You’d Have To Be Stoned To Vote Democrat

Paul Bedard writes an article for the Washington Examiner where he indicates that if Democrats want to retain control of the Senate or limit losses the party should push marijuana legalization initiatives in November.
The reasoning is that if these initiatives are on the ballots the young (read pot smoking) Democrat voters will be compelled to vote and while they are voting for marijuana they will also vote for Democrats on the ballot.
This is probably true. The young want marijuana legalized and they would turn out to vote if it were on the ballot (assuming they were not too high to remember to vote) but can Democrats get these initiatives on the ballots by November?
And more importantly wouldn’t they, as Bedard points out, be more likely to hold off until 2016 to help keep a Democrat in the White House and pick up Democrat seats in Congress?
I am not a marijuana user, never have been and do not intend to start now. I think it could be legal and taxed and that it is probably no more dangerous than alcohol (and no, please do not tell me it is safer because it is not) but we need a lot of things in place. How do you determine driving under the influence of marijuana (other than people driving at 4 miles an hour)? THC (the active component in marijuana) is fat soluble and stays in the body long after the intoxicating effects have subsided. This is particularly true for habitual users.
How will law enforcement be able to determine if one is high or not when THC levels are present? This is important. States that have legalized marijuana have undoubtedly had an increase in use of the drug and that means more people are driving under the influence. They are a danger to others.
But I digress. The issue is should Democrats put marijuana on the ballot to increase Democrat voter turnout (especially among the young)?
Enticing voters with pot kind of signals desperation and would only bolster the impression that politicians will do anything to keep power.
Democrats would love to offer pot as an incentive. They like their voters to be zombies who follow along without question.
And they also know one has to be stoned to vote for a Democrat.

Will This Make A Difference?

There is a report that the guy who was with Michael Brown, Dorian Johnson, has recanted his statement concerning what happened just before Brown was shot. Recall that Johnson said that Brown had his hands up and that Officer Wilson shot him in the back.
We know this was false because the autopsy shows that all shots entered from the front.
Where Johnson has changed his story is the part about Brown attacking Wilson. Now Johnson says that Brown did get into a physical confrontation with Officer Wilson AND that Brown tried to take his gun.

This is from a radio station that indicates it heard from a connected source. I have not seen any confirmation of this so I can only say that it was reported but not verified.
My question is will it make a difference? Now that the race baiters have planted their seeds and now that the rioters have caused mayhem and now that Eric Holder is on his way to the scene will it make a difference? The people who are calling for the arrest (and worse yet, the execution) of Wilson will not believe any other story than the one that they first heard and first believed. They had to have a story that fit their narrative of racial targeting and oppression of the black man and that is what they will stick with.
If there are no charges filed against Wilson then Ferguson MO will erupt in such a fashion that the past week will look like a Girl Scout campfire.
It is also important to note that no matter what the evidence presented Eric Holder will file some kind of civil rights suit against Officer Wilson. Holder will disregard any evidence that would prevent him from targeting Wilson because Holder hates white people.
There are plenty of witnesses and evidence is mounting that supports the officer’s version of the event but this will not matter and all hell will break loose if Wilson is not charged, tried, found guilty and executed.
Nothing else will please the race baiters who have used this event to raise funds and register voters (and loot for free stuff).
The truth does not matter to the race industry. The agenda is what is important.
Perhaps people should have waited for the evidence before they went bat crap crazy…

Armed Citizens; The Right Way To Go

Regardless of how one falls on the controversy in Missouri regarding who is at fault for the death of Michael Brown one thing is clear; the victims of the rioting and looting had nothing to do with it. The owners of these businesses are the victims of people who have no regard for society. If people are mad at the police then protest the police. If they are mad at government then protest government. They should not however, be destroying and stealing the property of people who did them no wrong.
There is no justification for it and it does not make their case stronger. It makes them look like a bunch of animals that were looking for a reason to riot and found one.
No one denies that these folks or any others have a basic right to protest. The First Amendment protects the right of people to PEACEABLY assemble and that is the key. There is nothing peaceful about what is happening in Ferguson.
The only businesses that seem to have escaped most of the damage are those whose owners and supporters protected the properties with firearms. Interestingly, the AR 15, the gun a Federal Judge said was not common and not a defensive weapon, has been displayed prominently in defense of property and life.
The police are not doing anything to protect the buildings. They can’t because they are overwhelmed and they really couldn’t care less about the safety of a building (or for that matter its occupants) when they are focused on their own safety.
This reality that the police cannot protect people might be why some police departments are telling citizens to arm themselves.
The latest example comes from none other than Detroit where residents have been advised by the police to buy firearms to protect themselves. Detroit is a dangerous place (as are most cities run by liberals) and the police usually show up to draw chalk lines around victims.
Their advice to people is to arm themselves and many people are taking that advice to heart.
A well armed citizen is the first line of defense of life and personal property. Liberals would have you believe that no one needs a gun but the police and the people who must live in the real world know differently.
The armed citizens of Ferguson are protecting themselves, their loved ones and their property.
Now folks in Detroit are being told to do the same.
Perhaps Detroit will thrive again when the criminals realize that the citizens are no longer easy targets. The criminals need not worry because they will move on to another place that is target rich.
Maryland might be inviting to them since the state has imposed unconstitutional gun laws.
A public service announcement to the criminals. Stick to the liberal parts of the state. Those folks do not like guns so you are not likely to get shot while robbing them.
Why should the rest of us be bothered with you when they refuse to protect themselves?

Maybe They Want Him Hanging Around

Barack Obama is trying to get millions of new Democrat voters into the country through his open border policy. The manufactured crisis on the southern border is of his doing and is designed for two things. It is designed to get more people (read Democrat voters) in while stoking hatred toward Republicans who oppose illegals waltzing in and it is part of the Alinsky plan to overwhelm the system to bring about socialism.
Obama is not getting anywhere with the Congress divided so he has decided to take matters into his own hands. Obama will work to grant amnesty to these illegals sometime near the end of summer.
This might sit well with the pro illegal supporters and certain members of the Hispanic community but it will not sit well with Hispanics who came here legally and it will not sit well with Democrats facing tough reelections.
Yes the end of the summer timeframe puts the Executive action right before the midterm elections so that many frustrated voters can take out their anger on Democrats.
Even if these Democrats say they are not in favor of Obama’s actions they will be tied to him because he is a Democrat. Most people will also be able to see that most of these Democrats are being less than honest when they claim not to support the actions of the guy they have sided with so many times over the past six years.
It almost seems like Obama wants Republicans to take control of the Senate. If they do and keep control of the House (a near certainty) then there will be no obstruction to impeachment.
Oh no, he said the “I” word. Yes I did. Judge Andrew Napolitano recently stated that the lawsuit filed by Republicans in the House over Obama’s abuse of power will go nowhere and is a waste of time. The only real ways to stop Obama are to impeach him or take money away from him.
Neither of those options can happen as long as Harry Reid is in charge of the Senate. If Republicans take control then both options are on the table.
The Republicans would be wise to defund as much as they can and deny Obama as much as possible to control him. That, however, does not mean he should not be impeached. They should certainly do that as well.
Obama has violated the Constitution a number of times and an Executive action on immigration would be the icing on the cake. There are plenty of reasons to impeach so the articles might be as wordy as Obamacare.
Obama seems ignorant of what is going on. He seems to think he has some mandate to do something just because he was elected. He fails to see that he is one part of a three part government where each has separate but equal powers. He is also ignorant of or ignores the fact that he is acting outside his lane.
I think most of this is purposeful because he is not stupid and his handlers have managed him well. They have him moving forward with the plan to collapse the country and his job is to soften people up (the idiots among us are already soft) and he does so by repeating things that are untrue so many times people start to believe them.
He can say that folks don’t want him just standing around as many times as he wants but that does not make it so. However, it plants the seeds for when he acts. He can then say well I told you no one wanted me standing around and Congress will not help me so I went it alone. Pat me on the back, bow down and kiss my ring and then get out of my face serf.
Did he say they don’t want him standing around or hanging around?

Is Barney Frank A Racist?

I have to ask the question because he is doing the same thing that resulted in many conservatives being labeled as such. Conservatives have said that Barack Hussein Obama lied to us about Obamacare. He lied when he said it would save money, that it would result in lower premiums and that you could keep your doctor (or health plan) if you liked your doctor (or health plan).
None of these things Obama said would happen did and those who called him out on it have been labeled as racist.
Barney Frank was a big cheerleader for Obamacare and he helped shove this monstrosity down the collective throats of Americans. Now he is saying that Obama lied to the people and implied that those who supported the lies knew they were doing so. His reference was specifically to the keep your health plan claim.
“I don’t understand how the president could have sat there and not been checking on that on a weekly basis. But, frankly, he should never have said as much as he did, that if you like your current health care plan, you can keep it. That wasn’t true. And you shouldn’t lie to people. And they just lied to people.” Chicks on the Right
In order for someone to lie that person has to know what he is saying is not true and there has to be an intent to deceive. Otherwise one is only guilty of being incorrect. In other words, if Obama were not lying he would be able to say that he did not know these things would turn out differently. Since Frank is telling us that THAT wasn’t true (past tense indicates it was known not to be true) and THEY (more than just Obama) just lied to people it is obvious from the context the real facts were known and were lied about.
This has been discussed in more detail in the past and it has been pointed out with more specific words that they knew it was not true while still telling the lie (kind of like a video caused Benghazi).
It is amazing to me that Frank is admitting this but since he is no longer in office he really has nothing to worry about. He can fess up and tell us the truth which is a miracle in and of itself.
Frank was a big supporter of Obamacare and he helped push it through so the only real issue I have with his epiphany is that he used the word THEY instead of WE.
You see, Frank was part of Congress and he knew the lie. He still pushed it on us so a more accurate version of what he said would be.
…And you shouldn’t lie to people. And WE just lied to people (just meaning simply and not in the immediate past).
All Democrats voted for this. Those who are still in Congress should be voted out of office this November. They forced us into something the majority did not want and they lied to us in the process.
They were not there for us so we should not be there for them.
One other thing. The idea of rationed care was part of the debate and the Democrats assured us this would not happen. They claimed we would have choices and that everything would be OK. We could all get doctors and care would not be rationed.
Those with Obamacare have limited choices to begin with and it looks like they will be worse off soon. Many doctors have begun to refuse Obamacare patients because the payment for services is too low. In other words, there will be too many patients and too few doctors willing to see them for Obamacare reimbursement. That means their care will be rationed.
The good news is those not on Obamacare will not have to wait as long to get appointments…
