Biden Pulls Numbers Out Of His Donkey
Feb 27, 2009 Political
Anyone who has ever watched Joe Biden, the smartest man to ever serve in the Senate, knows that he has quite a penchant for sticking his foot in his mouth. He makes up statistics and pulls numbers out of the air. The thing is, he is quite convincing when he does it so people believe that he knows what he is talking about. This is particularly true for those who are not particularly bright or who do not know how to look things up for themselves. These are the kind of people who, when confronted with a Biden lie, claim he only made a mistake. If that is the case, how comfortable should we be with someone who is so prone to mistakes?
After Bobby Jindal gave the Republican response to Obama’s speech (a response that had good substance but was not particularly well delivered) Biden gave his own response. Biden was on The Early Show the next day and here is what he said:
“But what I don’t understand from Governor Jindal is what would he do?,” asks Joe Biden while on the Early Show.
That rhetorical question to Governor Jindal on the Early Show, was followed with this.“in Louisiana there’s 400 people a day losing their jobs, what’s he doing?” asks Biden. KLSA
Now, to the toadies who drink Obama Kool Aid and blindly follow him this statement will be taken as gospel and used to show how Republicans are out of touch. I mean, here is Jindal saying that Obama has it wrong when 146,000 of his state’s people are losing their jobs each year. The problem is, Biden was wrong. Like he does so often, Biden pulled numbers out of his…er.. donkey.
According to the same article:
“In December, Louisiana was the only state in the nation besides the District of Columbia, according to the national press release that added employment over the month,” says Patty Granier with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. According to her, not only is Louisiana not losing jobs. “The state gained 3,700 jobs for the seasonally adjusted employment,” Granier said of the most recent figures.
You don’t even have to take my word for it, these are number you can check out yourself if you just go to laworks.net, there you can find the latest unemployment statistics, statistics that appear to directly contradict what the vice president said this morning.
The latest stats show this – from the week ending January 17th there were 4,527 claims for unemployment insurance in Louisiana, for the next week, that number receded to 4,179.
Folks who crunch the numbers credit a diverse economy for Louisiana’s resilience to unemployment.
The article states it is unclear where the VP gets his numbers.
I think I already pointed that out…

Can We Get Iraq To Keep Him?
Jan 12, 2009 Political
Senator Joe Biden is in Iraq on a tour of the country that the US brought from dictatorship to a fragile democracy. It is unclear as to what Biden actually is doing there when he is only one week away from taking office as the Vice President but I suspect he is there on Obama business.
I referred to Biden as Senator Biden for a reason. He was elected with Obama to run the country but insisted on swearing in as a Senator, so for now he is a Senator and I believe that he is in Iraq ostensibly, as one.
Obama is big on saying there is only one president at a time and he needs to look like he is not stepping on toes so Biden swears in as a Senator and goes on a trip in that capacity and it will look like Senate business.
Maybe that is the skeptic in me but I don’t trust any of them. It could be that Joe wanted to visit his son (who is serving there) on the taxpayer dime. It would save him on airfare and he could personally deliver his message that daddy’s Senate seat will be held for him for two years until he can make it home safely (which I certainly hope he does).
What I want to know is, can we get Iraq to keep him? They need someone to replace Baghdad Bob. You remember him? He was the guy who kept saying the infidels were not near Baghdad and were dying in the streets as American tanks were rolling by. Well, Biden is perfect for a gig like that. He knows how to tell a lie with the best of them and he is a propaganda guru.
They can even call him the Grand Wizard of Ministry Propaganda and name him Obama bin Biden (PBUH).
It would not last long. They would ship him home before too long. Even the yarn spinning Muslims could only tolerate him for so long. Besides, they are still ticked at him for the plan to divide the country.
Then again, maybe Biden is there to confirm for Obama that the surge really did not work, just as the sainted one has maintained despite information to the contrary.

Cheney Smacks Biden
Dec 21, 2008 Political
This is cross posted from my friend Ms. Underestimated’s site.
On today’s Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Chris had an exclusive interview with V.P. Dick Cheney. This particular portion deals with what Biden has said in the past about Cheney being the most “dangerous” vice president in history. Heh. You know what’s coming next.
Transcript from Fox News:
WALLACE: During the vice presidential debate in October, Joe Biden was asked about your interpretation of the powers of your office as vice president, and here’s what he said.
BIDEN: Vice President Cheney’s been the most dangerous vice president we’ve had probably in American history.
WALLACE: Transition officials say that Biden plans to shrink his office, that he is not going to meet with Senate Democrats the way you did every week with Senate Republicans, that he is not going to have his own, quote, “shadow government” in the White House.
Biden has said that he believes you have dangerously expansive views of executive power.
CHENEY: Well, I just fundamentally disagree with him. He also said that the — all the powers and responsibilities of the executive branch are laid out in Article 1 of the Constitution. Well, they’re not. Article 1 of the Constitution is the one on the legislative branch.
Joe’s been chairman of the Judiciary Committee, a member of the Judiciary Committee in the Senate, for 36 years, teaches constitutional law back in Delaware, and can’t keep straight which article of the Constitution provides for the legislature and which provides for the executive.
So I think — I write that off as campaign rhetoric. I don’t take it seriously. And if he wants to diminish the office of vice president, that’s obviously his call.
I think that President-elect Obama will decide what he wants in a vice president. And apparently, from the way they’re talking about it, he does not expect him to have as consequential a role as I’ve had during my time.
OUCH! That’s GOTTA leave a mark! I honestly think that if Cheney would have run for President, he would have had a really good shot. In fact, a long-held “political fantasy” of mine would have been a “Lynn Cheney for President” ticket! I DEFINITELY would have been behind that one.
Big Dog’s Comment: VP Dick Cheney has been made out to be a villain but he has done a decent job as VP. As an individual he has given millions of dollars to charity, far more than his successor has given in his entire life.
Biden is a moron who will say about anything and often speaks before his brain is engaged. I do believe though that Obama will keep him out of the loop so he does not get in the way of “change.”
Many thanks to Ms. Underestimated for sharing.

Obama Will Bankrupt The Coal Industry
Nov 2, 2008 Political
Swing States Beware
There are a lot of states that rely on the coal industry. Barack Obama says he will bankrupt that industry.
When Joe Biden told people in the rope line that he and Obama were against coal, he was telling the truth regardless of what spin they put on it afterward.

Iran Prepares Obama’s Crisis Test
Nov 1, 2008 Political
When North Korea conducted nuclear tests the MSM were all over that story. It was over a July 4th holiday and my relaxation was interrupted by continual coverage of the nuclear tests and how the Bush administration had failed. I know, you are surprised as well. Clinton gave the NoKos all the stuff they needed to develop nukes and then took a handshake and a nod that they would only use them for good. The ink on the sales receipts was not even dry before Lil’ Kim started on his nuclear program.
Anyway, the point is that the media were all over it. It was reported for a few days and the Democrats made political hay out of saying that Bush took his eye off North Korea and they went nuclear on us.
President Bush has had his eye on Iran for some time now and he has been warning about Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Iran swears (by Allah) that they are only developing nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Right. Bush is not buying it and neither is Israel because Iran would shoot nuclear missiles at Israel to achieve a dream of wiping out that country. Democrats have been sucking their thumbs worrying that President Bush will go to war with Iran over the issue. Democrats are weak on things like war. They vote for wars when it is politically expedient and then call the wars mistakes and say we need to lose quickly. Obama started off as the guy who would bring our troops home TODAY (his words). Now he will do it in a phased fashion.
Back on track though. There were two recent earthquakes in Iran and a top nuclear scientist there is claiming that they were actually tests of nuclear bombs. That could very well be. The entire time Iran told the world that it had suspended enrichment they actually continued to work. For nearly two years Iran continued moving toward nuclear weaponry while the world thought they were on hold.
The Israeli National News is reporting that a scientist from Iran has claimed the earthquakes were nuclear tests and not really earthquakes. I am not sure if there is a way to tell the difference or not so I have no way of knowing if this person is credible. It is also possible that the claim was “leaked” to stir up controversy.
Regardless, how many stories about this have been on the news? Not many and that is because the media does not want to have a national security issue pop up at the last minute and hurt the chances of The Sainted One of becoming president. Remember, Joe Biden told us to mark his words, the world will test Obama and his response might not look right. Given Obama’s antisemitism perhaps the test is, Iran nukes Israel and Obama ignores it.
If this were not an election year the media would be all over it and blaming George Bush. Fortunately, they are only testing so by the time they get to having nukes the new president will be in office and on the job. If it is Obama we can blame it all on him because it happened on his watch. It would have to be his fault anyway because Joe Biden said that an Obama presidency would bring about the crisis.
If McCain is in office I think Iran will reconsider any attacks on our allies.
