Obama’s Bill Slaps Black Americans Back To The Mat
Feb 18, 2009 Political
The bill that Barack Obama signed into law today will cost future generations money they can ill afford. It is a crime that our grandchildren will be saddled with this kind of debt because of the mismanagement of our government. Lest any liberal give that phony cry about George Bush piling up debt while we remained silent, true conservatives have been against the spending that occurred in the last 8 years. I have been against the out of control spending on social programs and I think the money for the war on terror could have been better managed. However, there were way too many non military spending bills that should never have passed.
Those include the bank bailout and the earlier stimulus checks.
Obama railed against deficit spending and demonized Bush for it. Now, with the stroke of a pen, he has spent the largest amount of money ever spent in one bill in our nation’s history. The unfortunate thing is that it will not work and now that he has what he wants for Democratic special projects, he is scaling back expectations. Hell, some of them admit they don’t know if it will work and they voted for it with their fingers crossed.
Couple that last tid bit with the fact that NOT ONE of them read the thing and you have a classic demonstration of failed leadership. Never mind the fact that Obama and the Democrats broke a number of promises with the way this was handled. That is no surprise to those of us who did not drink the Kool Aid. The reality is, they failed to lead. They voted for a bill that they did not read. The action was irresponsible and clearly demonstrates that these people are not leaders.
The nation could not help but pause when Obama was inaugurated. It was a historic moment for this country to see a black man elected to the highest office. It was hailed as a new era for race relations. It was seen as a sign that blacks have the chance to succeed and it was seen as a step up. Unfortunately, Obama signed a bill that will trap many blacks in generational poverty.
Obama’s cruelest slap was on the face of black Americans. Buried in the bowels of that big government spending bill is a poison pill that kills welfare reform. Welfare money will no longer be used for job training, child care or transportation. Instead, the money will now, once again, be just a government handout that keeps black children trapped in generational poverty. Uncle Sam has replaced the father in the homes of poor blacks because you cannot get a welfare check if there is a man in the house. Democrats have been running black communities for the past 40 years. The socialist polices of the Democrats have created a culture of dependency on government handouts and turned black communities into economic and social wastelands. Socialism is a moral and economic cancer that destroys families, communities and nations.
Many of the liberals who visit here will take issue with this quote and will, as is their habit, throw the word racist around. While I happen to agree with the statement I did not write it. The statement is part of a larger item released by the National Black Republican Association (of which I happen to be a member). The quote was in an email sent by Frances Rice, the Chairman of the NBRA who happens to be black which, I think, qualifies her to speak a bit on the subject. But keep that in mind while you formulate your invective comments.
Welfare reform was one of the really good things that came out of bipartisan work between Republicans in Congress and Democrat Bill Clinton. It helped stop an upward trend in single parent (usually mother) black families and it put people back to work. This is not to indicate that blacks are the only people on welfare but the black community suffers from a disproportionately high number of single parent homes. This is one of the biggest reasons for failures in the black community. Regardless of what the feminists say, a child needs a mother and a father in order to have the best chance for success.
Chairman Rice is absolutely correct in her assessment. It should not surprise anyone that the Democrats are once again suppressing blacks. Their party’s history is replete with racism and discrimination against blacks.
However, one would have thought that having a black president would have changed things. For all the talk of change, things seem to be the same.

Obama; The Highest Ethical Standards – EVER!
Feb 10, 2009 Political
Barack Obama went out on his scare people into supporting the “stimulus” package tour and the questions asked of him were about his nominees who were tax challenged. Obama responded to questions about his nominees who failed to pay their taxes by saying they had made “honest mistakes.”
Obama then went on to say they did not want to give the impression that there were “‘two sets of rules’—one for his administration, and one for everyone else.” Brietbart
All but one of his challenged choices have withdrawn. Timothy Geithner was confirmed to run the Treasury even though he failed to pay tens of thousands of dollars in taxes. Sure he paid them but only after he was nominated. Yes, there are two standards. Geithner KNEW he had to pay the taxes because he signed a document stating he understood that when he received money to pay them. He deliberately did not pay his taxes and he was confirmed. Joe the Plumber was delinquent by a fraction of the amount of Geithner and he was attacked by the left and its media wing. Joe was held to a different standard than Geithner.
Obama’s claim to have the highest standards is a farce. This claim is made all the time after some official writes strong rules. The reality is, there are already standards that government employees are held to and they are pretty tough ones. The regular employees must follow them or they get fired. The elected people are held to that “other” standard.
Let me be clear, writing rules on a piece of paper only means that there are tough standards written down. Failure to follow them means that the administration does not adhere to the tough standards. Obama has already granted waivers for some of his appointees because they could not meet the written standards. Obama has broken his own rules on at least 14 occasions by letting lobbyists serve in his administration.
He can talk the talk but he cannot walk the walk.
Obama said that these were honest mistakes though Geithner’s was anything but and it is unlikely that Daschle’s was either. When Democrats are caught doing something wrong they made an honest mistake. If a Republican does something wrong then it was deliberate and part of a culture of corruption.
Case in point, the War on Terror in Iraq. Nearly every credible intelligence agency in the world agreed with the assessment about WMD in Iraq. Our intelligence agencies gave the same report. George Bush presented it and used it as part of the justification to invade Iraq (only 3 or 4 reasons dealt with WMD).
The left, to this day, says that George Bush lied about Iraq. Never once did any of them entertain the idea that maybe mistakes were made. No, Bush lied and people died. That was the mantra then and it is the mantra now. He is a Republican so he MUST have lied. He and all the intelligence agencies could not possibly have made a mistake so they must have been lying.
Geithner and Daschle, paragons of virtue, well they just made honest mistakes.
Funny thing is Obama remained loyal to Daschle even though he was aware of the tax problems a fortnight before it was made public. Obama was with Daschle up to the bitter end and still pledged support for him even after he withdrew.
When George Bush was loyal he was playing ole boy politics.
Good job Brownie.
Good job Daschie.
No difference at all.
Change indeed.

Obama Mistakes Window For Door
Jan 28, 2009 Political
Barack Obama had an embarrassing moment today when he tried to enter the White House through a window instead of the door that was next to it. He must not have been paying much attention when he got the grand tour from George Bush. I for one am not inclined to make a big deal out of it. Maybe he had his mind on something else like thinking about how loved he is or how he can appease our enemies or the left even more. But some are not so forgiving:
- …and who really is surprised by another stupid move by the dumbest man on the planet
- choking on a pretzel and passing out, falling off the bike numerous times, etc… the difference this time is that we have photographic evidence of his buffoonery. Yep, this one’s a keeper.
- I cackle every time I see that photo! And I’ve seen it about ten times already.
Every one of those statements is mean and uncalled for.
They are also from the Democratic Underground which were posted when George Bush tried to leave a room by way of a locked door. Interestingly, not only are there no similar comments at that site about Obama, they do not mention his mistake at all (as of the writing of this post).
But the comments about Bush beg the question; “Is Barack Obama a buffoon and the dumbest man on the planet?”
I mean he would have to be dumber than Bush because at least Bush knew the difference between a door and a window.
OK little Democrats. Let’s hear the reasons the two incidents are different. Let us all hear the excuses the liberals are using now that their sainted one has shown he is human like the rest of us.

Bush Grants Clemency To Border Agents
Jan 19, 2009 Political
From Ms. Underestimated (earlier today)
From Breitbart:
WASHINGTON (AP) – In his final acts of clemency, President George W. Bush on Monday commuted the prison sentences of two former U.S. Border Patrol agents whose convictions for shooting a Mexican drug dealer ignited fierce debate about illegal immigration.
Bush’s decision to commute the sentences of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, who tried to cover up the shooting, was welcomed by both Republican and Democratic members of Congress. They had long argued that the agents were merely doing their jobs, defending the American border against criminals. They also maintained that the more than 10-year prison sentences the pair was given were too harsh.
Rancor over their convictions, sentencing and firings has simmered ever since the shooting occurred in 2005.
Ramos and Compean became a rallying point among conservatives and on talk shows where their supporters called them heroes. Nearly the entire bipartisan congressional delegation from Texas and other lawmakers from both sides of the political aisle pleaded with Bush to grant them clemency.
Bush didn’t pardon the men for their crimes, but decided instead to commute their prison sentences because he believed they were excessive and that they had already suffered the loss of their jobs, freedom and reputations, a senior administration official said.
Some good news FINALLY!!! Thank you President Bush!
It should have been a pardon [Big Dog]

Mickey Rourke Does Not Blame Everything On Bush
Jan 14, 2009 Political
Actor Mickey Rourke has had a rocky career and he finally made it back after some difficult times. He received an award the other night for his part in a movie about a wrestler. Good for him.
Interestingly, this Hollywood type is not the typical deranged Bush basher. Most actors are so upset with President Bush they can’t see straight and their minds go numb and they act like bigger morons than they really are whenever his name is mentioned. They call it Bush Derangement Syndrome for a reason.
Rourke though, has a different take on it. Rourke said he does not blame everything on Bush and that given what has happened he did the best he could.
He tells the publication, “President Bush was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I don’t know how anyone could have handled this situation.
“I don’t give a f**k who’s in office, Bush or whoever, there is no simple solution to this problem… I’m not one of those who blames Bush for everything. This s**t between Christians and Muslims goes back to the Crusades, doesn’t it.
“It’s too easy to blame everything on one guy. These are unpredictable, dangerous times, and I don’t think that anyone really knows quite what to do.” Daily Express
It is kind of a shame that Rourke actually said this. His career might be on the rise again after a long dry spell and now he will probably never work again. Once the liberals in Hollywood find out he said something good about Bush he will be blackballed big time. Rourke will be lucky to get a job doing commercials for dog food.
At least he gets it. At least he understands that no one person is to blame for it all and that some things can’t actually be blamed on someone. He was right when he said that no matter who it was, it would have been tough to handle.
Only one week to go and the liberals will not have Bush to kick around and they won’t have Republicans to blame. They will have the whole shooting match and all the blame that goes around.
Who am I kidding? Unlike Mickey Rourke, the liberals will [continue to] blame Bush for everything.
