Starbucks to Raise Prices
Jul 24, 2007 Uncategorized
Life will be a little tougher for the preppies who saunter into local Starbucks stores every day and spend much more for a cup of coffee than it is worth. Starbucks, a company that wants to expand, has been experiencing a bit of a financial hard time so they have decided to raise the price of coffee by 9 cents a cup. That might not sound like a lot but when one considers that a second mortgage is required to buy coffee at their shops, it is adding insult to injury.
I am an avid coffee drinker. I drink quite a bit of coffee each day and I am perfectly happy drinking plain black coffee. I have never liked Starbucks coffee, regardless of the price. It does not have a good taste and smells to me as if the beans were burned rather than roasted. I can’t imagine why people drink it every day except for some sort of twisted status symbol.
I guess the preppies will have to suck up that 9 cents if they want to keep their parking spot at the firm.
Here is the link to a funny parody about coffee that seems to fit the Starbuck’s price increase (click the link in the middle).

Daily Kos; Federal Election Violations??
Jul 23, 2007 Uncategorized
John Bambenek has written a great article over at Blog Critics indicating that he has filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission against Kos Media LLC (the Daily Kos folks). Bambenek was compelled to do so after Kos admitted a number of times that his blog exists to get Democrats elected.
Since Kos generates quite a bit of money from his blog and likely donated more than the limit (the cost of the web service that exists to get Democrats elected) it is quite possible that he could be in trouble. It would be kind of nice to see all these bed-wetting thumb-suckers get all uptight about this complaint. Maybe, it will hit Kos hard in his pocketbook just before his convention, where incidentally, the Democratic Presidential candidates will be. I recall the words Kos used to describe the contractors who were burned to death and hung from a bridge in Iraq and it seems to sum up how I feel about what might happen with the FEC complaint:
Screw them.
Others:
Wild Bill at Passionate America (he has a great picture of Kos who could be another Breck girl)
Just for a disclosure, this blog generates very little income and no income from this blog goes to political candidates. As a private citizen I have refused to donate due to my party’s departure from Conservative values.

UK Floods, Is George Bush to Blame?
Jul 23, 2007 Uncategorized
Looks like Mother Nature unleashed her wrath on the UK this past week opening the flood gates and leaving a lot of people in a bad way. I certainly pray that they are well and able to get things fixed up. I wonder how long it will be before Global Warming is tagged as the culprit.
Oh, I am being silly. Everyone knows that floods are George Bush’s fault, just like Katrina and the response…
Lets see, Katrina, people rescued by helicopter:
In the UK
Katrina, People trapped with no food or water:
In the UK
and
Here
In Katrina, humanitarian crisis:
In the UK
In Katrina, looting:
In the UK
Geez, even the best prepared nations (unlike our governed by President Bush) seem to have trouble with natural events of this magnitude. Of course, the poor response and aftermath must be Bush’s fault.
Or could it be that people act a certain way when there is a disaster and that any response will be inadequate given the nature of the devastation?
No, Bush has to be the blame, just ask any lefty with little emergency response experience and he will tell you how everything works, and blame Bush.
The prayers of the Big Dog family go out to those in need in the UK. We pray they are able to survive and rebuild.

Immigrant Murders 12 Year Old Girl
Jul 14, 2007 Uncategorized
An immigrant from Thailand who was convicted of child molestation in the past will be charged with the murder of a 12 year old girl who he abducted on July 4th as she watched the fireworks. Terapon Adhahn is accused of abducting Zina Linnik whose body was found by police after the suspect gave them information leading them to where he left her.
Adhahn should have been deported after his conviction for incest but, once again, Immigration was behind the eight ball and because they failed to do their job the Fourth of July will always be a tragic day for Zina’s family.
When are we as a society going to get our acts together and realize that these freaks can not be part of society and should not be allowed to live? When are we going to demand that our government do its duty and ensure that these kinds of people are not running our streets? They need to find this guy guilty and execute him and any judge or civil liberties lawyer who stops the execution for some BS “cruel and inhumane punishment” reason should be taken out and shot.
We need to make child molestation a death penalty offense with one appeal. After that appeal the child molester should be killed in the most horrific fashion possible. I prefer they be drawn, hanged, and quartered and then their body parts be incinerated. If we can not get this done then any judge who allows a convicted child molester to walk the streets should be executed if the pervert harms another child. It is time to hold the perverts and the judges as well as the rest of the government 100% accountable for their acts.
We can start by getting tough on child molesters and their enablers in government.
God bless this child’s soul and may He comfort her family.

How to Handle Terror Threat Against US
Jul 14, 2007 Uncategorized
The US State Department has issued a warning that American buildings in Israel are being targeted by suicide bombers. The warning indicates that US citizens should leave and to exercise caution.
The American State Department has issued a warning Saturday to citizens and residents of the US living in Israel.
The warning was released after information was received that suicide bombings were planned against American institutes, restaurants and businesses in Israel that are connected to the US, especially in Jerusalem. Ynet
The US must have an idea of who is planning the attacks and what country they come from. Our government should warn that country that if any of our assets are bombed we will retaliate against that country with round the clock carpet bombing until nothing is left standing and then, if it is an oil producing country, we will enter and take the oil for our own use.
This will only be effective if we, as a country, have the stomach for such action. It is evident that the Democrats do not have the security of our nation at heart and that they lack the strength to be tough on sponsors of terror. Regardless, we should be willing to make the country that houses these terrorists pay and pay dearly for any terrorist act against us. These countries and the terrorists from them only understand force and by bombing them back to the stone age we will signal that we are done tippy toeing around and that we will use overwhelming power to obliterate these people.
It will only take one such response to get people’s attention and make them understand that we mean business. No other country will want to suffer that fate. As for the N and any idea of disproportional use of force, screw them.
Enough is enough. We need to show these terrorists and their sponsors what military might actually means.
