Republicans Will Take Care Of Pelosi
Oct 17, 2010 Political
It seems that all of the sudden Nancy Pelosi is not popular with many Democrats, especially those who voted with her nearly all the time. While these Democrats were busy playing the game and allowing Pelosi to lead them around by the nose, their constituents began to pay attention. These people supported the out-of-touch Speaker and they will pay for it. They learned too late that she is in a safe seat and will be reelected. She is so certain of reelection that she will not debate her opponent because “time is money” (and her time in charge has cost us plenty).
I wrote before about Democrats claiming to vote with the GOP more than their party and told you that a Republican would give you a better percentage so vote out the Democrat. Now those Democrats are going one step further and saying that if they are reelected they will not vote for Pelosi as Speaker. This position assumes several things. First, that Democrats are going to keep control of the House. That is not going to happen. Second, that we trust them to do what they say. And third, that their votes would make a difference in selection of the Speaker.
I want to ease the minds of these Democrats who are trying to be more and more conservative in order to win. Do not worry about not voting for Pelosi as Speaker because the voters are going to fire her from that job.
So, just like I said we did not need you if your claim to fame is that you voted more with the GOP than your own party, we do not need you to get rid of Pelosi.
We are going to get rid of that pip-squeak, military plane and tax payer abusing progressive jackass ourselves.
So, looks like we don’t need you folks for this one either.
Perhaps you should have been listening to your constituents. If you had, they might be interested in listening to you.
It must be a terrible feeling to know that their blind faith in Pelosi and Obama is going to cost them their jobs. I wonder why they bit the bullet for Obama when they knew it would be political suicide.
No matter, they swallowed the cyanide, now let them die.
Next time maybe politicians will listen to the people they represent rather than the guy who is not on the ballot (and who does not care about them).
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Ted Kennedy Speaks Out
Jul 20, 2009 Political
No, not about Mary Jo Kopechne, who he murdered 40 years ago, but about health care in the US. Kennedy took to the pages of NewsWEAK to lay out his vision for universal health care. Obama and the Democrats are pulling out all the stops because this bill is on life support and is losing the support of Democrats as each day passes by.
While Kennedy uses the piece to lay out the position, one which he says he fought for for the past four decades, the message is still the same misleading information coming out of the White House. Kennedy claims that people will be able to keep what they have and that everyone will be required to have health insurance.
The first thing to realize is that the bill is loaded with language that prevents people from having their own insurance. All plans must meet the standards set by the government and if anything in the plan changes (like a co-pay) then the plan will not be legal. The entire system is designed to move people away from private insurance and to government run health care. The cost of this plan will be in the trillions of dollars and this is to provide health care to the 12 million or so people who genuinely cannot afford it.
As for the estimated 47 million not covered by health insurance, 20 million can afford to buy it, according to a study by former CBO Director June O’Neill. Most of the other 27 million are single and under 35, with as many as a third illegal aliens.
When it’s all whittled down, as few as 12 million are unable to buy insurance — less than 4% of a population of 305 million. For this we need to nationalize 17% of our nation’s $14 trillion economy and change the current care that 89% like? IBD
This amounts to nothing more than greater government control over our lives. People should be able to decide whether or not they want insurance and if they incur a medical bill they should be required to pay it. There are consequences to actions and deciding not to have health care coverage can have drastic consequences. As for those who cannot afford it, there are plenty of government plans already designed to help them.
The push by Kennedy is the latest in the saga of dwindling support. Democrats are abandoning this plan because it is costly and those who live in more conservative districts are worried about reelection. Obama and the supporters of this debacle want it passed quickly because the longer it festers the less support it has from the public. Rasmussen has a poll showing support has dwindled to 35% with 50% opposing.
Government run health care will concern itself with costs and not coverage. There is a valid argument that private insurance does the same thing. If government regulations requiring certain coverages were removed and if people were allowed to shop across state lines then there would be more competition which would help keep costs down and force companies to provide more coverage. If the government is involved there are no such worries. The government will not pay all the taxes that insurance companies pay (and if they go out of business where will that revenue come from) and the government can raise taxes when it needs more money. This will eventually hit the pockets of middle class Americans and it will lead to rationing and denial of care to those the government deems too costly to treat. A provision in the bill requires the elderly to be counseled on end of life care:
One troubling provision of the House bill compels seniors to submit to a counseling session every five years (and more often if they become sick or go into a nursing home) about alternatives for end-of-life care (House bill, p. 425-430). The sessions cover highly sensitive matters such as whether to receive antibiotics and “the use of artificially administered nutrition and hydration.”
This mandate invites abuse, and seniors could easily be pushed to refuse care. Do we really want government involved in such deeply personal issues? New York Post
Some of these decisions are valid and people go through them everyday but they should be the ones taking care of this. Government does not belong this involved. The NYP piece highlights many areas of the bill that people should find troubling.
As the Democrats pull out all stops to pass this monstrosity it is important to note that the vote on an amendment to require all members who vote for it, their staff and family members to sign up for the care was opposed by almost all the Democrats. They want it for you but it is not good enough for them. They work for us and they need to remember it. If they do not want it then we should not be forced to take it. At least they have a vote in the matter as it affects them. We have no such luxury.
The Democrats are running ads targeting their own in areas where their members of Congress, who oppose the bill, reside. The ads are aimed at the members of Congress which means the leadership knows this is in trouble. They are willing to risk losing seats in 2010 in order to hang this boat anchor around our necks.
Ted Kennedy has pushed himself away from the bar long enough to have his speechwriter pen the article describing why this is important and to garner support. On the 40th anniversary of the murder he committed, Kennedy is now trying to murder the American health care system.
As has been the case for the last 4 decades, Mary Jo Kopechne is unavailable for comment.

Fighting For Health Care Coverage
Jul 18, 2009 Political
Obama and many of his left wing followers are looking to salvage their health care plan and ram it through before the Summer recess. They need to pass it now or people will have a lot of time to dig in and see how truly flawed it is. The more people know, the more they oppose and Obama cannot have this.
The bill they are working on does allow you to keep the coverage you have (assuming that employers who provide will not cancel) but you cannot change. There is a provision that specifically forbids people from purchasing insurance on their own. The fewer choices people see the more they will oppose.
Obama and the Dems are meeting resistance from so called moderate or “Blue Dog” Democrats. These are the ones who pretend to be moderate because they come from moderate or conservative regions of the country and they do not want to be voted out of office. What they normally do is oppose something and then get a concession (some small bone) and then they claim to have fought and won so they can rally folks at home to vote for them. They want the same things other Democrats want but they have to pretend more than usual to be moderate. Remember, if Democrats actually campaigned on their true beliefs they would not win office. No one would have voted for Obama if he had lain out all these plans on the trail. He lied to get elected.
We are now bombarded with lies. Pelosi says that they have the backing of the American People. That is untrue. Most people agree we need reform but that government is not the answer, despite the few flawed polls that came out before this monstrosity was unveiled. There are tax increases, there is a denial of freedom of choice, and there is the government telling people how they will conduct the business of their OWN health care.
Only lemmings like to be led around but then again there are many lemmings on the left who need government to tell them when to go to the bathroom. They need to be provided for because they are not man or woman enough to provide for themselves. Any person who thinks it is government’s job to provide for people or who live off the government (which is really living off other taxpayers) is not a total person. They are the three fifths person that the Constitution discussed. They are NOT whole people. THis means people who have the means to work and to take care of themselves. Of course there are small minority populations in any society that need special care (though families should provide it). We already have programs to assist these kinds of people.
Yes, health care coverage needs to be looked at because over regulation and state mandates have allowed monopolies. We need an OPEN market where people can shop around. More companies providing more choices leads to lower prices and better competition. Government involvement leads to rules forcing compliance on your personal choices, rules forbidding you to choose, and eventual destruction of private insurance companies.
The eventual outcome is that states lose their control (which is monopolistic anyway and should include competition) and the feds take over. What happens when states start telling the feds that the government plan must meet state standards and that state taxes and fees need to be paid? What happens when state insurance commissioners claim they are in charge and order the feds around?
We are certain to see a violation of the Tenth Amendment (more so than we see everyday).
Government does not belong in private business and it does not belong providing health care insurance to people. Our Constitution does not provide for this so called “right” and we cannot allow the feds to take over more control of our lives.
People must fight now to stop this. Let your members of Congress know you will vote for their opponent in the next election if they vote yes on this (or cap and trade) and refuse to donate to anyone.
We need to be tough because Chicago thug Obama and hiz posse is working hard to screw you before you know it. They are sending out the thugs to break legs and hide bodies. Do not let them roll over you. They work for us, not the other way around.
Fire them!
