
Perhaps I am missing something but if the people running the company had so much money they would not have been in financial trouble, would not have had a previous bankruptcy, and would not be closing down.
The reality is that the only people to blame for the shut down is the union and its members. Perhaps they thought the leaders were bluffing. Perhaps they really believed there was more money. Perhaps they thought it would all work out.
Perhaps they did not care.
In any event, they are all now out of work and an American company that has been around for 82 years is out of business.
There is a possibility that some of the popular items will be bought up by other baking companies (permission to liquidate is needed from the bankruptcy court) and the beloved Twinkie will continue to broaden the waistlines of Americans (Dick Trumka looks like a regular Twinkie eater). If so I doubt the companies will be looking to hire any of the union members who caused this problem.
As for Dick blaming this on vulture capitalists perhaps he should learn a thing or two. Hostess was saved from extinction in its past bankruptcy by these very kinds of people who ponied up money to help the company.
Instead of blaming people like Romney Dick should look at the real culprits, the union employees. If anything, Hostess needed a company like Bain to come in and infuse cash and then assist with getting things on better financial footing.
There will soon be a crisis as stoners in states that passed laws legalizing marijuana (and stoners everywhere for that matter) are left without Twinkies and Ding Dongs when they get the munchies.
While Twinkie Toes Dick Trumka is out running his mouth and blaming others (a common thing among the left) more than 18,000 people will join the largest growing segment of the population in the Obama era.
The unemployed.

Obama’s Failed Public Equity

Barack Obama and his minions have been attacking Mitt Romney for his time at Bain Capital and his record in the private equity market. It is true that some of the companies that Bain was involved in eventually failed and that is what the Obama regime is harping on. The regime neglects the reality that those companies that did fail would have done so much sooner without Bain intervention.
The regime also overlooks (or more accurately deliberately ignores) the successes that Bain was involved in and the number of jobs that Bain created or saved. And yes, in this instance the jobs were saved because those companies did not go under. In fact, Bain saved a number of companies including Staples, Sport’s Authority and Domino’s Pizza. In saving those companies a lot of jobs were also saved.
Marc A. Thiessen of the Washington Post wrote an article on 24 May of this year discussing the idea of Bain’s success and Obama attacking the company. Thiessen says that if Romney’s record at Bain, a private equity firm, is up for debate then Obama is open to scrutiny of his record in the public equity market.
He then goes on to discuss a few examples of Obama’s public equity failures. These are companies in which Obama has invested millions of taxpayer dollars to keep them afloat only to see them fail. Yes, Obama was the public sector Bain in trying to save distressed entities only Obama failed at it and it cost the taxpayers.
When Romney was doing his private equity thing he was risking his own money. Obama is risking AND LOSING our money.
Go to this article and read the list of companies that Obama has invested your money in and how much of it he lost.
It takes guts to invest your own money knowing you could lose it. It takes no guts at all to risk money that is not yours, just like Obama did.
Obama is a typical liberal who has lots of fun with other people’s money.
The problem is when Obama is done we will be stuck with the bill.
I suffered no loss when a small portion of the companies Bain invested in failed but all taxpayers will feel the pain of the Obama failures.
This is something that the Romney campaign can use to hammer Obama. Even though this is the case it will not stop Obama from claiming that Mitt Romney is responsible for the cancer death of the wife of a worker who lost a job at a company in which Bain was involved. According to the left Romney’s actions resulted in the death of this woman.
Be careful liberals. Obama is lax on immigration allowing illegals to roam without consequence.
Perhaps we need an ad demonstrating that Obama is responsible for the rape of this child.
Obama has a failed record of using OUR money to bail out companies. Mitt Romney has a successful record of bailing out companies with HIS OWN money.
Which person has a better understanding of business and which one is better equipped to push our economy to recovery?
I think you know that answer.

Obama Responsible For Bain Layoffs

GST Steele in Kansas City was a company that Bain got involved with and the company eventually went bankrupt. The Obama campaign put out a video in May with a number of former workers discussing the plant closing and they all blamed Mitt Romney for the demise of the company.
Romney left Bain two years before the takeover and closure of the plant. That is undeniable, and it is only disputed by the Obama campaign that is deliberately lying in order to win.
Be that as it may, the ad is misleading and it is obvious that the workers involved are saying what they were told to say. There is no doubt that Bain was involved. They end up lying when they claim Romney was involved in the decisions made.
How does Obama fit into this and why is he responsible? Mitt Romney was not running Bain when this happened a guy named Jonathan Lavine was.
Who is Jonathan Lavine? He is one of Barack Obama’s TOP campaign bundlers. From ABC:
…One of Obama’s top campaign financiers – Jonathan Lavine – is also managing director at Bain, bundling between $100,000 and $200,000 in contributions for the 2012 Obama Victory Fund, according to estimates released by the Obama campaign. The president has also relied on other leading figures in the private equity sector as hosts for high-dollar fundraisers and as members of his Jobs Council. Gateway Pundit
Wow, an Obama supporter and TOP bundler is the guy who was actually responsible for the demise of GST Steel. Therefore, Obama is responsible.
It has to be so. If Obama can claim that Romney is responsible when he was not in charge and not there then we can certainly make the claim that since an Obama TOP bundler was actually in charge that Barack Obama is responsible.
There is another interesting part of the video that probably goes unnoticed.
The workers claim that Bain came into the company and ran up huge amounts of debt for short term profit but that long term it led to disaster. This is basically what they claim happened and they say it was a bad thing to do (I agree with that part).
Spend a lot of money you don’t have for a short term gain only to incur a lot of future debt that causes huge financial problems.
Sounds like Obama’s Stimulus Plan. In fact, it sounds like the way Democrats run everything. They spend huge sums of money we do not have to get short term gain (usually in support from constituents) which leads to long term financial disaster.
Yet, these people in the video seem to think that Obama is the answer because Romney does not understand the little guy.
Once again, Romney was NOT involved.
Even so, Obama is doing to the country what Jonathan Lavine and Bain did to GST Steel, period.
I guess in the liberal mind Romney is bad for bankrupting a company but Obama is righteous for bankrupting the nation.
Let us not forget that to get to this conclusion they had to invent Romney’s involvement.
Romney was NOT there. The fact checkers have reviewed the documents; the SEC has accepted the documents without initiating any legal action and Bain has confirmed that Romney was not there.
So we know Romney did not really do this. Obama did through his TOP bundler.
We also know that Obama was at the helm during the downfall of the country. There is no doubt about that.

From Birthers To Bainers

The Barack Obama for dictator campaign is obsessed with telling a lie over and over in order to paint Mitt Romney as a felon. In fact, the campaign called Romney a felon because the campaign wants people to believe that Mitt Romney did not leave control of Bain Capitol when he says he did.
This lie has been checked by several fact checking organizations and it has been found to be false. This has not mattered to the Obama camp as it continues to put forth completely debunked information as proof positive that Romney lied.
This is coming from the same people who attack birthers because they refuse to stop making claims about Obama’s birth (and natural born citizen status) even though the campaign has released documents to disprove the claim.
Keep in mind that those documents have been shown to be fabrications and not original source documents. Regardless, the campaign says they have released documents and that should be the end of the story.
Hell, the campaign cites the same fact checking sources that have debunked the Romney issue as proof that Obama is natural born and the issue should be dropped.
Why would the campaign continue to spread thoroughly debunked information when it has taken the position it has on Obama’s birth?
It is because the campaign is scared. It has been digging and digging and has not found anything that will harm Romney. Since there is nothing that will damage him the liberals just did what they always do.
They manufactured evidence. They made false claims. They told America a lie, knowing full well it was a lie, and they have doubled down by opposing the findings of fact checking organizations.
This will work with some voters who do not pay attention or lack the intelligence to see the truth. That would be many liberal graduates from the public school system.
The campaign is scared because the messiah, B. Hussein Obama, might not get reelected.
The campaign will have more to worry about if the news reports that Condi Rice is being considered as Romney’s running mate result in her being selected (and accepting) for that job.
Rice is smart, conservative, has lots of foreign policy experience, and has an 80% favorability rating.
If she ends up being the VP nominee Obama and his campaign will have a lot to worry about because she will bring even more energy to an already energized Republican party that is hell bent on getting rid of the Socialist in the White House and replacing him with someone who actually knows how to lead.
So they are afraid, very afraid. They attack Romney with false claims because they have nothing and they know they can’t run on what they have done (they have to run FROM what they have done).
Obama calls for transparency from Romney (even though the publicly available records are being used to perpetuate lies) while Obama continues to keep all his records locked away.
Let us see the college transcripts, all of them and let us see the actual vault copy of the birth certificate.
Obama is spreading the lie that Romney was working for Bain and making the decisions that affected the company while he was simultaneously running the Olympics.
Bain was successful during that time and the Olympic Games were successful.
So, what Obama is saying is that he believes Romney is capable of running a number of things at once and being successful in all of them at the same time.
We know that Romney left Bain and was not running it but that does not negate the fact that Obama thinks he was which, according to Obama, means Mitt Romney is better qualified to lead and bring us to success.
