Obama Leadership Equals Crisis Management
Mar 7, 2009 Political
There is no doubt that Barack Obama assembled one of the greatest teams in history to run his campaign. He always had surrogates to go on the attack or to make claims of racism while he appeared to remain above the fray. His fund raising set all kinds of records. He received money from all over the world and some of the donors were American citizens who donated only the legal amount. His team was able to hide the fund raising shenanigans and keep on moving on.
Then the unflappable, charismatic junior Senator from Illinois actually won. That is when he found out that leading a campaign is a lot different than leading the country. Obama is getting more gray hair each day as his “tracking poll” from the stock market keeps making a nosedive. He has already spent more money than the complete cost of the war and has raised the deficit higher than Bush did in eight years. Bush took a small Clinton deficit and nearly doubled it and Obama has nearly tripled it (for those who think Clinton had a surplus, using the same accounting tricks the war on terror has cost NOTHING). Obama said he would abandon the Bush policies and there would not be more of the same. I guess tripling the deficit instead of doubling it counts.
People are getting weary of Obama because he has clearly demonstrated that he cannot lead. He is finding out that it is one thing to run for office and promise the world but that it is quite another to actually have to do something. The leadership of Obama (if we can actually call it that) is crisis management. This has been elaborated upon several times and Obama confirmed it today. The crisis management approach was lain out by Rahm Emanuel who stated:
“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
This was what Rahm said prior to Obama taking office and in the midst of the economic meltdown that was created by Democratic policies and probably assisted along by Obama supporters when there was a mysterious huge run on the financial market.
What the ballerina is saying is that they know that in normal times there are things that would not pass the sniff test in Congress. There are items that will not pass no matter what and that there are others that might pass but they would be politically unwise. With a crisis they can hype it up for all it is worth and pass things that would otherwise never pass just by screaming crisis and telling people that the world will end if we do not act NOW!
Interestingly, Hillary Clinton said the same thing on her little jaunt to Europe.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told an audience Friday “never waste a good crisis,” and highlighted the opportunity of rebuilding economies in a greener, less energy-intensive way. al-Reuters
Here the focus is on the environment and making things all nice and green. But the principle is the same. Use the crisis to scare up support for expensive repairs for an unproven problem and claim it is necessary in order to provide jobs and save Mother Earth. Incidentally, the Earth has been here for millions of years before man set foot on it and it will be here a long time after we are gone. Global warming will not end our time here.
So we have the ballerina and the Secretary of State discussing using a crisis to screw the country and they are on the same sheet of music because that is what their boss, King Hussein has decided to do.
Well, I don’t think he decided to lead that way. I believe that this is the only thing he knows. He has NEVER been a leader in his adult life. He was a rabble rouser in Chicago and he was present in the Illinois legislature. Then he went to the US Senate where he had an unremarkable stint. He ended up in the White House and he could not lead a group of people out of a burning building.
Let me correct that, he could lead his “followers” anywhere because they will do anything he wants. They are lemmings who will follow him off a cliff.
Today on his weekly radio address The Evil Won stated very clearly that his “leadership” style is crisis management.
“Yes, this is a moment of challenge for our country,” Obama said. “But we’ve experienced great trials before. And with every test, each generation has found the capacity to not only endure, but to prosper – to discover great opportunity in the midst of great crisis.” My Way News
The great opportunity of which he speaks is the opportunity for him and his Democrats to spend like there is no tomorrow.
And with them at the wheel, there might not be.

For Crisis Sakes!
Feb 20, 2009 Political
The dialogue a leader has with his people sets the tone and mood of those who are led. When Chuck Schumer mentioned a bank that was failing there was a run on that bank (though one would be hard pressed to actually call Schumer a leader). Barack Obama has given us a dire assessment of the economic situation and each time he speaks of the “catastrophes” the market and the people respond in kind. His latest comes from the speech on 18 February when he was discussing the housing problem and the associated mortgage defaults.
Obama uses the word “crisis” 25 times in the speech. I understand that the situation is gloomy and I don’t want unrealistic, euphoric assessments but a bit of upbeat news might instill confidence in the public.
Of course, when one is trying to have the government take over every aspect of daily life there is no better way than to give the bleakest of pictures and claim that “only” government can fix the problem.
As Reagan once said, government is the problem…
The video reminds me of a South Park episode where the characters said the word sh*t and a counter rang up the total.
With Obama describing the situation it would be more appropriate to add the word BULL to the first part of that expletive South Park shamelessly used (around 200 times).
At least we now know his “leadership” style.
Crisis management…

Iran Prepares Obama’s Crisis Test
Nov 1, 2008 Political
When North Korea conducted nuclear tests the MSM were all over that story. It was over a July 4th holiday and my relaxation was interrupted by continual coverage of the nuclear tests and how the Bush administration had failed. I know, you are surprised as well. Clinton gave the NoKos all the stuff they needed to develop nukes and then took a handshake and a nod that they would only use them for good. The ink on the sales receipts was not even dry before Lil’ Kim started on his nuclear program.
Anyway, the point is that the media were all over it. It was reported for a few days and the Democrats made political hay out of saying that Bush took his eye off North Korea and they went nuclear on us.
President Bush has had his eye on Iran for some time now and he has been warning about Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Iran swears (by Allah) that they are only developing nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Right. Bush is not buying it and neither is Israel because Iran would shoot nuclear missiles at Israel to achieve a dream of wiping out that country. Democrats have been sucking their thumbs worrying that President Bush will go to war with Iran over the issue. Democrats are weak on things like war. They vote for wars when it is politically expedient and then call the wars mistakes and say we need to lose quickly. Obama started off as the guy who would bring our troops home TODAY (his words). Now he will do it in a phased fashion.
Back on track though. There were two recent earthquakes in Iran and a top nuclear scientist there is claiming that they were actually tests of nuclear bombs. That could very well be. The entire time Iran told the world that it had suspended enrichment they actually continued to work. For nearly two years Iran continued moving toward nuclear weaponry while the world thought they were on hold.
The Israeli National News is reporting that a scientist from Iran has claimed the earthquakes were nuclear tests and not really earthquakes. I am not sure if there is a way to tell the difference or not so I have no way of knowing if this person is credible. It is also possible that the claim was “leaked” to stir up controversy.
Regardless, how many stories about this have been on the news? Not many and that is because the media does not want to have a national security issue pop up at the last minute and hurt the chances of The Sainted One of becoming president. Remember, Joe Biden told us to mark his words, the world will test Obama and his response might not look right. Given Obama’s antisemitism perhaps the test is, Iran nukes Israel and Obama ignores it.
If this were not an election year the media would be all over it and blaming George Bush. Fortunately, they are only testing so by the time they get to having nukes the new president will be in office and on the job. If it is Obama we can blame it all on him because it happened on his watch. It would have to be his fault anyway because Joe Biden said that an Obama presidency would bring about the crisis.
If McCain is in office I think Iran will reconsider any attacks on our allies.

Will The World Test A President McCain?
Oct 20, 2008 Political
Joe Biden was at a fund raiser this past week and he told people to mark his words, that President Obama would face an international crisis within six months of taking office. Biden said that the world would test Obama like it did JFK (Obama is no JFK):
“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.” ABC Political Radar
Look at how Biden is saying this. He is telling people that Obama is a young and inexperienced, unproven commodity that will be tested by the world, possibly from Russia or the Middle East. He is saying that if we elect this unproven guy we are inviting some type of test crisis from the bad parts of the world. Joe Biden is saying that the bad guys view Obama as weak and will test him to see what he is made of. Biden is telling us that our enemies are watching and if we elect Obama they believe America will be weaker so they will test that theory.
Biden also tells people that Obama will need their support to stand behind him when the crisis occurs. What he is saying is that when the inexperienced Obama is tested, please don’t get hysterical and jump ship. Please stand behind him to show those who predicted he was not ready on day one that he has support and that they were not really right about him, even though it will look that way. Joe also said it will not be apparent that they are right like if they use military force after bashing Bush for doing so in the face of crisis (or worse yet, treating it like a crime or trying to meet the aggressors without precondition).
Now America, you have to ask yourself if this is who you want as president. Do you want a guy who his own running mate says is so new and unproven that he will be tested with a crisis (could be an attack on us or our interests or it could be something else) to lead this nation? Do you want a guy whose own running mate has just confirmed what we have all (including Biden and Hillary in the primaries) been saying and that is, Obama is not ready to lead on day one which, according to Biden, will lead to a test crisis?
You also have to ask yourself if the world will test John McCain with a crisis. Will the bad guys in the world generate a crisis to test a president McCain as they will a president Obama (like foreign policy expert Joe Biden says) or do they already know what McCain is made of and therefore will not try to test him? If the world equates McCain to Bush, as Obama does, don’t they already know what will happen if our country is threatened?
If the world, according to Joe the Senator, will test Obama’s mettle with a crisis then it is apparent that Obama is viewed as weak by those who seek our demise.
That is one thing we know they cannot say about McCain.
Maybe this is why our enemies are pulling for Obama to win.
