Ditching Obama Would Be An Admission Of Failure

Two Democrat pollsters, Patrick H. Caddell and Douglas E. Schoen, are saying that Obama should not run for reelection and should instead allow Hillary Clinton to run. These pollsters believe that doing this is the best chance Democrats have for keeping control of the White House.

I believe that such a move would certainly energize Democrats who have become disillusioned over Obama and his failures and will certainly increase Democrat voter turnout in the next election but there is a problem. If this situation were to occur it would be a huge admission that the Democrats made a mistake in 2008.

The next logical question would be how can we trust them not to make a mistake again? Clinton and Obama have basically the same political views and both desire the same Socialist policies for the country. They both have no problem with government programs that keep people in poverty and enslaved to government because they are both part of the wealthy elite.

Clinton is a bit more likable than Obama and has more experience (though her biggest qualification for office was that she is married to a former president) than Obama but there is no guarantee she will run the country any differently. She tried to give us Obamacare during her husband’s time in office (it was called Hillarycare back then) so it is highly unlikely she would do anything to dismantle it. In fact, she would probably work hard to make it more controlling over our lives.

Even if voters were unable to see the similarities between these two people the Republican nominee would most certainly point them out. Additionally, the Democrats would get hammered for admitting that it was a mistake to elect Obama. How could they go to America and say “elect Hillary because we know she is the best” when they did not elect her last time. Obama was their best back then so how can they change?

Don’t get me wrong, they are politicians looking to keep power so they will say whatever they need to. The problem is not that they say it; the problem is that there are too many people who believe it.

That might be changing as more people are reading, listening, and getting involved in politics.

I know it would be tempting for Hillary to step up to save the day especially after she was screwed out of the nomination by fraud from the Obama campaign during the Democratic primaries in 2008. The problem for her is she would have a much harder time now because she would be following the person she eventually supported. Hillary has been on board for all of Obama’s missteps and has supported everything he has done.

It will be hard for her to distance herself or to show she is any different. It will also be hard for her to shake the problems that would be caused by Democrats openly admitting the mistake of Obama.

Caddell and Schoen might think it would benefit Democrats if Obama opted out and Hillary ran but that is just a pipedream.

The reality of the situation would make it more of a nightmare for Democrats…

Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Hillary Then And Now

In 1998 when Bill Clinton’s sex scandal was the big news, news that broke because Matt Drudge posted it after it was quashed in the MSM, Hilary had an opinion about the Internet. Hillary said she did not know what she was in favor of but it sounded like she favored some kind of regulation.

…I don’t know what — that’s why I said I don’t know what I’m in favor of. And I don’t know enough to know what to be in favor of, because I think it’s one of those new issues we’ve got to address. We’ve got to see whether our existing laws protect people’s right of privacy, protect them against defamation. And if they can, how do you do that when you can press a button and you can’t take it back. So I think we have to tread carefully. Drudge Report

Hillary said that without some kind of gatekeeping function it was difficult to defend a reputation. It probably did not occur to her that Bill’s reputation was hurt when he had the affair and then lied about it. If he had been telling the truth then it would have been Drudge’s reputation that needed to be defended.

Thirteen years later and with news of China continuing to censor the Internet, Ms. Clinton still has an opinion though it is different than it was back then.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday called for an unfettered worldwide Internet and urged global condemnation of those who conduct cyber attacks, as China sought to contain tension with the United States over the hacking and censorship of Google.

“A new information curtain is descending across much of the world,” she said, calling growing Internet curbs the modern equivalent of the Berlin Wall.

“We stand for a single Internet where all of humanity has equal access to knowledge and ideas,” said Clinton in a major address that cited China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt among countries that censored the Internet or harassed bloggers. Yahoo News

Well things have certainly changed with regard to her position on this.

Did it change because the scandal left Bill relatively unscathed and now China is the focus?

What do you think prompted her position reversal? I would be interested to read your opinions in the comment section.

Israel Should Tell Hillary To Take A Hike

Who does Hillary Clinton think she is to go over to Israel and give them a hard time for what she says is placing obstacles in the path of relief supplies for Gaza? Clinton is complaining that Israel is not letting enough relief supplies into the area and John Kerry had to convince them to let pasta in. Evidently, only rice was on the list of approved supplies.

I don’t know or care if there is a hold up in the supplies getting through. Israel has every right to ensure that what is going in is actually humanitarian in nature and not supplies to rearm the terrorists who continue to launch rockets into the country.

As far as I am concerned, Gaza is fortunate that Israel is letting anything at all in. Israel just kicked the snot our of the bad guys in Gaza and it went to great lengths to ensure innocent people were not harmed. Israel is trying to ensure that Gaza gets supplies to help those who were innocent victims of Hamas. But their pace is not quick enough for Clinton.

Israel should tell her to pound sand in her ample caboose and to STF up.

If Hillary Clinton is so concerned about problems at a border she can come back to the US and address the issue of ILLEGALS coming across ours.

Israel is blocking building materials from entering the country which means the 900 million dollars our government wants to use to rebuild will not be any good if there are no supplies.

Let’s get it straight. Israel wants to live on its own land and it wants to be left alone. Its neighbors will not leave it alone and those neighbors keep attacking Israel. I don’t care what the issues are, Israel has its land and the Palestinians will have to do with what they have. Israel has given up territory time and again in hopes of peace only to be attacked time and again.

Now is the time for Israel to continue to assert itself until there is peace or everyone who is attacking is eliminated.

Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi like to tell Republicans that they [Democrats] won. This is their way of saying that what they want trumps what Republicans want.

Well, Israel won. It won decades ago and it kept the land that it conquered. It has gradually given some of it back but make no mistake about it, Israel won then and it won this most recent conflict. This means that it gets to assert its will on the conquered.

Maybe Israel will wise up and realize that the Obama administration is not friendly toward the Joooooooooos and the tiny, hated country in which they live.

Regardless, Hillary Clinton has no business telling them how to run their show.

Caroline Kennedy Is Now Pandering

Caroline Kennedy is now about a week into her “hey I’m entitled, pick me” tour and she has begun to take a little heat. She has appeared as standoffish, has refused to answer anything more than basic questions, and has refused to release financial information. She has been beaten on by people who think she has no experience and seeks the job out of a sense of entitlement.

To be fair, Hillary has yet to resign and Paterson has not narrowed the list down so why should Kennedy have to release financial information? As for questions, I know the seat is not yet open but if she is going to make this trek across New York then she should be prepared to answer them.

Taken back by the assault on her desire for the seat as nothing more than entitlement Kennedy lashed back with the pander of all panders. Two things moved her to serve. They were 9/11 and working on the campaign of Barack Obama, the Halfrican from parts unknown.

She has used the 9/11 mantra of the right and the reference to the Sainted on of the left in order to appease everyone. She is absolutely pathetic.

Let’s look at this. If 9/11 moved her to serve in office, why did she wait so long? 9/11 happened over 7 years ago and there have been several elected offices contested since that time. If Kennedy were really moved to serve by 9/11, wouldn’t she have moved a little faster? Perhaps she handled this with same diligence she handled voting. She had it pointed out to her that she has voted half the time since 2008 and she was glad to have it brought to her attention.

How dingy does one have to be to not know? Why did someone have to point it out to her? I guess she is as motivated to serve as she is to vote…

Geez, and people call George Bush and Sarah Palin stupid. Imagine if Palin has failed to vote in half the elections or if she said she was moved to serve because of 9/11. Things are always different for a princess and Kennedy is a princess from Camelot.

If this is how Kennedy handles things then she needs another line of work. I realize the Senate moves at a glacial pace but Kennedy takes the cake for slow.

As for working on the campaign of Obama, well that is nothing more than a reminder to all the liberal twits and white guilt morons who elected this unknown quantity to the highest office in the land. Obama is a hot commodity and Kennedy wants to remind people that she was one of the ones who got on board, along with uncle Teddy, the Obama train early. It was a Kennedy who help elevate a black man and now she wants to serve him and the people of New York to complete God’s work that was started by her father oh so many years ago.

This dingbat needs to go back to whatever it was she was doing and stay out of politics.

Fortunately, some Democrats are not thrilled with her so maybe a qualified person will be selected. My bet is on Andrew Cuomo. That way Paterson does not have to worry about him as an opponent in the next governor’s race. Kennedy would not prove much of a threat so there is no need to get rid of her.

Where Is The Change In Clinton Part II?

Barack Obama ran a two year campaign for the presidency with a chant of hope and change and a claim that he is a Washington outsider and that he will change the way things are done. Change is on the way, he has chanted for the past two years. He lamented about the way business is done in DC and how he will change all that. No more business a usual. A lot of people bought this load of bunk but just as many voted for him to cleanse their souls of white guilt or because he is black. In any event, how much change is this so called “outsider” bringing?

During the primaries Obama said that Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton were part of the problem in DC. They were part of the business as usual network and electing them would bring more of the same. Then, after he won the primary, Obama picked Biden to be his Vice President. Biden has been in the Senate nearly as long as Obama has been alive and yet this is the best Obama could come up with for “change.”

Now that he has won the presidency, he is looking to make Hillary Clinton the Secretary of State. If the reason we needed to vote for him was because Biden and Clinton were part of the problem, how does putting them in these positions actually result in any “change?”

Obama’s cabinet will look like Clinton redux. He has selected Eric Holder to be the Attorney General. Holder is a “veteran” DC lawyer and served as Deputy AG in the Clinton administration. How exactly is it change to put a DC insider and past Clinton crony in this position?

As Obama gets deeper and deeper into the process of vetting people to serve in his administration a large number of seasoned political insiders and people who served under Clinton are being mentioned. It looks like Obama will have very few outsiders (if any) in his administration of change. Tell me again how change is on the way…

After selecting so many Clinton retreads for his administration the only thing Obama will have to do is bring Monica Lewinsky on as an intern.

Guess that can’t happen. She blew any chance she had at getting back in the White House. Too bad. He might have liked having her on his staff.
