California Is Wrong On Immigration

And that state might find out how wrong very soon.
The Trump Administration is suing California claiming the state interfered with immigration enforcement. It is about time a sanctuary state has been taken to court and if things go well we will see a change in sanctuary policies because no court can reasonably uphold this kind of nonsense.
First things first. The Governor, Jerry Brown and his Attorney General, Xavier Becerra are claiming that the federal government has no right here and that the Tenth Amendment is involved and as such they have a right to do as they wish. They are mistaken, of course. The Tenth Amendment only applies to things the Constitution does not delegate to the federal government or prohibit from the states.

Immigration is not specifically mentioned in the Constitution but the US is granted the power over immigration in Article 1, Section 8, paragraph 10 (Power… To define and punish … offenses against the Law of Nations). There is an excellent article outlining this here. It is important to note that the state of Arizona passed its own immigration reform laws during the Obama regime and those laws nearly mirrored the federal laws. The Court struck those laws down (they were challenged by the Obama regime) because the federal government has supremacy in immigration law (that is the ruling).
Why would Arizona have these laws if they are the same as the feds? Because the federal government was not enforcing the law. The state passed the laws so it could protect itself from the harm federal inaction caused. The Court shot it down. Obama wanted it shot down so that illegals would be able to stay here. This was all swell with liberals because it gave them what they wanted.
Now the feds are challenging California because its laws are opposite federal law and they are preventing the federal government from doing its job. The airhead politicos in CA think they have the right to do this. Funny thing is CA is never concerned with any other state’s right to do things. CA is opposed to states that ban abortion or same sex marriage and will speak out against them. If CA believes it has the right to ignore federal law why can’t other states do so as well?

The state of California is on shaky ground here BUT it could very well win the suit. Look at how many activist judges have ruled improperly on many issues that have been challenged since Trump became president. These judges base their rulings on their political views and ignore the Constitution for fear of not being invited to the next big liberal cocktail party. Hell, I would not be surprised if the same court that ruled against Arizona ruled in favor of California. This is how out of control the judiciary is.
I think this will eventually make it to the Supreme Court and if those cowards don’t punt the ruling should go in favor of the federal government and against CA. Imagine if CA loses. The cities and states that are sanctuary will start to fall once swept up in the domino effect.
For a very long time liberal policies on immigration have been pushed while the rule of law ignored. Donald Trump is finally enforcing the laws and the liberals do not like it. It is about time we started fighting back against this insanity.
If there is justice in the world we will all see Governor Brown and his AG shown for the fools they are.

Wealthy Liberals And The Environment

California is in the middle of a water shortage partly because of a drought and partly because of environmental policies that rob people of water. Things are so bad that Governor Moonbeam Brown has imposed water restrictions for the first time in the state’s history. People will be fined for using too much water.
Want a long hot shower? Too bad! You stay in the shower too long and it will cost you a little more.
The wealthy though don’t seem to care too much. Their water usage is much higher than the peon class.
I am sure some of those wealthy folks are conservatives but given the wealthy areas in question and given the demographics of the state it is safe to assume that most of the wealthy who are using all the water are liberals.
These folks are supposed to be the ones who care about the environment and mother earth. I guess that all goes down the drain (pun intended) when their beautifully landscaped properties are involved.
All these rich people are ignoring the environment and the serious water crisis so that they can have lush green lawns and healthy productive fruit trees.
The poor have to cut back and skip showers to avoid fines while the rich ignore the problem because they want the water and can afford any fines they get.
This is not an uncommon thought pattern for liberals. They keep pushing the myth about manmade global warming and then ride in limousines, chartered airplanes and private helicopters to jaunt around town. They use plenty of fossil fuels to provide them with convenience and comfort while telling the rest of us to cut back before we melt from the temperature rise.
They scream that we all need to pay more in taxes and then they find ways to avoid paying them.
Liberals in the entertainment business claim to support unions and then do their work in Canada using non union labor while paying lower wage rates.
So in reality it should surprise absolutely no one that these folks are not complying with water restrictions.
These inconveniences do not apply to them and they will not comply with the restrictions.
Moonbeam will not go too hard on them because he needs their political donations.
And if things get too bad they can afford to move someplace else. Maybe they can try Massachusetts.
After last winter they have enough water to supply just about everyone…

Good Thing Maryland Has Tough Gun Control

I have said it before but it bears repeating, gun laws do not prevent criminals from getting and using guns any more than drug laws keep people from getting and using drugs.
Maryland is a liberal/progressive state that does not believe in the Constitution or freedom. That might have changed a bit with the election of Larry Hogan but his election appears to be more related to the economy and taxes than the gun laws though pro Second Amendment voters were certainly motivated this year.
In any event, the laws were enacted under Martin O’Malley and Anthony Brown and the stated goal was to lower gun related crime. The real goal was to get votes and to restrict people but liberals can never say what they really want to do or they would be rejected outright.
Looks like these laws are working so well that Baltimore, which has long been the gun crime area of the state, has been listed as one of the most violent cities in the world.
Read that again. Baltimore is not simply one of the most violent cities in our country; no it is one of the most violent in the WORLD.
Think about all the violent places in the Middle East and all the places where people are ruled by tyrannical governments and Baltimore ranks right up there with them (and probably ahead of some of them).
The Second Amendment, despite what liberals claim, is there to protect a preexisting God given right for free people to keep and bear arms. The primary purpose is to ensure people are armed and able to resist a tyrannical government and that is why liberals want so badly to take that right away.
They know they are tyrants and they know they can never rule over people completely until those people have been stripped of their right to resist.
Martin O’Malley and Anthony Brown are two such tyrants and they pushed their gun bill through in order to further restrict people and to tighten their grip on the collective throats of the citizens of Maryland.
Fortunately, Brown lost his bid to become the governor but that is only a small part of the problem. Annapolis is full of liberal/progressives who want nothing more than to force their will upon the people.
Gun control does not work with regard to its stated purpose and it will not work with regard to the unstated purpose of removing the means to resist.
At least so long as patriots are willing to stand up to the tyranny.

Will This Make A Difference?

There is a report that the guy who was with Michael Brown, Dorian Johnson, has recanted his statement concerning what happened just before Brown was shot. Recall that Johnson said that Brown had his hands up and that Officer Wilson shot him in the back.
We know this was false because the autopsy shows that all shots entered from the front.
Where Johnson has changed his story is the part about Brown attacking Wilson. Now Johnson says that Brown did get into a physical confrontation with Officer Wilson AND that Brown tried to take his gun.

This is from a radio station that indicates it heard from a connected source. I have not seen any confirmation of this so I can only say that it was reported but not verified.
My question is will it make a difference? Now that the race baiters have planted their seeds and now that the rioters have caused mayhem and now that Eric Holder is on his way to the scene will it make a difference? The people who are calling for the arrest (and worse yet, the execution) of Wilson will not believe any other story than the one that they first heard and first believed. They had to have a story that fit their narrative of racial targeting and oppression of the black man and that is what they will stick with.
If there are no charges filed against Wilson then Ferguson MO will erupt in such a fashion that the past week will look like a Girl Scout campfire.
It is also important to note that no matter what the evidence presented Eric Holder will file some kind of civil rights suit against Officer Wilson. Holder will disregard any evidence that would prevent him from targeting Wilson because Holder hates white people.
There are plenty of witnesses and evidence is mounting that supports the officer’s version of the event but this will not matter and all hell will break loose if Wilson is not charged, tried, found guilty and executed.
Nothing else will please the race baiters who have used this event to raise funds and register voters (and loot for free stuff).
The truth does not matter to the race industry. The agenda is what is important.
Perhaps people should have waited for the evidence before they went bat crap crazy…

At Least Police Officers Are Safer

Police officers carry firearms for one reason and that reason is to protect themselves. There is nothing wrong with that because there are a lot of really bad people in the world and the police get to deal with those bad folks so they should be able to protect themselves.
I don’t think anyone would disagree with that.
Looks like the police are safer as a new report shows that the number of law enforcement officers killed by a firearm in 2013 is at its lowest since the Wild West days. More officers were killed in traffic related accidents than by a firearm (half as many died of a heart attack).
This is great news for police officers.
For the regular person who lives in a state that infringes on rights the news is not so good. Those states restrict or ban (with unconstitutional laws) the right of the people to keep and bear arms. While police officers carry firearms to protect themselves the people they serve are denied that right.
The People’s Republik of Maryland is one such place. The Socialist Governor Martin O’Malley (who wants to be President) and his band of thieves in Annapolis have passed restrictive gun laws that violate the rights of the people who are supposed to be free citizens of the state (his Lt. Governor Anthony Brown is running to replace him. Brown, an Army veteran, is a socialist and supports gun control). Maryland likes to call itself the Free State but it is nothing of the sort.
The number of murders by firearms in Baltimore alone is about 9 times that of police officers NATIONWIDE. The people murdered with firearms were the victims (though often other criminals) of people who have no regard for the law and who do not obtain their firearms legally.
But the Socialist politicians in this state think law abiding citizens (who happen to be THEIR bosses) are the problem and have enacted laws that only affect those who follow the law.
Police officers have jobs that put them in harm’s way. They carry firearms to protect themselves. The people who are denied the right to keep and bear arms are not supposed to be in danger when they go about their lives. But as I stated earlier, it is a dangerous world and criminals love to go after unarmed people.
The people who are denied by their oppressive government (and Maryland is not the only place) are prey to those who have no regard for and do not follow the law.
So while it is great that fewer police officers were killed with firearms the reality is the people who live in tyrannical areas of the country (Maryland being one such place) are at the mercy of criminals and more of us are being murdered by them.
Unfortunately, some police officers support more gun control and take great pride in upholding unconstitutional gun grabbing laws for their puppet masters in the legislature.
Happy New Year. May it come with the overturning of all unconstitutional gun laws so we the people can once again be free.
That, after all, is the best way (but not the ONLY way) for us to regain our rights.
