Corzine Did Not Pay The Piper
Dec 16, 2011 Political
Goodfellow Jon Corzine has stolen and wasted the money of a lot of people. Then, after he was no longer Governor of New Jersey, he lost the money of a lot of other people. Corzine’s MF Global went belly up and there is a lot of money that can’t be accounted for. Billions of dollars in people’s money vanished in thin air faster than an Obama grant to a green energy company.
Corzine was grilled on Capitol Hill and some of that grilling came from fellow Democrats. Since it is not unusual for large sums of money to disappear when a Democrat is involved one must assume that the grilling was because it is an election year and Democrats need to play their election year game of pretending to look out for people.
However, it appears as if one Democrat, Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, was relentless for another reason. Corzine did not donate money to her reelection campaign even though she called several times a week asking for donations.
The Democratic senator who savaged Jon Corzine at a high-profile Capitol Hill hearing this week had another reason to go hard on her former colleague — she recently pressed him for campaign contributions but didn’t get any.
“She would literally call once every two or three weeks,” one Corzine intimate said of Sen. Debbie Stabenow (DMich.). New York Post
Now we know why she was so relentless. She did not get her money. The Wiseguy Corzine did not pay tribute to his former colleague so she took him to task.
There is no doubt that Corzine should be in jail with others who have bilked people out of money.
And when he goes there are 535 members of the US Congress who should join him. That number would go way up if we could get those who no longer serve in Congress but are just as guilty of bilking us out of our money.
Perhaps we should set the people in Gitmo free in some country in the Middle East and send all the Congress critters, past and present, there so taxpayers could have a respite from the daily crimes perpetrated on them.
Yeah, that’s the ticket.
And then Stabenow and Corzine would have lots of alone time to discuss things.
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Democrats Blame Palin And Others
Nov 4, 2009 Political
Democrats are giddy at the pick up of the New York Congressional seat in the 23rd District. The talking heads last night blamed it on Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Tim Pawlenty and other conservatives who endorsed the Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman.
The blame is going around and is discussed as evidence that the Republican Party is in disarray but that is not the case. Conservatives (not necessarily Republicans) are tired of RINOs who go to Congress and side with Democrats on the issues. If a person is going to side with them it might as well be a Democrat. The endorsements were from conservatives for a conservative and it was based on ideology over party which for conservatives is country over party.
But that has not stopped the talking heads from claiming that people like Palin endorsing Hoffman hurt him and the right.
This is a lot of bunk. The disarray on the right in the New York race came from the Republicans who shoved a liberal who happens to be registered as a Republican down our throats (actually the throats of the people in the District). Since there is no primary for these kinds of special elections in New York, the party is stuck with whom other politicians select and not necessarily who the people want. The Republicans pumped money in for Scozzafava instead of backing the conservative and then were rewarded when she dropped out and endorsed the Democrat. If the Republican Party had practiced values instead of the party first mentality then Hoffman might have won.
The fact that an unknown with no political experience and who is not particularly dynamic almost won should give pause to both parties.
Interestingly, the Democrats are dismissing the losses of the governorships in Virginia and New Jersey as having nothing to do with Obama. Today they actually threw Corzine under the bus as they trashed him in order to deflect the blame.
But, if the Democrats are going to say that Palin endorsing Hoffman hurt the party then they must apply the same standard to Obama.
Obama not only endorsed the Democrats, he went to New Jersey three times and held five campaign events for Corzine in a dark blue state and the result was a loss. Obama went to Virginia to campaign for Deeds and he lost. If Palin hurt the Right by endorsing Hoffman then Obama certainly hurt the governors by campaigning for them.
The next year is going to be interesting. The Republicans need to embrace their core values and stop being Democrats lite or they will be replaced with conservatives. Democrats need to stop their abuse of government or they will lose Independents.
For Republicans it will mean a shake up of party and for Democrats it might make for a long night during the next election. There are a lot of seats in red states that are held by Democrats who won office in the anti Bush sentiment of the last two elections. They might be in real trouble if they continue taking their marching orders from Pelosi instead of their bosses.
The next twelve months are going to be very interesting.

Democrats Campaign For Third Party Candidate in New Jersey
Nov 3, 2009 Political
The Democrats in New Jersey are campaigning for Independent candidate Chris Daggett. The robocalls are from the New Jersey Democratic State Committee and are telling voters to vote for Daggett. This, of course, is a means to an end and the end is a win for Corzine. Corzine is despised by a large number of the people in New Jersey but since it is a heavily Democratic state, they are having trouble with their vote. They do not want to vote for Corzine but Christie has an “R” next to his name and they have been trained that they are never to punch that button.
The Democrats are trying to get those who decide not to support Corzine to vote Daggett so that they can split the votes and Corzine will win. Once can discuss the ethical implications and the dirty tricks appearance of this but that is for another time. I am zeroed in on two different messages that are generated from this tactic.
The first is, the Democrats know Corzine is a slug, a poor candidate, and not well liked but they want him to win nonetheless so they can keep their stranglehold on the state. So they had to come up with a plan to help him win and since he is not good enough to win on his merits or his record they had to trick voters. By asking people who will not vote for Corzine to vote for Daggett they are effectively getting people who take that path to vote for Corzine.
Folks will think they voted against the man but a vote for Daggett is effectively a vote for Corzine or the Democrats would not be doing this. This can only help Corzine or it would not be the tactic. Democrats want to win, not lose.
People in New Jersey, what does it say about Corzine that his own party would ask you to vote for some other candidate instead of trying to convince you he deserves your vote? How miserable is he that they would ask you to vote for someone else?
On top of that, and the second item, is how stupid do they think the voters are? They are calling you and telling you that if you are upset with Corzine then please vote for this other person. Do they think you are dumb enough to believe that they are not doing this to get Corzine elected? Do they really think you are that stupid and shouldn’t you be angered by their portrayal of you?
It would actually be kind of funny if this plan backfired and Daggett won. It would serve them right for this kind of deception.
As you folks in New Jersey head to the polls keep this in mind. This sleezy tactic is coming from the party of the guy who is already your governor, the guy who has had an administration full of this kind of sleeze. If you vote for him or for Daggett then you are saying that you condone this kind of thing and are happy no matter what they do to you.
You have been hammered with high taxes and high unemployment not to mention the corruption.
The question is, do you want more of the same?
You know you will get it. Look at what they are doing to win…
When Corzine was sworn in he asked you to hold him accountable. Today is the day you get to do that.
