Clinton Campaign: Unthinking Iowans Picked Obama

This is the message out of the Clinton camp today as Hillary suffered a stinging defeat in Iowa. The caucuses were held yesterday and on the Democratic side it was Obama, Edwards and then Clinton. The Republicans selected Huckabee, Romney and Thompson as their win, place and show horses. Interestingly, Ron Paul garnered 10% of the vote, more than Giuliani (3%).

Today has to be a bad day for both Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney. Both spent a fortune in Iowa and did not do as well as they had hoped or expected. Clinton, who was supposed to be the shoe in for the Democrats was smacked hard by an upstart Senator named Obama who handed her a 9 point loss. Clinton’s people have a few problems. When this all started she was inevitable and then people actually got to see her and meet her and she lost. First she had experience and when that was not working it was decided that Hillary needed a make over. Her campaign needed to get her out and let America see who she really is. Evidently, at least in Iowa, they did not like what they saw. Her campaign blames this on unthinking voters:

“Everyone underestimated this conflagration,” said a former Clinton administration official.

“If people think he’s electable, they’ll vote with their hearts and not their minds.” The Politico

This statement just shows the arrogance of anything Clinton. Even this defeat was not her fault because people did not vote with their heads, they voted with their hearts. To me this says, if you had brains you would have voted for Hillary. Hillary has vowed to push on and she should. One state is not the end for her because she has a huge organization and lots of money. A one state loss means the end for candidates who have little money even if they are most experienced. Such was the case with Dodd and Biden who both threw in the towel last night.

The remarks of the Clinton campaign show how much disdain they have for the American people. They believe that only thinking people will select Clinton and any other pick is an event that did not involve a thought process. I would make the argument that voting for any Democrat involves no thought process but with regard to this situation, the Clinton campaign remark shows contempt for the American electorate.

People from every state should remember that if they vote for someone other than Hillary they are unthinking rubes who are getting in the way of Hillary’s birthright. You people, and you know who you are, are not worthy of the Queen…But please vote for her, K?

“We’re going to keep pushing as hard as we can,” she said, with former President Bill Clinton and their daughter Chelsea at her side. “I am so ready for the rest of this campaign and I am so ready to lead.” Breitbart

It is too bad that they could not be gracious losers and move on to the next contest. Instead they chose to take a swipe at the people who get to decide in this process. therein lies the problem. Clinton does not believe you should have a choice. Her platform involves a number of things that people or companies have no choice in. She will mandate any number of things involving our lives, if only she can win the big prize.

Remember America, she cannot mandate what you do and how you do it unless you give her a mandate by voting for her.

Think about it…

Obama’s Change Politics as Usual

The Iowa caucus process is archaic and cumbersome not to mention that it disenfranchises people who are unable to make it to the caucus sites. This might be an attempt to only have those who are serious be part of the process but it disenfranchises those who cannot leave their lives for a few hours to be part of the process. Since absentee ballots are not allowed members of the military, who protect the freedom to vote, are excluded from the process.

The caucus process involves a series of votes and candidates who do not carry at least 15% of the votes are knocked out of the process and their supporters may then go to another candidate. This process continues until the winner is selected. This process also involves some politicking as demonstrated this week when Dennis Kucinich told his supporters to support B. Hussein Obama if he [Kucinich] should fail to obtain the requisite 15%. This was an open request and does not appear to have been requested by Obama.

The other kind of politics are the back room deals that have candidates swapping votes in precincts where they lack support for votes in precincts where a person has overwhelming support. It is alleged that Senator Joe Biden has worked a deal with Obama to throw support his way in areas where Biden lacks the 15% and where it might be close for Obama in return for Obama sending votes Biden’s way in areas where Obama has a huge advantage. The same kind of deal is reported to have taken place between Governor Bill Richardson and Obama. I could have sworn Richardson was pandering to Clinton so he could be selected as her VP.

These kinds of back room deals serve many purposes. In this case it might mean that Hillary Clinton, the national front-runner, would get knocked down quite a few pegs and begin the rapid demise of her campaign. If Obama wins and Edwards and Hillary place much lower or with quite a few less votes then Obama might get a big surge in New Hampshire and nationally. This might also help the others who will most likely not be around by the time super Tuesday comes because a good showing will garner donations of cash to pay off campaign debt. These kind of deals also forge later alliances when a newly elected president, say Obama, needs to fill his cabinet.

This is politics as usual and it is not uncommon in a Iowa’s unusual caucus process. The problem is, it is politics as usual and Obama is involved in it. B. Hussein Obama has sold himself as the candidate of change. He claims that he is not a DC insider and has not lived Washington politics like his rivals, chiefly Hillary Clinton. He has told us that we cannot accomplish change by putting the same old people in the positions of leadership. It is his take on the definition of insanity; continually doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

For a man who claims to be a different kind of politician, one who is not there to play politics as usual, it seems he is doing just that. Obama is working the back room deals like a seasoned DC insider and he is playing politics as usual. This is contrary to everything he says he stands for and it shows him to be no different than the rest of the politicians in the field. I wonder what Obama would say if all the deals were going in favor of Clinton. Would he say that she is playing the same old politics?

B. Hussein Obama is a fresh face in the crowd of has beens and 60s retreads from the Democratic Party and he is a symbol of hope for a lot of members of that party but he is no champion of change from politics as usual.

In reality he is another politician who will say and do what it takes to get elected, principles be damned.

For clarity, I realize these are allegations but they are all denying it. A sure sign that a politician is doing something is when he denies it.

Clinton Duplicity

When the Clinton crime gang occupied the White House (and the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion prior to that) they worked hard to keep their daughter Chelsea out of the political spotlight. They wanted to ensure she was not part of the ugliness of politics and that is a good thing. The way the media and the left have attacked the Bush girls is a good reminder of how the ugliness knows no bounds. Unfortunately, while politicians might want their children to be off limits, they often have no problems using their children for political gain.

Chelsea Clinton has been brought in to campaign for her mother and she works the crowds after each of her mother’s speeches. She is a true Clinton moving through the crowd and asking people to caucus for her mother. But while the Clintons don’t mind using their 27 year old to pander for votes they have made it perfectly clear to the press that she is not to be interviewed. This mandate included a 9 year old kid reporter who asked Chelsea; “Do you think your dad would be a good ‘first man’ in the White House?”

Chelsea brushed off the little girl with this reply; “I’m sorry, I don’t talk to the press and that applies to you, unfortunately. Even though I think you’re cute.” Condescending and dismissive all at once. I don’t talk to the press, just like Hillary who limits which press has access to her and what they may ask. It seems to me that if one is to be the champion of the people then that person might actually be more open with the people.

However, this should come as no surprise to people who remember the first Clinton Administration. They were secretive, ignored the press and lied to cover up wrong doing. Now that the queen is locked in a tight battle they don’t mind parading their daughter around in order to pander for votes but at 27 she is still off limits to the press. It seems to me that if you put yourself out there (and at 27 Chelsea is old enough to take her own decisions) then you make yourself fair game for the press, even if the press is a 9 year old kid reporter.

It almost seems as if Chelsea, in addition to helping her mother’s floundering campaign, is getting her feet wet in the political world. How long, one wonders, before she is involved heavily in politics and running for office as a carpetbagger? She is old enough to run for the House and 3 years shy of being old enough for the Senate. Are the Clintons trying to build a political dynasty that rivals the Kennedy Crime family and all of its “public servants”? I also wonder where Chelsea works and how she got so much time off to campaign. Did her boss allow her to go do this? Is she being paid and, if so, does that constitute a campaign donation?

The Clintons are a crime family and they do not deserve another stint in the White House. I might also add, if these wonderful parents want to protect their daughter perhaps they should not parade her around on the campaign trail.

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell a New Clinton Policy

Bill Clinton gave us Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT) as a way to allow gays to serve in the military without completely honoring his pledge to allow them to serve openly. Now DADT has taken on a new meaning with a different Clinton. Hillary is using that tactic in the last few days leading up tot he Iowa Caucus. She will not allow questions and she will not tell anyone the answers to questions that happen to get slipped in.

Hillary has taken the approach that she should keep her mouth shut except for her prepared remarks so she will not stumble and blow her chance at winning the caucus. A verbal gaffe now probably leaves no time for repair so the Hildebeast has decided to just say what is prepared and nothing more. Prior to Christmas she allowed some time for a question and answer session but now, as soon as she is finished speaking, the speakers blare with her theme music and no one can ask any questions. She even ignored a reporter who asked if she was moved by the assassination of former PM Bhutto. Chelsea Clinton ignored reporters and their questions as well. It is either genetic or they have strict marching orders. Either way, the apple does not fall far from the tree.

What Hillary is saying is that what she has to say to us is important and we are expected to listen. She is also saying that what we have to say is of little importance to her and we should just be grateful she graced us with her presence. Her position appears to be that she is the liberal elitist who knows what is best for this country and that we should take what she says as gospel and not waste her time with silly questions. I guess she believes that if a person has a question after she speaks then that person must not have paid attention because she lays it all on the line. She is, after all, the most experienced candidate because she spent eight years as the First Lady. Just a note, if that is experience then vote for Laura Bush. She has the same experience and is a better person.

Hillary has also set aside two minutes the night before the Iowa Caucus to tell people, one more time, why they must vote for her. She has bought ad time during the evening news so that she can make sure people have the message. She needs to ensure that everyone got the memo that she is owed this position and that it is their duty to vote for her.

Interestingly, she will not take questions because one might trip her up and leave her no time to recover but she is going to spend two minutes telling lies about why to vote for her and leave Iowans with little time to refute what she says.

Let me put in my request to any Iowans who might be reading this. Please do not vote for Hillary. She is Satan and we need to get rid of her and her hubby once and for all by squashing them in this election. She won’t take time to answer your questions so why should you take time to vote for her?

Piling on Hillary, Now That is Fun

I have never been shy about my dislike for Hillary Clinton. She is a manipulative liar who has been planning to be president for decades after making a pact with her equally dishonest husband. He was to be first and then it was her turn, as if people get turns at leading this country. That idea in and of itself shows that she feels entitled to the job and that it is rightfully hers. She has been the front runner for a long time and was dubbed the inevitable winner of the nomination. Now it appears that her inevitable run is in jeopardy and people are piling on her after a bad month or so.

Hillary promised not to go negative and that she was focusing on the issues. In a debate, Bill Richardson (hoping to be selected as Hillary’s VP) came to her defense and said that they should stop picking on her. She indicated that if people were going to throw mud they should get their facts straight. She had been sliding in the polls and after the debate she slid even farther and all of the sudden she was going to get dirty, something she called “fun.”

Hillary went into open attack mode (she and surrogates had been attacking in secret all along) and she picked on what Obama wrote in kindergarten. This was not exactly a smart move. Remember Hillary wanted to be a number of things when she was a child and I don’t think those ideas should be used against her, unless of course, she lied about them so she would look more human. Then one of her staff sent out the Obama is a Muslim email and Hillary had to deny it. Polls dropping. Then one of her people questioned Obama’s admitted past drug use. I predicted that would haunt her especially given her husband’s lame lie about his own. Polls dropped further and Obama becomes tied or is slightly ahead. Campaign workers resign (or were fired) over the incidents.

Hillary started last January as the heir apparent and is now in position to be an also ran. She is in danger of losing the first four primaries which would likely be a death blow to her campaign. She went into this week’s debate in an unfamiliar position, as a person trying to catch up. For once, she was not the front runner. Her husband is in a tizzy and her campaign, despite what she says, is in a shambles. Bill is so worked up his ailing heart might explode before this thing is over and it appears as if the recent influx of campaign workers has some concerned that some caucus tampering might be forthcoming. I know the Clintons have denied this but they deny everything. Does anyone actually think they will ever admit to any wrong doing? They have been caught a number of times and yet they deny, deny, deny and then when there is evidence they blame someone or something else. The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy comes to mind.

Hillary continues to say she is the best to fend off the Republican “attack machine” (as if the Democrats do not have their own) because she has been under scrutiny for 16 years and has nothing to hide. This is only partly true. She has been under scrutiny but she has plenty to hide. The truth is still out there with regard to the many scandals they have both been involved in. Someone with hard evidence could show up and really blow her out of the water. I know a lot of the people with evidence are dead but that does not mean there are no others. One bimbo eruption with video or DNA evidence with respect to Bill during the general election and she is toast. She presses on but there are many sources now doubting if she can win the primary or, if she does, the general.

  • The notion that she has a post-Iowa “firewall” in New Hampshire is a fantasy, and she is in danger of losing all four early contests, including Nevada and South Carolina – probably to Sen. Barack Obama, who is now, in momentum terms, the Democratic front runner. [MSNBC]
  • Barack Obama has come from behind to turn the Democratic presidential race in New Hampshire into a toss-up, according to a new Monitor opinion poll. The results – which show Obama with a one-point edge over Hillary Clinton – mirror other polls released this week, indicating that Clinton’s once-imposing lead has evaporated in the run-up to New Hampshire’s Jan. 8 primary. • This thought occurs that Hillary Clinton’s entire campaign is, and always was, a Potemkin village, a giant head fake, a haughty facade hollow at the core. That she is disorganized on the ground in Iowa, taken aback by a challenge to her invincibility, that she doesn’t actually have an A team, that her advisers have always been chosen more for proven loyalty than talent, that her supporters don’t feel deep affection for her. [WSJ Opinion Journal]
  • “If I had listened to … the Washington chattering class, I would not be standing here would I?” Clinton told reporters, as controversy and reports of campaign turmoil swirled around her 2008 presidential bid.

“I believe in trusting my own instincts. I feel very, very good about the case that I am making.” [Breitbart]

The last quote is from Hillary and I expect that all candidates feel they are the best so this is no surprise. The problem is, she did listen to the DC chattering class. A lot of them told her to run and she has more endorsements from Democrats in Congress than any other candidate. She wanted to run and they knew it so they encouraged her to run though she would have done it anyway. She believes it is her destiny.

As far as trusting her instincts, how did that work out with her and Bill with regard to his rape and sexual assaults? Did she have any instincts telling her something was amiss? Did she ignore them in order to pursue her dream of being president? She did say there are worse things than the infidelity (and there are). Did she mean losing her chance at the White House.

Remember, without Bill she would be an unknown and she would never have been elected to office. She only has his last name as a plus to the electorate, otherwise no one would know her and they certainly would not vote for her.

It will be fun over the next few weeks. I predict that there will be more dirt despite Hillary’s claim that it will not happen again. She is desperate and she sees her destiny slipping away. The compact primary season makes recovery very difficult and she will be on the ropes if Obama can pull off wins in Iowa and New Hampshire.

I can’t wait for the fun if she loses. I think she might have a nervous breakdown and start accusing all kinds of people of incompetence.

One last thing. There are very important votes taking place in Congress this week. The federal government needs a budget and our troops need money. Why are all the people running for office not in Congress doing the work of the people?
