Forever Ends In November
Aug 21, 2012 Political
Former Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright was out campaigning for Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, mmm) and she told a story about being asked by someone as to how long Obama and the Democrats were going to keep blaming the previous administration for all the current administration’s failures.
Her answer was quite simple and to the point:
Yes, Albright will blame Bush forever but she might be surprised to know that forever, in this case, is not an indefinite period of time. Forever will start its end this November when Obama loses his reelection bid and will officially end in January when Obama is replaced by Mitt Romney.
I know that Romney will not spend time blaming Obama for the troubles that he will inherit because that does not appear to be his style. Real leaders do not blame others for every failure. The American public will know who was to blame and Obama is just one name that will answer that question. There are a number of Democrats in Congress who are also to blame for the mess we are in. Hell, some of the Republicans are to blame as well.
Regardless, Romney will not blame Obama for the high unemployment, the loss of jobs, the record numbers of people who have quit looking or the loss of our AAA rating though all would be appropriate. Instead he will get to work fixing the mess that the children made while they were in charge.
Now it is possible that Obama will win the election. If he does, think of the mess he will inherit.
I wonder if he will blame himself…

Would Obama Be To Blame If We Are Attacked?
Sep 9, 2011 Political
When Bush was president he received briefings about non specific threats from bin Laden and his terror network and the possibility of an attack. There were no specific plans or timelines and the briefing was no different than what had been given to Bill Clinton. There was a threat but when, where, and how were not defined.
The attacks of 9/11 came and the left blamed Bush. They claimed he ignored the warnings from the brief and went on vacation. Bush was to blame, according to the left, because he did not stop an attack that he was briefed about. The fact that the brief was non specific and did not pinpoint any information that could be used to stop the attack made no difference to the left because Bush was to blame. It is like Katrina. The local and State government of New Orleans and Louisiana failed miserably but Bush was to blame. Some claimed he blew the levees on purpose and that he steered the storm to that spot.
The tenth anniversary of 9/11 is a few days away and security has been heightened because of the potential for attacks. Obama has been briefed on a non specific threat that indicates the terror network is working on using car bombs in DC and New York to attack Americans on or around 9/11. The brief is non specific and includes no real actionable intelligence. It is about the same kind of warning that Bush received.
So if, God forbid, we are attacked on 9/11, would Obama be to blame for not stopping it?
I did not blame Bush and certainly would not blame Obama. But the left was all over Bush and held him responsible so if we are attacked would Obama have the same blame since he has received the same kind of briefing for which liberals hold Bush accountable?
Just asking?
I hope we are not attacked but one never knows. Despite the denial by the left, there are people who want us dead.
Be vigilant…

Finding Someone To Blame
Jan 9, 2011 Political
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is in critical condition, many others are wounded and five or six are dead. A gunman began shooting yesterday and caused mayhem in Tuscon. Almost immediately a concerted effort from the left was made to place the blame for this tragedy and the fingers were pointed at the Tea Party, the right wing, and Sarah Palin. This was all coordinated and planned and it is inaccurate,
The left needs someone to blame and they love to pin violence on the Tea party and others even though these groups have not done anything violent (all the violence has been from the left). The website Daily Kos congratulated Sarah Palin for a job well done and displayed the map she used that had bulls eyes on seats that were targeted. While the little weasel at Kos was doing this he scrubbed a post where Giffords was dead to a constituent and failed to mention that he himself had put Giffords on a targeted list of Democrats who were not liberal enough.
The Democrats and its media wing ignored the reports of the shooter being left-wing and listing the Communist Manifesto as his favorite reading material. That would make him a left wing nut, not a right wing one.
I do not believe Kos or anyone else is responsible for what happened. I only point out their actions to show that if we are to believe the claims of talk causing the problem then these people are guilty of the same kind of talk. Therefore, they are as guilty as those they blame.
And if we want to carry it further then Barack Obama is just as much to blame because he is the one who labeled Americans as enemies and urged violence on behalf of his campaign and agenda. We bring a gun, he said. Get in their faces he said. Looks like the whack job who did this brought a gun and got in her face. He is as guilty as anyone else.
That is, if we are laying blame on anyone other than the lunatic who did this.
You see, I know that the only person who is responsible for this tragedy is Jared Loughner. He and he alone is responsible for what happened and he should be prosecuted and, if he is found guilty, executed for his crime. But the absolute truth of the matter is, he is responsible for what took place.
Not Sarah Palin, not Kos, not the right or left wing but Jared Loughner.
And it would be helpful to the political discourse if the politicians, the pundits and the media stopped trying to lay blame on anyone but Loughner.
Congresswoman Giffords and all those affected by this horrible tragedy are in my prayers. They deserve all of our prayers and not this senseless and unfounded finger pointing.

Another News Round Up
Jun 28, 2010 Political
Looks like Obama is not so keen on following his rules about lobbyists:
Despite the job title, McLaughlin wasn’t a registered lobbyist. Still, ethics rules created by an Obama executive order prohibit McLaughlin from “participat[ing] in any particular matter involving specific parties that is directly and substantially related to” Google. But the e-mails show McLaughlin has been involved with formulating policy that directly affects Google, regularly trading e-mails with Google’s “evangelist,” and lobbyist.
~snip~
And only when I followed up with a question about the e-mails with lobbyist Davidson did Weiss admit “they did violate the President’s Ethics Pledge,” and note that McLaughlin had been reprimanded. [emphasis mine] Washington Examiner
Well so much for the no lobbyists lobbying for their special interests. How’s that transparency thing working out for ya?
Iran blinks after much bluster:
Iran will not be sending a blockade-busting ship to Gaza in defiance of Israeli warnings, an Iranian lawmaker said Saturday, citing Israeli “restrictions.” Yahoo News
Iran was going to send the blockade buster to help get “humanitarian” aid ships through. Perhaps the idea of being sunk by the Israeli Navy did not appeal to Iran. Imagine the humiliation if that happened.
Maybe the Islamic radicals don’t care who is leading our country:
As for the revolutionary Islamists–be they al-Qaida, Hamas, Hizballah, the Taliban, and the Muslim Brotherhoods–or the radical regimes–be they Iran, Syria, the de facto Islamic Republic of Gaza, or others–all the U.S. governments are definitely the same. Indeed, they make this point explicitly in their declarations and media every day.
To them, the American people are “all the same” and the American governments are “all the same.” The argument between liberals and conservatives on this point is irrelevant. They hate the United States because of its values and they also hate the United States because of its policies. Gloria Center
While liberals love to exclaim that George Bush made the world, particularly the world of Islam, hate us, the reality is they hated us long before Bush was president. They bombed the WTC the first time under Clinton, attacked the Cole and other targets under Clinton and planned 9/11 under him. They do not like us no matter who is elected to lead us and they will continue to attack us until they are defeated.
How is that citizen of the world plan working out?
Another broken Obama promise? Gitmo remains open.
Stymied by political opposition and focused on competing priorities, the Obama administration has sidelined efforts to close the Guantánamo prison, making it unlikely that President Obama will fulfill his promise to close it before his term ends in 2013.
~snip~
“The president can’t just wave a magic wand to say that Gitmo will be closed,” said a senior administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss internal thinking on a sensitive issue. The New York Times
Obama can’t wave a magic wand and make things happen but he sure acted like it when, with much fanfare, he signed the Executive Order to close it within one year of him taking office. That pen was his magic wand and he waved as if his deeming it so would make it happen.
This is what you get when you put someone with no leadership experience in charge.
Joe Biden Admits they can’t recover the jobs.
Vice President Joe Biden gave a stark assessment of the economy today, telling an audience of supporters, “there’s no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession.” CBS News
Biden goes on to do what has become the main theme of this regime, blame it all on Bush. That excuse is getting old. Hey Joe, the mess belongs to you and you and Obama got it because you convinced America you could fix things.
Now you admit that you can’t.
Is ACORN running the Census?
Two Census Bureau managers from a Brooklyn field office were fired after their bosses found they faked household surveys to meet deadlines, the Daily News learned.
Instead of pounding the pavement and knocking on doors, the corner-cutting people-counters mined the phone book and Internet to make up answers to questionnaires, regional director Tony Farthing said. NY Daily News
This census has been poorly run and has cost billions more than any previous census. Perhaps that is because the Obama regime is using numbers of census employees to artificially lower the unemployment rate. These people are counted as new jobs but will be gone in a few months.
The folks who did this should be prosecuted for falsifying a government record. This is what happens when a corrupt regime runs things.
Biden calls store manager a Smart ass. Custard’s last stand:
Joe Biden, VP of the Obama regime, was out getting a frozen custard (he thought he was getting ice cream) and when he asked how much he owed the manager said not to worry about it, “It’s on us.” Then the manager told Biden to lower our taxes and we will call it even. Biden told the man to say something nice instead of being a smart ass. I thought the request for lower taxes was saying something nice.
This is the disdain the regime has for the average guy on the street. If you think you are paying too much in taxes and express that thought you are being a smart ass. This is because the regime, with people like Biden who have NO business experience, think they know better than you. Shut up you serfs and quit being smart asses. We know what is best for you.
Extending an open hand to Iran:
CIA Director Leon Panetta says Iran probably has enough low-enriched uranium for two nuclear weapons, but that it likely would take two years to build the bombs.
Panetta also says he is doubtful that recent U.N. penalties will put an end to Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Yahoo News
It would seem as if the Obama doctrine of bowing to all the world leaders and extending an open hand to the bad people of the world has not paid off.
The Iranian leadership knows Obama is weak and they are pushing the limits. They have enough nuclear material for two bombs and will have those bombs in the near future (and probably sooner than the estimated two years).
How is that world experience working out for ya?
Never surrender, never submit.

Obama Blames DOD for Trip Cancellation
Jul 25, 2008 Military, Political
I wrote yesterday and the Conservative part of the Internet was abuzz with the story that Barack Obama had pulled out of a visit with wounded troops in Germany. My original piece discussed an issue with the DOD indicating that Obama could only go there in the capacity of a Senator and that campaign personnel could not accompany him. The DOD is saying that it only reminded the Senator of the law against campaigning on military installations and as part of that he could only bring Congressional staffers. He had to leave campaign staff and the media behind (the military would provide photographers). The DOD states that it left the decision as to whether to show or not up to Obama. We know what decision he made. The article indicates the DOD did not even make a judgment as to whether he was visiting or campaigning. It just reminded him of the rules.
“Sen. Obama is welcome to visit Landstuhl or any military hospital in his official capacity as a United States senator,” Morrell said in a brief interview. “But there is a DoD policy which governs campaigning and electioneering at military facilities that would have to be respected if he were to visit. That distinction was relayed and made clear to campaign, and they made a decision on their own based on that guidance.” Politico
But wait, there’s more. After the backlash of criticism for dissing the troops the Obama campaign has stated that they were told by the DOD not to show up. The campaign’s take on the situation is completely different than the one the DOD described. I am sure the DOD account is the accurate one. The DOD does not tell members of Congress that they cannot visit. They will tell them the guidelines, in this case the law, but they will not deny a member of Congress access to a DOD facility.
It would appear as if Obama wanted to visit the hospitals under the guise of being a visiting Senator but that he had plans to use the visit for the campaign. This would explain why he did not just leave his campaign staff and the MSM behind and make the trip. He wanted the MSM there to record his every move so that the film could later be used as a campaign ad to show how in touch with the troops he really is. When his bluff was called with the pesky rules, he decided not to go. Remember, Obama said in his speech that he was not there as a candidate for the presidency and then promptly sent an email about the speech asking for donations. He was there to campaign despite what he says (some of that speech will be used in campaign ads).
The decision not to go was entirely Obama’s. He had the opportunity to meet with wounded warriors and chose not to because he could not make it a campaign visit. The campaign’s attempt to shift the blame for this to the DOD is cowardly and irresponsible. It is a sign or poor leadership to abandon subordinates when the going gets tough or things do not go your way. Obama abandoned them on the battlefield a log time ago and now he has abandoned them during their recuperation from terrible injuries. This guy is not fit to be the leader of these fine men and women. Obama does not have the ability to take responsibility for his actions. It always has to be someone else’s fault.
That is not the DOD he knew…
