More Liberal Sexism

John Neffinger wrote a piece for the Huffington Post in which he is describing how the debate could end up being problematic for Biden:

What if , midway through, Palin is doing okay, or better than okay? If you’re Joe Biden, are you going to just sit there and let her play you to a draw – or beat you? On the biggest stage Biden has ever been on, is he going to let himself get shown up by someone everybody knows is an idiot? Or does Biden get agitated, and start looking for opportunities to attack, to pin Palin down, to put her in her place? If Biden stops playing it safe, all bets are off. He might be brilliant, but things might also go horribly wrong. Huffington Post [emphasis mine]

I guess the left was not clear enough when it spent the last month telling us that Palin was a disgraceful mother because she worked instead of taking care of her children and because she gave birth to a child with a genetic disorder. She is less than a woman because she believes in having children rather than murdering them and Sandra Bernhard would like to see her raped by big black men (imagine if Imus had made a remark about big black men being rapists).

So this nimrod wants Palin put in her place. And what place is that, perhaps in the kitchen fetchin’ her man a brew or gettin’ vittles ready for the younguns?

Imagine how it would have played had Hillary won the nomination and a writer said that McCain had to put her in her place. And I know without a single doubt in my military mind that if a writer, in a pre debate article about Obama and McCain, had said; “McCain needs to attack quickly and put him in his place” the cry of racism would be heard from coast to coast. This would be another code word for racism.

All of this is ground clutter but it points out the hypocrisy of the idiots on the left and their supposed party of tolerance. They are fond of telling women they can achieve anything but only so long as they remain subservient to the ideals of the far left feminazis. Any independent woman who is conservative is not worthy of all that life has to offer.

The only way that Palin could get in their good graces would be to sacrifice her newborn son and call it a very late term abortion.

Fortunately, she has more class than that and higher moral standards than the liberal baby murderers.

The debate will be fun and either of them could win. Though wouldn’t it be nice if Palin puts Biden in his place?

Biden The Gaffe Factory And Other Interesting Things

Joe Biden has been a walking gaffe machine for the past few weeks. I imagine that Ole Joe has allowed Jack Daniels do the talking and it has gotten him in trouble (though Biden can make great gaffes when he is completely sober). Yesterday, here is what the man who has a higher IQ than you said:

“When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.” Yahoo

The only problem is that Herbert Hoover was the president when the market crashed in 1929. FDR took office in 1933. The television was not commercially available until the mid 1930s. FDR was the first president on TV though. He appeared in 1939 at the NY World’s Fair.

A University of Massachusetts chaplain offered college credits to students who campaigned for Barack Obama. The school has disavowed itself but there is no indication if the plan will still go forward. Perhaps the school could step in and stop this activity that might run afoul of state ethics laws. [Boston Herald]

A fifth grader in Colorado was suspended for wearing an anti Obama T Shirt. The shirt read “Obama is a terrorist’s best friend.” A student at another school was forced to remove a shirt depicting an American Flag. He had to wear a bright yellow shirt that read; “DCV: Dress Code Violator.” If he had burned the flag they would have given him 2 extra college credits…. There might be some hope, students are planning to carry flags and wear red, white, and blue to school. Next thing you know they will be bitterly clinging to guns and religion. The FBI is investigating Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, and Lehman Brothers to see if any illegal activities, like fraud, took place. The feds will be looking at the companies and the Senior Management. Good, it is about time. If they go deep enough they can hang quite a few Democrats and former Clinton people. [My Way News]

Iran’s baboon president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, declared that the US was on the verge of collapse and should end its military involvement in other countries. I wonder if anyone made a speech saying that Iran should stop its involvement in other countries. Did anyone remind him that Iran is a top sponsor of terror and that it should stop arming Hamas and Hezbolla? This sawed off ape should be dragged around Ground Zero in New York by a New York City firetruck. [My Way News]

Biden; Forced Down, Forced Out?

Joe Biden has been embellishing a story just a little bit and that story is that his helicopter was forced down in Afghanistan. While I suppose that we would technically call it forced down, the reality is that it landed because of weather. So, if I stretch it, the weather forced it down. But I guess it does not sound as heroic to say our helicopter was forced to land because the weather turned bad. That shows that a pilot had good sense and took care of his ship and his passengers. It is much more glamorous to say that it was forced down leaving the impression that Russian Migs, Ack Acks, missiles, small arms fire or even a mechanical malfunction had literally forced the helicopter down and that Biden was in real danger.

This is the line of thinking that makes it more glamorous to say that “I landed under sniper fire after the pilot spiraled in like a corkscrew and then I ran for cover” than to say “we had an uneventful landing and a band and school children greeted us and then we walked to a car and were driven away.”

Joe Biden has mentioned being forced down one other time and he did so again today at a National Guard conference in Baltimore. John McCain spoke there yesterday and there is no doubt the Guardsmen respected him and honored his service. It was also obvious that he was comfortable there. Biden had to follow that and try to make people believe he has some relevance. McCain is a war hero so Biden had to embellish a story in order to sound like he can connect with the troops.

In reality, the conference went from hero to zero.

I think the troops noticed that as well.

Rumor has it that Biden will be replaced by Clinton after the VP debate because of a previously undisclosed illness. I don’t think it holds much water but the left is awfully uncomfortable with Palin. Biden’s daily gaffes are not helping. I guess it is likely he will no more be forced out than he was forced down.

Will they force him out?

The Palin Factor

Governor Sarah Palin has energized the Republican base and John McCain is bringing in the Independents. Despite what some say the Democrats are running scared. Folks in California, which should easily go to Obama, are organizing and working in nearby swing states in order to swing the vote in the Republican’s direction. According to the San Francisco Chronicle:

Post-convention swing state polls are tipping toward Sen. John McCain, the TV pundits are waxing about “The Palin Factor,” and Sen. Barack Obama’s California supporters are freaking out about a race Democrats were uncommonly confident about only a month ago.
~snip~
So Californians seeking to get involved in either campaign have options: pick up the phone, get on a plane, or hop in a car and contact a voter in a swing state that’s still in play. Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado are the closest swing states. Most of the Great Lakes states are still up for grabs, and Florida always beckons.

While it is true that any post convention bounce has been erased, a statement true for each campaign, this is a year in which Democrats were expected to roll to victory. Barack Obama made a few tactical errors and has been unable to completely regroup. He failed to pick Clinton as his running mate, a move that would have guaranteed him the White House, and he was taken by surprise by the Palin selection which caused him to respond very negatively. Obama’s most important selection to date was for VP and he blew that. Then he compounded things by insulting Governor Palin and his surrogates have unleashed a lot of trash that has failed to get them anywhere. In fact, there are many who were turned off by the attacks, especially the ones on her kids. The hacking of her email account also brought negative attention especially since Obama had just told his followers to “get in their faces.”

Several of the pundits have said the Palin fervor will wear off and the race will tighten or move in Obama’s favor. While national polls show Obama with a small lead the electoral college is extremely tight with a number of surprise states up for grabs. It is possible that we will have another election where the person with the highest number of votes will lose. Thank goodness the Founders had the sense to make the election 50 individual elections.

Has the Palin influence worn off? Was she a flash in the pan or does she have appeal? While Barack Obama was in Florida telling lies to senior citizens about Social Security Sarah Palin was there to discuss the issues. She drew a crowd of 60,000 people who were interested in what she had to say. So, if the Palin influence is wearing off, then why is she drawing such large crowds? Florida was considered to be very much in play but I have read Obama might scale back there if McCain increases his lead so that money can be concentrated in other battleground states. Another Obama error might have been saying no to federal funds. He might not raise the money needed to compete so he will have to concentrate in states where he has the best chances to win.

I think the next few weeks will be pretty exciting. I am looking forward to the debates. I want to see the open style for the presidential candidates but I am very interested in the VP debates. I think if Palin holds her own with Biden or wins then the balance of power will swing. Of course, Palin is at a disadvantage because she has to fight Biden and the media wing of the Obama campaign. But she is tough enough.

Sarah Palin is here to stay and she will have a lot of influence on this election. The rumors are that Biden will get some previously undisclosed illness and be replaced with Hillary. That would make things interesting but it would lead to questions about Obama’s leadership abilities. There are not many chances for do-overs in the White House.

Get the popcorn, this is going to be fun.

Obama, Not McCain, Is Stuck In The Past

The newest Obama attack ad portrays John McCain as a man who is stuck in the past. I wrote about this earlier and indicated that though the ad claims that McCain can’t use the Internet, it does not make it clear that he uses it with help. You see, John McCain knows how it all works, he just can’t use it because the North Vietnamese broke his fingers a lot so McCain can’t type. He reads his email and his wife types his responses for him.

Regardless of Obama’s obvious ignorance of this issue (his ads seem to keep demonstrating his ignorance), the ad is disingenuous, misleading and hypocritical for another reason and that is, Barack Obama is actually the one stuck in the past.

Obama has been claiming to be an agent of change and he has stated that it will not be politics as usual in DC when The One arrives to take over the place. No one with any brains believes this (given his old style Chicago tactics) but it sounds good and it makes younger liberal women wet their panties and liberal men drool. The ad is designed to show us that John McCain is stuck in the past and will not bring change to Washington.

But is that the reality? Barack Obama has been saying he is the agent of change and when he had the opportunity to demonstrate that he blew it. Barack Obama chose a running mate who has been part of the Washington DC good ole boy network for 36 years. Instead of demonstrating his conviction to change Obama showed us that he is actually the person who is stuck in the past. His selection of Biden is old school, from a time long ago, a regression rather than a progression and it is counter to all Obama claims to be. Interestingly, there is a low roar that Biden will have some previously undisclosed “illness” that will force him to withdraw. Make no mistake, if Biden leaves it is because he was forced out. Any selection of Clinton from this point on will call Obama’s decision making ability into question.

Now, how about John McCain, the guy Obama paints as being in the past? John McCain selected a running mate who is young and has not been part of the DC political scene EVER. He chose a person who works for the people and not for the government and one who took on corruption in her own state. He selected a person who is the future and not the past. The selection of Sarah Palin demonstrates forward thinking rather than the thinking of someone who is stuck in the past.

Contrast Biden with Palin and then ask yourself which of the two demonstrates change in DC. Ask yourself which presidential candidate chose a running mate that is part of the future and not part of the past.

The ad Barack Obama aired has out of style glasses, a disco ball, a clunky huge mobile phone, and an old monochrome computer. These are all links to the past but Obama left out one very important link to the past in that ad. That link would be his running mate, Joe Biden. Biden is as much a relic as the items displayed but you won’t find him on that film.

No, that relic from the past is right next to Barack Obama, the man who claims to be about the future…
