What Can Be Done To Stop Obama?

Very few people know for sure what B. Hussein Obama will say tonight but all indications are that he will bypass Congress and take matters into his own hands with regard to immigration. There is no doubt that whatever he does will violate the Constitution because he does not have the authority to appropriate money or to change laws. But he will likely do just that and if the Republicans do not stop him in his tracks the next thing he will do is start enacting gun control via Executive action. If he gets away with immigration he will be emboldened.
The Republicans need to smack him down and they need to do it quickly and without mercy.
There are a number of things that can be done but most will have to wait (though they can begin working on them now) until the new Congress is sworn in and Republicans have control of both chambers. I already discussed impeachment and while the Senate will not get enough votes to convict the trial could be long and drawn out particularly if the articles of impeachment are broad and cover his entire term in office.
This entire process would consume his presidency and keep him in check. His misdeeds would be exposed and a few of his partners in crime might get taken down along the way.
However, that is not all that can be done. Obama is going to give millions of illegals a legal status and permission to work. Governors who are opposed to this need to take people who fall into this category into custody to decide if they are in the state legally. Perhaps instead of using immigration the states can charge them with trespassing. DC, on the other hand, is federal land so let them go there.
In addition, states can encourage businesses NOT to hire people with recently issued green cards** (from the date Obama enacts his illegal plan). Just do not hire them and pick a citizen instead.
The Congress can also structure the budget such that money to pay for Obama’s illegal actions will not be appropriated. This can be done so that even if he vetoes a bill the parts of government that need to continue functioning can do so. There are smart people in the Legislative Branch who can figure it out.
One last thing I think they should do. The Senate should tell Obama they will NOT confirm any of his appointees until all of the lawless acts are reversed. Obama will need an Attorney General to fight his legal battles and provide council. If the Senate refuses to confirm an AG Holder will have to stay (and he probably wants out badly before he ends up in jail) or Obama will go without. The Senate should make it clear there will be absolutely NO confirmations until Obama is compliant with the law.
If Democrats in the Senate balk or use procedure to get in the way the Republicans can change the rules so they can get what they want. Harry Reid set the precedent for that.
It is time for Republicans to play hardball. America did not deal a huge blow to Democrats a few weeks ago in order to work together. They did it to stop Obama and his agenda. Republicans need to get in front of this and tell the public what they are doing and why. They need good messaging and they need to be relentless.
I have my doubts that anyone in Republican leadership can do this and if that is the case then we need to hand them their asses in the next election. They need to know that they can be voted out as well.
Do your jobs and get in there and hammer Obama for his illegal acts.
Otherwise you might as well go home…
**UPDATE: The news reports these folks will be able to work but will not be issued Green Cards. I am sure employers can figure out who not to hire. Lack of jobs will send them back where they came from.

Surprise! Obama Is Out Of Touch

Barack Obama does two things very well. He campaigns and he vacations and he does both a lot. When he goes on his vacations we are told that he needs downtime and we are assured that he has a lot of technology that keeps him in control and in touch. It seems to me that in our world of technology there is no reason to doubt such a claim. In other words, the president can remain in touch with secure communications no matter where he is.
[note]As for needing downtime, does he really work hard enough to need a vacation? I guess 200 rounds of golf and endless fundraisers tend to take a toll on a body…[/note]
So if Obama is in touch with staff and has all the modern communication devices at his fingertips, why does he need to leave his vacation to return to DC to meet with staff? The Hill is reporting that Obama will return to DC from Martha’s Vineyard for what is described as a face to face with his staff.
Why does he need to have a face to face? He can communicate with them via the secure communications devices and save the taxpayer a lot of money. The cost for the roundtrip travel will exceed a MILLION dollars. If Obama must travel back then he is admitting he is out of touch with his staff. Seems appropriate given his lifestyle and ideology is out of touch with the rest of America
That seems like an awfully lot of money just to have a face to face with his staff particularly when he is able to communicate remotely.
Perhaps Reggie Love will be in DC and this is a million dollar booty call (another kind of face to face).
Or, perhaps Obama is going to announce some executive action on immigration or other issue. Since Congress is in recess now would be an opportune time for him to spring another rogue edict on the people. The Hill story states that Obama’s spokespeople say that they are not anticipating a major announcement but this is the Obama regime and it lies all the time. If it announced some executive action prior to his return to DC Congress would have time to react. If he just shows up for an alleged face to face he can make any announcement he wants and it will grow legs before Congress can react.
It is no secret that Obama intends to use executive action on immigration. He has not gotten his way from Congress and when that happens Obama uses his pen and his phone. The original timeline indicated he would take action after Labor Day but this is an election year and many Democrats facing tough reelection balked at the idea of doing this so close to the election. If he does it a few weeks early it will be old news by the time people start paying attention to campaigns which, by the way, is after Labor Day.
The low information voters will have forgotten all of this by the time they pig out on ribs and beer (no doubt paid for with EBT cards) and members of Congress will be caught flatfooted because they expected to take up the fight next month.
I suspect the face to face is a farce and there will be some major announcement. If that happens you can be sure it will be controversial.
Otherwise he would have waited.
This guy is lawless and he is imposing his will on the country contrary to the founding principles of this nation.
Of course all of this is speculation. For all I know he might just want to get away from that beast he is married to.
I imagine he is not the only one who would blow a million dollars to do so…

The Unspoken Message From Obama To Illegals

Some time ago when Obamacare was being debated and Obama was giving his State of the Union Joe Wilson blurted out “you lie” when Obama said Illegals would not be able to sign up for the health insurance. Wilson caught hell for the utterance but it turns out that he was right.
Considering all the other lies Obama has been caught in this should come as no surprise.
At a meeting with immigrants there was concern from the group that the information they provide when they sign up would be shared with immigration to effect deportation proceedings. Obama told them not to worry because the information will not be shared. Obama made sure to tell them that the law was written so that illegals are not eligible.
He further stated that those who are here legally should sign up and have no fear that anyone in their house who is here illegally would be discovered because of the information provided.
Why would the people be worried about the information being shared with immigration if they are here legally? If they sign up and check out there should be no worry about others in their house because those folks will not be listed so they can’t be checked out.
Or will they be listed?
Obama made it clear that the information provided would not be shared. Therefore anyone, illegal or not, can sign up and have no fear of being discovered.
So let me rephrase what Obama said to them.
The law says illegals can’t sign up (wink, wink) but we won’t be checking if you are illegal or not. So have no worry and go ahead and sign up your legal (wink, wink) family members.
Joe Wilson was right when he called Obama a liar because Obama lied.
If we will not check to see if those signing up are here legally then we are encouraging the illegals to go ahead and sign up.
Yes, illegals will be able to sign up for Obamacare because while the law says they can’t we all know Obama does not support any law (or parts thereof) he does not like.
He is an absolute liar and Joe Wilson stands vindicated.

Warner’s Immigration Reform; No Bieber

Senator Mark Warner, Democrat Virginia, is seeking reelection so jumping on board the get rid of Bieber bus is perfect for him. A majority of the voting public is disenchanted with Bieber and his antics so much so that a petition calling for his deportation generated more than enough votes to require review by the White House.
In an interview Warner was asked about the petition and his response was to ask if there was someplace he could sign.
Now Bieber is a douche and is spiraling out of control and I couldn’t care less if he is deported. He is dangerous and could end up hurting someone with his behavior. But he is here legally and he makes money and pays taxes. That does not mean he should not go but if he is here legally making money and paying taxes why should he be deported when so many ILLEGAL aliens are here?
Their mere presence is a violation of the law and Warner is pushing for comprehensive immigration reform which will involve allowing those who are here illegally to stay.
Why should we allow them to stay here and suckle at the teat of welfare and at the same time deport a person who is contributing to the Treasury?
Bieber probably needs to go home to Canada and work out whatever demons he has. But those who are here illegally should not get a pass just because their crimes have not been as public as Bieber’s.
If Warner wants to throw himself into the process of deporting people perhaps he should start by deporting those who are here illegally.

Border Security Will NOT Happen

The people in Congress talk a good game but it is all talk. Democrats claim that border security is important but then do everything to keep it from happening and Republicans pretend to be tough but care little about it. The overall goal, as it was in past illegal immigration debates, is to talk tough about security in order to grant amnesty. In the last two debates on the issue we were promised that once amnesty was granted the border would be secured and we would not need to worry about the issue again.
There will be no more illegals we were told.
And now there are upwards of 20 million who are, like those illegals before them, on a path to amnesty.
Senator Chuck Schumer of New York has made the bold claim that the bill the Senate is working on will solve the immigration problem and secure the border.
Let me translate. Solve the immigration problem does not mean solve the problem of them coming here illegally. We have seen that this is not the case based on the last two immigration reforms. What Schumer means is that it will solve the immigration problem for Democrats because now more immigrants will be on the dole and voting Democrat.
Schumer’s claim that the border will be secured is negated by his next statement. In the article he is quoted as saying that border security measures will be maintained. Then he goes on to say that the Gang of Eight will not compromise by conditioning the path to citizenship on factors that might not happen, as in border security.
You see, he says the border will be secured but then says there should be no condition for border security because once they make millions of lawbreakers legal they will not care about border security.
Why would they? How can rich Republicans get cheap labor to care for their lawns and build homes and how can Democrats get millions of new voters if they close the border? They need a pool of new laborers and voters from which to draw.
We have been promised that the border would be secure and that there would no longer be an illegal immigrant problem since they started granting amnesty in the 1960s. Each time millions of lawbreakers receive a free gift and their crimes are absolved as they bring in more and more family members and take jobs while the border remains wide open inviting millions more illegals who hide until the next amnesty.
It is all a sham. They have no intention of securing the border. They only want to pander to people who should not be here.
The border security issue should be a separate bill. Pass it and implement it while debating the immigration issue. This way the border gets secured and that security is not held hostage to the political posturing of both parties.
And while we are at it let’s make it a felony to be here illegally. Let’s make sure it is a felony to get caught crossing the border illegally AND a felony to be here illegally.
I am waiting for a border state to pass legislation that makes it a felony to be in the state illegally and thus bypass the federal government all together. Since the feds claim only they can enforce the immigration laws of the country the states should enforce immigration laws for their state. Pass legislation that says if you are in the state illegally (which means in the country illegally and then in the state) you are not allowed to stay. They should be arrested for illegal entry into the state and then deported to a sanctuary city. Funny how sanctuary cities are a clear violation of the law but the Obama Regime does not go after them.
That should tell you their intent…
In any event, whatever they come up with will screw citizens while rewarding illegals with welfare.
And pricks like Schumer will bask in the glow of new Democrat voters as more and more cross the border. In 10 years Schumer (if he is still alive) will be screaming about immigration reform and the need to do something and how we will never have to do it again.
It is the same song we have been hearing for decades.
