The Green Harry Reid
Sep 15, 2010 Political
It is no secret that those who believe in man made global warming and who carry the banner fail to live the life they expect of the rest of us to live. Al Gore travels all over in jets using tons of fuel and his house uses enough electricity to power a small village. Many elected officials who ride the global warming bandwagon travel in not so fuel efficient vehicles.
Harry Reid, the soon to be ex Senator from Nevada, attended a green event last week and he showed up in a caravan of SUVs. One person who attended thinks that if he were really concerned with global warming he would have used fuel efficient vehicles or hybrids. But that is not the half of it. The event was only 100 yards away.
“I was absolutely astonished, not to mention appalled, that Harry Reid would retain a fleet of gas-guzzling SUVs so that he and a few aides would not have to walk the mere 100 yards to address environmental activists,” said Heartland Institute Senior Fellow James M. Taylor, who took the attached photo. “If greenhouse gas emissions are such a problem, you would think Reid might have actually made the short stroll through the parking lot, or at least retain Priuses rather than large SUVs for the summit,” said Taylor. Detroit News
This is another example of the do as I say, not as I do mentality of the liberal establishment.
Harry Reid is a mental midget. How stupid does he have to be to pull such a stunt when he is in a close race for his job?
Then again, he probably thinks he is a shoo in. After all, it’s his seat.
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Obama Says It Is Not About Him
Jul 22, 2009 Political
It is always about him…
Barack Obama, responding to a statement that failure to pass health care reform could be his Waterloo, stated that this was not about him. Tonight he claimed (in his news conference) that the resistance he sees from Republicans is about politics and that he has not blamed them for things (a lie). He always discusses the obstruction of Republicans without discussing the FACT that it is his party that is causing the delay. The Democrats have enough votes in both chambers to pass anything without one Republican voting yes. If it is not going anywhere it is because of the Democrats.
Obama is playing this game as if he is the all knowing, all seeing, man with the plan who is trying so hard for our chirren while people are trying to take him down. It is not about me, he says. So one has to ask, if politics is not part of his game and he only has the best interests of the country in mind, why would he tell Democrats that if they fail on this it will destroy his presidency?
“Let’s just lay everything on the table,” Grassley said. “A Democrat congressman last week told me after a conversation with the president that the president had trouble in the House of Representatives, and it wasn’t going to pass if there weren’t some changes made … and the president says, ‘You’re going to destroy my presidency.’ ” National Journal Congress Daily
If this is not about him or politics, why would he make this claim?
The media and the Obama supporters have set high expectations for this guy and he helped with the whole mess. He set an aggressive agenda to take advantage of his popularity because he knew it would not last and that he needed to get it done before he lost his political capital.
Obama admitted he has not read and does not know what is in the bill. No matter what they come up with he will not read it and neither will any member of Congress. They will slip all kinds of things in there and screw us badly.
A few points:
Obama tonight stated that if we can make health care cheaper than it is now (even if it is just a few thousand dollars per person) that this would be money that could go back into the pockets of workers. This is wrong. In his opening he said that they were going to pay for this with the savings their plan produces. It will not produce savings but allowing it for the sake of argument, the entire saved amount will go back to the system to pay for it which means that we still spend the same amount of money and still not cover everyone.
It is claimed that 45 million people have no insurance. This is misleading. When those who can afford it and choose not to have it are subtracted along with those who are illegal aliens (who will be covered by Obama’s plan) then the actual number of uninsured who cannot get (or afford) insurance is about 12 million. Why are we restructuring the entire health care system for a very small portion of the population? Surely we can come up with something to take care of those who truly cannot afford health care (if for some unknown reason they are not eligible for programs already on board) without mandating that everyone get a government run program and without forcing business to provide health insurance. Surely we can do this better without spending another couple trillion dollars.
Part of Obama’s problem is that he has lost some credibility. When he said that we had to rush to pass the stimulus now or the world would end he told us that the plan would have immediate results. He specifically said that unemployment would not go above 8% with the stimulus but would go above 10% if we did not pass it. He actually said if we did nothing but this is a strawman argument. The Republicans were offering ideas that would produce jobs and help the economy but Obama and the Dems would not listen. Obama is now backtracking and saying that the stimulus is on track because it was supposed to be long term. This is different than when he said it would have an immediate impact. The unemployment numbers show that he was wrong. Joe Biden said they guessed wrong. No one understood the gravity of the situation.
We need to oppose this and we need to keep on the so called Blue Dogs. Members who vote for this need to have a target on their backs during the next election. We already have the traitors on the right who voted for the stimulus and they need to be gone. Next we target all the ones who vote for this power grab that is designed to give government more control and give Obama a legacy.
And remember this folks. When given the opportunity to make it legally binding for members of Congress, their families and their staff to enroll in this boondoggle only 3 Democrats voted for the idea. None of them want it and none of them will have it. They want to be able to go to hospitals where they have private suites reserved for them with private chefs who prepare their meals. This is what they have reserved at Walter Reed at a cost of nearly a million dollars a year. About 9 beds are there and they are hardly ever used but if a member of Congress gets sick that is where he will receive care. While we wait in line for our substandard, rationed government care, they will be getting treated like royalty.
It is time to take this country back. Screw the Canadian system, screw socialized medicine and screw any liberal who does not like it and that includes the jug eared Socialist at the top.
One day this country is going to have another revolution. That is a legacy that Obama will not be happy with.

Obama Orders Pizza Chef For Delivery
Apr 11, 2009 Political
All The Way From St. Louis!
It must be nice to be the King.
On Friday nights my wife and I order out (usually pizza) and we watch recorded shows from the past week. This is our time together and we enjoy it. We order our food from the local place and they deliver. It is about 4 miles from here and sometimes one of us picks it up on the way home. We get the pizza and not the guy who cooks it and we get it from close by.
The Obamas ordered out pizza and they had it delivered. Well actually, they had the pizza chef delivered all the way from St. Louis Missouri. Chris Sommers of pi restaurant in St. Louis flew to DC with his business partner and a case of dough and the pans needed to make the president and his staff a few pizzas.
This was supposed to be the guy who is just like you and me, who understands what we are saying and who will bring a new kind of politics to DC. Having a pizza chef fly in from Missouri to make you pizzas is something one expects from the elitists in DC and only goes to show that Obama is one of those elitists. He ate this guy’s pizzas during the campaign and decided that he wanted them so he had the guy fly in to make them.
For all you environmental whack jobs who keep telling me about global warming and what I have to do, take a look at your Resident. This guy had no problem with a carbon footprint involved in flying two men nearly 2000 miles round trip just so the sainted one could enjoy a pizza.
Obama has lost any credibility he had in this issue and cap and trade is now a non issue and off the table. Obama, like Al Gore, only wants EVERYONE else to deal with the alleged problems of CO2 and global warming. It is perfectly OK for these elitists to use more energy and to create more carbon (neither of which I am opposed to) in a week than some people do in a year.
The cost of this will be borne by the taxpayer one way or another. Either it will come out of the food budget or it will be paid out of the WH budget, both of which are funded by taxpayers. In a time when people are losing their jobs, when businesses are on the verge of bankruptcy, when the government is spending trillions in bailouts and stimulus, when people are wondering where their next meal will come from, Daddy Warbucks Obama is ordering take out pizza chefs from St. Louis and having them fly to DC to prepare him a meal. Maybe Obama will say this is part of the stimulus and it created or SAVED two jobs…
If George Bush had done this we would hear non stop squawking from the left about how a privileged, rich, oil man Republican went to excess to eat a simple pizza while people starved around the country.
I am constantly amazed by athletes and rappers who come from nothing and are suddenly wealthy and famous and then get into a bunch of trouble or demonstrate excessive behavior. The rappers with 25 cars and zillion dollar homes when they lived in a box somewhere before becoming rich. Resident Obama reminds of one of those kinds of people. All of the sudden he has all of our money at his fingertips because he has a Democratic Congress and all of the sudden he has all this fame, like a messiah, and he does not know how to handle it.
Just because you can do something does not mean you should do something. Resident Obama is able to get a chef from about anywhere to come to DC but should he? The appearance is of excess and of elitism and that is an image he does not need to portray especially during times of economic trouble especially since he ran as a person who was none of these things, a DC outsider.
Good news, the economy is picking up (and in no part because of the stimulus) but that does not mean that Obama should be acting like a king. Yes, the left called George Bush King George.
Now we have King Hussein and he is acting every bit the part.
God help us if he gets the munchies and decides he wants real Chinese food…

Obama Supports Private School Choice, for His Kids…
Aug 12, 2008 Political
Barack Obama, like most Democrats, opposes school choice and voucher programs. He believes that all children should be forced to attend the public school system where they will be properly indoctrinated into the mindset of government run everything. The Democrats are in bed with the teacher’s unions and therefore have to support programs that require all children to attend a public school system that is failing miserably mainly because the unions care more about teacher pensions and less about child performance. Yes, the Democrats believe that parents should not be allowed to send their children to private schools on a voucher program because, to them, the public system is adequate.
Adequate for everyone else’s children. It is no secret that many politicians send their children to private schools. It is also no secret that while they are giving speeches about how great the public school system is, they are ensuring that their children do not attend the public schools. When asked, they indicate that this was the best choice for their children. In other words, they believe that they should be able to choose but you should not. Barack Obama is no different.
While Obama is deriding voucher plans as tired schemes and while he receives the endorsement of the teacher’s unions and while he is extolling the virtues of a public education he is sending his little darlings to a private school. He is paying over $15 thousand a year per child to send his girls to private school and he says it is because that is the best choice for them. In other words, Obama’s kids deserve what is best for them and because he can afford it, they get it. The rest of you rubes have to send your kids to the public school system because no Democrat will allow vouchers so that your kids can get the same good education.
It has to be that way. Chelsea Clinton got her private education, the Kennedy kids went to private schools (as do nearly all children of politicians) and now the Obama kids. All the while, your kids are attending the substandard public school system. This is the way it has to be in order for the elite in this country to continue their rule. If your kids did not go to public schools who would Obama’s kids rule over when they get elected to office?
Look at all the people in politics who have children in some sort of service as either politicians or as lobbyists. This is a nepotistic system that allows generations of families to rule the rest of us and the only way they can continue to do this is to ensure that their children have all the advantages while they keep the rest of the children in the country stuck in the mire of the public system.
The next time Obama tells you that the public system is great ask him why his kids are not in it. As with every other hypocritical position, he will give you a BS answer as to why things should be different for him and his family than they are for you and yours.

Obama and Clinton Ignore Facts
Apr 12, 2008 Political
While making a point about the loss of jobs during a speech in San Francisco, Barack Obama not only insulted a bunch of small town people but he demonstrated elitism and his belief that people who believe the Constitution and who practice religion are out of touch. Obama was making his speech when he said:
“You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them,” Obama said.
“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” al-Reuters
What Barry is saying here is that losing jobs is a problem and that people get upset by these problems. Nothing wrong so far but then he says that because there are problems people cling to guns or religion and become racists. This is no different than saying that people get upset and turn to alcohol and other drugs. To Obama, people only cling to religion or guns when there is badness in their lives as if it is a bad thing to cling to any of these things, especially religion. The only people I worry about clinging to religion are the Muslims and people who attend churches like the one Obama belongs to. Attending a racist and hate filled church for 20 years is a better definition of clinging.
In any event, there is nothing wrong in clinging to religion in good times and bad. There is nothing wrong with people wanting to own guns. I have to assume he meant owning guns and not clinging to guns for violence because he was talking about small towns. There are very few gun crimes in small towns. Most of the gun violence, if that is what he meant, is in the large, mostly black and Hispanic, cities. The small rural towns are mostly white and people don’t go around shooting each other and they have a strong religious conviction.
And yes, Obama was calling people racists when he described antipathy for those who are not like them. I can certainly see why people have anti immigrant (ILLEGAL immigrant) feelings and I can understand why they are suspicious of outsiders. There is nothing inherently wrong with these feelings. Obama has antipathy for those who do not look like him.
All Barry did was vocally express his actual feelings and how he envisions society. He wants to remove religion, guns and bring in more ILLEGALS.
As for Hillary, she laid into Obama for his elitist views. She discussed how important the Second Amendment is and that it conveys an individual right, something that conservatives have known since the thing was written. The problem is that Hillary vehemently opposes guns and she worked very hard in 1999 to get strict gun control laws passed. Hillary Clinton was getting ready to run for the Senate in New York where they like gun control (at least the most populous city does) so she was right with them. Pennsylvania has more gun owners and conceal carry permits than just about any other state (and none of them are running around shooting each other). It only follows suit that Hillary would have to pander to the beliefs of the people in PA even if her words were at odds with her feelings and past actions.
There is not a measurable bit of difference between these two. They are both big government Socialists who believe that the common person is unable to run his own life. They believe that people can only accomplish things when the government is involved.
I met a woman recently who is 60 years old. She told me that she used to pick through the dump for clothes for her family. Now she is a millionaire because of hard work and perseverance and none of it involved welfare or government intervention. People are most successful when they are unencumbered by government.
Hillary and Barry do not understand this. To them, we are a bunch of rubes who can’t breathe without their interventions.
In either case, Obama is pandering to those in San Fran at the expense of those in PA and Hillary was for gun control before she was against it. With either one we get Socialism and government intervention that will stifle growth. The last thing we need is for them to run our lives. I am pretty sure I can do a much better job of it.
I have so far…
