Obama On Wrong Side Of History
Jan 30, 2009 Political
When Barack Obama was running for the presidency he made a lot of promises. This is nothing new as all politicians try to be everything to everyone and they all make tons of promises. Most people know that they cannot keep the promises and, more importantly, the voters know it.
That is, of course, except for Obama supporters. Peggy the Moocher actually believes that Obama will buy her gas and pay for her house and countless others, including the doting media, believe that Obama will change the world.
Barack Obama has tried to lower expectations since he was elected and even stated, in an interview, that it was campaign rhetoric. In other words, you didn’t actually believe that, did y’all?
During Obama’s less than stellar inauguration speech he said:
“To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history ….” [emphasis mine]
The sainted one is trying to get this economic stimulus boondoggle passed and he has been courting Republicans, not because he needs them to get it passed but because he needs them to share the blame if it fails to stimulate the economy (and it will be a failure). But along the way this disciple of Saul Alinsky used rule #13 in Rules for Radicals in an attempt to silence dissent (this is listed as rule 12 in some references).
[note]Rule 13: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)[/note]
Barack Obama picked a fight with Rush Limbaugh by saying that Republicans could not listen to Limbaugh and get anything done. Why would the president of the United States single out a private citizen for scorn? Why would the president go after anyone unless he felt that person was a threat? Interestingly, Limbaugh came out with his own economic plan in the spirit of bipartisanship and this seems to have stifled the sainted one.
Rush Limbaugh is a voice of dissent. Dissent use to be a good thing when it was Democrats dissenting. They told us constantly that dissent was a patriotic thing and their messiah even reiterated that point. The days of clinging to power by silencing dissent are over.
But then, as he has done since he swore in, Obama did the opposite of what he said. He said no lobbyists and he made an exception. He said no silencing of dissent and he wants to silence Limbaugh and any other voice that does not sing in harmony with his tune. Stop listening to Limbaugh or we can’t get anything done is the same thing as saying that the dissenting voice is getting in the way so we need to quiet it.
I know Obama’s ascent to the top was historic on a number of levels but it would seem that in practice Obama is on the wrong side of history.
And that is according to his own words.

Listen To Powell, Not Limbaugh?
Dec 12, 2008 Political
Colin Powell betrayed the party that enhanced his career and took good care of him over his career in order to vote for Barack Obama. Powell said that it was because of Sarah Palin but the real reason is that he voted color over party. At least that is what I felt when he endorsed Obama. I have always believed that Powell was not conservative and that he might be better off as a Democrat and it looks like that might be the case. It would appear that Powell endorsed Obama because of his color and his political beliefs.
Powell recently told people that the Republican party needed to change and that we needed to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. Powell asserts that Limbaugh spews fear and hatred. This is a bunch of hogwash but Powell asserts it as so because Limbaugh has not been kind to Democrats. Truth be told, he has not been kind to Republicans who are not conservative. Powell can believe that Limbaugh and people like him hurt John McCain but Limbaugh was not on McCain’s side. When he had only a choice of two McCain beat out Obama (as is the case with many Republicans) but Limbaugh has always been tough on McCain for his lack of conservatism.
I guess we are now suppose to listen to the wisdom of Powell because he will save the party? He has liberal views and he was never truly conservative. Couple that with him turning his back on members of our armed forces left behind in Vietnam (something McCain also did along with John Kerry) and one is left to wonder why we need to listen to what he says.
Colin Powell was a mediocre officer who had a successful career (military and civilian) because he was taken care of by people in the Republican party. Powell is smart and competent but it was Republicans, not Democrats, who elevated him to high office. Powell turned his back on his party in order to vote for a man of color. I stated before that voting for (or against) a person based on color is as valid a reason as any but at least have the guts to say that is what you are doing.
Powell probably did not have to worry about that because he was able to throw insults at a capable politician in Sarah Palin in order to cover his real motives.
That and he really leans liberal so she gave him cover there as well.
Rush Limbaugh is not going anywhere. He makes more money in a year doing what he does than Powell will make in a lifetime and Limbaugh has quite a following which is much larger than any following Powell might have.
Though after he endorsed Obama he became a darling of the moonbats who only a few years ago called for him to be charged with crimes for the Iraq phase of the war on terror.
I guess he is no longer an Uncle Tom to the black community who blindly follow Democrats to the plantation.
Powell wants the Republican party to retool and move left. What we need to do is move more right and stay with our conservative principles.
A good start is by getting rid of Powell and ensuring he has no platform in our party.

Rush Makes Lemonade from Democratic Lemons
Oct 14, 2007 Uncategorized
People either like Rush Limbaugh or they do not but no matter how people feel there is one thing they cannot deny and that is, the guy is a savvy business man. He built his talk show into a national program that is heard by millions of people each week and he has many ventures that bring him lots of money. He is generous with that money and he makes sure that he gives to and raises money for the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation which awards scholarships to the children of fallen heroes.
Recently, Rush Limbaugh was misquoted in something he said on his program. Despite the fact that his morning update and the topic at hand dealt with one phony soldier, he was excoriated for using the words when they were taken out of context and when Media Matters, an organization Hillary helped found, made it appear as if Limbaugh was talking about all soldiers who disagree with the war, not just the ones who are truly phony soldiers. Interestingly, the very Democrats who are trying to bring our troops home in defeat, the very ones who refused to denounce Moron.org for talking badly about General Petraeus, jumped up to defend the honor and dignity of our troops. Harry Reid, the low life, scum sucking maggot, wrote a letter to the company that syndicates Rush Limbaugh demanding an apology, which the boss decided he was not going to do.
In any event, this was the Democrats talking about Limbaugh and trying to discredit him. They tried to portray him as anti troop and a bad guy. This is all part of a plan by Media Matters and the rest of the liberal groups to discredit and silence Conservative talk before the next election. One might have thought that Harry Reid had the upper hand and that he was going to make Limbaugh look like he does not support the troops but he underestimated Rush Limbaugh.
Rush took the lemons that Harry Reid gave him in that letter and turned them into lemonade. Rush has the original letter with the signatures of the 41 Senators who signed it and he is auctioning it off on eBay. This auction is not to make money for Rush though because 100% of the money made from the sale of the letters will go to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Fund. Rush is using the stupidity of Harry Reid to earn money for the very people Reid and the cretins at Media Matters want you to think he does not support.
Once again, Rush Limbaugh outsmarted the idiot Democrats. I heard that the Dems were not too happy about this but there is absolutely nothing they can do. Rush can do as he pleases with the letter and he is selling it. As of this writing the bid is up to $40,200 which is worth more than the value of the 41 people who signed the damned thing.
Way to go Rush.
Hey Harry Reid; How does it feel to get screwed in front of the entire nation?

Does John Edwards Wear a Skirt?
Oct 5, 2007 Political
Elizabeth Edwards has made her views known regarding Rush Limbaugh only she took a different approach than attacking him for what he did not say about our soldiers. Instead, she attacked Limbaugh’s draft status, which was 1-Y (changed to 4-F when 1-Y was done away with) in order to indirectly say that Limbaugh should not call anyone a phony soldier when he had what Edwards views as a phony deferment. I will not discuss what Limbaugh said because everyone with a brain knows exactly what he said and what was meant by it. The Democrats are using this non issue to make something out of nothing. The old saying goes that if you tell a lie long enough it is accepted as true. That is why Global Warming is a “settled” issue.
Rush Limbaugh had a legitimate deferment from military service. Regardless of what people think about it or what he could have done to make himself eligible, he was legitimately deferred by the military for a legitimate medical problem. It is amazing to me that Edwards would take issue with Limbaugh’s words considering the phony soldier her husband teamed up with during the last Presidential election. Let us look at her husband, who has been less than honest about his draft status. From what I can tell he registered and had a draft number but according to one site he should have been drafted and was not. I have to wonder why that is and why Ms. Edwards would bring up something that could end up in a backlash. The last thing Edwards needs is a group of people discussing his military record…
What I really don’t understand is why Elizabeth Edwards keeps injecting herself into issues. She is not running for office and her constant babble is not helpful. John Edwards already has a reputation as a girly man and having his wife speak out, many times to defend him, does not help with that image. Edwards gives the impression that he is a pampered little wuss who cannot fight his own battles. While I realize that in the Limbaugh remarks Elizabeth was not taking up for John I also realize that real men do not send their wives out to take up for them. I can just imagine John Edwards getting into an argument that leads to fisticuffs and before the first punch is thrown he runs in to get Elizabeth to fight for him.
This is America and the Edwards are free to say what they want but before they attack Limbaugh for what he said and before they twist his words, they should be prepared to demonstrate how much they have done for the troops. How much money has John Edwards raised for the military? What veteran organizations or causes has he helped out? I am willing to bet that Limbaugh has raised more money for the military than Edwards has raised for his campaign.
After watching this iteration of the John Edwards ego stroking campaign, I am convinced that he wears skirts at home while Elizabeth wears the pants.
