No Need For Independent Investigation
Jun 1, 2010 Political
A flotilla of ships containing humanitarian aid ignored an Israeli naval blockade that has been in place since 2007. The Israelis boarded the ships and their military members were attacked by people on the ships. The soldiers were using non lethal force but asked for and received permission to use deadly force. Nine people were killed in the confrontation. Many countries around the world have condemned Israel and called what they have done a crime. Barack Obama said the incident was a tragedy and should be fully investigated by an independent source.
The Israelis have investigated what happened and have stated that they were right in what they did and the lethal force was justified. This should be sufficient for Mr. Obama and he should rescind his call for an independent investigation. The Israeli military looked into its actions and that should be good enough.
After all, that was sufficient for Obama with regard to the possible bribe offered to Joe Sestak. The White House investigated what happened and said nothing improper happened.
End of story.
Never surrender, never submit.

If We’re Lucky, Their End Will Be Soon
Nov 29, 2009 Political
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited his pal Hugo Chavez and told Chavez that they would be together until the end. This came while they were taking turns bashing America and Israel.
As far as I am concerned, the end cannot come soon enough for these two along with Fidel Castro. All three of them should die horrific deaths and spend eternity in Hell.

We Can’t Impose Our Values, Just Our Will
Jun 2, 2009 Political
In a BBC interview, Barack Obama stated that the US cannot impose its values on other countries and cited this belief as one of the reasons it is important to shut down Guantanamo.
“The danger I think is when the United States or any country thinks that we can simply impose these values on another country with a different history and a different culture.” Breitbart
It is interesting that we cannot impose our values on other countries but it is perfectly OK, according to Obama, to impose our will as in the case of Israel. More on that shortly. Now I wholeheartedly agree with the idea that we cannot impose our values on other countries and I will go farther than Obama who stated that Democracy, rule of law, freedom of speech and religion are universal principles. Those are all subject to the interpretations of the countries involved. If Muslim countries do not want to tolerate another religion that is their business as long as they do not go around killing other people who do not believe what they do.
If they want to decide who can speak freely and who cannot, that is their business. However, when they start imposing their beliefs on America then I have a problem. They cannot come here and dictate the terms. They cannot come here and say what is allowed to be said and what is not. Unfortunately, our government has been complicit in fostering this attitude just as the British government has. The result there has been greater influence of Sharia Law and it will no doubt come here as long as we continue to ignore the intrusion.
I draw the line on what we can and cannot impose on others when their actions affect us. The attack on 9/11 required a response and that meant we needed to impose our will on the enemy. When adversaries engage each other each tries to impose his will on the other. This is just as true in a sporting event as it is in war.
It is amazing to me that Obama feels we cannot impose our values on other countries but that we can impose our will. Obama wants a two state solution for Israel and has been pressuring the Israelis to accept that idea even though they are not agreeable to it. The Israelis support self governance for the Palestinians but are not open to the two state solution.
The Obama administration has been pressuring Israel to accept this idea and has been using the threat of cutting military support to the country as the punishment for not acquiesing to the Won. The Obama people say that a two state solution will happen and are pressuring the Israelis to stop building in disputed territory but the Jews in Israel are not amenable to that. Haaretz has a piece up that basically calls on Obama to concern himself with other things. The piece discusses that instead of dismantling settlements Obama would do better to dismantle the Iranian nuclear program.
Israel seems to have its own fodder in the battle of coercion. The piece makes it clear that if Obama, described as the fly hovering above the elephant, continues to pressure Israel then Jerusalem will reassess its special relationship with Washington and might stop using its veto to end anti-American decisions in the United nations Security Council. That would certainly throw water on the Obama administration and make it harder for the sainted Won to manipulate things in the UN to the advantage of America. The piece is not necessarily against the two state solution or the dismantling of the disputed settlements, it merely outlines potential problems in defeating Obama on this initiative. In so doing, it demonstrates how complex the issue is.
I just want to know why we are free to impose our will on another country. Obama is right about imposing our values on others and I hope he has the same attitude on others imposing their values on us.
Values are one thing but telling a country how it has to run (in the absence of victory in war) is no more acceptable. Would we like it if the Israelis told us that we had to dismantle towns on the US Mexican border because having them there upsets the Mexicans? How would we like it if the Israelis said that the only way to fix our illegal immigrant problem is to make Mexico a state or to give amnesty (though liberals would rejoice)?
We should run our country and allow the Israelis to run theirs.

It Is Time For Exams
May 25, 2009 Political
During the last presidential campaign Joe Biden warned the country that Obama would be tested:
“It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.” Politico
It has not been quite 6 months but it looks like the child prodigy in the White House is getting tested all the same. Here are a few of the subjects on the table.
Israel
Netanyahu ignores Obama
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday rebuffed U.S. calls for a full settlement freeze in the occupied West Bank and vowed not to accept limits on building of Jewish enclaves within Jerusalem.
Netanyahu’s defiant stance set the stage for a possible showdown with U.S. President Barack Obama, who, in talks with the new Israeli prime minister in Washington last week, pressed for a halt to all settlement activity, including natural growth, as called for under a long-stalled peace “road map”.
“The demand for a total stop to building is not something that can be justified and I don’t think that anyone here at this table accepts it,” Netanyahu told his cabinet, referring to Jewish settlements in the West Bank, according to an official. al-Reuters
North Korea
Tests nuclear weapon and missiles
North Korea made its second test of a nuclear explosive on Monday and declared it was more destructive than the first, an advance that is likely to further embolden Kim Jong Il’s regime in its standoff with the U.S. and other countries pushing for it to halt its weapons program. WSJ

North Korea claimed it carried out a powerful underground nuclear test Monday — much larger than one conducted in 2006 — in a major provocation in the escalating international standoff over its rogue nuclear and missile programs. Newsmax
Obama says threat to national security
North Korea said it conducted its first nuclear test in three years and also launched three short- range missiles, acts President Barack Obama said constitute a “threat to international peace and security.” Bloomberg

Country warned it would resume nuclear tests after condemnation
North Korea, incensed by the condemnation of the April 5 rocket launch, had warned last month that it would restart its rogue nuclear program, conduct an atomic test and carry out long-range missile tests. My Way News

Not to be outdone by North Korea…
Iran rejects nuclear freeze proposal
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad rejected on Monday a “freeze-for-freeze” proposal put forward by the West in a bid to resolve a row over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear aims.
“Our talks (with major powers) will only be in the framework of cooperation for managing global issues and nothing else. We have clearly announced this,” he said when asked about the so-called “freeze-for-freeze” proposal.
“The nuclear issue is a finished issue for us,” Ahmadinejad told a news conference. al-Reuters
Sends warships to project power
Iran has sent six warships to international waters, including the Gulf of Aden, to show its ability to confront any foreign threats, its naval commander said on Monday. World Bulletin
It looks like Obama is now confronted with a number of “tests” that Joe Biden warned us about. Remember what Joe said, it will not look like they are doing the right thing (though I would argue that it has not looked like that since they took office).
North Korea has nukes, Iran either has them or will shortly and the ones that Pakistan has are in danger of falling into the wrong hands. North Korea needs money and there are a lot of bad people who would pay a great deal of money for nuclear devices that they could use against the United States. Iran will probably send its nuclear weapon to a surrogate for use on Israel. This is happening before our eyes because, as I said before, Obama took his eye off the ball. Obama has been busy warning, no threatening, Israel to keep it from attacking Iran’s nuclear sites. I wonder if he will get the same response as with his last request…
He failed to pay attention to the rogue states, the Axis of Evil, if you will. He believed that Bush’s methods were wrong and that if he sat around holding hands and singing songs with the leaders of these nations that they would be enchanted with Obama’s smile and the hypnotic charm of hope and change would take effect.
He believed an unclenched fist would demonstrate friendship but those who would do us harm saw it as weakness.
Unfortunately, in the real world where the big boys play this is not a real way to deal with things. But Obama is now at the point where he is getting tested.
The Jews told him screw you.
The North Koreans told him screw you.
The Iranians said screw you.
Two of those three pose a serious threat to the US and the world.
I wonder if Obama will address the situation with those “dangerous” Jews first…
Test time Obama. You don’t need sharpened Number 2 pencils because they will not help. Joe Biden told me it would not look like you were doing the right thing.
That is probably one of the few things he has been correct about.

American Jews Voted Against Israel’s Interests
Apr 21, 2009 Opinion, Political
The Jerusalem Post is reporting that National Union chairman Ya’acov “Ketzele” Katz sent a letter to Rahm Emanuel telling him not to forget his Jewish roots. This comes after Emanuel had an exchange with an unidentified American Jewish leader in which:
Katz claims that in a private meeting with the unnamed leader, Emanuel said, “In the next four years, there will be a peace agreement with the Palestinians on the basis of two states for two peoples, and it does not matter to us who is the prime minister.”
Isn’t that just wonderful? Who is the United States to tell Israel there will be a two state solution when Israel opposes that? The United States has no right to tell another country what they will and will not do. However, this administration is anti Semitic and does not have Israel’s best interests at heart.
Obama pals around bowing to Kings and rubbing elbows with Muslims while ignoring Israel and his Chief of Staff is right there with him.
Katz should not be surprised that an American Jew like Emanuel would turn his back on Israel. Many American Jews have done the exact same thing. It was well known that Obama was no friend of Israel and he indicated that things would be done differently should he happen to win. It should have been blindingly obvious by the company Obama kept (and still keeps) that he was anti Semitic. He is friends with Louis Farrakhan as is his former Pastor Jeremiah Wright and both preach hatred. Farrakhan definitely hates the Jews and blames all the world’s ills on them. Obama has people working for him who are not in favor of doing anything to help Israel. The writing was on the wall during the campaign.
And yet, American Jews voted in huge numbers for Obama. The Jews in Israel did not want him to win but those who live here, by and large, voted for him which means they voted against Israel. Not all Jews voted for Obama but I know many who did and the statistics show they went for Obama in huge numbers.
So why would Katz think any differently about Emanuel? Why would he believe that reminding Emanuel of his Jewish roots would make a difference? The people in Obama’s administration are anti Israel and into appeasing the Muslim thugs who want to wipe that country off the map.
I guess he only meets unconditionally with our enemies.
Think Obama cares about Israel?
Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs is reporting:
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday canceled his plans to attend the upcoming AIPAC summit, after it became clear that US President Barack Obama would not meet him during the conference. [originally reported in the Jerusalem Post]
Obama was busy last week shaking hands and playing kissy face with Hugo Chavez whose government has been accused of anti-Semitism. The way Chavez pals around with Iran and other Middle Eastern countries should cause concern for all Venezuelan Jews.
Looking past that one has to ask why was Obama able to make nice with the thugs in South America but can’t make time for Netanyahu? Why can Obama go on his apologize for America tour in Europe but not meet with Netanyahu? Why is it he can bow down to Middle Eastern kings and hob nob with Muslim leaders but he cannot meet with Netanyahu?
Israel has always been a good friend to the United States and she remained our friend while Bill Clinton was whizzing all over them and telling them it was raining. Israel has always counted on US reciprocation of that friendship.
Unfortunately, they are not seeing that with the Obama administration.
