Where Is The Change In Clinton Part II?

Barack Obama ran a two year campaign for the presidency with a chant of hope and change and a claim that he is a Washington outsider and that he will change the way things are done. Change is on the way, he has chanted for the past two years. He lamented about the way business is done in DC and how he will change all that. No more business a usual. A lot of people bought this load of bunk but just as many voted for him to cleanse their souls of white guilt or because he is black. In any event, how much change is this so called “outsider” bringing?

During the primaries Obama said that Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton were part of the problem in DC. They were part of the business as usual network and electing them would bring more of the same. Then, after he won the primary, Obama picked Biden to be his Vice President. Biden has been in the Senate nearly as long as Obama has been alive and yet this is the best Obama could come up with for “change.”

Now that he has won the presidency, he is looking to make Hillary Clinton the Secretary of State. If the reason we needed to vote for him was because Biden and Clinton were part of the problem, how does putting them in these positions actually result in any “change?”

Obama’s cabinet will look like Clinton redux. He has selected Eric Holder to be the Attorney General. Holder is a “veteran” DC lawyer and served as Deputy AG in the Clinton administration. How exactly is it change to put a DC insider and past Clinton crony in this position?

As Obama gets deeper and deeper into the process of vetting people to serve in his administration a large number of seasoned political insiders and people who served under Clinton are being mentioned. It looks like Obama will have very few outsiders (if any) in his administration of change. Tell me again how change is on the way…

After selecting so many Clinton retreads for his administration the only thing Obama will have to do is bring Monica Lewinsky on as an intern.

Guess that can’t happen. She blew any chance she had at getting back in the White House. Too bad. He might have liked having her on his staff.

Sarah Palin Supports Gun Control

It is well known that nearly all major media outlets are in the tank for Barack Obama. They don’t even try to hide it any more. He comes out and breathes and they swoon and talk about their tingles. The nutroots deny the media is liberal and swear that it supports the Republicans and is unfair to the Democrats. But it is undeniable that the media is part of the Obama campaign and the campaign deploys them like all other surrogates:

His aides said they were looking to the news media to debunk the image of her as a blue-collar reformer, even as they argued that her power to help Mr. McCain was overstated.

How about a little fair time (fairness doctrine stuff) and we have the media debunk Obama’s image as an agent of change. It would be helpful if they spent the same amount of effort in scrutinizing him as they have her. And no, he has not been vetted over the last 19 months, he has been assisted. The media got him the nomination.

One other troubling thing from the piece is this:

In the midst of all this, Mr. Obama had a private lunch on Thursday with someone he battled with for much of the year but who knows how to put the Republicans on the defensive: former President Bill Clinton. Discussion topics, aides said, included how Mr. Obama might handle Ms. Palin in the days ahead.

The last thing Obama needs or should pay attention to is Bill Clinton telling him how to handle a woman. I already know what Bill Clinton thinks about Sarah Palin and how that rapist would like to handle her (“I did not have sex with that woman, but I’d like to.”).

Might not be a good idea for him to try though, she is a strong advocate of gun control. Gun control as in keeping your sights on the target and hitting that at which you aim…

They Attack Palin Out Of Fear

John McCain’s surprise pick of Sarah Palin to round out his ticket has sent shock waves throughout the land of politics. Republicans are energized and Democrats are suddenly fearful. They fear that they might just lose in a year that they should win and do so handily. They fear that Obama made a serious mistake by selecting Joe Biden over Hillary Clinton (a ticket I think would have won). You can tell the Democrats think Palin is the real deal and a threat because of the vicious way that they immediately attacked her and the way they continue to do so.

It started when the Obama campaign failed o acknowledge that she is a Governor and it was compounded by the assertion that she lacked any experience. Who could blame Obama for belittling the executive experience that Palin has as a Mayor and ignoring her executive experience as a Governor? For his campaign to suggest she lacks experience smacks of hypocrisy since she has more leadership experience than any of the Democrats in the race. John McCain has never held an executive position but he was in the military and certainly served as a leader there. However, Palin has more executive experience than he does.

The hits kept on coming when the Democratic Propaganda Outlet (Daily Kos) published an absolutely false story that Palin was actually the grandmother of her youngest child and faked the pregnancy to cover her daughter’s delivery. Some went so far as to suggest that Palin’s husband was the daddy of the daughter’s supposed child.

Now, a writer for a small and insignificant Baltimore paper has said that the selection of Palin is insulting on many levels. Susan Reimer of the Baltimore Sun indicates that it is nothing more than pandering for John McCain to select a woman who is inexperienced and expect people who would have voted for the experienced Hillary to vote for the GOP ticket. Though Hillary is far more experienced than Obama, I fail to see how she is more experienced than Palin. Hillary has about 8 years experience in the Senate. She has never held any other elected office and she has no executive experience. She only got the Senate seat in New York by riding the coattails of her husband. If Bill Clinton had never been president then Hillary would never have been a Senator.

Palin did not ride to office on the coattails of her husband. She is self made and earned her elected positions on her own merit. So the question is, Susan, why would you feminist women support a woman who needed a man to get ahead rather than one who made it on her own? Reimer takes issue with the fact that Palin is pro life, a member of the NRA and thinks creationism should be taught next to evolution. I find no reason to be against someone who believes in the sanctity of life and who supports the Second Amendment. I also find it refreshing that someone would offer differing opinions on how we got here. Palin wants children to be given differing points of view whereas Reimer only wants them indoctrinated with an unproven, flawed theory.

People like Reimer will come out in full force to attack Palin because she is strong and she is a real threat to their victory. Adding her to the ticket reinvigorated Republicans and will likely sway some of the Independents and women who feel that Hillary was mistreated by the chauvinistic Obama campaign. She is a real threat and the Democrats do not like it. They were outflanked by John McCain who demonstrated that a little tactical training comes in handy.

These people will make the mistake of underestimating Sarah Barracuda and will regret it. She is bright and fierce and will take them apart. Don’t let her good looks fool you, this woman is the real deal and will fight a tough fight.

The Democrats are in turmoil. Obama got a 6 point bounce from his convention and McCain stole his thunder by announcing the selection of Palin. He and his supporters know they should be way up but they seem unable to close the deal. This is troubling to them and they have a real fear that they could lose this November. Therefore, they are doing the only thing they know how to do and that is to attack with lies. They will continue to do this until the general election because they are afraid. Seriously, if she were a lightweight or someone with whom they need not concern themselves, why are they attacking her so ferociously? The Democrats have even stooped so low as to release Palin’s Social Security number. Seems Chuckie Schumer did this to Michael Steel. Not only illegal, but unethical as well.

Palin gives her convention speech tonight. I expect she will deliver an outstanding speech that will further energize the base and grab the attention of Independents and those who have yet to decide.

After Palin speaks there will be plenty of Democrats losing sleep.

And there will be more unfounded attacks.

Democrat Women Send Mixed Message

Nancy Pelosi, a practicing Catholic who does not know the Catholic Church’s position on abortion, has been telling people how she broke a marble ceiling in Congress by becoming the Speaker and how Hillary Clinton inspired a ton of young women. The message is that young ladies (and evidently a couple of old ones) can do whatever they want because they are independent and strong.

But they must not be so strong in Florida where a Democratic Congresswoman, Corrine Brown of Jacksonville, was unable to sandbag her own house during Tropical Storm Fay. She called the mayor who dispatched a crew of inmates on a work crew to sandbag her house. Her neighbor asked for some help from the crew but they laughed at him. Evidently, women are not able to do as much as Hillary and Nancy think.

Come now, you skeptics don’t actually think that the mayor would waste taxpayer money doing a favor for a member of Congress, you know, one of the critters who works for you? As a matter of fact the mayor, John Peyton, said that he did not give her special treatment. She called and since she is a woman, a single mother, and sounded scared, he sent her help. I am willing to bet that this mayor would do that for any single mother who is scared. So let’s put this to a test.

Another storm is brewing off the coast of Florida. All you folks who have Payton as your mayor need to keep a close watch on the weather. If it gets rough where you are, call the mayor and tell him you are a single mother and you are scared. He will send you help in a jiffy. What’s that? You don’t have his number. You have the office number but not his private ones (any of them). Well this just won’t do. If Peyton only helped because she was a regular citizen in a bad way then he needs to give his numbers out to everyone so that all the other regular folks will have a way of calling him direct when they need help.

If everyone else does not have his number maybe, just maybe, he dispatched that crew to help because she was a member of Congress. If that is the case he gave her better treatment than the people who they both happen to work for. I mean since Nancy and Hillary told us women can do it all and there are no obstacles that cannot be overcome (except one well spoken half black guy from Chicago) then maybe she got special treatment after all.

It is time to throw them both out of office because they seem to have forgotten who they work for and that is unacceptable.

This is misuse of government funds, it is abuse of power and it is wrong. Every resident who lives in that area was entitled to the service before any elected official because they work for the people, not the other way around. That is not to say that it should be done, rather it is an idea of a conceptual pecking order. In reality, the people should not have government swooping in to take care of their property. This is a homeowner responsibility.

It is Democratic attitudes like this that gave us the attitudes that caused melt down in New Orleans. Then again, maybe most of those folks in NO were single mothers who were scared.

Hillary Whitewashes Her Web Site

Hillary Clinton has taken down all the negative campaign ads and memos that have anything to do with criticizing Barack Obama. The two supposedly unified the party in Unity New Hampshire and have buried the hatchet (though Clinton would probably like to bury it in Obama’s back).

This is probably nothing new but it is hard to tell because the web has not played as great role in presidential campaigns as it has this year. Past candidates toyed with it but this campaign season marked a new high in web site use by candidates. In the past Democratic candidates relied on the MSM to stop showing items from contenders so that there would be no opposition from within the party.

Obama and the DNC worried all along that Clinton’s words would be used against Obama in the general election and, of course, they still will. Her site was not the only one that contained the memos and video ads and they will certainly surface again during the Summer.

I am sure Hillary had to do this in order to secure money from Obama to settle her campaign debts. While I don’t think this is surprising or even out of the ordinary it makes one wonder how Clinton could have viewed Obama so negatively back then but so favorably now.

Maybe it is because it is all about politics and the Democrats will lie, cheat and steal in order to win.
