Maxine Waters Gets To Eat Her Words
Aug 3, 2010 Political
There is a saying about people who live in glass houses not throwing stones. It took over a decade but Maxine Waters has broken her glass house with the stone she threw at Newt Gingrich. When Newt was charged with violating House Ethics rules Waters had a field day going after him. Oh yes, she was pretty upset and told us all that it took a while but now we would find out who Gingrich is.
NO, WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN.
WE THOUGHT YOU HAD.
BUT FINALLY AFTER THE FILING OF MANY COMPLAINTS AGAINST SPEAKER NEWT GINGRICH AND 14 MONTHS LATER, THE HOUSE ETHICS COMMITTEE FOUND THE SPEAKER GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY ON ONE, TWO, THREE COUNTS OF VIOLENTING HOUSE RULES BY MISUSE — VIOLATING HOUSE RULES BY MISUSING COMMITTEE RESOURCES AND WE’VE APPOINTED AN OUTSIDE COUNSEL TO INVESTIGATE ANOTHER SERIOUS CHARGE ABOUT THE SPEAKER’S POLITICAL GOPAC OPERATION.
WELL, IT’S ABOUT TIME.
BELIEVE ME, THE AMERICAN PUBLIC DOES NOT APPRECIATE DOUBLE STANDARDS.
WHAT’S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER.
NO ONE SHOULD BE SO BIG, SO IMPORTANT, SO POWERFUL THEY CAN VIOLATE THE RULES OF THIS HOUSE AND THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY WITHOUT SUFFERING THE CONSEQUENCES.
NEWT MAY BE SPEAKER.
HOWEVER, HE, TOO, MUST ACCOUNT FOR ANY AND ALL WRONGDOING.
IT’S ABOUT TIME.
LET’S GET ON WITH THE BUSINESS OF FINDING OUT WHO NEWT GINGRICH REALLY IS. CSPAN
Well, well, well. It seems that now Maxine has ethics problems of her own. She claims she is innocent and did nothing wrong but it is obvious that she had a conflict of interest and was involved in helping a bank in which her husband was invested. She did something wrong and charges have been brought against her.
Let me put this in words she will understand:
BELIEVE ME, THE AMERICAN PUBLIC DOES NOT APPRECIATE DOUBLE STANDARDS.
WHAT’S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER.
NO ONE SHOULD BE SO BIG, SO IMPORTANT, SO POWERFUL THEY CAN VIOLATE THE RULES OF THIS HOUSE AND THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY WITHOUT SUFFERING THE CONSEQUENCES.
America also does not appreciate Socialism and this Congresswoman is all about Socialism. So let’s do the country a favor this fall and vote this scumbag out of office. Let us hold her to the standard she expected Gingrich to be held to. She needs to go.
But not until we have a messy trial. I would love to see this babbling moron trying to explain herself.
Cave Canem!

Sestak Obligated To Report The Details Of Crime
May 23, 2010 Political
Joe Sestak won the Democrat primary in Pennsylvania beating Arlen Specter for a seat in the US Senate. This was a very sweet victory because Specter switched parties and the only reason he switched was so he could win reelection. When he discussed changing parties he had a promise from Obama that he would get his full support int he campaign.
Obama made one appearance and then was AWOL (though maybe Specter asked him not to come again) but one thing that Obama did do was try to buy off Sestak. According to Joe Sestak, someone in the regime offered him a position in the government (speculation is it was Secretary of the Navy) if he would drop out of the race. This would give Specter the primary win but he would have lost to his Republican challenger in November.
In any event, the offer to Sestak, a job to leave the race, appears to be a violation of federal election laws.
This subject was brought up again Meet the Press and Sesatk confirmed that the incident happened but refused to go any deeper. He said that he has said it happened and that if there is any further disclosure about it then it should come from others (those involved).
It seems to me that if someone made him an offer that was a possible violation of the law then he is obligated to report the violation and give the details. He does not have to do it in the press but he needs to report ALL that he knows to law enforcement (and perhaps he has).
If he thinks the others who are involved are obligated to report their potential misdeeds then he is misguided. People are not obligated to incriminate themselves. It is up to Sestak, in this case, to disclose who made the offer and any other details so that it can be investigated.
If he wants to gain the trust of the people this is a poor way to go about it.
Sestak will likely lose in November so maybe he is waiting until then to be sure before he talks…

Fighting Back
May 20, 2010 Political
The new immigration law in Arizona has the panties of liberals tied up in knots and they spare nothing to tell us how evil the law is and how it might lead to racial profiling. Ignoring the fact that Hispanic (the group most concerned) is not a race, why is a law bad because it might lead to an undesired consequence? All laws COULD have consequences we do not like but we handle them as they occur. If a police officer profiles a person illegally then the officer should suffer the consequences. We cannot ignore the people actually breaking the law because those who enforce the law might also break the law. How about we give the benefit of the doubt to the people who are enforcing the law instead of those breaking it?
The most disturbing thing about this is that many of the people in Obama’s regime who have spoken against the law have not read it.
The president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, is not happy with the law because it cracks down on the people he sends here and he views this as bad, as if he has a say in the matter.
Obama showed solidarity with his guest of honor, Mexican President Felipe Calderon, who called Arizona’s law discriminatory and warned Mexico would reject any effort to “criminalize migration.” The United States and Mexico share a significant economic and political relationship that stands to be damaged the more the nations are at odds over immigration, which affects millions of people on both sides of the border. My Way News
This guy is doing the same thing that all the proponents of the invasion of illegals do and that is refer to illegals entering this country as migration or immigration. It is neither of these, it is ILLEGAL entry into our country. It is that simple.
Calderon is right when he says this affects millions on both sides of the border. However, he gives the impression that Americans are somehow affected when they sneak into Mexico. We know that millions of Americans are not illegally entering Mexico. Millions of Mexicans are however, coming here. He is right because the law will affect millions of illegal aliens by getting rid of them and it will affect millions of Americans because they will not be bothered by all the crime and the drain on our economy. Calderon wants his Mexican amigos to come here because they send billions of dollars back to his country. He does not care if the people sending the money are in America illegally as long as they continue to send money to Mexico.
Besides, who is Calderon to oppose this law and why do we care if he opposes it? He needs to go back to Mexico and clean up that craphole he has for a country and mind is own business. He has NO say so, to put it politely, shut up.
Some cities in America are boycotting Arizona because they would rather side with lawbreakers than with a sovereign state. I think there will be serous fallout from this because there are many more Americans who oppose illegal entry and who will begin to boycott companies based in cities that boycott Arizona. Those cities had better understand that the illegals will not be the ones keeping companies afloat.
Arizona is fighting back in its own way. The city of Los Angeles voted to end some contracts with Arizona. The contracts total about 7 million dollars which might hurt the state a little but Arizona might decide to end a contract of its own. Arizona power companies supply LA with about 25% of its electricity. There is a threat to end that contract and cut power to LA. This would be devastating to LA because it consumes a great deal of power and would likely suffer blackouts.
Good for Arizona. Next thing Arizona should do is end the contracts it has for holding California criminals in Arizona jails. Then the state could place those criminals in buses and ship them back to California. I recommend dropping them off in LA.
While they are at it, perhaps police in Arizona should place pamphlets (written in Spanish) in all places where illegals would likely do business. The pamphlets would inform them of the cities in California that are sanctuary cities and give them directions on how to get to each of them.
It is time for Arizona to fight back and that means it is time for those of us fed up with illegal aliens to fight alongside them.
Never surrender, never submit.

Mexico Issues Arizona Travel Alert
Apr 28, 2010 Political
The new law in Arizona is already having a good effect in that Mexico has issued a travel alert to its citizens warning them about travel to Arizona without proper documentation. In other words, they are being warned not to get caught there illegally. Part of the message to Mexicans is:
“There is an adverse political environment for migrant communities and all Mexican visitors,” Mexico’s ministry said. “It’s important to act carefully and respect the local laws.” Bloomberg
Notice how the Mexican government thinks it is important to respect the laws in order not to get caught but has no such feeling about respecting the law that involves coming here illegally? Mexico has helped its people sneak across the border. That government has encouraged people to sneak in and printed books to assist them in doing so. The government there was not too concerned about respecting the law then.
Now that Arizona has finally clamped down on illegal immigration the government of Mexico wants its people to respect the law but only to avoid getting caught.
There are a lot of people upset about this law but it is a good one and it is written so as to prevent people from being profiled. The people who are upset are those who broke the law and are here illegally and those who believe in open borders and want to assist those who break the law.
About 70% of the legal residents in Arizona think the law is good and that matters more than what those who are here illegally think and it certainly matters more than what those who are assisting those who are here illegally think.
The Obama administration is looking into legal action against Arizona with regard to this law. Good luck with that.
The same people who will require us all to prove we have health insurance are loathe to require people to prove they are here legally.
And that about says it all with regard to the ineptitude of our government.

Not Your Mama’s Pirates
Apr 17, 2009 Political
Easter Sunday was a good day, with something happening that I didn’t think possible- a Democrat grew a spine. This is a day of miracles. Will it last? Only time will tell.
The Maersk Alabama, a cargo ship bound for Kenya, with relief supplies and food for Somalia, Uganda and Rawanda, was seized by pirates, and we don’t mean the Johnny Depp version of “pirates”, but the real thing, complete with rocket launchers and automatic rifles. Now, mind you, this was still almost laughable, as they pull up in little fishing boats, and take the ship hostage after they have boarded, and captured the crew. These pirates are malnourished, drug addled, and desperate to do something, but that something is piracy, and that’s not a good thing for law abiding seafarers. Normally, these pirates hold the ship and the crew for ransom, which has generally been paid by the ships’ insurers.
But on this occasion, the Captain told the crew to lock itself in a hold, whereupon he offered himself in the place of the crew.
Some details are still unclear at this time, but the pirates and the captain used one of the ships lifeboats, possibly because it had a roof cover against detection and rough weather.
For five days the pirates negotiated for a ransom, while the U.S. Navy hovered nearby. On Easter Sunday, the situation came to a head when the U.S. Navy Seals aboard the U.S.S. Bainbridge noticed that the captain was being threatened, they shot all three pirates with headshots, ending the negotiations, and the situation was resolved in the way it should be.
Still, I have to wonder at the repercussions, because the pirates will cry that this action was “unlawful”, the fringe lefties will say we should have given the pirates a time out, and therapy. and the O’bama administration will be getting unnecessary kudos, all for doing the right thing. Why do some people celebrate doing the right thing as if it were a really hard thing to choose to do.We are not potty training here, but enforcing the Law of the Sea. The ethics are fairly plain and simple- pirates hijack cargo and crew, you kill the pirates. It seems simple to me- and while we’re on a roll, we really should take out every pirate we can find. Go to their lairs, sink the motherships, kill them where ever you find them. This worked in the early 1800s, it will work now.
History repeats itself, just with deadlier weapons, but the response must be the same- you fight evil where it exists, and give no quarter in pursuit.
George Bush did have one thing right- if nations harbor terrorists of any kind, they should be hunted there, and that nation either is part of the problem, or part of the solution- make a choice.
Now, I know that Somalia conjures up images of the last time we went there, but you don’t let one miscue cost you your self- respect- no, you dust yourself off, and continue the good fight.
There will be some that say, we need a coalition of the willing (oh God, I am soooo tired of that slogan)- just say allies, for God’s sake. That would be nice, but it’s been so long since we had allies we could count on more than one hand, that it is almost easier to go it alone. You really don’t need a coalition to do the right thing.
After all, even with allies, people will despise us- that’s just the way the world seems to work nowadays. You might think we would be used to it by now, but some of us can’t handle overseas ridicule. That’s fine with me- it all looks like Monty Python sketches when I see European Leaders gathering in a room, but I do tend to a rather skewed view of human behavior, one that sees the ridiculous in the European Theater. It’s unfortunate, but I feel that the ridiculous is the reality.
We need the serious nations, nations that say, “Enough!” Nations that mean what they say.
Now that we have had this watershed moment, will we grow a pair, and go after these seagoing terrorists, or will this effort fizzle like Clinton’s rockets into Afghanistan? This will be a seminal moment for O’bama. His decision will reflect on how he will be viewed by the people here, because the pirate angle will be an extension of how he will be viewed about the drug trade, immigration, and other problems he;s going to have to face, and it all builds on the previous action, like a sand castle.
O’bama needs to unleash Seal Team Six, Delta Force, and anything else that is needed. It would be great if the French and the Germans joined as well as the SAS from Britain, sort of an international SWAT team for terrorism. Gee, does that sound too logical? Just set them free, and let them do what they are trained to do- it really could be this simple, if only you do not treat these pirates as criminals, but as terrorists- no prisoners accepted.
Most liberals won’t accept that- they believe in time- outs, and diplomacy, but there are times when these things will not work. Some people are just evil, and the only thing society can do is rid itself of this cancer. This is what we would do with cancer in our own bodies, isn’t it? We would not allow it to hang around, see if the cancer rehabilitated itself, and grew into a normal part of your body, would we? If you would, you deserve the cancer, but in society, we cannot afford to take that chance.
Now is not the time to try any touchy- feelie type of treatment regarding these terrorists. If you kill them, and kill enough of them, and make that the ONLY punishment for attacking United States- flagged vessels, they will get the message. Perhaps other nations will see this, and emulate us. If not, well, these will not be our vessels, if they want to pay ransom instead of paying for ammo, that will be their decision.
