From Global Warming To Ice Age

Scientists are now predicting that we might suffer a mini ice age of 20 to 30 years. This prediction changes the assertions that we have to act now to keep the seas from rising and the Earth from melting or any of the other apocalyptic stuff spewed by the global warming drones.
According to scientists who believe in global warming and who are on board with all the Al Gore hokey stuff, we might be in for an ice age before we get back to serious global warming.
The bitter winter afflicting much of the Northern Hemisphere is only the start of a global trend towards cooler weather that is likely to last for 20 or 30 years, say some of the world’s most eminent climate scientists.
Their predictions – based on an analysis of natural cycles in water temperatures in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans – challenge some of the global warming orthodoxy’s most deeply cherished beliefs, such as the claim that the North Pole will be free of ice in
summer by 2013.According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado, Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007 – and even the most committed global warming activists do not dispute this.
The scientists’ predictions also undermine the standard climate computer models, which assert that the warming of the Earth since 1900 has been driven solely by man-made greenhouse gas emissions and will continue as long as carbon dioxide levels rise.
This challenge to the widespread view that the planet is on the brink of an irreversible catastrophe is all the greater because the scientists could never be described as global warming ‘deniers’ or sceptics. Daily Mail UK
I guess if you can no longer hide the decline you need to embrace it. The world is very cold this month and was very cold last month. The last decade is reported to be the warmest on record (our records do not go back very far) but this new decade is starting off as a very cold one and if we get into an ice age of 20 or 30 years then we will have a climate and not just weather. We will have cold and not global warming.
Then the true deniers, those who deny the Earth warms and cools in cycles and that the warmer periods are generally the most productive in history, will be screeching about global cooling and the new ice age heading our way.
Al Gore will open a chain of SUV dealerships so we can all increase our carbon footprints and stop the world from freezing.
But wait. According to Al and his drones we have increased our carbon footprint. We have allegedly put more carbon in the atmosphere than there has been at any other time (not true) and the scientists could not hide the decline and are now predicting a mini ice age.
So does carbon cause warming or cooling? It is hard to keep track of because Al said we would get warmer because of it and these other fellows are saying that we will have an ice age despite it.
It is all so confusing and unpredictable.
Perhaps that is why we call it nature.
Either way humans will be here in the next decade and the decades after that and we will not be dying of the heat. No matter what happens it is not worth the money that it will cost to do cap and trade or to impose other rules regarding this issue.
In other words, let nature take its course.
I know liberals think they elected a messiah but how arrogant must they be to believe we have the ability to change the climate in any meaningful way?
Hmmm, Mars got warmer when the Earth did. That would tend to take away the man made aspect to all this. But what do the Earth and Mars have in common?

Obama; Earth Day For Thee But Not For Me

Barack Obama is admittedly the most tech savvy person ever to occupy the White House. His network of electronic supporters is in the millions and he is so attached to new technology he is getting a special super dooper Blackberry so he can stay connected. His staff includes a bunch of young folks who are wise to the electronic age. He has used web based video to his advantage and yet, he declined to use technology on Earth Day.
Barack Obama went on a little trip to Des Moines in Air Force One to talk about Earth Day and how we all had to conserve. He burned about 9000 gallons of fuel in order to tell us to conserve. This is another do as I say moment for an elected official.
With all the tech wizards he has around him would it have been too difficult for him to give his sermon from the White House and broadcast it via the Internet? He could have saved 9000 gallons of fuel and the resultant carbon footprint by using technology instead of an airplane (and helicopter and limo).
He is cut from the same cloth as Al Gore who tells us to ride bikes and reduce our carbon footprint while he uses more energy in a year than some small countries.
It all amounts to we the people are supposed to cut back and conserve but those who are leading us are free to use as they wish because they are important. Besides, the taxpayer paid for the fuel and the trip so what does it matter to The Won?
I have always been skeptical of Earth Day and the celebrations. The hypocrites who attend the gatherings use fuel to get there, smoke tobacco (and who knows what else) and then leave tons of trash lying around. All the while they tell us to save the planet for our children.
If only they had the same approach with regard to the out of control spending by our government. Man Made Global Warming is unproven and those who, in 1975, said we would be in an ice age by 2000 are telling us we will be melting in a decade. They can’t tell us with certainty what the weather will be this weekend but they can tell us what it will be in 10 years.
The debt we are accumulating, at record paces mind you, will absolutely be passed on to our children and grandchildren and the sad thing is they have no hope of ever being able to pay it all off.
All that fuel and he could have accomplished much more by using the web.
Do as I say and not as I do you peons.
Before the libs start linking to show me how much fuel Bush used on past Earth Days keep in mind the premise. Obama is the most tech savvy leader of this country. And Obama is a worshiper of global warming while Bush was not.

Freezing Out Global Warming

There are millions of people on this planet who have bought into the idea that the Earth is warming up and that mankind is responsible for it. Al Gore has become even richer by making error filled movies and preaching about corkscrew shaped light bulbs (which I happen to like) in order to save our planet, a planet he said had a fever. The global warming movement has a lot of scientists who believe that the Earth is warming and they are sure that man is causing it and that we must do something now. They are willing to bet their government grants that global warming is real.
Of course, there are just as many scientists who have doubts about global warming. Of the scientists on both sides of the issue, many are not geophysicists, or climate specialists, however they do have some idea about the scientific process. That process does not include chanting that something is real over and over until people accept it as fact. Science deals with proving or disproving that which is posited. So far, man made global warming remains a theory because it has yet to be proved. There is no doubt that we have measured an increase in temperature but why is there an increase. The Earth has had cycles where it has been cold and then hot and man has had nothing to do with it. Mars is getting warmer and you can bet the farm that no life form is responsible for that.
The global warming zealots like to point to people who actually deal with the climate as the true authorities and they seem to only pass off those who agree with the issue. Those climate experts who disagree are shunned and castigated because of their views.
While Al Gore and his legions of doom are terrorizing the world with their global warming crusades a geophysicist in Australia says that we might want to rethink the whole warming idea. Phil Chapman states that the Earth cooled in 2007 and that the drop in temperature was the greatest putting our temperature back where it was in 1930. Chapman also states that there has been little to no sunspot activity and that this is the reason we have cooling temperatures. Consequently, increased sunspot activity would cause it to get warmer.
Chapman also discusses what would happen if temperatures continued to decrease and his description of 1.5 m thick ice covering continents for 10,000 years eliminating much of the life on Earth is not appealing at all.
The bleak truth is that, under normal conditions, most of North America and Europe are buried under about 1.5km of ice. This bitterly frigid climate is interrupted occasionally by brief warm interglacials, typically lasting less than 10,000 years.
The interglacial we have enjoyed throughout recorded human history, called the Holocene, began 11,000 years ago, so the ice is overdue. We also know that glaciation can occur quickly: the required decline in global temperature is about 12C and it can happen in 20 years.
The next descent into an ice age is inevitable but may not happen for another 1000 years. On the other hand, it must be noted that the cooling in 2007 was even faster than in typical glacial transitions. If it continued for 20 years, the temperature would be 14C cooler in 2027.
By then, most of the advanced nations would have ceased to exist, vanishing under the ice, and the rest of the world would be faced with a catastrophe beyond imagining. The Australian
Chapman admits that he does not know if this is a trend or a transient temperature drop but given the consequences it should be examined. However, just like global warming, while more study is needed, and it would be foolish to act upon unsubstantiated data, as if man could influence the climate anyway.
The climate debate will press on for some time to come with the global warming believers pushing “their” scientists forward and demanding that we follow in lockstep while they ignore the possibility of an ice age or at least global cooling. They will legislate climate friendly laws that force us to comply while bankrupting us. We will be forced to accept man made global warming as fact despite the lack of proof.
Those who want me to accept the doom and gloom of climate change are asking that I accept as fact a weather prediction for well into the future from people who cannot tell me, for a certain, if it will rain this weekend.
However, if I had my choice I would take a warming trend to an ice age, any day…
