Obama Makes Appeal For His Stimulus Plan

Barack Obama used his weekly radio address to push his stimulus plan. Obama and the Democrats are pushing to spend nearly a TRILLION dollars, very little of which will stimulate the economy. The bill is laden with payoffs to special interest groups that supported Democrats in November.

Obama and his minions are spending money we don’t have, money that will be repaid by taxpayers, on paying back those who supported him. They are pushing for this to go through at a record pace. It seems reckless to spend this much money this quickly. Perhaps the Democrats believe that the money Bush infused in the last part of last year will start to hit the streets and ease things around mid year. They need to have their plan passed and signed so it looks like Obama and the Democrats fixed things. If there is any recovery this Summer, regardless of the Obama bill, it will be because of what was done last year. Not even the messiah Obama can make things work that quickly. He just wants it to appear that way for the morons who vote for him…

Unfortunately, three weak kneed Republicans in the Senate have crossed over to the dark side and might provide the votes needed to get the bill passed. They say they have negotiated to reduce some of the unnecessary spending but since the bill is 7 billion dollars more than the one received from the House, they obviously don’t understand the meaning of the word CUT. Besides, any items removed will be added back in next week when they work on the compromise. Three Republicans will take their 30 pieces of silver and slither back into the fold while the bill they helped pass destroys America.

Remember Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe and Arlen Spector when it comes time to vote again. None of these jackasses should be reelected. In addition, any other Republican or Blue Dog Democrat who supports the bill should be shown the door. The three appeasers were called patriots by Obama. That means he believes that those who do not support it are not patriots. Remember when dissent was patriotic (the Democrats reminded us of this)? That was before we got this half baked dope addict in the White House. Now patriotism is when you do what he wants, when he wants.

The opposition has been good so far but there is only so much that can be done because the Democrats are in the majority. They believe that their victory was a mandate to do this and they are trying to spend even more of the money from future generations. Funny, when Bush was elected and then reelected they did not see his election as a mandate for anything he wanted and they opposed him every step of the way. Now we get to be the opposition and I don’t really care if it gives the liberals heartburn or not.

Obama, the guy who was going to end the partisan ways of DC and bring hope and change has done no such thing and he is working on changing government to ensure Democrats continue to win. He has moved the Census from Commerce and put it under the White House (Rahm Emanuel). This will make the apportioning of Congressional seats a partisan effort and ensure that Democratic states get more electoral votes. Obama is working to undo this country and turn it into a third world mecca that his overseas family would be proud to live in.

As for his approach, he reminded Republicans for the third time that his side won:

Still, the popular president – six in 10 voters approve of his performance so far – scolded Republicans with a pointed reminder that Democrats, not Republicans, were victorious in November. My Way News

Obama has not figured this out yet but we don’t care if they won. We will not roll over and let him and his thugs have their way with us. We don’t have to bow down to them or what they want. We have the right and the obligation to oppose the things that they do with which we do not agree. If Obama does not like that then he can take an aeronautical intercourse at a revolving pastry. He can take his Demotwits along with him.

When Obama was in the Senate he did not vote for things President Bush wanted. He opposed many things and he voted straight party line. Never did he get in front of the Senate and tell his colleagues that the Republicans won so they [the Democrats] should go along with them. Now he thinks that because he was elected that everything should change and people should fall in line.

To hell with that. 46% of the people who voted DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM. A greater portion of the population did not vote for him because a lot of people did not vote. There is no overwhelming consensus that we all need to hold hands and get along.

I do not believe we should be engaged in anything bipartisan if it will be harmful to the country. This stimulus will be harmful and a great deal of Republicans oppose it. Any Republican in Congress who supports it will be going against the wishes of the majority of the party. They should do so at their own risk.

Doug Ross has a post up asking you to contact the GOP and let them know how you feel. I agree, they need to know what will happen if this bill passes. I will not be donating anything to them as long as this Obamination is looming and if they send any money to the three idiots who crossed over then they can take me off the mailing list. As they say, money talks…

As for Obama, you don’t need a lot of Republican support for this. It passed in the House without one Republican vote and a couple in the Senate will give you what you want. I know you would like more Republican votes to give you cover for when this fails but you are not going to get it. You are on your own and this belongs totally to you. WHEN it fails you will be the one responsible and your legacy will make Jimmy Carter look like he was actually worth something.

Quit bullying people with the I won BS and start acting like a leader.

Oh, that’s right. You have never led before so this is on the job training for you.

And to be clear, I hope you fail as well. I do not want you to succeed in turning us into a Socialist country.

The Story Change We Can Believe In

This is our time, this is the our moment, change is on the way. And with words like these Barack Obama rode a wave of excitement all the way to an election victory marking the first time a black person has won that office and demonstrating that the Constitution means little to him.

Barack Obama’s change we need seems to be everything but what he promised people. The change they thought they were getting is a change of politics as usual in DC but it turns out that Obama is more of the same. He has selected a bunch of retreads from the Clinton years and he has backtracked on a number of his promises. The moonbats are very upset with him because he is now saying different things than he did when he wanted votes.

It also seems that the change he meant was that his people would change their stories in order to keep him from being further linked to bad things like the corruption that Illinois, particularly Chicago, is famous for. Twenty percent of the governors from that state have been indicted or convicted and the current criminal chief executive is no different. Governor Rod Blagojevich was arrested yesterday after FBI agents used a LEGAL wiretap to intercept his calls. Seems the Governor was holding an auction for the Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama. The governor made it clear that Obama has sex with mothers and that the seat was open to the highest bidder. Blagojevich made it clear that he wanted money.

One of the candidates for the seat was a person Obama wanted to get it but the governor was not happy about that stating that Obama would only give him some appreciation instead of a position in his administration. One would have to believe that Obama had spoken with the governor about his [Obama’s] preference and since the governor knew Obama was only offering praise it only makes sense to conclude that it must have been discussed. In other words, how did Blagojevich know he would only get gratitude if he had not discussed it?

But hold on now. There is no way that we are going to tie Obama to any of this. As a matter of fact, Obama said he had not spoken with the Governor and that he was not involved in any of it.

The problem is, a few weeks ago David Axelrod, Obama’s senior adviser, told Fox News Chicago that Barry had spoken with the governor:

While insisting that the President-elect had not expressed a favorite to replace him, and his inclination was to avoid being a “kingmaker,” Axelrod said, “I know he’s talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them.” [emphasis mine]

As is usual, the Obama team came out and denied this. They say that Axelrod merely misspoke when he was on Fox. Axlerod himself confirmed this. Yes, since it disputes what The One has said then it must have been a misstatement.

The problem is, Axlerod said I KNOW he’s talked to him. He did not say I think he did, or he might have, or I am unsure, he said I KNOW. How can this be a misstatement? If he said that Obama had spoken with him and then it turns out that he did not then he could have misspoken but in this case he said he knew it.

I believe that he did know it because nothing that Obama does happens without Axelrod knowing. This is exactly how he KNEW it. But, the story has to change because if it does not then Obama is a liar and we can’t have that when it comes to the Messiah. Obama, as is his pattern, threw Axelrod under the bus. Axelrod had to fall on his sword to ensure Obama was not caught in a lie.

When he said that he would bring change to Washington he meant that they would change their stories to whatever is convenient. Instead of change we can believe in we have changed stories that are hard to believe.

Obama spoke with disgraced governor Rod Blagojevich about this issue but The Sainted One is trying to distance himself from the controversy and he did that with a lie. Obama backed Blagojevich each time he ran for office and had good things to say about him. Turns out that he was not such a great guy after all. When will we hear; “Rod Blagojevich is not the governor I knew”? Hey you, get under the bus.

What did Barack Obama know and when did he know it? The governor already said that Obama would not pay to play so that means Obama knew about the game Blagojevich was playing. Why did Obama not go to the authorities? Of course it is because it is Illinois and this is how politics is done there so for Obama it was business as usual.

The guy is not even really the president elect yet. He has won the election but the Electors do not meet until the 15th to cast their votes. At that time he will be the PE. No, he is nothing yet and already we have scandals coming out that involve him even if it is in some tangential fashion. At the least it is a distraction and at the most it demonstrates the climate from which he came (and will undoubtedly take to the White House).

I wonder, at what point in his term will he surpass the number of scandals Clinton had? I also wonder if Axelrod feels stung by having to call himself a liar. If you are working for The One you had better get used to it because everyone else goes down before Obama.

Axelrod demonstrated that we can never trust his words again and he showed us that Obama is a liar who will cover his tracks at the expense of others.

As a challenge, someone find where anyone mentions that the governor is a DEMOCRAT…

As an aside, today is the day all the gays are calling out of work to protest the success of Proposition 8. They call it “A day without a gay.” To me that sounds great. We should have those everyday…

Debt to Clinton was Paid Long Ago

A number of people who were huge supporters of the Clintons have recently signed on to the Obama train and are casting their long time friends, Bill and Hillary, aside. This is particularly distressing to the Clintons because they both believe that they are owd by just about every Democrat. Admittedly, there are quite a number of Obama supporters who received appointments to very high paying and high profile government jobs and there are quite a few Democrats who owe Hillary for campaigning for them and helping them win.

Bill Clinton is particularly upset about those who worked in his administration and now support Obama. He was furious with Bill Richardson and as a result their friendship is strained. Surrogates of the Clintons have called people names and have questioned the loyalty of people that received a lot from Bill Clinton when he was president. Bill believes that people owe him but someone should explain to Bill Clinton that he received all that he was owed by any Democrat when they committed malfeasance in office and failed to vote for impeachment. Bill Clinton was paid in full by every Democrats who supported him during the impeachment process. Bill Clinton should have been removed from office. He lied under oath and charges were brought against him. Democrats paid him big time by opposing impeachment. Some Democrats said the charges did not warrant impeachment. Some of these people were in favor of impeaching Nixon and his charges nearly matched Clinton’s word for word.

As for Hillary, sure she has campaigned for people but she has made some of those folks mad along the way. She has piled on Democrats who have made mistakes if piling on made her look good. She piled on John Kerry when he insulted the troops. Hillary was right to pile on because Kerry actually insulted the troops despite what he said about it. However, he was upset she did not back him. She could have just kept silent on the matter but the Clintons are unable to keep quiet. They have to jump in and take the focus group position in order to look “good.”

It is interesting though to see how people have turned on the Clintons. They were once the darlings of the Democratic party. Democrats overlooked all kinds of criminal activity and defended the Clintons every time they were accused. The media ignored major stories in order to help them out (Drudge broke the Monica story that the MSM was sitting on) and they were usually treated as if they were pure as the driven snow. Now they are being beaten up by people who once loved them unconditionally. Amazingly, there are many former Clinton supporters who are now upset with them because they have been dishonest, negative, harsh, demanding, and unrelenting. These are the same people who ignored this kind of behavior from the Clintons for years and who would still be ignoring it if it were not for a charismatic empty suit named Obama.

Loyalty in DC only goes as far as the next election and politicians will disregard friendship if they think backing someone else will help them in any way, shape, or form. As far as Bill Clinton goes, he was paid quite handsomely long, long ago.

It will be interesting to see how much support Democrats get from the Clintons after this election. In a perfect world the Clintons would just fade away but in reality they could still have some value for people who need help getting reelected.

Daily Kos Kids are Wrong Again

I wrote recently about the suggestion at the Daily Kos for voters in Michigan to vote for Romney to keep him in the race and make the republicans fight it out. I indicated at the time that Michigan had a screwed up system where they allow people to vote for whomever they want. John Bambenek filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General and the Kos kids are having a field day with it. I really don’t care who the people in Michigan vote for and if they need a loser like Kos to tell them how to vote then they are worse off than can be imagined. A recent post, however, has a blatant error in it. Kagro X goes on and on about Bambenek’s complaint and he writes this:

Special Note #1 for the media: This case should tell you in no uncertain terms that when wingnuts cry to you about voter fraud — and let’s be honest, they’re constantly crying about it — they have not a clue in the world what they’re talking about, and they should be given no more attention than if they’d told you they’ve got video of Elvis descending from a UFO to cast a stretchy, sequined ballot.

Do not forget this. There’s nothing the Republicans whine about more annoyingly or more frequently these days than “voter fraud.” And here they are, once again, demonstrating embarrassingly for all to see, that all they can really hope for is for the media not to ask any questions when they slap that oh-so-scary-sounding label on… well, whatever the hell they happen to have at hand.

Do not believe Republican crocodile tears about voter fraud. They don’t know what it is. Daily Kos

I think Kagro took too many hits from the ceremonial bong to write such BS. It is almost always the Democrats who cry about voter fraud. The only time the say that all went well is when they win. In Florida in 2000 it was all the Democrats who cried about purged voter rolls, intimidation and disenfranchisement (a word most of them did not know until then) and it was they, along with Michael Moore who vowed not to let the same fraud happen in 2004. Moore provided video cameras and a hot line so people could video tape incidents of fraud and telephone in their concerns. Moore did not want the republicans to engage in the perceived fraud of 2000.

It was the Democrats who committed voter fraud that allowed JFK to win in 1960, screwed Ellen Sauerbrey out of the Governor’s seat in Maryland and it was Democratic voter fraud that discovered and counted ballots in Washington state to give a Democrat the win. These are the same Democrats who cried about Diebold machines and how evil Republicans were tapping into them and making votes change. It was Democrats who stated that they voted for one guy and the screen registered for another. It was Democrats who were too stupid to use a butterfly ballot and then claimed that they had been cheated.

It is always a Democrat who cries about voter fraud unless the Democrats win. Has anyone paid attention? In 2000 we had all the so called fraud in Florida and then in 2004 there was all the so called fraud in Ohio. Fraud claims that turned out to be unsubstantiated but were filed by DEMOCRATS. In 2006 the Democrats won and regained control of both chambers of the Congress. None of them said there was any voter fraud (or complained about Diebold machines) because they got the outcome they wanted. You can bet that if they had not won they would be crying like Kos in a room full of real men that they had been the victims of fraud.

This is the problem with Democrats. They assume that if they fail to win there had to be fraud because everyone, according to them, loves their message. The only explanation they have for loss is voter fraud because to believe anything else would shoot down their perceived importance and worth. The fact is, when voters reject the Democrats fraud is not involved.

I am not saying that fraud does not exist and I am sure that it happens in both parties. What I am saying is that the idea that Republicans always cry about fraud is contrary to the facts. Democrats try to project their inadequacies on the Republican Party as if saying it enough will make it true. Kagro and Kos and all the rest can complain about Bambenek and his complaint and they can present their case but to spout off blatant lies is beyond the pale especially in the face of contrary evidence.

Leave it to moonbats to distort the truth. No wonder they love Bill Clinton.

UPDATE: If you go to Kos and read the comments you will see a number of libtards crying about stolen elections. I rest my case.

Dems Knew About Waterboarding in 2002

Members of the Democratic Party including now House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were well aware of the technique of waterboarding and expressed no complaints about it when briefed and shown the technique. In late 2002 certain members in leadership were given virtual demonstrations and none expressed any concerns and in fact, several wanted to know if we were pressing hard enough.

That was then and this is now with Democrats saying that waterboarding is torture and demonstrates how evil the Bush administration is. Many of the members (from both parties) who were present during the briefings now claim they do not remember being told about the process or that their recollection, in general, is vague. That is a very convenient dodge to cover up their approval of the technique. Before anyone says that they did not approve keep in mind that failure to express and objection to the procedure is approval by omission.

The recent uproar involves the destruction of video showing certain CIA operatives using various techniques. Some in Congress (Democrats) are calling this a cover up and that it shows that the CIA knows it was breaking the law. The tapes were from 2002 and waterboarding had not been eliminated as a method that may be used. The whole debate on torture and the limits came much later so it is unlikely that the CIA was worried about guilt for something that was not illegal at the time. It is more realistic that they were protecting identities, just as they claim (maybe Valerie Plame was in the videos). In order for the tapes to show guilt any law forbidding waterboarding would have to be made retroactive and I cannot see that happening. I find it amazing that Ted Kennedy would chime in saying one can only conclude there is a cover up given his history of covering up the murder he committed. I also think it is interesting that the same Democrats who are screaming that no one is above the law were dead set against Bill Clinton being impeached for breaking the law. I guess no one is above the law unless it is a Democrat who broke it.

The article about this indicates that waterboarding was used on our troops in the past to show them what to expect if captured by the Soviets. The article gives the impression that we do not do this any longer. Our troops get waterboarded in training and it is training authorized and funded by the Congress. The same people who are crying about a terrorist getting wet are authorizing this technique to be used on our troops. It is authorized by those who have seen it and now cannot recollect what they saw or said. I propose we waterboard those members of Congress to help them remember what they saw and what their positions were.

Hmm, concern for the enemy but not for our soldiers. That is a trademark of the left.
