Who Are You Going To Believe?

Barack Obama has a problem with the truth as does his running mate Joe Biden. This is not to say that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have not had their issues with the truth because they are politicians and often the facts depend what reference is used. There is a distinct difference between using resources that support your position and telling outright lies.
After the last debate we were bombarded by the Obama regime all telling us that Mitt Romney lied. Why, Obama was so stunned that Romney has changed his position (though there is no evidence that he has done so) and just flat out lied that he could not effectively respond.
Changed positions? Is it a changed position for Obama to tell us that if he did not fix things in four years he would be one term? Is it changed for Obama to say racking up debt on the credit card of China was unpatriotic when Bush did it but OK when he does it? Is it a changed position for Obama to say he does not support gay marriage then say that he does (when he needs support from the gay community)? Why are all these items ignored?
Politicians change positions but unfortunately, most of the time they change for political expedience rather than an evolved and well thought progression (or regression as the case might be).
When it comes to lies though it is often difficult to say the politician was lying at the time. A politician probably really believes he will change things or accomplish what he says when he arrives in office only to find it difficult. When a politician says something he absolutely knows he cannot do then he is lying.
Barack Obama said he would cut the deficit in half in his first term. He has not and has in fact doubled it. This was a lie because he knew he could not do this. He had to know that his big time spending plans would not allow him to cut the deficit in half.
Obama just told a whopper of a lie when he said that the we (the American taxpayer) got back every dime of the bailout. Last week Obama claimed that we got back every dime used to bailout the financial system.
The problem is the CBO says that we will lose about $24 BILLION dollars and about $65 BILLION remains outstanding.
So we not only did not get it all back but a lot remains at large and we are expected NOT to get it all back. This is just in the financial part of the bailout. Let us not forget that GM got BILLIONS and we will not get that back.

If that is not bad enough it looks like Joe Biden, fresh off his demented old man performance at the debate, has been caught in a lie. We already know that he lied about the Embassy security in Libya. Even though Hillary Clinton fell on her sword for a lying president (not the first time she has ever done that) the reality is the regime lied about what happened and the security issues. Perhaps if Obama attended his daily security briefs he would be better aware of what is going on. Unfortunately it appears as if the only way he would get those briefs is if they were written on a golf scorecard.
Anyway, Biden lied about the issue regarding religious institutions (among many other things) being forced to provide contraception to their employees. Paul Ryan asked a great question about this. If what Biden said was true then why is the Catholic Church suing the regime over the issue? Biden claimed that he was telling the truth (he hardly ever tells the truth) but the Catholic Bishops have weighed in and said Biden is lying.
The duo of Obama and Biden is dangerous for this nation. A second term where Obama is unbridled would result in damage that would be difficult to recover from and would take years, if we were able to recover at all.
It is time to end the Obamanation.

Church Tries To Exorcise Obamacare Demon

The Catholic Church is up in arms about a rule from the HHS requiring those who provide health care benefits to provide birth control, including the morning after pill (and at no cost at that). The Catholic Church is not the only religious institution upset about this but it has been the most vocal. The ruling does not apply to the houses of worship themselves but to organizations run by the Church such as Catholic hospitals and charities.
As far as I am concerned the federal government has no right to do this. The First Amendment does not allow any government action to establish a religion or prohibit the free exercise thereof. The Church is exercising its beliefs with regard to birth control and has every right to do so.
However, I have no sympathy for the Church because it supported Obamacare. The Church was perfectly happy when it was supporting something that required the rest of us to do things we did not want but now it is having a cow over it being forced to do something it does not want (The two have something in common; they are both likely unconstitutional).
The Church received assurances that it would not be forced to do things that ran counter to its beliefs but it looks like those assurances were designed to get support. Like many liberal constituencies the Church was used when needed and is now discarded. The Church should remember that when it lies with dogs it will get fleas.
There is uproar and the Church is indicating it will not comply with the law and says it will drop all insurance if the law is not changed. This plays right into the liberal’s hands because they want everyone to be forced into government run care. That was the goal from the beginning and it has not changed.
The people who will be affected by this should remember who did it to them and make things right in November.
But I think that will not happen. The Obama regime is catching hell over this issue and it might respond by dropping the requirement. Obama needs to get reelected and he can’t afford to have millions of Catholics turning against him.
Catholics though, should not fall for this. If, and it is a big if right now, Obama changes course it will be solely for political purposes and it will be temporary. If he gets reelected and no longer has to worry about reelection he will do as he wishes and impose his will on everyone. He will reinstate the requirement and thumb his nose at the Church.
Beware Catholics. He screwed you once and he will do it again.
But, you got what you asked for and though I disagree with the rules I think you got what you deserved.
This is what happens when you have to pass bills before you know what is in them. She lost her job and now regrets her vote.
So far the White House is standing firm.

On Tap: Free Birth Control; Misguided Catholics

A little discussion is going on with regard to the health care bill known as Obamacare. Seems that birth control will be available to women at no cost to them. The article claims that the birth control will be free but it is not free because someone (taxpayers) must pay for it.
I do not have a problem with contraception and if people want to use it that is their choice but I have a problem with them not having to pay for it. I do not want to pay for their birth control. It is not my responsibility to pay for their birth control, it is theirs.
Senator Barbara Mikulski, the troglodyte from Maryland, says that it is clear that family planning was meant to be included as preventive medicine. She wrote that amendment so she should know what she meant but the larger question is, why didn’t she just write it in plain language so there would be no confusion? She wrote it so she could have clearly spelled it out. Instead, she failed to mention it because she knew it might have led to opposition that would have derailed Obamacare.
Here is an idea. If you want birth control just keep a picture of Mikulski in your bedroom or carry it with you and look at it when you feel like having sex. That will be enough to remove any desire to have sex.
The Catholic Bishops oppose the “free” birth control because they consider birth control to be a life choice and not preventive medicine since pregnancy is a healthy condition.
The Catholics have no say in the matter. That religion’s leaders take positions based on how they feel at any one time. They continue to support politicians who support abortions including partial birth abortion, the brutal murder that occurs seconds before a child is born. The doctor stops the kid in the birth canal, cuts a hole in his head and sucks his brains out. A dead, brainless child is delivered.
The Catholics continue to support people who are in favor of these things. The Catholics supported Obama and he believes in allowing children who are born alive after an unsuccessful abortion to be left alone to die.
Where were the Catholic leaders on that one? Supporting Obama.
The Catholic leaders have no say in any of this. They continually do things contrary to their teachings for political gain. I guess they, like Saul Alinksy, believe the ends justify the means.
No matter what, the leaders of the Catholic church are one of the last groups of people I would turn to for guidance on moral issues.
“Free” contraception is not free. We taxpayers have to pay for it.
