Clinton: Support Health Care For The Party

Bill Clinton and Al Gore are out on the campaign trail (Obama is still campaigning) in order to drum up support for the health care plan that will completely overhaul the health care system in this country in order to provide health care to the very small percentage of the population that does not have and truly cannot afford such care.

The Democrats have taken a beating over this issue because they are being irresponsible with our system of health care. They are ramming legislation through without even reading it. They are doing a disservice to their constituents while working to give government further control over our lives. And make no mistake about it, this is all about control. If this was all about fixing the system then it would actually address the problems with the system and would not consist of a complete overhaul. It would not be a Trojan Horse bill designed to slip single payer health care in in the middle of the night. A Single payer system is the goal as expressed by Obama and many other Democrats who have stated that this is the way to eventually get single payer.

[note]If this health care plan is so good then why are members of Congress exempted and why have they refused to vote for amendments requiring them to take it?[/note]

If this was all about health care and not about control then Obama would have voted for the health care reforms that were proposed when he was a Senator. His fellow Democrats would have voted for them as well. Instead they voted against reform that would not overhaul the entire system and would have made a difference.

The problem is, they never wanted the system to be fixed. If it were fixed then the Democrats would not have anything to run for office on and they would not have the chance to take control of people’s lives. The Democrats conveniently forget this part of history and they continually present only two options in this debate as if nothing else exists. It is either their plan or do nothing. They present it as if the only option is to do nothing and then they attack that position. It is a straw man argument and it is designed to make people think that if this does not pass we will do nothing.

As I wrote, we had the chance to do something when Obama was a Senator and he VOTED AGAINST the bills.

Still think this debate is about health care? Bill Clinton said that the health care bill needed to be passed for the sake of the party.

“We need to pass a bill this year. Doing nothing is not only the worst thing we can do for the economy, it’s the worst thing we can do for the country. It’s also the worst thing we can do for the Democrats,” Clinton said, because Americans expect Democrats to deliver when they elect them. Commercial Appeal

Clinton said that not passing this bill is the worst thing we can do for the Democrats. This is the entire issue. It is bad for Democrats if they get defeated on Obama’s signature legislation and right now they are getting beaten. Not long ago Clinton said they needed to pass something. I think his words were that they could get half a loaf instead of the whole thing and then work on adding to it later. They need to pass something to make Obama look good.

They need to pass something for the good of the Democrat Party, Clinton himself said so. Never mind if it will be good for us as individuals, they need it for the party. Though Clinton said it would be good for the economy there is no way that can be the case. It will cost too much and will cause an increase in taxes for nearly all taxpayers. The way this bunch has handled the economy there is no way they should be making predictions about how health care will impact it. Additionally, Medicare is broke and spends more than it takes in. That is a government run program. Our government does not have a good track record when it comes to running programs at a low cost and this is particularly true for the health care ventures it runs.

It is all about party and control. The Democrats are selling us a bill of goods and they are working hard to screw us over so they can have more control over our lives. They need to pass something so that Obama does not look bad and so they can get their feet in the door.

From there we will be on the fast track to socialized medicine in a single payer system.

No matter what you hear from now on always remember that it is about helping the party. Bill Clinton made that clear. It is also about control which certainly helps Democrats because controlling people is what keeps them in power.

Obama has made that clear in the way he is taking more and more control of the private sector in this country.

Bill Clinton says to support health care for the good of the party.

Big Dog says defeat this legislation for the good of the country.

Barack OBUMa Does The Booty Call

Barack Obama was photographed checking out the tush of a young lady walking by him. It is obvious that he is looking at the girl’s butt and French President Sarkozy is also seen taking a peek but as an experienced Frenchman, he is not quite as obvious as the gawking Obama.

Turns out the young lady in question is 16 years old.

The MSM is trying desperately to make this all seem innocent. ABC said that Obama was looking down to make sure he did not loose his footing on the steps. This is a blatant lie. His feet are on the step. If he was worried about his balance he would look straight ahead to ensure he did not lose his footing. His neck is turned to the right and he is eyeing the buttocks of the 16 year old girl. He is channeling his inner Bill Clinton.

I know guys look at nice looking girls (except in San Francisco) but this man is the leader of the most powerful country in the world. He can’t pass gas without the media knowing. He is constantly photographed so is it too much to ask that he act like a professional?

Ace has his own take on it including a link to another photograph of Obama eyeing the butt of a grown woman. Here is a clue, he is not walking down steps and he is not trying to ensure he does not lose his footing. He is looking at her tush just like he was looking at the tush of a 16 year old.

I guess you can take the G out of the hood but you can’t take the hood out of the G.

Malaise & Praise

I confess, I was a child of the sixties, and I grew up during the Viet Nam war. As the war was winding down, I turned eighteen- a seminal age, for that was when my government determined that I was man enough to join the army, whether I wanted to or not.

There were protests in the streets, as the Mainstream Media, which was all there was, got their soundbites and film for the evening news. I was faced with a dilemma- I could be “drafted”- in effect forced into the army to fight the war in southeast Asia, provided my “lottery number” came up. Every year, the government would hold a lottery with the 365 days in the barrel, and the government would draw a certain number out- in my case it was 98 days, and my birthday was designated as #99. I had escaped the draft of that year, 1970. I admit I was relieved- I was not then political, or paying attention to political things. That would come later. For the present moment, I was content to go with the flow, calling Nixon and Kissinger war criminals, and wishing the war would end.

I took my contemporaries opinions to heart, never questioning their logic, and when Nixon resigned, felt some vindication of my positions, even though the positions weren’t really mine, and I hadn’t thought them through. Then came Gerald Ford, and because he was a Republican, he got ridiculed also, for being clumsy, and for being mentally slow, which was far from true, but since the media and Saturday Night Live decided to portray him as inept, he got that reputation.

Oh but wait- there’s LESS- Jiminy Carter was voted into office, and within a year, I had become a political person, because he began to drive this country straight into the ground just as fast as he could.

Have you ever been on a Carny ride gone wrong? I have, and watching that retaining bolt slowly slide out of its position while screaming to the operator , who thought it was hilarious, until the bolt actually fell out next to him. He was lucky it didn’t brain him, and I was lucky my seat didn’t fall off. Jiminy Carter’s one term was like that carny ride- scared me to death, and I couldn’t get off. I’m getting that feeling again.

Then the Iranians took the embassy hostage and kept them for 444 days. 444 days where Carter’s impotence was out in the open for everyone to see. Hell, Kleenex had more backbone.

Twenty minutes after Reagan was sworn in, the Iranians released the hostages- they didn’t want to be a target, and they had a good idea that Reagan would give the order to get our people home. That was, for me, the beginning of national pride to me. No more did we have to be ashamed of ourselves. We could look each other, and more importantly the rest of the world straight in the eyes. No matter what else Ronald Reagan would do, that one thing, the psychological lifting of a weight from our collective shoulders, would do more in the next eight years than anything else.

The difference between the Republicans, as embodied by Reagan, and the Democrats, was stark- Reagan was hopeful, and emphasized our positives, while the Democrats were constantly telling the nation what we were doing wrong. No upbeat message here- we were soap scum, tile grout, the lowest of the low, according to the Democrats. We were sucking the life out of the rest of the world, like global vampires, and the rest of the world believed it, even though we had helped, indeed poked and prodded the USSR, until it folded like a cheap suit, and the threat of a cold war was over, Germany could re- unite, and the beginning of the prosperity of Europe could begin.

Reagan’s terms ended, and George H. W. Bush’s term began, but people had grown weary of Republicans, or perhaps they just didn’t like Bush as much as Reagan, but Bush 41 lasted only one term before Slick Willy slid into office like a slug, leaving a trail.

People like Clinton always make me uneasy, like a used car salesman, or some of these pitchmen you see on TV- you walk past these people holding onto your money tightly, and never taking your eyes off of them. After all, someone who has never worked for a living will never be able to ” feel my pain”. What a crock. And then there was Vince Foster, Whitewater, and let’s not forget Monica- who was truly a sideshow. I didn’t have a problem with Clinton cheating on his wife- heck, his character is so shallow that I EXPECTED that from him- what I resented were his blatant lies to the American people, like a child caught with chocolate on his face, who still denies that he ate the candy.

Well, we all know who was elected next, and thank God he was, because I would have hated to even think how badly Gore would have handled 9/11- he would have “put them in a lockbox” or fined the terrorists carbon credits for flying those planes into the towers. Instead, George W. Bush was elected, and the one thing he had to do and do right, he did. He kept us safe from another attack.

Every President has flaws- I have, as I’ve become more political, read up on many of the presidents we have had, and by and large, they are nothing to write home about- oh, you get glimpses of some exceptional behavior, a la Lincoln, but by and large, the presidents seem to reflect the times they are a part of.

Still, somehow, we seem to get presidents that often can take the reins of the difficulties of the age, and do the one thing that makes sense in those difficult times. We also get the clowns- the presidents that can do nothing right, and rightly should have been run out of town on a rail. Which one is Skinny B?

I’ll let you make up your own mind on that one. I know where I stand. After reading this, you might have solidified your thinking, or not.

Sometimes the circumstances make the man- sometimes they break him.

On our knees, or on our feet- Choose one

Well, it’s been over a hundred days since Barama was crowned, and in this time the administration has surely apologized a lot, and to virtually everybody in the world, as if we did something wrong.

Let me think- after we were attacked on 9/11, we went into Afghanistan to topple the Taliban and deny safe havens to Bin Laden. Any thing to apologize for here? No way.

Knowing that Saddam had ignored more than 17 resolutions from the gutless UN, and upon hearing from the French intelligence service, and the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad), and the British and Russian intelligence services, and from SADDAM HUSSEIN himself that he indeed had WMDs, President Bush decided that the risk was too great to allow WMDs in any terrorist groups hands. This was prudence on the President’s part, considering the information given. No apologies here.

When it comes to America’s security, a leader cannot take anything lightly. Not in this environment, considering the past actions, and future plots. There is still too much to be done, and it is looking like much of the work will be left unfinished due to a change in leadership, and a vast gulf in Global Understanding on the part of Barama, who thinks that just because some people cheer him, they wish him well. Caesar could say a few things about friendship and its transient quality.

But more important than being liked is being respected, and any hint of weakness is not a building block for respect, but a chink in our armor that someone will seek to exploit. Apologizing for something that has happened, before all the facts are known, as happened with Secretary Clinton, apologizing to Hamid Karsai, the head of Afghanistan, regarding an alleged American air strike that reportedly killed civilians, was premature.

Before any facts were known, Secretary Clinton had apologized for what was, in fact, a Taliban setup intended to embarrass the United States, something they have grown fairly adept at, with the complicit media, who take these killers at their word.

Wouldn’t you think that if it came to America, or the Taliban, that veracity might play into who to believe. Character counts, and America has always been in the forefront of aid to starving countries, and the first to aid devastated places. America gives more than anyone else to anyone else. We give more to Palestinian aid than many Arab countries. Ouch- that’s gotta hurt Muslim pride, huh? What has the Taliban ever done for its people? How has Al-Qaida made the world a better place for the people of this world? What fakers, what poseurs these apostate dogs are.

I understand jealousy, and that is what motivates most countries in their hate for the U.S.- they have most, if not all the same advantages that we have, but they cannot seem to make their government work right. In some cases, countries cannot seem to understand the concept of democracy, in others, they understand, but they hate the very idea, because empowering the people means no more power for the dictators.

I said all that to say this- there is a core of people in this country that will never feel the need to apologize, people that know deep in their DNA that there is no greater country, or form of government in the world today. We know that what we do for other countries, we do not out of any guilty conscience, but because it is the right thing to do, and doing the right thing comes natural to us. We know that there is an innate greatness and hope within all people, and we hope that our example does not create jealousy, but instead creates the environment where democracy and peace can sprout.

But mark my words well- we will be respected, and we will be sovereign in our undertakings. We will welcome partners in our endeavors, but understand one thing, and understand it clearly-

We will live on our feet, not on our knees, and nothing shall change that fact.

Obama The Watchdog

If there is one thing we can be thankful for, it is that Barack Obama is a watchdog. He is on duty like a faithful sentry ensuring that we, the little people, are guarded. Obama is such a watchdog that he walks in several circles before he lies down.

There’s no need to fear, Obama the watchdog is here and he will find the lying, stinking, tax cheats who are defrauding the government out of its money. Today the watchdog announced that he would be going after the tax cheats:

President Barack Obama vowed to “detect and pursue” American tax evaders Monday as he announced a plan to close tax loopholes and clamp down on overseas shelters. Breitbart

I will have to give him a passing grade on this so far. Since he has been in office he has pursued a number of Democrats to serve in his administration and he has detected that many of them failed to pay their income taxes. These unpatriotic ingrates failed to pay their taxes and the watchdog Obama discovered them and ensured they paid up.

OK, many did not pay interest and penalties and none of them were frog marched to jail for deliberately avoiding taxes but at least they were detected by watchdog. The problem seems to be that after watchdog Obama finds them and forces them to pay their taxes he then rewards them with high paying jobs. In fact, the Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is a major tax cheat who defrauded the government until watchdog found him.

Watchdog needs to head on over to Congress and sniff around to find out what is happening with the tax cheats there. Charlie Rangel, the pimp from New York, is responsible for writing tax laws and he must have thought he was exempt because he did not pay his taxes either. So far he has been able to escape sanctions.

Does anyone want to bet that watchdog will not be so easy on the regular folks who failed to pay taxes?

Then again, maybe this is how Obama plans on creating jobs. He is hiring 800 IRS Gestapo to go after tax cheats. Once he finds them he can force them to pay their taxes and then give them a job.

What a guy this watchdog is.

Watchdog will also go after companies that supposedly benefit from moving their businesses overseas. They already pay taxes to the US on their US profits and taxes to the foreign country on their foreign profits and then they pay taxes on the foreign profits when they move the money to the US so I don’t really know how watchdog is going to get any more out of them, but he says he will.

I predict that more companies will move their businesses out of the US.

I also predict Joe Six Pack will get hammered with interest and penalties for not paying his taxes.

Watchdog is spending like a drunken sailor and he needs all the money he can get and he will screw people to get it (unless they are Democrats and he wants them to work in his administration).

Fortunately, the Klingon ensures he gets walked or he would not be house broken.

We don’t need any more stains in the White House. Clinton left enough for the both of them.
