Pelosi Pounds President On Jobs
Feb 5, 2010 Political
Pelosi is hopping mad about the jobs numbers. This is from Nancy Pelosi’s Congressional website:
Washington, D.C. — House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ announcement that 470,000 people abandoned their job searches in July and that 3.2 million private sector jobs have been lost since President Bush took office:
“The fact is that President Bush’s misguided economic policies have failed to create jobs. Since President Bush took office, the country has lost 3.2 million jobs, the worst record since President Hoover. And today we learned that in July nearly half a million people gave up looking for a job.
“Job losses are taking a real toll on the financial security of American families. While Democrats are fighting for opportunity, jobs, and economic security for working families, Republicans continue to focus on helping those who need help the least.
“According to today’s survey, while the national unemployment rate dropped slightly, it still stands at a near record high. In addition, the unemployment rate for African Americans was still over 11 percent in July, and the unemployment rate for Hispanics was 8.2 percent in July.
Pelosi is really taking the White House to task on these job numbers and the Republicans who are not stepping up to the plate. Who would have thought Pelosi would be so harsh?
Well, I would have because this is from August 2003 and it ends like this:
“It is time for President Bush and the Republicans to get to work for all Americans, not just the elite few.”
The numbers back then were better than they are now but I am willing to bet that Pelosi will not be out bashing Obama around and speaking this kind of smack.
No, she is a partisan hypocrite and will say anything. She is no different than Obama who is now doing the same things that he attacked George Bush for, you know, things like running deficits.
Nancy Pelosi is a jackass hypocrite who is actively pushing a radical agenda in support of the radical in the White House.
It is time to rid our country of these people.
Vote them out.

Obama Lectures On Fiscal Responsibility Then Spends Too Much
Feb 4, 2010 Political
Barack Obama ticked off the people of Las Vegas for a second time when he said that people could not just go to Vegas and blow a bunch of money. Of course, the money is yours (though he might see it differently) and what you do with it is your business. But, if you are blowing your money in Vegas or anywhere else you should not be looking for a government handout. Obama’s latest economic advice is:
“When times are tough, you tighten your belts.”
“You don’t go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage….”
“You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you’re trying to save for college.” Charlie Foxtrot
I do not disagree with any of that but if you decide not to tighten your belt, to buy a boat or to blow your money in Vegas it is your business. Just don’t ask the taxpayer to pay for your lack of fiscal prudence.
The hilarity of all this is that Obama, while admonishing people and extolling the virtues of fiscal responsibility, submitted a budget that increases spending by 36% and runs a huge deficit.
Obama doubled the deficit in his first year (Dick Morris explains how it is not all Bush’s fault) and will increase the deficit by even more with his out of control spending.
In other words Mr. Obama, you can’t spend money you don’t have if you really want to decrease the deficit.
It is amazing that Obama had the nerve to dispense economic advice while doing the opposite of what he preached.
My wife and I have a balanced household budget. We spend less than we make and put the rest into savings and retirement. This was not always the case as I can remember the days when I made $600 a month as a private in the Army while trying to support my family. There were plenty of months where we had three days of food and five days until payday.
We did without and were prudent with our money and now we are in positions where we earn enough to pay our bills and save. We did this by doing without. We lived (and continue to live) within our means.
Barack Obama should try running his budget the way we run ours and the government would be better off. Do without the things that are not necessary. Cut programs (particularly redundant ones) and spend less.
But then again it is always easier to spend when it is someone else’s money.
As long as we taxpayers allow those in government to extort money from us they will continue to spend like there is no tomorrow.
And if they keep it up there will be no tomorrow.

Obama Is Just One Of Us
Dec 2, 2008 Political
Isn’t it interesting how things change when politicians get elected? All during the campaign Barack Obama portrayed himself to be one of us, an outsider who was here to change politics as usual. He was an average guy like us and the campaign was not about him but about all of us. No one on the left paid attention to the political connections he has and the money that was thrown his way. This so called average guy has a million dollar home partly paid for by friends and his wife got a high paying job because of his political clout. But pay no attention to that, the guy is an average Joe the Senator…
Here we are in tough economic times (though the crowd at the malls this weekend tells me they are not that tough) where Americans are losing jobs and people are forced to cut back. We have unemployment rising and people losing tens of thousands of dollars in the market and from their retirment accounts. It is a mess and we are all in this together.
All of us except Barack Obama who purchased a $30,000 ring for his wife. He bought her the ring (actually it is being specially made) for supporting him which is kind of strange because married people are supposed to support each other. My wife supports me and I her and neither of us feels compelled to buy the other a $30,000 ring. The last celebrity who bought his wife an expensive ring (that was made newsworthy) was Kobe Bryant and that was because he was having sex with another woman. Obama will screw the nation but that does not count as infidelity.
In today’s economic climate it would have been a lot better if Obama had waited or had kept this quiet. Now he looks even more like a hypocrite.
One also needs to ask about the material for the ring. It will be made of rhodium which is rare. Only a small quantity is mined each year in Africa. What kind of conditions do those miners work under and how did this purchase help to exploit them. The ring will have diamonds so one has to wonder what kind of mine they came from as well.
Also, it might have been a good idea for the guy who claims that jobs left America under George Bush to have an American company make the ring. Instead of outsourcing the job he could have had it made here with American materials. It would have been nice if his $30k had been pumped into the American economy…
But then again, Democrats (especially the liberal elitists) believe that you should do as they say and not as they do.

Maryland Governor Pulls a Ted Kennedy
Apr 13, 2008 Political
The governor of Maryland, Martin O’Malley, is a far left politician who governs like most from the left. He takes feel good ideas and runs with them regardless of fact or reason. He has bought off on global warming and intends to make Maryland the model of being green. The boy governor just signed legislation requiring an increase in renewable energy but like all liberals, he does not want the requirements to interfere with life. Ted Kennedy opposed wind farms because they blocked his view and O’Malley opposes them on state owned land because they will take away from the natural beauty of the areas set aside for residents.
“While we must continue to explore and make progress on creating a more sustainable and independent energy future for Maryland, we will not do so at the expense of the special lands we hold in the public trust,” the Democratic governor said.
O’Malley spoke at a news conference at a scenic overlook in the Savage River State Forest. Opponents had claimed that allowing 40-story windmills on state-owned land in mountainous western Maryland would reduce its recreational value, spoil the landscape and lower property values, especially in the thriving Deep Creek Lake resort area of Garrett County. WBAL
I am willing to bet that if the state decides that wind turbines will go in a neighborhood or on lands near a neighborhood he will not allow citizens to nix the deal based on natural beauty or property values. I am quite certain that the lands that home owners hold dear will be confiscated under eminent domain and used for the turbines. The people will have little say in the matter and O’Malley will chide those who oppose as enemies of the environment.
This is just another example of a liberal making a rule that only applies to others. The state should be the leader in this effort and state lands should be used to put up the wind farms. Instead, private property will one day be confiscated for this purpose. Mark my words, private property will be taken for the common good and the harm to property owners will not be a problem the liberals will care about.
If this state wants to put up wind turbines to generate electricity I suggest putting the turbines outside the governor’s mansion. O’Malley is so full of hot air he could power the state for decades. If they ever figure out how to produce electricity from manure then the Maryland legislature could provide power to the country for the rest of the century.

Bill Clinton; “Tell the Truth”
Feb 18, 2008 Political
If there is anything in politics that rings hollow it is a politician telling people to tell the truth. It is particularly disturbing that lying to Congress carries a five year jail term yet Congress lies to us, their employers, all the time. Most disturbing of all discussions of the truth is when Bill Clinton admonishes people and demands that they tell the truth. Given Bill Clinton’s inability to tell the truth, one would wonder why he demands it of others.
At a speech Bill Clinton lashed out at pro life people in the crowd. One person in particular, seems to have riled the former president. Clinton is heard admonishing the person and then says “Tell the truth, tell the truth. You want to make criminals out of women and their doctors.” He then goes on to say that is what pro life people want but will not say because it is not politically tenable. Of course, he then goes on to tell how Hillary has done the most to limit abortions.
Any time Bill Clinton yells “tell the truth” I wonder where his head is. I assume it is in a body cavity that has the aroma of E. coli and that the fumes are clouding his ability to think. Clinton does not know what the truth is. He has been caught in one lie after another and he and his wife believe that they should lie, lie, lie and deny, deny, deny. If they get caught they will have watered down the charges sufficiently by then. There is no way to deny Clinton is a liar. He lied on national TV and he admitted to that lie. He was convicted of lying under oath so the public record is pretty clear on the issue.
In addition to his blatant hypocrisy, Clinton makes accusations that smack in the face of reality. No one wants to make women and doctors criminals. What people want is to outlaw abortion. This issue was decided by the SCOTUS and they got it wrong. Those who support abortions like to point the decision out but forget that somehow the Court was able to find the word abortion in the Constitution. It is not there and it never has been. The same people who claim that abortion is a Constitutional right are the ones who want to ban guns even though the “right to keep and bear arms” is contained in the Constitution (don’t let them fool you with their pro gun talk while campaigning, they oppose gun ownership).
Regardless, abortion is not an issue that should have ever risen to the federal level. This is a state issue and should have stayed at the state level. However, outlawing abortion is not a matter of trying to make any person a criminal. It is designed to make the act illegal. If a woman and her doctor decided to conduct an abortion they would be guilty of breaking the law just as doctors who disclose protected health information are guilty of violating the law. No one ever claimed that enacting HIPAA was an attempt to make doctors criminals. Laws are designed to place limits on the acts the people of a society may engage in. Speed limits are designed to keep people driving at a safe speed but no one suggests that enacting speed limits is an attempt to make all drivers criminals. Certainly, no woman is ILLEGAL because Hillary told us that while pandering for votes.
The debate over whether an unborn child is a blob of cells or a life is ongoing and it is a debate for another post. Suffice it to say that after conception, the “product of conception” has human DNA. The Bible tells us that the life is in the blood; blood begins to flow about 14 days after conception. Regardless of how science and theology debate this issue, one thing is certain; politicians have already weighed in and told us that an unborn child is a human being. They did this when they passed laws that allowed them to charge an assailant with two crimes when a mother and her unborn child are injured or killed. Scott Peterson was charged with two murders when he killed his pregnant wife.
Bill Clinton and his band of merry thieves are entitled to believe what they want and there are those who still worship the ground this cretin walks on. He will never lose credibility with a certain crowd no matter how much he lies and no matter how much he demands others tell the truth. He is a typical liberal who believes the rules do not apply to him but by God you had better follow them. The Clintons are certainly entitled to believe in abortion and they are free to believe that a product of conception is worthless. I know that they are both products of conception and I find them to have no value.
When I see Bill and Hillary Clinton I wish their mothers had believed in abortion and exercised that option. They are good examples of why some animals eat their young.
